Julep offers some of the most amazing & unique cocktails! Their whiskey selection is incredible and the ambiance is perfect for a date night or fun time with friends. Ample parking and valet available. We were not able to try their food as we were told the kitchen is closed on Sundays - however, this seems like a spot mostly for cocktails anyways. I would definitely go back so continue drinking my way through their extensive cocktail list.

Hands down, some of the best cocktails I’ve had! The consistency is spot on, and the bartender clearly has both skill and passion for the craft. You can tell Carlos truly enjoy what he does, and it shows in every drink. Highly recommend!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great place to go for amazing drinks and food. The sliders and flatbread pizza were great, but the crab dip is a must. Ask about the drink that takes about 15 min. to make. You can order your first drink and by the time you want your second, it will be ready. I wish I could remember the name of it sorry. The place is very inviting and the dress was casual but some were dressed up.

What an awesome tasting dinner at Julep by the Riel Chef. I have always loved Julep, but the tasting dinner was a nice touch. Great food, great drinks and great place to be. The steak at the end was overdone but everything else was on point. The shrimp were tender and not over cooked. The tartar was an absolute star with the dill and spices. I had a great time and my only complaint was the steak. Still great!!!

I can say Julep is my most favorite cocktail bar in Houston until this point. They offer the huge cocktail menu which is carefully categorized by types of liquor so that customers can easily find their favorite ones. I also love the vibes her, warm and cozy, welcoming and friendly. Their servers and bartenders are also helpful and dedicated. There is just nothing to complain about Julep.

Looking for an amazing cocktail spot for date night or girl’s decompress moment, then check out Julep! Our bartender Lucia was absolutely fantastic! Her and our waitresses were attentive and a joy to be around. Chef Calvin was a class act. He checked on us to make sure everything was made to our liking! I can absolutely see why they won the James Beard award last year! Brandon was also a charmer!

Gorgeous ambiance and equally full on a Saturday night. There is parking in the back as well as valet I believe, much in this area is a godsend. Friend and I came here and enjoyed three of their drinks and the lobster roll and the baked Brie. Personally we liked the lychee highball quite a bit! Both our favorites I think. The other two were just ok (bad brains and snake bit) but they are quite strong. I like that even if the drink tastes ok cause I feel like I'm getting my moneys worth. Restaurant itself gives a cozy yet bougee vibe with the low lights and table lamps. Service was ok, we had to ask for some things a few times over. Over all I would come back to try more of the menu for sure. Definitely a place where you can order drinks and chat for hours.

For parking, valet is available but my friends and I did street parking on White St where there was plenty of space available. My friends and I had a reservation for Friday night and we were originally expecting to be seated in the main area but since Juelp was having a soft launch of their speakeasy bar, we were seated there instead. The interior is intimate and moderately lit unlike some speakeasies where the lighting can be very dim. The menu is quite extensive with a variety of different drinks available. For the speakeasy, there was a list of new drinks available at a discounted rate of $10 due to the soft launch. That being said, I ended up ordering the Golden Halo since that was the recommended drink for people who enjoy very sweet drinks such as myself- and it did not disappoint! My other friends ordered the Sakura Current and the Silk & Oak which they all enjoyed. As for food, my friends and I ordered truffle fries, baked brie, confit flatbread, and oysters. Personally, I thought the fries were a little too skinny/small but the truffle seasoning was good! The baked brie and confit flat bread were delicious and the oysters were refreshing. Overall, this was such a cute spot and I’m glad to have been able to try it out. On top of the good drinks and bites, our server was very knowledgeable and welcoming. Looking forward to coming back!

Julep is a nice cocktail bar near downtown Houston. I found this place on social media marketed for their great cocktails. They did not disappoint because the cocktail selection was outstanding. I appreciated how the drinks were separated by spirit. I went for the Hurricane because I wanted rum and it was a great choice! The ambiance inside was very vibey and a great choice for a romantic date night. Service was straight forward, nothing to complain or rave about. Didn’t appreciate the valet parking for such an early reservation and small parking lot, but it was tip only so price wasn’t a factor, just the principle. Overall 8/10.

Super busy place but great for after dinner cocktails. Staff super helpful and get you seated as soon as they can. Drinks were amazing. The atmosphere was bustling but intimate and the service was great considering how busy it was.

I live down the block and felt like trying one of their seasonal drinks. I got there more than half an hour before close and the bartenders looked at me strangely and ignored me when I came in. When I ordered my drinks, the bartender Stephanie said “Just so you know, last call is right now.” Okay great, I don’t typically imply to guests that they need to leave as soon as they get somewhere but whatever. The drinks were subpar and it looks like there was a separate area that had plenty of patrons who probably weren’t made to feel unwelcome. Probably won’t come back. Not losing any sleep over it.

Great spot for cocktails with a lovely ambiance, perfect for date night. My first drink wasn’t great, so I sent it back and ordered a Mojito instead. Not sure if we were charged for the first one, but our bill came out to $69 for three drinks. While it is on the pricey side, the atmosphere makes up for it. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing—our waitress was hard to find, and several times I noticed her on her phone instead of checking on us.

The drinks here were pretty good in taste. Definitely refreshing. It was definitely a drink that sneaks on you. I was telling my boyfriend that they were weak. I was wrong lmaooooo. The ambiance was nice. It was definitely date night material. It wasn't too loud. It was very vibey. The lighting was very dim and sexy. It wasn't very busy, which is why I was wondering why it took so long for the waitress to come back to our table. She didn't really check on us after we received our drinks. So we only had one drink and left. However, she was nice to us.

Lost the creativity and love of the bartending craft, more worried about manipulating a guest experience for greater profit. Had to pay for parking when no one was there. I asked for something new - and gave examples. Bartender blended all the example I gave him and he couldn’t describe the ingredients of the drink made. He just told me a bunch of colors. Feeling drained after the experience, didn’t finish the drink. Probably a bit of wasted quality alcohol too. Not going back after until the next staff overhaul.
