This place is a classic Houston coffee shop that's been a local favorite for years. The atmosphere is cozy and classic, with a bustling, always-busy vibe. The baristas are incredibly friendly and welcoming. I ordered a flat white, and while the coffee was good, it wasn't very strong. The only downside is that the seating isn't the most comfortable, so it's not the ideal spot for a long working/ studying session.

Great coffee, great pastries - nice vibe! A line when I got there but it moved at a good pace. The iced oat milk latte was great! I'd certainly go back just for the coffee. The pastries were also yummy - I got a chocolate hip cookie and a blueberry muffin. Not too sweet, fresh and good!

Catalina is one of my favorite coffee shops in Houston. If you’re into really excellent coffee from different sources, this is a great pick because they rotate their single origin espresso and gold cup options almost daily The service is lovely, always - and the ambiance is always peaceful. A fair warning that parking can get packed and tricky due to other folks parking in their lot in the area - there is street parking for free if you need it though just don’t be afraid to walk a little!

A latte for 4.50???? A latte with syrups and alternative milk?? I am ASTONISHED. Had the most lovely iced vanilla latte with oatmilk here. Beautiful place with parking in the back and super friendly staff. The coffee itself was delightful and creamy, as well as perfectly sweet. I loved the vibes here, super upbeat with tons of laughter and good coffee. I’ll be back!

CC has really friendly and helpful staff. I stopped by after lunch for a double shot of espresso and I wasn’t disappointed. I didn’t have to wait long even with the large number of people inside. The choices are great and I’m sure the pastry selection is better earlier in the day. I would definitely visit again and try other items on the menu. A great coffee shop. Don’t miss the back entrance from the parking lot. They have a wide range of indoor seating; there is outdoor seating in the front and on the side of the building with some shade.

Catalina Coffee has a great atmosphere — simple, stylish, and perfect for just sitting with a cup and relaxing. The coffee was smooth and well made, and you can tell they take it seriously. Nice spot to work, read, or meet someone. It’s popular so it can get a little crowded, but that just shows how good it is. I’d definitely come back again.

It’s a great place to catch up with a friend, enjoy a quiet moment indoors on a rainy day, or grab a high-quality coffee to go. The space has a cute, thoughtfully curated aesthetic, and while I didn’t try the food, the pastries looked fresh and tempting. That said, it’s not the most comfortable spot for an extended sit—seating consists mainly of wooden benches with no back support. It’s also not ideal for working or studying, as no outlets are available to charge laptops. This might not be the best fit if you’re looking for a workspace. Parking in front of the shop is tight, but there’s a lot directly across the street that makes access easier. All in all, Catalina is a go-to neighborhood. It's a spot for enjoyable coffee and conversation. If you’re coming here to relax and unplug rather than plug-in, this is your spot!

I remember when I used to visit them back when I was in middle school, and I finally visited them again a decade later as a college graduate. It still has that cozy and casual interior with artistic works on the wall, which are available for sale. I got a hot fall spiced latte. The latte has a creamy texture with lots of froth, which I personally really like, and the latte was reasonably priced. Seating can be limited, as the space is quite small. There is parking in the back, but it is shared with a business and can get full. There was also a line, and the wait can take some time. Overall, Catalina Coffee has a vibrant but laid-back atmosphere and emphasizes on no-frills coffee, focusing on the basics, essentials, and consistency.

Very nice people. I got a hot tea and it was good, my boyfriend got an iced mocha and I tasted it and it was yummy. There’s no WiFi so if you are planning to get work done you either need a hot spot or this place wouldn’t work for it. The seating was also bench style so if you need back support, they don’t have that type of seating. Very very nice people and good drinks. I think this would be a good space for sitting and talking with others rather than getting work done because there’s no WiFi.

Good coffee at a reasonable price, but the place could really use some renovation and a deep clean—it feels a bit neglected. NOT A STUDY SPACE!!! While this place is cheaper than other coffee shops in the surrounding area, the lower price point couldn’t make up for the manufactured “rustic” feel of the cafe. It feels like the owners couldn’t decide between being a modern or cozy cafe, so they miraculously chose to incorporate the worst aspects of each one, turning this cafe into a Frankenstein of a homely coffee shop. The lack of outlets and uncomfortable wooden chairs notably lacking backrests, clearly signals the owners desire for short term clientele. If you’re looking for a quick cup of coffee, then this place is right up your lane; if you’re searching for a place to work or do homework, find another place :) That being said, I appreciate that it is a local business and has free parking.
