Great soccer place !
Nice field, games are played with futsal balls and it makes it very different and fun.
Great spot for soccer. They just remade the main pitch and the fake grass is fabulous
Love the coffee! 100% recommend
Great place for a good game of soccer and quick snack
Views and feels of south American local coffee, snack, and street futbol hang outs.
Great atmosphere, soccer leagues, and chill people!
Shout out to Jonathan for the amazing service.
Great place for quick soccer match.
Good coffee, great service, great environment.
Relax and friendly
Very cool and fun place
Fun place
It was amazing the service was good and it was fun
Great location, great fields (2 of them thangs) and awesome views. Coffee shop inside w a chill ambiance. this spot will continue to get better as they grow the leagues and outdoor areas. recommend to chill out watch some footy or if youre brave enough to step into the cage
Inside is cool and cozy. Chill music above; comfy couches below. Good espresso.
Excellent place for have fun with friends! Always is a good time for play soccer Right there.
Great service & perfect coffee!
Great place to play some footy. 2 fields with lights to have a kick-about at any time of the day. Great spectator seating as well! ⚽️
Nice place for a pick up game. Parking is not too bad and the field is in good shape
Cool little artificial turf field where you can join a 5v5 futsal league. Once they build the area up a little more, it will be an awesome place to play.
Definitely one of my favorite “hidden gems” — shop is usually not crowded at all, great to get some work or studying in!
More of a 5v5 soccer field than a coffee shop. But the coffee and snacks are good.
Great atmosphere, great place to host events. Clean and spacious, you won't regret coming here!
I come here all the time with my daughter. Great coffee and a cool environment. Much better than SBX!
Really good soccer facility and not too pricey either. They accommodate pickup groups as well as a league
We love Toros! It’s our go to for neighborhood coffee and quick bites. Fantastic baristas.
When a certain heritage is applied professionally into a running usual business model, it either destroy it or make it outstanding. Toro Coffee, did something else! They provided a phenomenal coffee latino approach that is breathtaking . A must visit in my books !!! Wally Jo's THUMBS-UP
this place is so close to my job! I love stopping here before heading to work. their coffee is delicious and the location is great!
My husband and I had tried to go to another coffee shop, but it ended up with us looking to go to another. My husband got to looking and happened to come across this one. Glad it happened because we both ended up really liking this place. My husband enjoyed his hot chocolate and me the mocha. They do have pastries, but didn't get any. I'm not sure what else they may or may not have. There's seating inside with a big TV. There's also outdoor seating, but with a roof over you so even if it were to rain you'd be good. They have large sized jenga and chess you can play outside. There's two soccer fields. You should definitely check out their website to learn more. It's dog friendly. I noticed dog treats on the counter when we were about to order our drinks. my husband asked where outside they could be and seemed like it didn't matter. The person we spoke to said they could even be inside.
A wonderful location without a line. My barista helped me with my order and made it perfectly. More people should be stopping by here. There is also accessible WiFi and plenty of open seating. Pastries, baked goods, and other bottled beverages are also always available. This is a hidden gem yet to be discovered. This should be your next coffee shop stop in the city.
Great vibes, great coffee. Tons of places to plug in and work inside. Pet friendly outdoor patio; great for grabbing coffee and a snack while socializing your dogs with humans. Owner is super chill and has created a welcoming vibe. Building has a lot of sustainable recycled furniture. Definitely earned repeat visits from a coffee addict 🙂
A wonderful center of the soccer community in 1st Ward. But don't feel like you need to know soccer to come here they have wonderful coffee too. My only criticism is their brevity of food selection, but the unique atmosphere and the strength of their community make this a top tier coffee shop in the Houston area.
We came to have some great time with some of our church members and I definitely recommend it here, the place is clean with good vibes, the coffee was amazing & the guy working provides us jerseys to play and he speaks english and spanish which is good not all of our church members speak English God bless y’all
Great place for an evening of football and hanging out
I can't describe how perfect this place is. Great spot for remote work. Good WiFi, snacks, and beverages. You can sit inside, outside next to the field, or the balcony looking down at the field. The beef empanadas are fuego 🔥 😋. They have two beautiful futsol fiends that they keep maintained ⚽️.
Cool soccer theme coffee shop with soccer on the big screen and people playing outside. I like the slam against Starbucks on their trash can, and their coffee is legit. Not the fanciest coffee or presentation, if you are into that thing. I’m not so I can safely say this place is pretty fantastic. Excellent price and good service too. It’s worth a visit even if you aren’t a huge soccer enthusiast.
Coffe was very good. Not a ton of options of pastries. Plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor. Bagel is not It though. It was just a packaged bagel that they heat up and serve. It was very hard and chewy. My vanilla iced latte was delicious and actually one of the best I've had. Decently priced as well .
Awesome stop for coffee or fútbol. Staff was very kind. Facilities clean. Prices low. A very nice venue for a small meeting, studying or a quick break. They have extended hours and soccer field can be rented out. Showers available in the bathroom.
If you are a football enthusiast, this establishment provides an excellent environment to socialize with friends while savoring a delightful cup of coffee and enjoying the sport.
My first time here and this place was just an awesome place to play some soccer and hang out with some friends while drinking some great coffee. Loved our time here.
Great place for a soccer game with your friends. It's free, just walk in and start playing, there's no sign in. Two artificial turf fields. Nicely marked with the white lines. Nets all around to prevent the ball from flying over. Nice large seating area with picnic benches, sofas and complimentary games like chess, connect four, Jinga. Small cafe offers bottled water, Gaterade, minor snacks. You can sit inside in the A/C and watch the games on the tv.
Super cool and unique cafe! Definitely recommend for any soccer fan. Check out @howdyhou on TT for more ❤️
Great coffee and place to catch a soccer game from the 12 leagues they have rotating on the newly renovated soccer field, daily. Gotta check it out!
Great spot! Dirty chai was yummy and reasonably priced, street parking was fine, plenty of space inside w natural lighting. Good wifi, outlets.

Nice little place to hang out and vibe with the family. The Music is fire and fields are nice to play in, will definitely be coming back.
Me and my kids been coming here for a couple of years. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Its gotten popular. Still come here with my kids and their friends and let them play on any open fields while i study or do work. Definitely recommend... But really should i recommend 🤔, because i really dont want more people coming to my secret gem lol 😅
This place is AMAZING! Angie is an incredible manager! The fields are in great shape and the people that attend are of outstanding character. Never worried about anything other than having a good time. Also they have Happy Hour!
Toros is an awesome little coffee shop attached to a community soccer field. They have fresh little breakfast sandwiches and pastries as well as a few other options. They even have a couple local beer options to grab when you’re enjoying a match.

Nice soccer field
Cute cafe with lovely indoor/outdoor seating. Fantastic coffee!
Cool to watch football and drink coffee e
Great place, restrooms not so great tho. 🤷🏻♀️
New turf down. Decent setup with good referees
Toros is a really cool concept: a coffee shop and soccer field all in one. They have games here and you can even rent the field out if you want to have a match with your friends. I just come here for the coffee since it's right in my neighborhood, but it's just fun to come here and randomly catch a soccer game while you're sipping your latte or drinking your shakerata.
My friends and I every weekend to play Soccer there. Vibes are nice and people are friendly. Great outdoor soccer field
Coffee was sold. Snacks good. Would have liked to have seen a pick up soccer game.
Fun and trendy but the turf has many holes and patches. Will still play there again.
Nice, but it'd be nice if they respected the closing time. *Edited Management reached out to our team owner and explained the closing time situation. I appreciate them reaching out, investigating the reason for the poor review and explaining the time situation. We visit Toros quite often and really like the establishment as a whole from the family and pet-friendly environment, to the coffee and of course the soccer environment. We look forward to our soccer days so when we're there, we just want to make the most of it. As a former soccer park owner myself, I know first hand what it's like to serve soccer aficionado customers.
Nice little spot in the Sawyer Yards area, caddy corner from Buffalo Bayou Brewery. Toros HTX combines a coffee shop with an outdoor artificial turf field with futsal dimensions. The name derives from a semi-professional soccer team founded by the same owners of the coffee shop in the early 2000s, the Houston Toros. Judging by the lack of people present in the coffee shop, though, it seems the focus is still very much more on the soccer in the form of field rental and league play than coffee. Regardless, the menu offers all your standard coffee options, though it is strictly coffee with no food options. There is seating inside with a projector and TV showing soccer matches, picnic tables outside under an awning, and an uncovered upstairs patio which can both be used to watch the soccer taking place on the field. The building also has an interesting flair of its own, having been constructed from recycled parts from other buildings such as industrial freezer doors by one of the owners who is an architect. On the walls hang paintings of headless, armless, and kneeless players wearing jerseys of classic soccer rivalries like Boca Juniors vs River Plate, Manchester United vs Manchester City, US vs Mexico, and Brazil vs Argentina. Outside, there is also a large mural of legendary soccer players Diego Maradona, Carlos Valderrama, Zinedine Zidane, and Pele. In regards to the coffee, the butter pecan latte I ordered was excellent with a rich, creamy flavor and texture. As a lifelong soccer player and fan, it was also pleasant to sip said coffee while taking in the game being played on the TVs in addition to the "live" game taking place on the outdoor field. Given the lack of people there for the coffee, however, it didn't give off much of a coffee shop vibe, and the young lady working seemed a bit bored, having only to attend to the players on the field rather than many customers. As much as I did enjoy the soccer aspect, I think the only thing that would bring me back to Toros HTX as a coffee shop for my normal coffee shop activities of reading, writing and working would be the outlook of downtown from the upstairs patio, provided weather made it comfortable (often not a thing in Houston, especially in regards to heat and humidity). I would, however, definitely stop in with friends for a quick cup or to partake in the soccer itself.

I stop in once a week for a coffee and a ham and cheese croissant. Angie is usually there and she is wonderful. The sandwich is always perfect and the coffee is always delicious. She’s so friendly and welcoming. I came in on a day that she wasn’t there and ordered a ham and cheese sandwich It was around 1 o’clock. I was the only person there and the guy said they only serve that for breakfast. I said do you have the Supplys and he said yes, but I can only make that for breakfast. That was strange. Came back another day. He was there again. He made me a turkey and cheese croissant sandwich as they were out of ham. There were three tiny pieces of turkey on my sandwich It was so disappointing!! I even pointed it out and he said he was only supposed to put three slices. Somehow, I don’t believe that. I will never go back there when Angie is not working.
Cool place to watch my boyfriend play soccer They have games playing, music and a coffee bar. You can sit outside next to the field or upstairs and watch from above! I appreciate that they have wifi so I sit in the café area and can watch my partner play too!

Poor customer service. The place was empty, but when we walked in the barista behind the counter didn’t even acknowledge us for a good 10 minutes as we stood there. Weird. But decent atmosphere and it was nice to watch the soccer games.
I went for coffee after a run. It was not that great. They didn't have milk and I don't think they make their own syrups because my latte was meh. But did have a great atmosphere at least!
Okay place. Inconvenienced the barista when I asked for the cookie to be warmed up. No one else was here…
Fields are small and the the field is uneven. The atmosphere is nice with a coffee shop right next to the field. A bit expensive to play in
Wanted coffee so I saw it after running errands. Cool theme soccer and coffee. The cashier was super friendly but when I asked for 2 black coffees I was deferred to the menu. Then after ordering 2 Americanos that I'll enjoy but didn't really want I have 2 wait 5-6min for the water to heat. (Coffee is tasty though) I'll come back cause I like SB but I'll know what to expect next time. 🤘🏽
Good place to play soccer. Good atmosphere and plenty of tables to seat and watch the matches. However, the fields don't have any fence that separate so the ball could end out of the lot. Besides, I don't recommend to play tournaments there because they usually call the same.referee and this guy is so bad and biased on that, so that would give you hard time during the game.
It’s a great little neighborhood coffee spot. We like going here. Our only issue is sometimes there is friendly and professional staff working and other times there is not.

I really wanted to like this place because my boyfriend plays there, I went on Monday of this week at night the coffee was lukewarm and tasted burnt, and it took over 15 minutes to get a simple latte even though the cafe wasn’t busy… The staff seemed distracted & not very friendly it was just one person a chubby guy with a dirty long beard im surprised baristas are required to be clean cut at all times. Guy seemed bothered when i walked in. The space itself looks nice but it wasn’t very clean, tables had crumbs on them. For prices and location I expected better service

Is the AC working now?
This place says they close at 12, but lately they kick out their patrons and turn the lights off at 11:30.
Cappuccino order was served with room temperature milk.
Coffee was horrible but the place is cool
This place used to be a fantastic place to play and hang out with your team. However, now the schedule is never released until hours before kickoff. How is anyone supposed to plan ahead for that? Teams that play the early games never have enough players because of that. Also, people have jobs that require planning. The owner needs to hire someone to be in charge of scheduling. At this rate, people are wasting their money by consistently missing games because there is no organization what so ever. Don't plan on making any plans the night of your games because who knows what time you'll be playing.
The coffee is fine. The atrocious odor in the place is not. It's that smell that is like cigarette butts and jock straps, thrown into a hamper in the corner and left to fester for 1000 years. Nicotine and taint. You have to wash your clothes and shower for thirty minutes to even approach feeling normal again after visiting. Even then, it's like a layer of the nicotaint is still adhering to your nasal passages. Hopefully when my cells have all replicated and the nicotainted ones have died and been replaced and removed, the wisps of this odor will finally be exorcised from my being.
The place and food nice but it's no the first time some people broke and theft the vehicles parked at the parking lot. Managers don't do it nothing
Three o’clock in the morning and I can still hear ther it music clear into my bedroom
PLEASE BE AWARE!!! RACIST ESTABLISHMENT! IF YOU ARE BLACK DO NOT SPEND A DIME HERE! My cousin met her fiancé here a few years ago and he wanted to do a proposal here and spoke to the owner of the establishment and they gave him permission without having to make a reservation or payment. We have been to the establishment multiple times planning and talking to workers about the proposal so multiple employees were aware of today. Our family arrived two hours before the proposal to set up and not once did any employee say anything .. TWO minutes before the finance annd my cousin arrived for the surprise some random dude saying he’s the owner tried to shut down the proposal and demand $250 from us! It was a terrible experience and he ruined the moment for the couple. I WILL NEVER SET FOOT HERE AGAIN. VERY DISAPPOINTED
I am extremely disappointed with the customer service at this establishment. My cousin had planned a proposal here, with prior approval from the owner. However, on the day of the event, the owner suddenly demanded $250 to proceed with the proposal. This unexpected and unprofessional behavior ruined what was supposed to be a special day. I am deeply dissatisfied with this experience.
Think again before reserving this restaurant for any special moments - extreme lack of communication and customer service tact when planning a surprise proposal, nearly ruining the entire experience for the couple and family.
The owner had us shut down our cousins proposal, even knowing PRIOR to the engagement that this was happening. Ruined a very special day for 2 special people!
manager Sage is very rude to people that pay for the soccer league and unprofessional.
Went craving some coffee at night theirs no sign saying they stop serving coffee at a certain hour so I walk in and theirs no one inside the building , I thought the worker was maybe outside watching people play and I waited around 10 minutes for someone to come take my order and no one ever came inside.
Cool spot nice coffee and drinks The guy taking my order was abit sassy and on his phone via earbuds when I was asking for a receipt. Even when asking for password its a instant " I can't do anything " I probably won't come back due to lack of customer service
I’ve had a pretty disappointing experience with their COED league—especially as a free agent joining the “house” team. Last season, we paid $99 for 8 games, but right before playoffs, we were told last-minute that we wouldn’t be playing. Instead, we were offered a “discount for next season,” which felt like a poor way to handle our time and money. Despite the letdown, our love for the sport convinced us to give it another try this season. Unfortunately, only 3 players showed up for our first game, and we were scrambling to find others just to play. When we asked for help filling in, we were told each sub would have to pay $12—even though we had already paid for a full team. When I voiced that this didn’t seem fair, I was met with, “This is a business, not just for fun.” I understand it’s a business, but that kind of attitude doesn’t exactly build community. I was also told, “I’ve been doing this for 15 years…” but let’s be real—platforms like Plei and Sports Social (my personal favorite 😍 ) are the ones truly bringing people together. They host games nearly every day of the week, create a fun and inclusive environment, and genuinely know how to treat players with respect. They are the reason people keeps going. Without them, you wouldn’t have “business”!!!
I’ve enjoyed playing at the Toros soccer field in the past, but the quality has really declined. The field is poorly maintained, with loose ends on the artificial grass and holes, making it unsafe to play. They only had one size 5 soccer ball available, and it was sadly flat. Additionally, the pinnies provided weren’t washed or clean. I really hope they make improvements soon, as the field has great potential!
Nice place but they have let go their fields. Those fields are completely destroyed full of holes and missing whole sections of turf. You can get injured easily under those conditions.
Turf on main field needs to be replaced. There patches missing and you can literally see the rocks/ dirt. The netting over the goals needs to be properly secured as it’s always hanging. Players have twisted their ankle here a couple times due to poor condition of the field. Management/ owner does both seem to care of players safety as many people complain about the condition and they dont fix the issue. Location is great but the condition of the field is deteriorated. Avoid this field until repair/ replacement is made.
First time at this lovely establishment, and I can truly sense the community-forward spirit that this coffee shop embodies. What’s hard to wrap my head around, however, is the unwelcoming and unapproachable demeanor of the barista I encountered. It genuinely felt like a blow to what should have been a warm, human experience. I’m not here to shame or seek compensation—far from it. In fact, I’d do anything for the chance to serve others in a role like that. Kindness, even in small doses, has the power to bridge vast divides. I sincerely wish the barista well and only hope this serves as a gentle reminder to bring your best self forward. I’d be happy to remove this review if the owner would kindly reach out—not for freebies, but simply for a wholesome, human-to-human conversation
