Bianca G. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional. She checked on me at just the right times, made great menu recommendations, and had such a positive attitude that it genuinely made the whole dining experience better. It’s rare to get service that feels both efficient and personal, but she absolutely nailed it. I had such a great experience at this ramen restaurant and honestly can’t wait to go back. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. The space was clean, cozy, and had that perfect comfort-food vibe that makes you want to sit down, relax, and enjoy your meal.
Food was great and the portions on the Shinigami ramen are beautiful for a big back like myself. Bianca, our server was super sweet and attentive! Loved the atmosphere. If you love anime and good food this is the place.
Had a great time! Went today to celebrate my brothers birthday and had such great service from our server Christian. He was so helpful and nice, even giving a great drink recommendation for me when the drink I wanted wasn’t available. The food was amazing too! Thank you guys for giving my brother an awesome birthday meal :)
Daniel and his team are phenomenal. The quality of food, service and atmosphere are amazing. While I’m excited to try their other 3 locations with the Japanese inspired layout, this location has left an impression that will have me, my sister and boyfriend coming back regularly. The salmon carpaccio was magnificent, hoping this makes a come back!
LEGIT 24 hour ramen spot! We came by here in the morning and this place did not disappoint. You’re greeted right when you walk in. The food was so good, they even options besides Ramen. All the food does come out at once, good thing to know. The pork tacos were mouth watering, I need the recipe!!! I ordered fried rice, I wasn’t not a fan of the radish (?) on top but it was remarkably tasty otherwise. My friend ordered the Ramen and it busted down. I would love to see how it looks at night. We each spend less than $20 for two.
2am 5am 3 in the afternoon it doesn’t matter their always open and always busy and it’s always consistent fast and easy. The broths from miso to tonkatsu to the Tori brother all have been amazing but my all time favorite as you can see is the luffy for what ever reason it just does it for me my runner up is the build your own bowl which comes out pretty close but with some tempura and extra tamago. But you can do it really any way you want. The atmosphere is typical uptown fair young people mostly so it’s bustling the vibe is always chill and the staff are always really nice especially considering this place never closes. I have been here several times now and it’s honestly never gotten old the menu is actually quite vast the drunken gyoza which is one of my favorites anywhere are always perfect and I get a strong sensation that who ever curated the menus eats the food because it has the feel of someone who enjoys food. Rather then someone who likes the concept of food as art which seems to have become the trend as of late. Much to my dismay. At any rate for 24 and a tip honestly this is worth it every day of the week and I would definitely be here more if I lived close. It’s good enough I go out of my way to go here above really most all of the other ramen houses. Tbh this is what I know trust and like and i have had many a bowl of noodle. Honestly if you haven’t tried it or on the fence do it. And if you have but want to know if it really was that good yes it was go back and have it again. Life is short one should eat well. 🤷🏻♂️👍🏼
Came here around 11 pm on a Sunday. My second time trying ramen. The host, Ben, was incredibly funny. Victor, our waiter, was very attentive to me and my homegirl. Items ordered: For appetizer, we ordered “Kara-ge” which is like a saucy fried chicken bites and also “Drunken gyoza” and had it fried. For entree, I ordered the “Da Oxtail” and she ordered “The Luffy”. Desert ordered; - mango and matcha mochi Waiter gave good recommendations. Music was good. TV was playing anime on the scream. Loved all anime wallpaper decor on the walls. I’ll be back 🥹
This restaurant is not to be missed. Exceptional food that is above quanlity in taste and presentation, stellar service (especially by Kora, you are a rockstar!) And great vibes. The loyalty cards are a very thoughtful touch to keep customers coming back.... and... we will rest assured.
The food was good, love the dumplings! And THANK YOU Fernando for going above and beyond it is truly appreciated! You saw we didn’t have a waiter and had been sitting for a while and came up to us and explained the menu and options as it was our first time there we didn’t really know what to order.
Hands down my favorite ramen spot in Houston! The broth is rich and flavorful, the noodles are perfectly cooked, and every bowl I’ve tried has been absolutely delicious. The staff is attentive and friendly, and the menu offers plenty of options for every taste. If you’re coming on a weekend late at night, just know it can get very packed. I recommend getting on the waitlist ahead of time or making a reservation to avoid a long wait. Happy slurping!! Oh and don’t forget to try the drowning gyoza (;
Our server Fernando was phenomenal!!! He went above and beyond for our first visit to Shokku Ramen. We came to celebrate my daughter's 20th birthday and the food, service and atmosphere did not disappoint! Fernando comped her meal AND brought her a choice of dessert which was equally delicious!! We drove from San Antonio and will definitely come again! You're awesome Fernando!!!!
Yummy Ramen! The decor is perfect for anime lovers. I have visted twice, and both times went well. The only con is the parking. You have to hope someone is leaving to even snag a spot.

Best chicken fried rice ever. And the ramen soups were great. Service was good as was the ambience. Cocktails were tasty

Great place for late-night food. I got the drowning gyoza and the da oxtail. I enjoyed both, it's been a minute since I had some good ramen. Definitely will recommend to my friends anime lovers and non-anime lovers.
After searching for place that opens 24 hrs, I found this place and figured I gave a try. It did not disappoint. The location is easy to find. Parking can be tight during rush hours. The place is spacious, with a bar, and clean, well kept. The staff is friendly, attentive, and helpful. The dish I ordered was tasty, the broth was delicious, not too salty like many places, and the portion was plenty to satisfy. I will visit this place again even though it's a 20+ miles of trip for me.
This place looked so cool. Anime decor and projectors of anime on the back. However, you can hear the anime or anything like that. So, it is there mostly to give you the anime vibes. It’s not small inside it’s actually spacious for a ramen place. It was definitely unique knowing the place is 24/7. I tried a few of their appetizing one being the gyoza (they had chicken or pork, I got chicken). I am hoping to try their ramen next time. Service was decent I did wait awhile to get refills on my water and for the check. I don’t feel like it was a busy night either. I did wait to get seating for 30 mins but I actually think that’s a short wait time for them. I think this place probably always has a wait time. They have seating outside where you can wait and then they text you when there’s a seat.
I came here for my final meal on the evening of my birthday (Dec 7) and wasn't disappointed.. well, somewhat disappointed! As unfortunately I wasn't really greeted at the door, nor was I asked where to go when I came in but found the bar and was unfortunately not provided service untill maybe 5 min after I sat down.. When I was given service, friendly bartender with an amazing anime atmosphere filled with modern and retro anime playing! Great ramen bowl, great food & drinks too. I'll come again.. just wish I had better service.
The service was warm and welcoming, setting a pleasant tone from the moment I arrived. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared and genuinely flavorful, showcasing both quality ingredients and solid culinary technique. Overall, the dining experience was thoroughly enjoyable and well worth a visit.
Shoku Ramen was a great experience! The anime-themed décor was cool and set a fun vibe. Food was fresh and full of flavor. The September special, Rock Lee’s Drunken Ramen, was definitely the standout for both of us—bold and delicious. The drowned gyoza was tasty, though it could have used a bit more “drowning” to match the name. Overall, a unique spot with solid food and atmosphere that makes it worth coming back for more.
The atmosphere was nice for someone who enjoy watching anime - with anime poster and anime characters on the walls. The service was great - our server was very attentive. The food was decent - the drowning gyoza and garlic buttered mushrooms were delicious, the ramen looks very pretty and was filling but the broth was a bit bland to me. The fried rice was also bland to me and there were lots of grease at the bottom of the bowl. I was disappointed that this location no longer has the anime figurines on the plate for the appetizers as seen on TikTok.
The ramen was really good. My grilled chicken was a bit tough, but the tofu was delicious! We also got the dumplings, and was, by far, the tastiest part of the meal. The atmosphere was cute! If you're an anime fan, this is a place for you! I also loved the cassette tape wall ♥️ Parking is limited like all the other restaurants in this area, so I'd recommend going during the week.
This ramen restaurant is the only one I know in Houston that is open 24 hours a day. There is limited parking available out front and some towards the rear. The vibes are very casual with an anime …
So the restaurant states it is 24 hours and says there is a delivery option so we order food after the bar so between 2-3am. It is now 5 am and I am still up waiting on the food. $40 worth of food.…

I had ordered the Surf & Turf Ramen and the Shrimp Tempura tasted like frozen food. I had also tasted my wife’s ramen and both were average taste. The ambiance is decent for us having a very late dinner (about 11pm). There are unlimited of better ramen spots though, especially in H-Town. I believe the overall appeal is that it is open 24/7 making it ideal as a last case resort for ramen, or just food in general for late night eating out with friends. They also do play multiple anime shows at the same time but it’s mixed with loud American music..I had ordered the Surf & Turf Ramen and the Shrimp Tempura tasted like frozen food. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions so here is mine. When you first walk in, it looks just like any ramen shop. Seating was quick but food was alittle slow on delivery. Staff could be alittle bit more attentive since we never got refills on our drinks. The ramen itself i would say is overpriced for what you are getting. The bowl in the picture alone was about $25 which i feel is alittle absurd. The soup base was bland, nothing stands out from it. The curry aged rice was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING. The chicken that came with it actually was soft, crispy, and tender but the rice was one of the saddest rice I have ever tasted. The rice was old and dry as if I was eating little clumps of sand. The chicken and rice was juicy and i enjoyed it the most. If it was just those two items I was reviewing I would have given it a 4 maybe 5 stars for sure. It does seem overhyped in my opinion .Again this is my own opinions and everyone is entitled to their own so let me know if you agree or disagree!
Host was rude and the wait time was long. Did not ask us if we wanted anything to drink. Ordered our appetizer and waited 45 minutes for nothing to come out. Never even got the chance to order …
