Living nearby Slowpokes is a huge reason why my wife and I moved to the apartments we now live in. This coffee shop is one of the best in the city. The vibes are consistently relaxed and friendly, the service is always personable and kind, the coffee is always great. The shop strikes a great balance between aesthetic and cozy hipster interior. Slowpokes is truly the place to be. I have especially appreciated the friendly conversation I’ve gotten to have with several of the baristas especially Glory and Darrian. They work hard and yet make time to chat with anyone. I always feel right at home at Slowpokes.

I stopped in for the first time yesterday. I was able to park right outside the door. The service was quick and polite. The coffee was amazing! The roast was smooth and didn’t have any acid like taste. Highly recommend!

Really nice staff, good location, they validate parking so that's really nice. We really enjoyed the coffee as well, I got a seasonal cold brew and my husband got a pour over and we were both very happy with our choice.

First time here! The nitro cold brew and caramel apple Chai was phenomenal. Breakfast and sandwich options were delicious. Will definitely return. Good vibes!

We were a bit early for a meeting in River Oaks, so we stopped off for a coffee. I LOVE a good cafe and this place is a great cafe. The coffee was superb, and the pastries looked delicious (I couldn't justify a second breakfast on a Monday morning 😉 I am keen to go back and try some "all-day breakfast" items. It is a great location, too, opposite Levy Park. WATCH OUT for the parking restrictions, though!

I've discovered a fantastic spot that caters to different vibes! Whether you're seeking a visually striking ambiance with high ceilings and dramatic lighting for a solo coffee break, or a charming outdoor area perfect for catching up with friends, this place seems to have it all. And the coffee is delicious to boot! The only caveat is the parking situation, so be prepared to factor that in when you visit.

Such a cute spot! Great customer service and atmosphere 🥰🫶🏼✨ I ordered the Lavendar Latte ☕️ And that was delicious. Diego and Emi had the best customer service and vibe. They were so upbeat and positive. I’d definitely come back just because they were so welcoming and friendly.✨ They even have wine 🍷 if that’s what you’re in the mood for. The atmosphere was chill. You can be inside in the AC or outside under the umbrellas. WiFi is available. Def a place where you can get work done 💻 Parking available in the parking lot. 🅿️ $5 parking but Slowpokes validate it 🙌🏽 Again another plus for customer service and thinking about how to care for the customers needs. ❌Don’t park on the street because you will get towed. Those spots are for Levy Park visitors. Overall, this was a great experience, Levy park is near by, and I’ll be back. 😊🙌🏽

I recently visited a coffee ☕️ shop that had me buzzing with excitement. The atmosphere was so cozy, I felt like I was being hugged by a warm latte. The barista was as sweet as the caramel drizzle 🌧️ on my drink, and the coffee was so good it should be illegal. If you're looking for a spot to perk up your day, this place is a latte fun. Came for lunch and coffee absolutely every one agree that the location and the seating are great plus the service i tried slowpoke salad was good but the coffee wasnt good at all maybe the iced sweet coffee are good but mine i ordered flat white was sour i didnt like it at all , Maybe i come again only for food which is not bad.

One of my favorite coffee shops with some quirks Drinks: the coffee here is fantastic and the food is pretty darn good. Service: staff are fantastic and super chill. Arturo is a great barista. Atmosphere: the interior is lovely and one of my favorites among Houston coffee shops. Theres plenty of natural light from the giant windows, bar-style seating by a pretty bookshelf / cabinet, a variety of seating along various tables from 2 person to massive 8+ seaters. When it’s nice outside, the double doors are often open and let in plenty of fresh air. The downsides are most of the seating surfaces are hard and therefore uncomfortable to seat for prolonged periods. Downsides: there’s only paid parking. The shop validates for a couple hours but the parking garage has malfunctioned on me several times. There’s free WiFi but only for a couple hours per purchase.

The location was nice. The service was nice and all the employees were pleasant. They have indoor and outdoor seating which are spacious. This would be a nice place to hang out with friends or to get some work done. I’m only giving this place 3 stars because neither of us enjoyed our drinks. My matcha latte wasn’t the best and the orange cream sickle drinks my husband order was bland. We did order the hummus plate which was good but I mean a hummus plate really isn’t anything that requires much work. I would comeback for the atmosphere but definitely not the drinks I spent $30 total and regretted it after due to the drinks.

Slowpokes is nice. It’s quiet with a good mix of food, drinks and coffee. The bar is well stocked. The wifi is steady. There is great indoor and outdoor seating and near Levy Park, if you want to grab your coffee and go on a walk, play with your kids, etc. I got a vanilla almond milk latte and a matcha oat milk latte and wasn’t blown away by either, but the customer service was quite solid and it was quick and easy on a day that I wanted to be outside with a warm beverage. I’ll give it another try and see if I like their signature drinks better. I love it’s placement next to the park though and having 30 min of free parking in the garage or free street parking. This is the perfect place though for a cute but casual quick coffee date or after work drink.

Way too expensive. Matcha taste tasteless. $12 for a cup is extreme. Not to mention you have to give tips. $12 could have gone to grocery money. Comparison, Kohiko in Sugarland cost $8. Starbucks cost $6. I’ll only buy $5 worth of things here just to validate the $5 parking.

Coffee was fine, very unfriendly staff- was greeted with an “oh god” upon walking up to the counter and treated very coldly by the attending staff- drove over 30 min to have some coffee and relax ended up disappointed. Its worse when you see they treat the next customer differently. Will not be coming again

I ordered a matcha latte, but it just tasted like milk with almost no matcha flavor. I asked the staff to remake it, but the employee was very rude the drink was filled to the top, spilled over, and they didn’t even bother to wipe it or properly close the lid. The second one still tasted bad, so I ended up throwing both away. This was my first visit to this location, but I’m really disappointed with how poorly this Slowpokes branch is managed.
