OK, all we had was the soft-serve ice cream, but it was unbelievable. And we're from Vermont, so we are total soft-serve snobs (although we call them creemees). Great flavor and texture, and not too sweet. Perfect treat.

Happened upon this gem over the weekend while walking our pup. Fantastic soft serve ice cream and toppings, super-friendly proprietors, great vibe. Will return next time for more from their creative menu!

Stumbled upon this place for a snack - the Vietnamese hot dog was absolutely incredible. Would highly highly recommend along with the cucumber agua Fresca. The staff was so kind and it was a great experience!

A very nice spot to have a light meal, drinks and even dessert on a quiet street with a nice patio. Visiting with old friends we found it more relaxing than other places open that evening on the main street. I'd stop again.

Oh my gosh strawberry rhubarb vanilla soft serve waffle cookie heaven god help meeeee!!!!! Please visit this lovely spot and have the best soft serve ice cream and strawberry rhubarb you will ever have.

Great vibe, nice grafted drinks

Had the pine cocktail and it was absolutely delicious, accurately described on the menu. Service was warm and welcoming, ambiance and seating were comfortable and just felt like a place you could spend hours drinking with a date or friends. I didn't try the food yet.

Buttercup recently catered and provided the bar for our wedding right outside of Hudson and we could not be happier. The food and drinks are AMAZING and the staff is incredibly lovely. Our wedding was very DIY and Buttercup's owner, Kat, really went above and beyond to help us make everything perfect. People are still talking about the food and drinks weeks later. We highly recommend Buttercup! Do not miss it if you're in Hudson.

Went there last Saturday. Loved it, great vibe, drinks, service, music. Best locals bar in town. Go early, gets busy, great outdoors set up. Cool owner! Will be back next time we’re in Hudson. Must add that this place fully deserves 5 stars. I also have a business that has worked hard for its 5 stars, but occasionally you get a bummer, usually for something out of your control. There is a petty needless 1 star here, from someone who appears should have known better. It takes a while to get your 5 stars back, so back Kat and keep your ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ coming!

This little outdoor spot offers cool cocktails, fun variations of hot dogs (the Vietnamese dog is my fave), rotating specials, and usually has good lobster rolls (they tend to sell out quickly). Save room for soft serve bc it is the BEST soft serve in Hudson! No hard ice cream, but there are other places nearby for that (check out Culture Cream for a different ice cream experience). I love Buttercup for a quick, easy, and satisfying meal with a cute outdoor vibe!

VIBES, best place in Hudson. Recently opened and the owner Kat is a lovely doll. Pajama party on new years day, need I say more? I will keep it brief, super welcoming and attentive staff, amazing drink selection, cozy with great music. When I come back to Hudson, it will be a staple / go to without a doubt. We were even warned our dishes might be a little late due to the kitchen accommodating an allergy request! BIG kudos on both fronts for that level of service. Will definitely return!

Kat & team helped us plan a lovely evening and made delicious custom cocktails for our guests (on top of an overall incredible bar package!). Everyone was raving about how nice the space and snacks were, and how friendly all the staff are. They also kindly let us use an amp for toasts and were accommodating for early drop off for welcome bags. Thank you all so much!

Very friendly and warm atmosphere. Every cocktail was exceptionally good - we had to order a second round to try others. However, the food is largely a miss. Duck rillette was pre-frozen, and the $24 canned trout was very disappointing. Crab and artichoke dip was ok. Would definitely go back for a drink!

good dogs, nice servers, sunny day

extremely interesting alternative to the noisy trying too hard bar at Maker. inventive cocktails served with sincerity by cool people in a relaxed setting. we just had drinks (Expresso martini is a lovely dive under a velvet rope) on our way to HFS but bar menu looked very fun.

Long wait for decent food. But it didn’t make my socks go up and down. Limited vegetarian options and salad was almost all red cabbage. I think meat eaters will enjoy it more since it is mostly hot dogs.

Met our needs for lunch. Expensive for what you got! Market price for lobster roll, $32!!!!!!! Did not order the roll, had 2 crab cakes and seasonal salad. Will not be rushing back

Read a lot of reviews of this place in Hudson and we were desperate for ice cream. This looked like ice cream nirvana. We walked there, as the Google site said it was open but guess what? Closed. If you are going to use Google to attract business have the courtesy to say you are closed when you are closed. I'll never go back. Side note: If you are looking for a business to open look no further than opening an ice cream shop in the summer on the main drag: there isn't even one there. In the winter you can convert to coffee. You'd make a mint.

Just went in due to seeing this sign on the street, only to be informed that the happy hour on Friday is from 7-9? One bartender seemed to think it was still 3-5 but the other said no. Either way, false advertising and disappointing.
