Excellent service in the Hudson area great food atmosphere place clean and neat. Highly recommended if you come on the weekends into the Hudson.
Best Mexican cuisine I have ever eaten! Would definitely give it a try !!!! 10/10
Food is delicious and homemade the salsa is spicy and great
Outstanding gourmet Mexican dishes. Fresh ingredients, good portion sizes. Absolutely delicious. Thank you, La Mision!
Delicious fajitas (a mix of mushrooms and tofu). Nice atmosphere too. Highly recommended.
Best service ever, drinks are food are all really good. I personally recommend the margaritas and the eggplant lasagna. You can tell they effort they put in this homemade delicious food c:
I happened to find this restaurant by chance.I was visiting Hudson with a friend and we were looking for a place for lunch. Luckily we found ourselves at the door of La Mision. It turned out to be a great find. The food was superior to any Mexican food I’ve eaten in this area . The atmosphere and staff were excellent also.If you are close by defiantly try this restaurant.
The food was fresh and tasty! My wife is a fish taco critique and she said the ones she had were some of the best she’s ever had. Would highly recommend!
Best Mexican food I’ve had in the state of New York. Hands down. The chicken is amazing — especially the chicken taquito. I cannot stress how good this food is. Make sure you try something with chicken in it. You will not be disappointed.
Fantastic food in a cozy atmosphere. The background music and decor are amazing and the staff dedicated and hard working!
Haven’t had such fantastic mexican food around here! Delicious food, great service, fun colorful atmosphere.
Delicious food ! One of the best fish tacos we have had. Yum. Definitely will return when we are in the area again. Highly recommend
Great food and service from Allysa. She’s one of the best servers we’ve ever had! Personable, attentive and very gracious. She made our time at your restaurant a wonderful experience. She’s a keeper!
There food is excellent. The service is great and the employees are so nice. Highly recommend!!!
Sweet waitress. V small seating area but they were seeming to do big take out business. Food was good and many vegetarian options. Large portions! Overall great find!
The fusion of Mexican cuisine with one owner's culinary experience from Puebla & the other's from Central America make La Misión MORE than a "Mexican" restaurant, rather a unique Latin Fusion one. Margaritas with hand prepared purees are hard to beat anywhere in the Hudson Valley.
Great food, and the loveliest people! For my fellow vegetarians, try the Tofu Veracruz Burrito 👌🏻
Delicious and fun. Went there when we came up for an overnight at The Wick. Emma and her colleagues were terrific and the food was yummy. We will return!
Food was delicious, nice atmosphere! Will be visiting again!
Friendly service and delicious food. There are a lot of vegetarian options! What’s better than a perfect, not-too-sweet margarita at the end of a long day? We’ll definitely be back.
Delicious margaritas! I ordered the fish tacos and my husband ordered the enchiladas. Both were absolutely perfect. We ate outside so it felt very safe. We will go back again before leaving town.
The traveller's dream! Go into a new town, cruise restaurant row, and find a terrific place. La Mision's mission is to serve wonderful food. Many can make a sort of Mexican cuisine, but this little restaurant excels. Nice staff too. I don't live near Hudson NY, but I will come here again. Make sure you ingest some of their beans; you'll develop a new respect for legumes.
This place might have the best mole sauce I've ever had. The enchiladas are amazing. There are lots of excellent Mexican restaurants in Columbia County and this one is a standout.
I'm from Austin, Texas and this place rocks. Their michelada was delicious and they have great veggie options - the portobello burrito with plantains and the fish tacos were unexpectedly fantastic. Their salsas are good too - you know when they give you fried chips with a good homemade salsa roja you're in for a solid meal.
Best Mexican food in capital district. Lorenzo and staff go out of their way to ensure you are satisfied. Definitely worth a trip to experience for yourself
Took a ride to Hudson NY over Memorial day weekend and Googled Mexican restaurants..I am so happy I chose this spot..Food was plentiful and delicious and the service was professional and friendly.. I recommend this spot for great cocktails and really good food. Enjoy!!!
What a good meal. Had the burrito bowl with pork. Outstanding. The tortilla soup was very good as well.
La Mision is my absolute favorite place to eat in Hudson! The food is authentic and so plentiful and delicious!!! The staff and chef are talented and welcoming. The portions are generous and the menu has something for everyone. Super delicious!!!!!
It was a very rainy day, and we were trying to get out of the rain. We stopped in here even though we just ate. We had the churros and the plantains, Both were excellent. We also ordered Paloma's and they were exceptional!!!
Went here for girls night a few weeks back and the food was amazing. The salsa and guacamole was delicious. I got fish tacos and the fish was fried perfectly and the toppings were fresh. Everyone else said there meal was awesome. Servers were very friendly and fast with taking our order and getting our drinks to us when needed. We will be back again for another girls night.
We had a really good lunch here - the ingredients were extremely fresh and very tasty, the pretty plate presentations were done with great care, and the service was very attentive. I'm not sure if I'm spelling the server's name correctly but I think it's Florencio. Very friendly and he cared that we had a good experience. The flan for dessert was incredibly creamy. That texture might not be strictly traditional but it was delicious.
The food here is incredible! Can’t really comment on the service because we stopped in outside of meal hours (3:15pm) and they seated and waited on us promptly. Best nachos of my life so far!
There are so many places to get Mexican food these days but La Mision is the best I’ve had so far. I had steak fajitas which had a nice grill flavor. My wife and daughter both had a massive burrito bowl and finished every last spec it was so good.
Amazing food, DELICIOUS! I can see why they were so busy on a Wednesday at 4 pm. They have only been open for 3 months but this place is popular! The staff are super friendly and the margaritas are great! We ordered the steak and chicken tacos, the steak was my favorite. They use authentic and fresh ingredients! We ate outside at one of their tables on the sidewalk, too. It was worth the wait!
Delicious food. Period. Wasn’t in the mood for Mexican food but it was near hotel and we just said ,’ ok why not?’ So glad we did - good music inside, sweet server, purchased some salsa to take home - so good.
Visiting for the annual winter walk and first time at La Mission. It will not be our last ! Food was delicious, reasonably priced and my kids enjoyed every bite not from the kids menu (which they also have) portions are just right and staff is kind and attentive. Looking forward to coming back next year !
Very good, unfussy reasonably priced Mexican food. Very tasty and well prepared. We really enjoyed it.
Great food and service! Highly recommended. Kids loved the burritos and desserts. We had birria tacos, bowls, salads and fajitas- all of which was delicious l
I had an amazing dining experience at this place which was recommended by a local. The food was absolutely delicious, packed with flavors and freshness. The staff was friendly, attentive and provided quick service. I ordered a beef burrito that was served with rice and beans as the side dish, and also tried their guacamole which was exceptional. Also, I had a complimentary chips and salsa. The dining hall was clean and beautifully decorated, and the restroom was even better. I highly recommend this place and will definitely visit again when I'm back in Hudson.
Delicious!!! I got the chicken enchiladas with roja sauce (they have 4 options to choose from) and oh my - quite possibly the best I have ever had! And the chips, salsa, and guacamole you could taste the homemade. The owner was so kind and you can tell has put his heart and soul into this place and the food! We were visiting from out of town and will be dreaming of this meal…..
The staff was very friendly and always had a smile on their faces. The space is small but very clean and very cute. The food was delicious and came out very fast. I got the steak fajitas and my girlfriend got the fish tacos. We both agreed that it was the best we have had in a while. Do yourself a favor and go to this wonderful little gem. GREAT JOB!
This was probably the 3rd or 4th time that I have eaten here and it is always a great and satisfying meal. This time I tried to eat light so I ordered tacos with beef and a salad with shrimp. The meat in the tacos was perfectly seasoned and the shrimp salad was excellent. I sat inside by the window. They were very busy with customers both inside and out but the waiter and waitress were hustling and seemed to be taking care of everyone. I always enjoy myself here because the food is consistently gratifying. Again, I highly recommend La Mision.
Delicious food and nice outdoor dining spot. I got the shrimp tacos and my boyfriend got the enchiladas. The pineapple & strawberry margs were tasty, and the service was generous (they brought back several servings of free chips & salsa, and the salsa was so addicting!) We will definitely return the next time we are in town!
Surprisingly bomb Mexican food in the heart of Hudson, NY. Restaurant was short-staffed so waited longer than we needed to for food and drinks but could’ve been the holidays / Covid and the one waiter made a valiant effort to take care of tables and takeout orders.
Very good food and very good service. Nachos are some of the better ones I've had. Tacos very good. Plantains were a bit greasy.
Cute little place with great dishes, but a weak offering of drinks compared to how the bar looks. Overall great experience
La Mision has some great Mexican food offering several authentic dishes. The food is always fresh and very tasty. The only thing I will say which is my personal opinion is they are a little pricey but being on Warren Street that goes without saying. Having said that it makes for a great once in awhile or even once a week dinner. And one final note I will say check your order before walking out the door.
The food was good, wouldn’t call it authentic Mexican since I did get tofu tacos lol, but I do appreciate the vegetarian options. Everyone I was with enjoyed their meals, especially the plantains as a starter. The pupusa was also a nice portion, but be mindful that if you add protein, it’ll cost more.
What an enjoyable dinner spot. We sat streetside and enjoyed drinks (margarita & mojito- which were really refreshing.) Our dinner selections were also good. The guacamole was some of the tastiest, and if they bottled their salsa I would buy it in a heartbeat; smoky and delicious!
Food was incredibly good.we were a party of 6 and every single dish was delicious we ordered portobello quesadilla, portobello burrito, shrimp quesadilla, beef burrito, guacamole/chips,maduros with mole were very good and for drinks.mojitos, margarita Now about service vey disappointed our waitress a Spanish lady very uncaring and very serious looking We all appreciate that restaurants are opening and its nice to be going out with precautions and people working during this terrible time is greatly appreciated [health care worker myself working nonstop through this] we had to get up ourselves to get our own silverware then again for napkins she messed up 1 order she was just very unatentive but meanwhile we did see her smiling at other tables last straw after asking her for water several times my son went inside to ask the bartender..the bartender was amazing friendly he apologized and brought us glasses of water himself[we were sitting outdoors with no water waiting long time for food and drinks thank to the bartender I asked his name but so sorry I forgot it was a Sunday around 4.when we got our bill we realized why this waitress was so uncaring gratuity was automatically deducted ..we have no problem with that but we should at least be served with kindness and be courteous to say the least..I'm a huge supporter of local businesses and there is plenty of great places were to choose from.for me to have great food, great service is the key to success they go hand in hand.thank you to the bartender and thank you to the cooks for the delicious cocktails and the amazing dishes that were very good in taste and presentation
The food was very very good (although it was a very salty). The margaritas were EXCELLENT! The staff was very fast and friendly. Excellent service. I am still afraid of indoor dining so we sat outside but the interior looked very clean. Free refills on chips and salsa. Would have given 5 stars but food was a little too salty. Will definitely go back.
In terms of food, everything we've tried here is excellent. The tacos are my favorite, and my wife like the tortilla soup. We both also really like the pork pupusas. All of these dishes are thoughtfully prepared with lots of authentic and tasty ingredients. The prices are a bit high -- but this location is right at the end of a high tourist-traffic block on Warren, so that is to be expected. The drinks are just so-so -- although La Mision has a full bar, the cocktails are fairly pedestrian and aren't nearly as interesting as the food. Service is solid and friendly, and since it's a small space it's easy to get the attention of the servers if we need anything. One caveat: special instructions may get lost along the way, but that won't stop us from coming here as often as we are in Hudson. Oh...and don't forget to try the flaun! :-)
As a long-time resident of Queens and recent transplant to the Hudson Valley, I’ve had a lot of good Mexican food, which is hard to find up here. The food here was great, all around. Everything was seasoned well, done the right way, and tasted fresh. It didn’t taste like a hipster restaurant in an expensive hamlet trying to be authentic. The only thing not good about our experience was the service. Particularly, just our server. Seemed like everyone else was great. He took 30 minutes to come to our table, didn’t seem to remember we hadn’t gotten menus yet, never brought us water or chips and salsa, and only came over when we waved our hands. I’m glad we stuck around, one more minute without being greeted and we would have left. The food is worth it, and hopefully you’ll get a more attentive server.
A cute and colorful Mexican joint with good service! We had a light lunch here one day during our visit in Hudson. We sat at an outdoor table since we had our fur baby with us. The guacamole with chip was good and we also enjoyed the tacos. Both steak and shrimp tacos were delicious. Not to mention the complimentary chip & salsa was really good as well.
Made our way over here when it first opened on a Saturday afternoon for an early lunch. Seating both indoor and outdoors, but no canopy to protect from the sun, so decided to take a table inside. Like many of the other restaurants in the area, the menu is more expensive than you would like. Nonetheless, we did get some free chips/salsa to start while we were deciding on food. Settled on the Beef Enchiladas ($16) to go along with a Pineapple Margarita ($14). Drink comes out first - a pulpy pineapple juice with a strong amount of tequila mixed in; definitely hit the spot while munching on the chips. Enchiladas come out within 15 minutes - two well stuffed rolls covered in a tangy tomatillo sauce, salsa, and sour cream. Meat is a little greasy, cut well by the tomatillo sauce and sour cream. Tortillas were not stale and not too much cheese inside that it overwhelms. Well balanced overall, would want to pick the rioja sauce next time for a better kick. Great service as the one waitress working the place was able to get to everyone without missing a beat. Worth the visit here if looking for a Mexican option on the street.
Service was good and friendly. The food was average. My wife and I probably won't visit again; our favorite Mexican restaurant in Hudson, My, Mexican Radio, closed in the midst of the pandemic and unfortunately this restaurant is not nearly the equal of it.
Great outdoor seating! Service is ok. Food and drinks are a bit pricey for the taste/ambience. But did I mention, the outdoor seating and ample parking?!
Great food. No complains on food. Service was abrupt and inattentive. Would have ordered another round of margaritas but server never check in and ignored our empty glasses. Server dropped of bill and never came back to table to collect. Had to carry my check inside to be cashed out. Overheard staff complaining about customers, which continued while I stood there with check in hand, waiting. Caught in heavy rain walking back to car, which I blame on inattentive service.
Big portions. Lots of veggie options. Food was good but not great. Nothing to write home about. Portobello burrito was a little too heavy on the portobello. It came smothered which was great - would've been too dry otherwise. Chips and salsa were solid.
Once the server knew we weren't going to order alcohol with lunch she sat at the bar playing with her phone and couldn't be arsed to check on us. Food's great though!
I was on my way from Albany and diverted to this town Hudson and in my search for a good Mexican restaurant. This was one of the most expensive Mexican restaurants that I have ever visited. A simple plate of rice and beans and steak for $30. That was expensive and I'm not sure it is because of the town. The restaurant was extremely mediocre the food mediocre the steak excellent the beans okay. So overall a mediocre experience in an overtly expensive restaurant. Having said that, I did enjoy the lunch regardless as I was hungry.
We had lunch there a few weeks ago. The setting is nice. The food (we had tacos) tasted bad, especially considering the price. I don't understand the other reviews praising the food.
The waitress (owner?) is a mental case - running around and shouting at people. They are also very chintzy with the nacho chips. Which is a shame because the chips are awesome, as is the guacamole. The rest is adequate Mexican food for this quiet town.
Service is awful. I’ve given this location three try’s now and it’s been a miss every time. Your left unattended for periods of time. I was served food with no napkins nor utensils, food runners were unsure of where food was going and brought my food to the wrong table. Pico de Gallo is a much more well rounded establishment with a more customer service oriented mindset. Warren St. has higher standards than this operation.
Possibly some of the worst tacos I’ve ever had.
I hope I’m not offending anyone but I don’t know how else to say this so here it goes, it took 25 minutes to get our drinks (Virgin Pina Colada and bottled beer) the food was great but they forgot my daughters meal. Our waitress did not speak any English and had to use her phone yet still forgot my daughters dinner. It was just my daughters and myself. $56 for 1 beer, 1 drink , 1 appetizer and 1 order of beef Enchilada. The other server apologized.
Had lunch today at La Mision and was greeted by a women wearing sunglasses who's nasty greeting was "You can't have that drink in here"...No hello or welcome to La Mision....I did have a plastic almost empty cup of water in my hand as it was in the high 90's outside today. So I asked to her to throw it away for me, but what I was about to say...Is that how you greet people to your establishment...REALLY...and walk out of there. We did stay and the food was good and our waiter was nice and attentive. I was with a friend who asked for the password for the internet for which the waiter was unable to provide to us even though it shows they have internet connection. We also were thinking about ordering drinks but we did not want to bother the bar girl wearing her sunglasses inside as she seemed busy sitting at the bar doing nothing ! We will NEVER return to La Mision and will not recommend this place to anyone as it seems some of the workers there think being unprofessional and rude is something the patrons must endure.
In the past, my coworkers and I have ordered large orders from this establishment with no complaints. However, our order yesterday was a wreck. Firstly, our special instructions were ignored (no onions, no sauce ect...), and we were charged for an additional order of taquitos that we never ordered. We were refunded for a couple orders of Tres leches cake that they didn't have in stock (which is understandable) but were refused even a partial refund or remake for the food that was incorrect. We didn't even receive an apology. They also refused to refund us for the additional taquitos that we didn't order but were charged for. The waitress' response was that her involvement with our order was only to give us the bag from the kitchen, and that she couldn't help us because she did not have the ordered food in front of her. Despite us ordering online and quite literally spelling out how we wanted the food prepared, the staff couldn't be bothered to expedite our order appropriately. Which means they either expected us to unpack $100+ worth of food and have them remake it before taking it back to our office, or pack everything back up, drive back across town, and keep an office of people on a 12 hour shift waiting for an easily avoidable mistake to be corrected. The fact that we ordered over $100 worth of food to have every dish but one incorrect, and then be told that it wasn't the job of the restaurant to check over our order will ensure we won't be ordering from there again.
This place wants to be upscale dining based on its inflated prices and lack of complimentary chips, yet when they cater to takeout over in person patrons making an order of mid tacos somehow take 45 minutes the illusion is ruined. And they don't even give you chip!
Out of guac but full of attitude. Yup, on a lazy Tuesday evening in Hudson, NY, the only Mexican place that was open was out of guac. I can understand that if they had a huge number of orders for it, but we were told that the restaurant didn't order any avocados that day. They did order an extra helping of rudeness, however. When my girlfriend attempted to order guac and chips at the counter after waiting for over 20 minutes at an outside table around the corner from the front door, where we were totally ignored, or not even noticed to begin with, she was told in no uncertain terms that she shouldn't try and get her order in before the other tables inside! We walked less than a block to Wunderbar, where we were treated with excellent service with a smile. Our to go order was ready in 3 minutes, and the quality of the food matched the great attitude of the staff.
Never got any extra plates wuth our Nachos. Very messy. Did not get any of our sides with the meal. Never was asked if we wanted anything else or a refill on drinks. Probably would nit recommend this place. The food what we had was fair.
I wrote this place an amazing review 5 months ago but I have to edit it after two very disappointed visits we had past year. The food is still great but the waitress is rude.
I've ordered Take Out from this establishment and really enjoyed it but today was my first and DEFINITELY LAST time dining in. The service was terrible (the woman who came out at one point was downright rude). They forgot part of our order, the margaritas were watery and absolutely not worth $12, and they had no kid-friendly beverage options (I had to run to CVS to get a drink for my two year old who would have surely smashed the glass of water they provided). So disappointed.
Shrimp tacos too spicy...as for their pina coladas they only add a "pineapple puree" according to mgr. today but you can not taste the pineapple AT ALL...tasted like coconut puree with rum & ice...that's it....that is NOT how a "Pina Colada" should taste like!! Wonderful waitress Jocelyn....Will NOT be returning to this restaurant!
I drive an hour to get nachos from this place. I paid $16 for nachos and $16 for 4 bags of chips. 8 days later my card was charged almost $42. When I called and spoke to management she verified the $32 charge and when I said I get the beans on the side,i I was charged additional for beans that already come on thr nachos (I always get the nachos this way and have never had this issue). She said the was price correct and it's not making any sense for items I usually pay about $18 for. Unfortunately, I won't be stepping in this establishment again.
Food was very salty and not that great tasting, would've been better making the food myself or going to Taco Bell, and that'd have saved a few bucks. Won't try it again. Put less salt in the food, make sure someone with good taste is sampling things making sure it's good and at least until it's worth it, lower the price of the food. Been happier with a Swanson TV dinner.
The food is not bad but not the best but this rating is mostly based on the overall service. If you are running a business learn how to welcome your customers!!!! I had a cup of coffee and instead of addressing it kindly , I was told I’m not sure what you can have in that cup and it defeats the purpose of them selling coffee but it’s a Mexican restaurant not a coffee shop. Based on my experience first and last visit.
Where do I begin, the water they brought us to drink was dirty the table we were where we were seated was in front of a door with a large crack in it and blue ice cold air on my back the entire time I was there. They were blaring Spanish rap music on the radio, the burnt our appetizer, it took forever to get our main course and when we got it , it was awful and it was a fairly expensive place to eat. I recommend going to supermarket and getting a bag of microwave burritos and taking them home and save yourself $60
The service was horrific. Never have I been to a restaurant and been told by a server that she is ‘done with our table” loud enough for other tables to hear and snicker. When our order arrived all I did is ask for add-on tortillas for the fajitas. The server made it obvious that is a big inconvenience. 15-20 minutes later the tortillas still had not come so I went to ask. Two servers were downright rude and when I asked why they are being rude she shouted across the restaurant. Even after that, they continued to ‘gossip’ with the other customers. I was there with my kids and 80 year old parents and can’t believe the unprofessionalism of the servers. Not sure if ithey are just used to white clientele but it was absolutely obnoxious and inexcusable behavior in 2021.
