Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Excellent beer on tap and great cocktails. The sandwichs and soup were amazing.
This is a nice place to eat and have drinks. Reasonable priced, excellent waitstaff. We had to wait to get in but it was worth the wait.
Awesome place to go and eat or just hang out with friends around the bar. Food is very good and the staff is the best!
Great food great service. The coleslaw brought out the kid in me haven't been that excited about food those fish tacos are perfect.
This is just what Hudson needed! Wonderfully prepared food with just enough variety to please. Professional, friendly and efficient staff made for a most enjoyable experience. Definetly our new "go to" place!!
Locally owned, fantastic staff, fun bar atmosphere and great casual dining with enjoyable food. Recommend to locals and people here on vacation. I’ll be back!
The food is great, and they’re always changing their menu. That coupled with their amazing staff and service, it’s always great coming here!
Great Restaurant and wonderful service. Sara on Bar and a server is wonderful. Stephanie, the owner is great 👍. Please support this great family owned business
Great food and drinks! Had the fish tacos and spicy margarita. Both were fantastic! Excellent service and staff.
Great food! My favorites are the pepperoni subs and their filet mignon!!! Full of flavor' melts in your mouth and expertly prepared! Staff are attentive and friendly, nice atmosphere inside and outside seating. You won't be disappointed!
What an enjoyable way to get the weekend started! We all brought appetites and dined on the bacon, spinach and artichoke dip first with our drinks. Dinners were filling and delicious. Chicken Parmesan, Cobb salad and Caesar salad filled us up with no room for desert. A definite return soon, atmosphere very cheery!
Customers and staff were smart, good looking and all were friendly! Turkey Club was on the money! Fresh and " Garden Tomato ".
We had a great experience here. The did was delicious and nice and hot just how e like it. The server was great as was the gentleman that seemed to be running the show. Highly recommend!!
A beautiful restaurant with delicious food, nicely varied menu and an excellent and attentive staff! The Spinach Artichoke Dip with homemade chips is awesome! A great dining and social experience!
One of my favorite spots in Hudson. Staff is on point and extremely welcoming. Steph at the bar is especially attentive. The bar is clean and tidy with great beer selection, food is great.
While exploring Warren Street we discovered this gem. We were greeted with warm and friendly smiles. The pumpkin ravioli and pork tenderloin were delicious, with just the right amount of garlic on the fries.
10 out 10 would recommend. By far my favorite place in Hudson since I moved here. The staff are wonderful, the food is great and the prices are reasonable. Not easy to check all those boxes on Warren.
Whether you are looking to catch the game at the bar or have dinner with your family in the dining room this is the place to go! The food is great for a great price and the staff is even better. Five stars does not do this place justice.
This restaurant is excellent best food. I've had on Warren street in years. Nicest people! you can't go wrong!
Stopped in a whim and was pleasantly surprised. Food was awesome and the service was tentative and personable. Definitely going back for lunch next time in the area.
Great atmosphere and beers. Staff is top notch and the food isn’t pricy at all. I highly recommend if you want to stay local and have a great time.
Great local joint. Run by the third generation of the Moxie family. Long time restaurateurs in Hudson. Great food and service at a good price.
Loved this restaurant and bar. We came to Hudson from Australia and visited this restaurant as soon as we got off the train from New York. Great food, really friendly service and the design of the place is great. Really recommend it!
Excellent drinks, food, environment, and above all else the staff. Everyone's great and will take care of you. Come here with time on your hands so you have time to eat and drink more than you should!
This place was really nice. Very good pesto grilled cheese and of course the fish and chips was bomb.
We went there at peak hour and the staff managed to get us a seat and provide us with an excellent service. The Pierogi were amazing and the burgers were excellent as well
Nice vibe, friendly staff, great food! Moxie's Chicken Parm was DEE-LISH! Mushroom Gnocchi was to die for! Woodsy sensory overload ! YUM. Definately on my favorites list!
Wonderful meal. We had fish and chips and fish tacos. All perfectly cooked and delicious! Service was great as were our cocktails! Lovely back patio!
After meandering down Warren Street we stumbled upon 225 Warren and I’m so glad we did. We were immediately greeted by a friendly host then taken to a table in the main dining area. Service was quick and polite. We had a burger and fish & chips which were both excellent! I also had a Bloody Mary which was incredible especially if you love horseradish! I highly recommend 225 Warren for their hospitality and delicious food!
A huge shout out to 225 Warren Bar & Grill for catering our Christmas party! The food was ready on time, and all our guests raved about how delicious everything was. Thank you to Ant Marchionne, Brenda Marchionne, and their kitchen staff for helping make our event successful!🎄🎉🥳
I have lived in Columbia County for over 45 years , I ordered Take Out from a Gift Certificate tonight. It truly was the best Food I’ve had ! The selection of Appetizers is amazing and The Buffalo Chicken Dip , Calamari, and Fish Tacos were fantastic! The Tenderloin was perfect! The Menu is wonderful! You can order all online !Portions are Large , perfectly cooked Food! Reasonably Priced and delicious! As a trained Chef Myself , I’ll be back ! Cozy and perfect in every way ! Stroll down Warren Street to walk off Your delicious meal!
The last two meals I have had there recently have been excellent. One a pasta/seafood dish and one of lamb chops. Great food and the price is the most reasonable you will find.
Went for an anniversary dinner with my husband and 2 friends it was our 10th. Staff was very friendly. Drinks were great (loved the pomegranate margaritas. Food was excellent and so were the desserts. Loved hearing the nostalgia of the place from my husband. I would go back.
Top shelf food and drinks at very reasonable prices! Every town should have a neighborhood friendly place like 225 Warren.
Fish taco appetizers are very tasty and filling. Makes for a great meal for 1 person if you choose not to share. So many great things on the menu, I can see myself coming back to try it all. Loved this place, but want to try it all! I will be back next time I'm in town.
Crab cakes app and grilled shrimp on salad were excellent. Good cocktails.
First time checking out this town chose to come here. Best decision. I got the wings and the fried chicken sandwich and it couldn't be better. Definitely coming back and highly recommended!
Amazing food and dog friendly!! We were up at North South Lake camping and wanted to go out for breakfast. We search and search and couldn't find a place that was dog friendly. Ended up driving 40 mins and let me tell it IT WAS WORTH THE DRIVE!! We sat out in beautiful patio seating, our waiter gave my dogs a bowl for water, service was great, drinks were amazing, and the food was out of this world!! 10/10 recommend, I definitely would drive the 40 minutes again for this place!
We shared a friend calamari appetizer and two different chicken sandwiches, all I can say is I wish we lived closer to get it more often! Food was amazing, staff was very friendly, restaurant was packed. We can't wait to visit again to go back!
A quaint, friendly bar and restaurant. I loved the art hung throughout the restaurant. We came, seven of us, for lunch. And we're pleasantly delighted with our food and drinks........mine being a pomegranate margarita.....it was my birthday. Fish tacos and friends. What a perfect gathering. I'm so glad we found this ace and took the chance. We'll be back, for sure. 🍷
Really enjoyed Sunday Brunch here. Turkey Club was awesome and so large I only ate half and saved the rest for much later! Fantastic thick bread and flavorful roasted turkey made this stop memorable.
Had a wonderful lunch on this rainy day. Enjoyed the Fish & Chips and the Lemon Bars for dessert were amazing! Comfortable warm atmosphere, friendly attentive staff. Looking forward to returning with more friends.
We arrived in town for a wedding and came here for lunch…and then came back for dinner because it was so good. We sat at the bar and had the Turkey Club and Greek Salad at lunch, plus a perfectly balanced dirty martini. You’d think the club and salad are simple items, but these were both so incredibly tasty. When we came back for dinner and saw the same wonderful bartender, we sat at the bar again. We had Mac and cheese bites, calamari, and the incredible chicken parm. I appreciated their fried apps were light and crispy. The chicken parm was everything I hoped it would be. We will probably go back again this weekend for a third round. That’s how good it was. Update: I ate here 4x in one weekend bc it kept being everything I wanted.
This restaurant deserves 10 stars if you ask me! I had dinner with a good old friend here tonight who had recently broken his foot. When he saw the steps leading up to the restaurant he wasn't sure he could actually make it inside. But the friendly manager, who greeted us at the door, immediately offered his assistance, and we were situated at a nice table (with an expedited xtra chair to rest my friends broken foot) in no time. The restaurant is spacious, with a warm and inviting atmosphere.Tables are placed far apart, which makes for the perfect indoor social distancing dining experience during these difficult Covid times. The drinks were generously poured and the food was extremely fresh and well prepared. The waitress was attentive and sweet. I highly recommend this restaurant because the staff as well as the food are top notch. Thanks again to 225 Warren Bar and Grill for making our dining experience on this chilly October night so enjoyable!
The food was terrific. We had the buffalo chicken dip and crab cakes and both were so flavorful and just beyond what I expected honestly. The ambiance is pleasant if not a little underwhelming but Sara our bar tender was very friendly and professional. Service was excellent and the food was outstanding. Definitely worth the visit!
My family and I love 225! Love the atmosphere and the staff is super friendly. Anthony, the owner always stops by to say hello and check on everything. We've never had a bad meal there. Everything is always delicious. My favorite is the French Dip, the wings are quite yummy and the pasta night is always a hit. Great cocktails and don't skip dessert! Looking forward to our next visit.
Probably the most affordable place to eat on Warren St. Not a deep menu, but a good mix of unique pub offerings to fancier dinners. Since the bar is connected to the dining area, coupled with hardwood floors and full drywall, it can get a bit loud on busy nights, so if an intimate setting where you can talk softly is what you are after, you might want to avoid the Friday/Saturday prime tines. Otherwise, it gets a full meh from me. 😀
Walked through the door and the Staff was very welcoming, we just had a couple of drinks but everyone was friendly. Very nice place.
Great food, great service!! Clean and warm atmosphere 👌
The door scared me, but when I walked in it was just wonderful, a most beautiful restaurant, great service , great food, I will be back for sure with friends
I hosted a dinner party for 22. They were extremely accommodating and we're able to make my vision for an intimate family dinner possible. I ordered an array of appetizers for the entire table, to which none were left! They successfully served us all at once. The food was delicious! Then let me mention dessert 🍨! Yummy!!! I enjoyed my birthday dinner. It was the first time for most of my family eating at 225 and all will be returning! Thank you again 225 staff!!!
I am so happy we found this special place. The staff made us feel like regulars. The food is incredible with a great selection on the menu. We will be back, worth the drive.
What a great place to have dinner. Whenever we visit Hudson, we always stop at 225 Warren for dinner. Once again, they did not disappoint. I had pappadelle pasta with braised beef. My wife enjoyed the NY Strip steak. I can't wait to go back.
Had a really good experience at 225 Warren Bar and Grill. The food was SO good. Everything was cooked with intention and it really showed. Partner got the swordfish special and it was tender and buttery, which I find hard to do with such a lean fish. The sauce really helped cut some of the richness. The calamari wasn't over breaded but still crisp. The calamari and the chicken cutlet for my chicken parm were fried to order and came out piping hot. The aesthetic of the the place was clean, monochromatic, and modern, which lent a cool, high-end vibe. The servers were all very friendly and attentive. We went around 5pm on a Saturday and there was no wait. I would highly recommend.
Super convienient location on Warren St; great food, kind hospitality, and a cosy atmosphere. Had the shrimp asparagus tempora to start and enjoyed the fun play on asian fusion it offered. Then enjoyed the french dip with garlic parm fries, honestly been craving a french dip and it definitly hit the spot. My partner had the chicken parm and she enjoyed it alot! Plus the portion was so big she had some for later too. All together great place for a bite to eat, the bar looked nice and inviting too with TVs and a good crowd. Would visit again! Also bonus points for some bad seed cider 🖤
Oh what a great place. I had a Cobb salad and Chicken Bacon ranch wrap and **chef kiss** They make their OWN dressings and its so good. We ordered Cesar dressing and basalmic vinegar on the side to try with salad and its so fresh and full of flavor. Service was great too we were greeted and seated immediately chips were also good. I would def come back :)
YUMMY YUMMY!! Their chicken tenders were absolutely delicious! My partner had the Warren grilled chicken sandwich and that was scrumptious too. The service was genuine and kind. They made us feel like family and this was our first time here. We will be back for sure. Thank 225 Warren Bar and Grill
That was a really great meal. I have to say that my well done fries were the best. I ask at every place I go to have my fries a bit on the crispy side and bam they crushed it. The chicken sandwich was quite tasty. The Cobb salad was really solid and the cauliflower wings were really tasty. We got Buffalo style and it was a fabulous choice. The staff was beyond helpful and the atmosphere is like home. The bar scene appears to be from cheers with regulars and new people alike. Pub type food with plenty of healthy options.
225 Warren Bar and Grill was the ideal spot for lunch while traveling in Hudson, New York. The restaurant provided fun bites – like pizza egg rolls, fried green beans, and crispy fried jumbo wings – with large portions. The back of the house truly knows how to get down on the grill, and delivered us an expertly grilled chicken. We also ordered a wrap and the wings, both of which were thoroughly enjoyed by our staff. Furthermore, 225 Warren Bar and Grill also has a wide selection of drinks – including cocktails, ciders and wines. Our glass of white arrived perfectly chilled and was a revitalizing refreshment to enjoy while seated in the sun. There was ample outdoor seating available, which was perfect for the beautiful summer weather. 360 Magazine looks forward to coming back to enjoy more of 225's delicious dishes and drinks.
Manager went out of his way to make sure we had a good spot for football viewing. Food was good and initial waiter was good. Only reason a 4 vs 5 is the bartender was a bit rude and forgetful. Otherwise recommend the place.
This is a very nice place. The staff was very great and friendly. The food was amazing. Also the bar area was comfortable, with 3 large screens for watching sports. Highly recommend.
Really good place to go. Me and my brother came in on a Wednesday. Had the special (Heel) Tasted amazing. A little dark in the restraunt itself. Cozy atmosphere, will be coming back when in town again!!!! Great service!!!!
Been going since they opened. Family owned and operated. Delish, prepared by Mom with love, food! Lively atmosphere. On the street parking, never had a problem.
We went tonight for my birthday dinner and had the prime rib special. The meat itself was good and had decent flavor, however it was the thinnest prime rib I have ever seen. The interior of the establishment is nice and cozy, although easily became loud making it hard to have any conversation at the table. The staff was friendly and attentive. My husband had the chicken parmigiana which was superb! I had a Three Olives Raspberry Vodka and Sprite which was made perfectly. I would come back for a night out with friends, but probably not again for a sit down dinner.
This place has an amazing bartender. Waiter was also amazing. Food was delicious. It was nice and quiet when I had went. Get the parmesan fries! You won't regret it. We were only visiting Hudson but we would definitely go back next time we are in town.
Been there a few times for lunch. Good fresh food and a nice staff. My review is geared more towards a recent comment stating that this "place is not for locals". Each time I have been in I have indeed run in to long time LOCAL residents and having been here 63 + years I KNOW local. As a matter of fact I had every one of my Cub Scout meetings in the back of that building in the early/mid-1960's when it was the Paramount Grill ! Yes, Cub Scout meetings in the back room of a bar.....the good old Hudson , NY days ! Prices are NOT out of line with any other establishment that offers fresh ,quality food. Keep up the good work.
There are quite a few spots to check out on this block, but 225 Warren is definitely a solid choice if you’re looking for a casual, comfortable place to grab drinks and a bite. They’ve got a mix of bar seating, booths, and room for larger groups. I sampled a few things from the menu during my visit. The fries were tasty and came in an adequate portion size for a starter—nothing over the top, but they got the job done. The calamari was okay. Let’s be honest: this isn’t a seafood restaurant, so expectations should be managed accordingly. That said, the marinara sauce was a good addition. My least favorite item was the mac & cheese bites. I think the issue was more with the mac & cheese itself than the fact that it was fried. On the other hand, the mozzarella sticks were really well done and crispy. The cauliflower wings are a good option. They’re not huge like other restaurants. They’re more like bite-size cauliflower balls. They definitely don’t taste like chicken, but it’s still a nice substitute for a veggie option. One thing I'm not thrilled about is the added credit card fee and the fact that gratuity is included in the pricing. It's just something to be aware of when you get the bill. It can feel a bit sneaky if you’re not expecting it. .
The food and drinks were very good but the service was very slow. Nice atmosphere with options of sitting inside or out in the back. We sat out back, it was nice and sunny and we got to know our table neighbors, it was a lot of fun. Reasonable prices. I Had the fish and chips, so good, crispy, flaky and full of flavor!
Edible but not memorable food. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bar environment seemed lively
I was expecting more. Pretty average food & overpriced much like the rest of Hudson’s main drag establishments. Friendly service, though.
Compared to the other options locally, this place is just average. Their drinks are ok, but I'd rather go to Lawrence Park or a margarita from La Mision. The food is a weak spot in my opinion but it's serviceable if you just need an appetizer so you can grab a few drinks. The restaurant itself is always clean and the owner is very friendly when she's behind the bar. Overall, not a bad second option.
It's not bad, but it's pricier than it should be. I got a burger with lettuce, cheese, bacon and fries, it cost almost $20 because they charge extra for the cheese, bacon, and for the fries! They claim its Kobe meat... I'm not saying it's not, but I am saying it doesn't taste any different than regular Angus beef. It was a good burger, but nothing special. The rest of my party felt the same way I did. The food was good, but no reason for the high price tag. The server was very nice and helpful. Our order and bill were correct, he checked up on us, but not too much. He did well. I'd be happy to go back if the prices were better, until then, I'll be avoiding this place.
We waited about 35 minutes for a table on a Friday evening, and the food was very good. We especially enjoyed the chicken parmesan and fish tacos. The wait staff were somewhat inattentive. Our major issue with this restaurant was the atmosphere. 1) It was so hot inside that we were sweating in t-shirts. They needed to turn the AC down several degrees if it was even on. 2) It was crowded, and the acoustics of the room were terrible. There was also no separation between the loud bar and the dining area. 3) They left the entrance door open, so when customers from the bar continually went outside to smoke directly in front of the door, it would drift inside to the dining area. Overall, I would recommend going if the ambience were significantly improved.
Great food and drinks and friendly/attentive wait staff. Loved the fish tacos. However, the atmosphere was not desirable. Felt like I was in an art gallery or doctors office with the white walls, not very warm or inviting. Also, very loud and voices echoed. I recommend some music to drown out the voices carrying or some curtains to dampen the echo. Overall, not a terrible experience.
Our waitress was great, after that it gets complicated. Recommended - The Lobster Ravioli - Fish Tacos - Chocolate Lava Cake - Limoncello cheesecake Not Recommended - The Pork Ragu special, I really couldn't find any pork. - The Baby Back ribs, tasted like teriyaki, not the expected BBQ sauce. - Filet Mignon, it wasn't the expected 8oz thick round/slightly oval tender piece of beef, it was two small, not so thick pieces of beef that didn't slice up too easily. - Cannolis, the shells were hard as a rock and filled from each end leaving a gap in the middle with no filling.
Just okay. We were visiting for the weekend and selected this restaurant for dinner. The ambiance was lacking and the food was not very good. We had the Buffalo Chicken Dip which was the best of the three dishes. The French Dip was too salty and the salmon was cooked well, but with wild rice and broccoli, it looked and tasted like a TV dinner. A very underwhelming dinner for visitors from New York City.
Nice sidewalk setting.Decent. Ceasar (woody croutons) pleasant Cobb Salad. The wait staff and manager were great, kind and effecient. These days anywhere safe and pleasant is very welcome. It's still safe and pleasant. But the mini turkey burger, burnt, on an oversized bun with a side of potato chips, was sad, I was later told fries were available for an upcharge. The noodles bolognese(4 bucks extra) with chunks of tough meat, green peppers, was inedible. Why not price dishes at value and present them well instead of charging for extras? The not fresh hummus plate was so-so. Our first dinner out in 2 years and could not read menu in low lighting.
$80 for a bottle of really cheap wine, 1 icescream scoop of not so tasty mashed potatoes. 8 asparagus , 1 small scoop of rice . The lobster stuffed flank steak was tough and the lobster was over cooked. This was for 2 people and supposed to a Valentine's special. Certainly not worth the drive or the money. However they get an A+ for the staff. Unfortunately that won't get me back for their food
Disappointed. Paid over 30 dollars for 2 sandwiches, a tiny salad and soggy fries. The ‘aioli’ on my burger covered about the size of a quarter, followed by a clump of onion and one giant hunk of tomato. My girlfriends burger didn’t come with cheese even though we paid extra for it.. Just overall disappointing for the price.. Not sure if this is due to the pandemic, but takeout is more important now than ever. Not the place to start slacking..
Agree with some other reviews - very “lackluster” lunch and the service is meh. For the location and price everything should be a much higher standard.
Everything taste like prefab frozen food. Chicken in wrap was a prefab patty. Place was loud. Appetizer was shaken out of a bag and fried. Nothing original.
This place had great reviews. We were looking forward to dinner. Pricing-not cheap. Service-not good. Food-inconsistent. My pasta was overcooked. When asked if the chocolate layer cake was a dense moist cake the server didn’t know. She disappears, taking care of other tables in the meantime, and finally came back to say no one knew but it looked moist. My gf ordered raspberry swirl cheesecake. They bring plain cheesecake with raspberry syrup topping, because they ran out of the swirl. My gf called after the server to order a hot tea, and she didn’t ask if I wanted anything. We complimented the other server who was very attentive, but said our main server (who turns out to be the owner) was terrible. The owner comes to us and said that we complained the entire night. We thought she’d care more about customer satisfaction and feedback. We didn’t send anything back, didn’t comment on the multiple substitutions, with the only complaint being her poor service. Restaurants that are busy and successful sometimes forget why or how they got there, I hope she just had an off night, but sadly it made for a lousy dining experience.
So we stopped by 225 and we’re sat with menus, a couple of minutes pass and who id assume to be the waitress appeared, to only snatch our menus up and proclaim the kitchen closed early (@720 instead of the 9 that’s posted on the door) then turned and left without even offering beverages. So we waited a couple minutes to only hear the same girl at the bar saying “I hope no one orders a drink cause I’m not a bartender” to other customers. So we left. Id say it was a terrible experience but I can’t because there was no experience at all. Very inconvenient and inconsiderate of that staff member.
Crazy prices for what it is. The food was fine, but not special enough to merit the cost. A small Cobb salad with a few pieces of grilled chicken will run you $14. After our meal we asked to speak to the owner or manager. A few minutes later the waitress told us she was too busy to speak to us because the bar was slammed. It definitely was not and we watched her walk back and forth many times, pointedly not looking our way. We were hoping this would be a great local place to stop in for lunch but for what you get with these prices, it's clear this place is not meant for locals, a shame since I understand it was started by local people. The fact that no one in management could take a moment of their time to hear our comments means we will not be back or recommending this place. If you want a delicious salad or sandwich, there are so many other options on Warren street that will give you a more interesting or special meal for a more reasonable price. Try Baba Louie's or Cascades.
This place is trash. They sell a burrito But there is no hot sauce in the restaurant except siracha. Service was severely underlining and the waitstaff has hoody uniforms
