Really enjoyed my visit. Great service and the music on the night I was there was by Kent Burnside and a group of very talented and fun backups. It was great. It's a small intimate place that makes you feel very comfortable.

Live music is scheduled 6 nights a week with open jam sessions Thursdays and Sundays. I can say personally, we've never been disappointed and really enjoy getting to know and listen to all the artists that come out to play.

Nice little place for a drink or with a date. I was invited by a buddy to check out a local band. The music was not so loud so the you could carry on a conversation. They have wheelchair access and no smoking inside the tavern, smoking areas outside.

My wife and I went here for the first time to celebrate our anniversary. The place was cozy and relaxing. The owner and staff were very friendly, making our night one to remember. The thing that really caught us off guard was that a few patrons heard it was our anniversary, and made a point to come over and wish us well. Live music, friendly staff, relaxing environment... we will definitely be coming back. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing night.

Nice place to stop in to sit and listen to music, small club but cozy, located inside a building from 1928. Has brick walls on inside. On the main street in Humble, pretty green lights covering large oak tree in front, Multiple parking on street depending on what day of the week, and a side of venue parking aera. Today Sunday September 15th 2024 there was a memorial celebration for a great blues musician. Mark May will missed by many. Rest in peace my friend. The Green Oaks Tavern was a really pleasant surprise. They have some of the best blues talent in Houston and the US that performs there. If you want a seat you must get there early. They have a calendar on their Facebook page. Always lots of music happening at this location. Enjoy

Living in Humble for 4 Years, I am disappointed I haven't learned about this place sooner. First impressions was a nice cozy bar, nice decor and atmosphere. TVs with sports games on, a library room when you want to have quiet conversations during live music. And then the live music selection was out of this world. Acoustics were great, sound system clear and no feedback. The owners definitely deeply care about the customers, bar, and live music selection. Excellent selection of spirits, and higher end whiskey. Perfect for sipping. Bartenders are friendly, and have been working at the establishment for over 15 years. Crowd is friendly, older crowd, but still younger bar goers in 30's will still appreciate this bar. Definitely will be back.

First time visitor and I'll be back!! Great listening room and extreme talent up close and personal! Owners and staff were very welcoming and you can tell they love an appreciative crowd. Eric Demmer and bandmates delivered blues extraordinaire and even got a preview of the following night's act, John Clifton. WOW!

I absolutely love this place, my husband and I have been coming to them for quite some time. The live music is absolutely wonderful, and the band is extremely talented and well versed. The 2 bartenders are amazing and they are very good at remembering you. By far the best apple tini I have had, and I've been all over Houston and I've paid, well over 25 dollars for a apple tini and the bartenders here by far, have beat everyone that I've been to in Houston. This is a very underrated bar, it is one of those local gems.

I love the character of this old building! It's an old jailhouse, library and fire station. The venue has great drinks, some snacks to nibble on if you get hungry, and they book amazing bands! I can't wait to go back!

They have a live band every day, music is amazing, and staff and owner's are very nice and welcoming. Well organized establishment, food is good, bartenders know their stuff. Every day specials, you can find information on Instagram and their website. There are days you will pay a cover charge, but it it well worth it. Humble's hidden gem! Small and quaint pub for grown folk. Went with friends on a Thursday evening for a birthday celebration. We all had a great time. The band did not disappoint! Margaritas on point! The owner was very friendly and staff accommodating. Will return again and again.

The vibe, the kick ass musicians jamming on a Friday night but there's two talented, smart and sassy bartenders that are stand outs for me. Izzy and Paige AKA Baby Doll. I want to check out when they have jazz cats playing. This night it was R&B. Local vendors were there peddling gumbo, homemade hats and a few other things With a check out!

This is a great live music venue. The musicians play in the listening room. If you want to talk, please sit in the other room. The seating in the bar area is set up so that you can talk and have a conversation with the wonderful patron of the tavern. The owners are great and bar service is good. Stumbled upon this place. Gotta be honest, I haven't tried the food but Im giving them the benefit of the doubt because THE LIVE MUSIC IS IT! My personal favorite is Wednesdays and Thursday (soul & r&b night). I came on a Sunday for the first time and came back again the same week. Definitely worth giving them a try. Drinks are good too

Hostesses were attentive and friendly, and I'm pretty sure we met the owners who were very friendly and welcoming. Will be back 100%. I’ve been several times for karaoke Tuesdays in the last couple of months and it has always been a great time. There’s such a friendly, neighborhood ambience that I almost expect Norm to come through the door. The DJ is very supportive and encouraging and will join in if needed. Everybody participates, including the owners and the wait staff, (Kim😉 who promised me she and Debby will do back up on my next venture) and nobody is made to feel like they can’t sing(I mean me because I am awful lol). It’s a cool place too with so much history. A real hidden gem.

Decided to go here after a disappointing experience at another venue. We were not here long but the live music was great, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the waitress was prompt and friendly. We had no trouble parking and the parking lot was in good condition. The tavern was about half full so parking may be a problem on a busy night. I will definitely be coming back.

Great Little Pub with Friendly Staff. Smoking is allow which is a downside but the atomsphere is good. The Beer collection is decent. Tuesdays is two dollar drafts all night. Good place to meet up for a few.

I had been really wanting to check out @greenoakstavern ever since I came across their FB page. The verdict, I'm not disappointed. Went on a Tue around 5pm with my wife and friend, reason: to close out her birthday week. It was happy hour; bought a Corona, a few good Margaritas, great Bloody Mary, & whiskey on the rocks. Spent about $30. The atmosphere was chill, the place was a bit smaller than what I expected but that's not a problem. Good to know for when I go back for a live event I'll know to get there a bit early to find a good seat. Overall, I like A LOT!!! 👍🏼👍🏼

Good music, kind of pricey drinks for the area, Angie and Joe are very attentive and work hard to please the customers. Cover charges for the music are a big downside IMO. Old owners didn't charge to listen to great music.

Visiting from out of state, bar tender had a cool look with dreadlocks but acted like we were bothering her. We had 1 beer each and left, we were trying to find out if there were places we should check out while we were here, she was no help and we didn’t feel welcome. Would not go back.

Classic dive bar. Great, friendly customer service. BUT, I ordered an old fashioned, my second drink with a different bourbon, and it had bugs in it. Told the bartender, she remade the drink and as she handed it to me through the solemn light beam of the vintage recessed light fixture, I noticed another bug in the drink. I politely informed the bartender it happened again. A co-worker held the bottle to the same light beam that lacked the proper luminescence to expose the unfortunate congregation of tiny drunken deceased now flightless flies swimming in the bellows of the flavorful bourbon. I decided to end my dive into the variety of libations offered and paid my tab and made the difficult decision to not consume the minute protein driven cocktails. I'll happily return but only for a bottled beer.

I was never told @ the door or when I started ordering I had to pay a cover. There was a live band in the back room. I sat at the bar, yes I enjoyed the music but no different than radio or jukebox. Very disappointing to see $15.00 cover charge and a $1.91 credit card service fee. Felt a little slimey to get cover charges and credit card fees without letting someone know.

4 beers $50.00...Absolutely 4 beers, not 6 beers, not happy...Management did reach out to me and voiced their displeasure of me and my review. I have been to this bar many times and never had an issue @ open mics... I didnt know I would pay full cover with 35 minutes of entertainment, My fault, had I known we would have passed.. This was the 1st place I have ever not left a tip...I felt cheated..sorry..I did reach out to my friend who was performing and apologized if I was disruptive during his show.. His honest professional courtesy is always welcome...

My friends and I went to their open mic night. After purchasing drinks, and enjoying 3 HOURS of performances, right before my friend was supposed to perform, THE ACTUAL OWNER OF THE BAR (I had to ask because of the audacity) told ME he wasn't interested in hearing the performance. I went to his bar WITH MY MEXICAN FRIENDS in HUMBLE TEXAS to watch them perform for the first time, but apparently he wasn't "interested in their performance". Not sure why he told the one white person why he didn't want to hear their performance when I wasn't even the one performing! We spoke to so many of the patrons and met so many lovely people, it genuinely shocked me when we were asked to leave. In 2023. Guess some still just can't stand to mix with people outside their comfort zone????? I can't reiterate enough that the actual PATRONS OF THE BAR were so excited to hear their performance but the older white male with the rat tail that apparently owns the place told the ONE WHITE PERSON in the group that we weren't welcome. WOW

Me and my friend were waiting at the bar before he was supposed to perform - he was sober, and I was only a little tipsy. The owner of the bar came up to us and decided to kick us out, saying we "overstayed our welcome". We explained that he was there to perform, then the owner said he didn't care and didn't recognize us, and kicked us out anyways. So much for a live music bar - is this how you treat your musicians who give you your business?
