I loved this place so much!!!! I came from out of town and had no idea where to eat. My mom and I choose this place. Now, it was surprising that it was a literal bar but I have no complaints!!!! That was probably the best burger I’ve ever eaten! Another thing, these were the first loaded fries that I did not need ranch with. They were absolutely amazing .Our waiter was fabulous !!!! You could tell that she loved her job and the people around her. I wish we had more waiters like her! I didn’t catch her name but she has a beautiful smile with black hair. I recommend anyone to try this place out!

Delicious food at a good price, the burger was gigantic and the bacon-wrapped steak was delicious. Fries were tasty and the Mac and Cheese was rich and cheesey. Our server was very helpful! Salad was good. My one complaint was it was little too loud for a bit, with the music and a ton of people talking. But it toned down later on.

Great food. Overall the place is cool and most of the time great music..besides the times when country music is on. Inside it can get cramped a little but there’s a good amount of space outside.

I’ve been going to Humphrey’s for quite a while now, so when my brother came in town over the holidays and we were going to go out to eat and he said he wanted a good burger, I told him I had the perfect place to take him. I told him the place I was going to take him had the absolute best burgers around and a really cool vibe with friendly service. I really worked up Humphrey’s because, in my opinion, it is that good. We both ordered burgers. I ordered mine medium well and he ordered his medium rare. When we got our burgers, mine came out as I ordered it, but his came out medium well just like mine, not medium rare, the way he ordered it. When our waitress came to check on us, he let her know that his burger was medium well and he had asked for a medium rare burger. Our waitress’ response was, “well, they just kinda do their own thing back there,” and then she laughed. She never offered to take it back and fix it or make it right or anything. That was very disappointing because I had spoken so highly of Humphrey’s and have never had a problem there before. My brother was not too impressed with the burger or the service. I believe if he would have got the burger prepared the way he requested, he would’ve loved it. On the other hand, my burger was delicious as usual. I don’t believe the cooks just “do their own thing back there.“ If they do, I probably will not return. But if they do not just do their own thing, I suggest doing some retraining with your waitresses. I waited tables for almost 15 years long ago, and the goal is to make the customer happy, and this customer was not.

Food was good & portion sizes were huge!! Service was just ok but it wasn't completely the waitress's fault. Their uniforms are short skirts & it was cold & windy today so they had to be miserable, plus it appeared there weren't many working when we first arrived. Waitresses were all crossing each other & it seemed there wasn't an efficient system in place for serving specific sections, which would likely make things flow better & allow for better service overall. On a warm day the atmosphere is probably pretty great but today it was loud & unbearable inside, cold & windy outside but that's out of the owner's control. All in all it was a decent place to eat some traditional American food, while listening to country music on the patio

The service and the price was not the problem but the food was completely wrong and when we called and asked for a refund after we got home they refused to give one unless we drove 20 minutes back in to town

After reading all the rave reviews about this place my husband and I decided to go have dinner there. I mean, of all reviews I read, not one person had one bad thing to say. They all raved about how great the place was. Great food, great service, great everything. We didn't have the same experience as everyone else. Yes, the service was good, our waitress was very helpful and pleasant, the atmosphere was as one would expect for a college town restaurant and bar, a little to cramped for me but otherwise very nice. It was the food that was the issue for us. My husband ordered the rib eye steak and was very disappointed. He ordered it med well and had to send it back to be cooked longer because it was med rare. When he got it back, it was burnt. Also, he got a loaded backed potato that came with no bacon on it, so he asked for a side of bacon to go on it. She came back with a cup of raw Canadian bacon. It wasn't good to say the least. Definitely not worth the forty dollars the steak cost. I ordered the George Humphreys Greek salad with grilled chicken. I wouldn't recommend it. The chicken was dry and burnt. It came with pita bread that I asked for some butter for. I was brought melted garlic butter that had the worst taste, I can't even describe it. Not happy at all. Very disappointed. Maybe they were just having a bad night.

I walked in and stood there for a little bit before greeted and had to ask to just sit anywhere. The server was nice and made suggestions when asked what was good to eat. I ordered the Bacon Burger with BBQ sauce and onion rings. The burger would have been a lot better without the bacon because the bacon was overcooked and hard. But everything else was OK just don't get the Bacon, I told the server about it and said she was sorry and will let the cook know and went back over to the bar taking to other servers.

Food is OK, if you get served, waitress was nice. Called it good w/an appetizer and beer, after waiting for well over an hour with no sign of our order. Place was not very busy either at 7pm on a Friday. Extra long waits seem to be the routine lately. Won't be going back.

Atmosphere sucked big time! If you don’t look like the workers, they’ll look at you with a dumb look on their face! Decent portion food, fish was seasoned and hot. A couple Hush puppies weren’t cooked all the way and had batter in the middle , onion rings no seasoning to the batter and more of an attempted tempura
