First place I've come on my first trip to Texas. It's fantastic. The food is excellent with big portions. The decor, tables etc are old. But it's kinda charming. I'd try it out if I were you.
We love coming here! Have been coming here frequently for 4 years! My husband always gets (5) tacos El Pastor with a double side of rice, & my favorite is the Filete de pascodo Empanizado aka the fried fish! All our food is always hot & fresh! I get extra onion & mayo with my fish & it is the most flavorful, amazing food! They are super cheap too! Myself, hubs, & our kid eat for about $40 or less. Oh & the free beer on the weekends is ice cold & amazing too!
Been a few years since we've been here. Last experience wasn't good but recently it's been fantastic! The service is always good the food taste great. Plus they have menu do! I wish the inside was a little bit more updated but it keeps the food prices very affordable. I do recommend this restaurant.
(Too long did not read) food good, prices cheap, customer service great, real mexican, This place is great for authentic Mexican food in a casual environment the food was fresh and was made from scratch and the service was excellent the servers were very friendly the atmosphere was clean and inviting they serve breakfast lunch and dinner being a person growing up next to the Mexican border it's hard to find authentic Mexican food in Texas a lot of it is Tex-Mex this place however is authentic Mexican I would highly recommend anyone looking for an authentic Mexican food experience give this place a try
My father in law told us about this place and it is super small, there is not that much seating but the waitresses are very attentive and the food came out fast. I loved that they gave us 3 salsas to try out! Unfortunately my plate wasn't that good, i ordered flautas and they were super crispy, the meat wasn't pulled well enough. I will definitely come back only because they do have a big selection on their menu and I wanna try it out.
I ordered several different tacos. They were carne asada, apastor, and tripa. I had tried to get lengua and suadero, but they had any of either. The tacos came with everything, except no extra hot salsa, nor was any salsa provided with the tacos. Perhaps they only give when asked? But most taco shops give the salsa with the order. The salsa was very much needed. The tacos were very bland, almost to the point I could only feel the difference by sight. I would more than likely not come back.
Well, i was sadly disappointed in my trip here today. I was in the mood for a burrito and/or quesadilla. I had a good experience previously so I was looking forward to it. The drive through menu has no prices so be careful there. The chicken quesadilla tasted ok but the chicken was VERY greasy. I have not had the burrito yet so if it is much better I may change my rating. Here is the major disappointment..... $35 for a burrito and quesadilla. No receipt. No prices on the menu. I thought at first she said $25 so I was thinking $12 each... a bit high but not terrible. But when I signed the credit card receipt, it was $35. Not the plate, just a burrito and just a quesadilla. Not what I expected and not great service at the window. Needless to say, I will not be visiting this location again in the future. That is a shame because my prior experiences were good.
Food was Good and especially Free Margarita on Saturday! However.. service was just not there, drinks weren’t refilled or at least come by to check up on us. I got the Torta with Barbacoa which was great! Brother had his Enchiladas Roja and Mother had her tacos. Which they had the order wrong due to switching Servers.
I ordered 2 barbacoa and 2 liver and onions tacos in the drive thru. It was lunch time so I only took pics of the last one left. The wait was a little longer than expected but it was OK. Friendly staff. The barbacoa I feel lacked flavor, I shouldn't have to rely on the hot sauce to like it. Now the liver, I enjoyed wasn't too dry and I didn't have to add salt like I usually do. The sauted onions were nicely grilled. I'll go back for those and will try other meats next time.
Ordered the Fajitas and Queso here. Both were an absolute mess. Grease fest, Fajitas are maintained before, during, and after they are cooked/grilled, I honestly couldn't tell 🤷. Skillet had maybe half an inch of sizzling grease in it when served. No peco is served, just a single slice of cucumber and a sigle slice of tomato with lettuce. Also rice and poor looking refried beans are served, no charro beans are offered. The queso was hard despite being super hot. Maybe Velveeta is used but this queso wasn't it. Quality of the food would mean its cheap? No, not at all. Had these with a single coke and ran $30. Foodi beware👎
Dude, I waited 20 minutes for my food at the drive-thru, and it wasn't even ready! The lady taking orders was just staring at her screen, not even checking on my order. I had to flag her down to see if it was ready or if I should just cancel. I ordered a large agua fresca, but she gave me a small one and insisted it was the right size. The service was awful, and the food wasn't any better. One torta and a "LG water" cost almost $19, and it wasn't worth it at all.
I came in hungry and decided to give this place a try. I ordered an horchata, which was just okay—nothing special, but drinkable. For my meal, I went with the shrimp chipotle plate. Unfortunately, this is where everything went downhill. The rice was practically inedible, with a strange taste that made me push it aside after a few bites. The potato salad was far from fresh—more like it had been sitting in a freezer. Worst of all, the shrimp had an off-putting smell that made me question whether it was safe to eat. At that point, I stopped eating altogether. I didn’t even bother touching the salad. I still ended up paying $25 for a plate I couldn’t finish and left disappointed and still hungry. Definitely not worth the money or the experience.
The food is not edible. So disappointing. I got a burrito with chicharon and inside was just pork fat. Nothing tasted fresh. I couldn’t continue eating. My husband’s burrito looked greasy and he said it tasted gross. We got the flan, also inedible. For nearly $50 this was a horrible experience.
They have the rudest staff you will ever experience! The lady at the front counter wearing the adidas did not want to proceed to pay how I asked her to she then charges me for the additional sauces I asked for and when I got my food it was not in the bag so I asked for it again and she tried to charge me even tho she forgot it , very rude service wont be back. Coming back to edit that half of the caldo de res was all bone and then they put little to nothing in the birria and both were like water with no flavor
