Ate here last night since it was around the corner from our airbnb. So so so glad we did. Its a small mom and pop place with so much character. You're welcomed by a cute little pup who runs around and makes it feel homey. The waiter David I believe was fantastic. Definitely not what I expected, he's more trained like a 5 star Michelin fancy maitre'd. He was great and attentive and had great recommendations. The cook not only made great food but walked around making sure everyons food was to their liking. The atmosphere reminded me of many pubs we ate at in Ireland. I had the chicken parm which was so good and huge I couldn't eat it all. My husband got the greek burger which was so beefy and delish. Highly recommend. Stop in next time you visit.
Hidden gem in idyllwild! Don’t waste your time in the long lines at the popular dining spots. Idyology served me by far THE BEST MEAL I HAVE EVER EATEN! This place was the only spot without lines out the door so we decided to check it out. We were seated immediately and given the menu with suggestions. The waiter was attentive and checked in with us frequently and I was surprised even the owner came around and said hi! I was so happy to meet her and she even shared a story with us about one of her menu items. It really made me understand the love and heart she puts into her meals. We started with a salad that included assorted raisins, goat cheese, almonds and a citrus balsamic dressing. For our entree we had a chicken skewers plate that came with a salad topped with tzatziki and warm homemade bread. Our waiter suggested we add the hummus and it was delicious! Ended dinner with a slice of their warm chocolate cake topped with raspberry sauce. The menu had vegan and vegetarian options with other healthy options as well. You don’t have to stress over parking here. The restaurant has parking out front and on the side.
Roloseems to be the official canine greeter at Idyology, an awesome dog friendly restuarant in Idyllwild. The food is fresh, each order is individually made, very very tasty and presented beautifully. The split pea basil soup is unique and beyond comparison, it is an original dish created by the owner Carmella. The brussel sprouts were seasoned most excellently, and had crispy leaves to die for. The dish of the gods lives up to the name, and the desserts are excellent, especially the lemon marange oven kissed pie. Outdoor seating under the trees, by the stream. The outside area is very socially accommodating, dog friendly, and romantic. Easy parking, excellent food, great music, reasonable prices, and the friendly atmosphere makes this place one that you won't be sorry to have experienced. Support Idyllwild and patronize here while you enjoy the mountain!
Amazing restaurant with tremendous owners who make sure you are having a great experience. Dog friendly. The back deck is awe inspiring above the creek. Food is TO DIE FOR!!! duck is AWESOME!!!! Also...get the duck!!!
Recently visited, Idyology Restaurant. I hadn't been since new ownership changeover. It was a wonderful surprise from the old owners. I actually had a very nice conversation with the new owner found out all new updates to the menu and the restaurant, all we're good!! The food was made from fresh ingredients, not frozen out of a box. Our meals were DELICIOUS and our beverages were so big I didn't have to keep looking for our waitress for a refill. Prices aren't cheap but for Idyllwild they were reasonable and especially for the quality of the food. We will definitely be back!! If you are also into live music they have that covered too, I check who and when on the music. I highly recommend, Idyology Restaurant!!!
This is a cute restaurant. We had a birthday dinner there and they made it special for us. Very friendly staff. I got the salmon and cous cous which was very good
Went back for a 2nd visit as we loved our meal several weeks ago. Was stellar once again. Grat vegetarian and vegan options. Beautiful creekside view and great service
A perfect meal. The duck was incredible. The homemade lemon meringue was to die for. The service and atmosphere was absolutely splendid.
Eclectic place (look at the pics). Great American cuisine. Not cheap but worth every dollar.
Great restaurant/ bar in Idyllwild. Kinda tucked away & off the main town center, but that makes it that much cooler. Great small mountain town decor & as a bonus, it’s the only place w a pool table in town! Also, they have a menu for the puppers in your life.
I wish I could give TEN stars!!! Kelli and the whole team at IDYology are a huge part in what made my wedding weekend better than perfect!!! Not only did they let us have a ROCKIN' after party there, with my brothers-in-law DJ-ing and a dance party and everything, but what they did for us the next day, Sunday morning, was just incredible...: We booked IDYology from 11 AM - 1 PM for a post-wedding Sunday brunch. Kelli and her team cooked up a storm of delicious quiches (I especially loved the sausage one, was there biscuit gravy in there?!), had a whole spread of pastries and bagels and cakes, coffee, juice, water, tea. They had the bar open so people could order mimosas (which were delicious) etc. The enormous and absolutely stunning two-level back patio were perfect for our over 100 guests (probably closer to 140 that day) and everyone had a wonderful time. Kelli was so sweet, accommodating and easy to work with from the get-go. If you ever have a large event in town, look no further. Truly perfect!!!!

Excellent freshly prepared food. Nice music. Friendly dogs that will entertain while the owner prepares your meal. My husband had the chicken tiki Marsala and I had the lamb shank both of which were excellent. The owner provided us with a delicious key lime pie for desert on the house. Don’t go expecting fast food as everything is prepared fresh when ordered.
The experience was absolutely amazing! They have a new chef that wowed us with his octopus dish. It was fun and delicious. The champagne custard for dessert was fantastic. Our waiter, David, was so nice and attentive. He even got a blanket for my wife since we were dining outside at night. Will definitely come again!
The food was exquisite. The music (which can be changed at the jukebox if you desire) is by default phenomenal. If you like the 70s and 80s hits you'll love it the vibe. The decor is eclectic and artsy in a fun and relaxed way. They have a very friendly puppy that greets everyone at the door and will (occasionally) try and give you a powerful stare in the hopes you "drop" a piece of chicken. All in all a wonderful experience.
What a wonderful place , the atmosphere superb- great music, beautiful art , a giant fireplace and big windows for a view of the gorgeous scenery. Also the waiter David was great and we met the owner Carmel who was very nice and accommodating. To top it all off the food was delicious, we had Hummus and Naan bread with a delicious cucumber salad and Greek olives wow so good. We both had the goddess pasta for our main dish and loved it . We will definitely go back. Thank you from Brenda and Sam
Great food and service! We came in and sat on the patio since the temp was perfect out. The interior needs an update but it feels rustic and mountainy. During wetter season the stream runs through which. We ordered the pasts of the gods and the duck breast.. both were not over seasoned and perfectly cooked.. our server was knowledgeable and friendly.. o yea and the malbec from Argentina was epic too. Don't mind the older building and decor.. do mind how great the grub is!
We took a long weekend getaway for our anniversary and found this place. The food was great. The service too. David made sure we had the best time and food. Filet Mignon for my husband...cooked to perfection and well seasoned. Chicken Gyros plate for me... amazing! House made hummus and taziki, which had thinly sliced cucumbers....yum! and the pita? heaven! the chicken skewers were fantastic too. The owner is a beautiful soul who prepared this feast and shared some of her original music with us as we enjoyed a slice of lemon meringue pie for dessert. All in all a wonderful time.

Had lunch here. The place looks like a dive but the hamburgers are very good. The fries are made from fresh potatoes and are some of the best I ever had.
It was pretty good food and atmosphere. I am not really into country music, but it wasn't too country western for me at least. The atmosphere was nice. We ordered the cheese flat bread pizza and my wife had a Ginger beer to drink. The ginger beer was stronger than she expected. It was pretty strong. I had am orange wheat ale. Overall it was pretty good and I would return again. My wife and I like the restaurants that have some character and good food and this place had both.

This place won't be around much longer. The food was actually good despite one person ordering serving cooking and bussing. Two piles of dog poop on carpet so obviously had not even vacuumed in the last day. Even if be some miracle she got a bunch of costumers she then would not have the staff to serve them. Kinda sad.
