This place was everything! Not from the area & seen this cute spot, decided to stop by for a bite & it was the best decision. Food was sooo good & the customer service was top tier Had the chilaquiles with carne asada as our server recommended (blonde hair server) and everything was perfect ! 10/10 would recommend & come again
Had a delightful lunch here yesterday the service is nice but it was really great is the food and the drinks are phenomenal as well, if you ask for tea they have so many different ones, and the fresh brew it on site. My only complaint is that tomato soup tastes more like spaghetti sauce in fact I went home and turned it into a spaghetti sauce for dinner, which was absolutely delicious. I just think it needs to be a bit more liquidy and creamy but it was delicious tasting, So much so that I ate it twice! The french dip was great as well it would be really nice if it actually came with the Ajou sauce instead of a gravy. I really enjoyed my avocado sandwich I couldn’t believe it was just heaping full of avocado and meat. I will for sure be back this place is such a welcomed addition to IB. Great job knowing what this neighborhood needs.
Can't say enough good things about this location, came back to back days, that's how good it is. From burgers to French toast and every bit of their lunch and breakfast menu. Outstanding!!!
Nice little place good food easy street parking as long as it’s not 1st or 3rd Monday 7-11 am street cleaning. Staff pleasant service was adequate.
The coffee and vanilla chai are delicious! Great service, our server was kind and prompt and provided great customer service. Eggs Benedict and the breakfast sandwich on a croissant were the perfect choices for brunch on a sunny morning on the patio! I recommend!
The restaurant is lovely with indoor and patio dining. The food presentation is beautiful. The staff is professional and friendly. Every menu item our party chose exceeded all expectations. The coffee selections are wonderful. Absolutely five stars!
Ever since I found out about this Cafe it's been one of my favorites to have breakfast with my daughter and family. Friendly staff, not crowded at all, during the week or on the weekends its always a good time and great staff and services.
Beautiful setting on the patio. Food is excellent but made from scratch so it may take a while. Gets busy. We went 3 days in a row and were not disappointed.
This is my favorite addition to Imperial Beach when it comes to food. Aranda’s has healthy options and brings a unique atmosphere and great tasting food. I love all the breakfast options, really good lunches and an abundance of drinks and smoothies to choose from.
Tons of plants, warmer for cooler morning, crepes were good, pancakes were good, kids breakfast were good, will be back again in our week long stay
First time trying this place with friends and MAN WAS IT GREAT! The food was GREAT. Good portions for the food and the coffee ! Mexican mocha was AWESOME! Cant go wrong with the BBLT breakfast sandwich.
We were delighted by this find! Short walk from our hotel; family-owned; service was warm, attentive and efficient; patio is beautiful…they’ve created a stylish and inviting outdoor space with heaters, comfortable seating, clear shades in case of rain, and lots of greenery; food and lattes were excellent. We went back two days in a row! Highly recommend.
This place is a gem. Excellent menu, very friendly service and wonderful atmosphere. Absolutely one of the best breakfast experiences in Imperial Beach. This place is worth a trip. As good as any breakfast/coffee experience I have had in San Diego.
Delicious food and beautiful presentation; they clearly pay careful attention to every order. Delicious avocado toast and other toast options. Coffee and lattes are particularly delicious. Staff are very friendly. Medium wait times, don't expect a fast-food turnaround. Relax and enjoy the pretty flora on the front porch.
I went to brunch with a friend for the first time. Natalie gave us great service. Will definitely return. Such an enjoyable experience. Highly recommend it.
Our 1st time here. Food and coffee were so great!! Staff was knowledgeable and friendly.
Cute atmosphere with exceptional service and delicious food. Great spot for brunch, and would heavily recommend if you've got the money to spare. It's a bit pricey, but the quality of the food is worth it! The ham was a bit tough and I would have preferred a sharper knife to cut it with, but it still tasted delicious and would absolutely go back.
Always the best of everything here! Quiet cozy spot with wonderful food and service.
Delicious and conscientious of detail. So glad to have Arandas here in Imperial Beach, they are behind the Tapatio taqueria. They make delicious pastry too, mini chocolate croissants and chunky chocolate scones. They offer crepes, Toasts, waffles n chicken plus a full lunch menu, but hurry they’re open until 4pm!
If your looking for a cute and YUMMY place to eat right off Imperial Beach this is the spot!! Since there are hardly any breakfast places in walking distant s it was great to find this little spot ( which was walking distance ) The waiter was on top of his game and the food was absolutely beautiful and yummy !! Pricing is great and the coffee is amazing !! Can’t say enough good words this am! Thank you for the wonderful experience!!
Aranda's was a cute and beautiful little sit down restaurant. It had amazingly fresh and delicious food. I ordered the pancakes and eggs breakfast. My husband got the breakfast sandwich on a croissant. He asked for his avacado on the side and was given literally a half of an avacado, sliced. Most places are so greedy with avacado but not this place. The coffee was so good too The service was fast and friendly. I'm obsessed with this place. We will be back next time in San Diego!
Came here after seeing a lot of good reviews and tried the Eggs Benedict. Unfortunately, the hollandaise sauce really missed the mark — it didn’t taste buttery at all. I asked about it, and the chef confirmed they don't use butter in the hollandaise. The staff was really understanding though and replaced my dish without any problem, which I appreciate. If you’re thinking about ordering the Eggs Benedict, I’d recommend picking something else — the hollandaise just doesn’t taste like a true hollandaise should. On the bright side, my latte was really good! Service overall felt a little rough, probably because they seem pretty understaffed (at least on weekends). We weren’t really checked on after getting our food, didn’t get water refills, and it took a while just to get seated because no one was at the host stand for a bit. They also accidentally dropped off a cinnamon latte and a hot chocolate we didn’t order — we asked about it, they said they’d check, and then didn’t come back for a while. We had to flag someone down, and they told us we could just keep the drinks, which was nice, but definitely added to the feeling that they’re stretched thin. Still leaving a positive rating because the staff was kind and tried to make things right — just really hope they can get some more help soon. This could be a great spot with a little more support.
Really enjoyed this little place. Great hibiscus tea, nice blt, fantastic chilaquiles! We'll be back.
Today we received wonderful service and comforting food. I’ll be honest I didn’t come with the highest expectations due to some of the reviews but I’m so happy we gave it a chance. Kind service and friendly smiles. Our lattes were made perfectly, really meshed well with the outdoor vibe. We had the chilaquiles and hot chicken Benedict’s. Very good if I had to make a suggestion just a pinch of salt but nothing major. Overall very happy with everything. I would say if you come starving, then just be aware food is made to order and fresh so it does take a little bit which is normal. Also just 2 people serving perhaps because it wasn’t as busy but on a busy day they may have more help. Regardless I highly recommend it, you won’t regret it. Thank you for giving us a pleasant experience.
If you are in the San Diego/Imperial Beach area this is a must!! My girlfriend and I got the açaí bowl, the mixed fruit bowl, and a hibiscus tea and all of it was delicious! The atmosphere was stunning and the staff were so friendly and attentive! Also, very affordable!
Our favorite breakfast spot when we are in the Imperial Beach area. Nice quiet atmosphere with plenty of patio seating to enjoy the weather. Staff have always been pleasant. We have only ordered breakfast, but everything has been great. We will continue to make this one of our stops.
Most beautiful bathroom ever! The berry french toast was a masterpiece, and enough for two people!! The only feedback i have is the music could be more tasteful, like a jazzy or lo-fi vibe- to match the decor.
Fast friendly service. Great atmosphere and REALLY GREAT food. Delicious! Highly recommend.
Had breakfast and food was excellent. Ordered the vegetable omelette and chiliquiles with carne asada. Potatoes were really crispy and steak was seasoned perfectly.
Seriously amazing food and service. The freshest food and so delicious. I wanted to order the whole menu! I will absolutely be coming back.
We came for brunch around 1030 on a Sunday. They were a little busy, but we only waited about 5 minutes to be seated. We got 2 mocha lattes (1 hot, 1 iced). We ordered the eggs Benedict spicy chicken( the sauce was spicy, not the chicken itself) and the French toast. Later added a bowl of berries( the fruit is so fresh… raspberries, blackberries, strawberries and blueberries). Everything was good. We really enjoyed the coffee!
Seriously some of the best food I have had in a long time and we love to eat out at nice restaurants wherever we visit! The food looked amazing and it was! The coffee looked beautiful and it tasted even better! The orange juice was freshly squeezed and was so good we ordered more to go (but finished it before we left). The kids’ food was enormous and they devoured it! Even the little side fruit cups it came with were over the top - with berries, pineapple and watermelon and more like bowls than tiny fruit cups!! We were just visiting the area and stumbled upon this place, but I would make a special trip just to eat here again!!!
This is very clean and well kept. Looks very nice. Good place to take the family. The food was fast and tasted great. I recommend the bacon and pancakes. The coffee is very good but it looks like you don’t get refills. Service was great.
What a GEM of a place! The pictures will say it all ....but you need to go check it out for yourself. Fantastic ambiance, incredibly great food, warm service... This place has it all! Tucked away behind El Tapatio in Imperial Beach (same family runs Arandas). My expectations went up as soon as we walked in the door...SO MUCH ATTENTION TO DETAIL! From the overall ambience and decor (black and white, "bistro chic"), to the incidentals like menus, chairs and tables: everything represents "the brand". I was thinking "if it LOOKS this good-- the food must be great".... And we weren't disappointed. This is an owner / chef that cares about quality. We enjoyed the stuffed brioche French toast with cinnamon mascarpone, homemade applesauce and berries, with a side of crispy applewood smoked bacon. And the eggs florentine with a side of sausages. A perfect latte breve topped it all off for me. (Bill came to about $45. ) MINOR quibbles (almost too small to mention but since it feels like the owners are striving perfection, they would want to know.... Since It's already pretty darn close to perfect!) ---Our server came pretty quickly and she was very attentive without being intrusive (something I really appreciate)---however the food took a little while to come. We weren't in a rush so no big deal. But the place was fairly slow with only two other tables at the time. (One was a big party of 12 people.... Perhaps they walked in right before us and the kitchen was slammed?) Again. VERY minor complaint. However my friend who recommended this place warned me that the service might be slow... So I thought I should mention it. --Food came out HOT-- but the plates weren't pre warmed, so it cooled down fairly quickly. --the French toast was BEAUTIFULLY presented. Eggs benedict could have been dressed up a little bit? (Slice of orange and a strawberry maybe? With a sprinkle of chives or something on top? Just could have been a little bit better--especially compared to the French toast) --they might want to consider setting the tables with silverware. The food was delivered and then our waitress had to go back and get knives and forks..... While we sat there drooling, looking at our beautiful food 😏😁 Other than that... This comes close to being one of the VERY best dining out experiences I've had in a long time. Almost perfect. Can't wait to try it again... There's so many options on that menu that are calling my name! And... Let's hope they open for dinner service soon. Currently they are a breakfast through lunch spot. Can't wait to see what they might offer for dinner! One Last tip: they might want to consider getting a beer and wine license. Mimosas with brunch would be the crowning touch! I could also see them setting up a cute little bar on the patio for people who are waiting for a table? Sipping mimosas or champagne? Arandas is altogether lovely, the perfect neighborhood spot! May they prosper!
IB needed a good local sit down breakfast spot. Everything was delicious and presented well. The atmosphere was cute and elegant. They have heaters as most of the seating is under the patio. Orange juice is fresh squeezed and delicious. The Nutella French toast had plenty of fruit and the Benedict was excellent. We will definitely be visiting again. The lunch menu looks pretty good too, can’t wait to try it. The place is still very new so they just need a little patience while they get everything running to perfection. Overall everything was great.

I love stopping by Arandas Café whenever I’m in Imperial Beach. It’s such a cute little spot and it always feels cozy. This time I got a matcha, their freshly squeezed orange juice, the Monte Cristo, and a parfait — everything was so fresh and honestly so yummy. The vibe is calm, the people are sweet, and it’s just one of those places you’re happy you found. Definitely one of my little go-to gems.
Wow, what a hidden gem! My two friends took me there for breakfast today. All of our meals were delicious and the coffee was amazing! When I say it's hidden, it really is. It's right off Palm Avenue in Imperial Beach but if you weren't looking, you would miss it. It's directly behind El Tapatio. If you want breakfast or lunch at a quaint cafe with a wonderful outside patio and great service, this is the place to go! I can't wait to take MY friends there!

This is more of a 4.4 rating, than a 4. We had b-fast here twice during a weeks long visit to Imperial Beach. I had eggs bendict one day and the Monte Cristo crepe the other. Both were excellent. The hollondaise on the bendict was delicious, and while they serve it on focaccia instead of a an english muffin, it worked. The crepe was delicate and well filled with ham, turkey and cheese. They make a fine cup of hot chocolate. My guests meals were a little less successful She had eggs, bacon and pancakes on day 1. The eggs were fine, the bacon nice and crispy (as ordered) but the pancake itself was quite dense. The Belgian waffle on day 2 was also very dense. Almost like pizza dough, rather than fluffy waffle batter. Taste of both was reasonable, but the texture put her off. She also got fresh squeezed OJ both days. Service was great, and the decor is very trendy and bistro-y. We'd go back.
Coffee review only. This review is for a narrow slice of the population looking for a quality shot of espresso in the modern light to medium roast vein. They serve fresh, Cafe Virtuoso espresso roast blend (a blend of South and Central American beans and African beans). I was staying near the beach and this is THE ONLY place serving an acceptable shot of espresso in at least 15 miles or so. They don't pull shots by ratio, but use timed presets on their LaMarzocca machine. This means that there is a wide and inconsistent variety in the types of shots that they pull. However, the scarcity of competition for this kind of espresso and the fact that they use quality beans mean that this place was a lifeline during my stay in IB for a good shot of coffee. I tried Mike Hess brewing hoping that they served a decent shot but they serve a darkly roasted bean that produces an extremely bitter and undrinkable shot. Avoid the brewed coffee - order an Americano instead. They use pre-ground, pre-weighed coffee (also from Cafe Virtuoso) for their brewed coffee and it is weak and stale. Unpleasant. A solid four stars because they have great service and are the only place nearby that can pull a passable shot of espresso. I look forward to coming back and trying their amazing looking breakfast menu.
Very cute little place between El Tapitio and the Fleet Reserve. The good-Nice patio, clean, food is good. The not so good-my dining companion got his food a full fifteen minutes before I got mine. This is after reminding the server. They were not that busy at the time and appeared to have adequate staff. No server ever came by to refill water, coffee or just check in. The final result-spoke with the owner who was appreciative of feedback and comped our meal. I would go here again because the food is good but I hope that the server's get some much needed training.
Food was so good but my favorite was their hot spiced chai latte. Service was a little slow but it was worth the wait.
I love to come here for coffee drinks and it is such a cute place. Family and dog friendly! The people are super nice but the service can be slow sometimes. I’ve eaten here a bunch and the food is solid but hit or miss. Definitely good but not great. Solid 4 stars. Some people I’ve gone with absolutely love it and others don’t really. The eggs Benedict are probably my favorite and also the fresh squeezed OJ. The coffee is yummy and great place to relax and enjoy a morning and isn’t usually a big deal to get a table on the weekend like a lot of breakfast places. It’s a cute community location so usually everyone there is nice and friendly like most places in IB just good vibes and good people! I definitely recommend checking it out!
I’ve lived in IB for over a year and had no idea this place existed. Just happened to spot it while walking by- and it looks so inviting from the street! Came back a week later with my husband. The terrace is lovely, like sitting in a secluded garden. The menu more extensive than expected. We went on a Wednesday around 10:30, the service was very slow, and my French toast was cold upon arrival. Not that pleasant to eat. Perhaps they were short staffed that day- we will go back again and give it another try.
Sat fast on a Monday Morning. Took a tad long to get menus. And then the waitress came back a tad later to take our drink order instead of taking it when she delivered our menus.
Tucked away off the main drag Arandas Care is definitely worth seeking out. Whether you're looking for a full breakfast or just a cup of coffee, your guaranteed not to be disappointed. The decor is a perfect combination of boho, beach, and mid century modern, seating inside and out, and the service is quick and to the point. The food is delicious, the coffee is perfect, & the staff is friendly. Make sure you make Arandas your next stop
It was a fabulous dining experience once the food got to us! Food took a bit long but overall was SUPER yummy! Some of the best chicken and waffles ive had in awhile! Definitely recommend if you're not in too much of a hurry and looking for a chill cafe atmosphere to have a nice brunch/lunch. ☺️
The breakfast items seem to be the highlight here. Everyone enjoyed their breakfast entrees. A few in the group ordered lunch items and they were decent. They were under seasoned, the fried chicken burger is very thick, so it's got to cook for awhile and dries out some. It would be great if they butterflied the chicken. I would return here for breakfast.
Cute brunch spot. Staff was outstanding and the food was good. Had the lavender latte and felt like there was too much lavender towards the end of the cup, but we will definitely be returning to try more items on the menu.
I am extremely disappointed, to say the least. Martha had served me a cappuccino that I normally get here, and it’s usually Fantastic. There was no love in my cup this time. No design. Nothing. When I had mentioned it to her as she served me, she stated that “it’s the other lady who does it, sorry.” No emotion. Just scoffed at the idea that presentation mattered. Other than that, everything was wonderful.
I was in search for breakfast place and drove around imperial and this place popped up in my Google so I decided to try it out. So delicious! So beautifully decorated. ! I would definitely come back and try more options. I will say though if you decide to dine outside be prepared to be bothered by numerous flies. They have a centerpiece in the middle of the tables to deter the flies. My child had the mini pancakes , bacon and scrambled eggs and a side of fruit. And I got the bacon and cheddar, egg croissant

Note to restaurant: Fruit parfaits should have vanilla or strawberry FLAVORED yogurt. Greek yogurt tastes like SOUR CREAM so you should really change that greek yogurt choice because the pound of granola and the sour cream taste coupled with MELON is just nasty. I couldn't muster through it and I left the entire thing but was not offered to have it taken off the bill, even after telling the waitress it was really disgusting. Our food and drinks came in a weird random order too which had a couple people pretty heated. We waited for a long time before We got a couple drinks. We waited a bit longer then two people got food and then 5.. 8ish minutes later the other two drinks for the first two who had food came out and then the other two peoples food came after the first two had finished theirs and they had just gotten their drinks. To top that adventure off, the waitress literally leaned over my cousins fiancé and had her whole chest in his face instead of coming around the table to hand out plates. I am not the jealous type to drag a chick over just doing her job but my cousin was ready to literally throw hands because she is the jealous type and it was kind of rude to reach across someone eating and not walk the extra three steps. In a nut shell the food we tried was not worth going back for a second try and that was the general consensus of the table.
Thought we would give it a try. Keep in mind it was cold and rainy. We sat inside so the conversation of other close-by patrons was distracting. Service not so good but they have been open only 2 months, so they need a break on that. The omlette looked good. Don't order the prime rib dip! The beef isn't prime rib or what you would expect from the menu description and there was a bone piece in my sandwich. The au gus wasn't, it seemed to be beef gravy served in a ramekin too small to dip into. We will take a break and return after the new-business kinks are worked out. We love to support local businesses.
Service was so poor that I rate it 3 stars. Waitress brought us wrong drinks (finally got right drinks after asking twice and waiting 10 more minutes), she bumped our table spilled some of our drinks said “oops” and walked away. We used our napkins to clean what we could. A lady came around (owner maybe) asked if we needed anything we asked for napkins (she never came back). Someone different came to check on us and we asked for check which took about 20 mins to get. The food was good but the poor service made it not worth it. The people seemed nice and the food is good and maybe it was an off day so I’ll re edit the post after a second visit some other time.
Very good food. My favorite is the smoked salmon toast with poached eggs. The decor is really cute too; however, the service is just terrible. There is no attention paid to the customers. Coffees and food come out one at a time and takes forever. If they would get their service cleaned up and working efficiently, this place would be awesome...
I ordered the Morning Portabella but they didn’t have it so I went with the Florentine Benedict. The eggs were cooked perfect however, the focaccia bread wasn’t toasted and was soft and mushy when I cut into it. The potatoes were not seasoned and also had a slight crunch to them, needed to be cooked longer. The Hollandaise sauce was very tangy, too much lemon juice. I also got a decaf Horchata latte which was overly sweet. The service and atmosphere were pleasant (except for the flies but I know that is something hard to control eating Al fresco). I would come back again to try something else on the menu, like maybe the avocado toast or pancakes…would like to give them another chance since it is a very cute restaurant.
It's ok food was average just not into them putting a $30 tip on the bill kinda outrageous waitress barely came by they give you a pitcher of water some plastic cups for you to serve yourself Definitely won't return
After our food was dropped off I was asked if I wanted more coffee and said yes. The coffee never came. Not once were we asked if we needed anything or how the food was. After we finished and waited a long while to get our check, I was again asked if I wanted more coffee. We waited a bit but still no more coffee so we decided to pay the check so I could catch breakfast at McDonald's. Food presentation was beautiful. The taste was not. I ate a few bites and pushed the rest aside. Not sure if it was bad or I just didn't care for it, but no one even bothered ask.
The food was good, prices were good. Service was horrendous. I dont leave many reviews and im not picky. It wasnt that busy, and it took forever for someone to take our order. Never checked up on, then took an hour to recieve our food. Over 90 minutes for a breakfast sit down.
I’m not one to leave bad reviews but we did not have a good experience here. We were standing outside for 15 minutes before someone even acknowledged us. Then it took 40 minutes for our food to come out and it was nothing special. No one came out to check on us or refill our water, we had to find them every time we needed something. Would not recommend.
I’ve always loved coming here. New waiter maybe? He got my order wrong, said he misunderstood. I ended up paying $10 more for a meal I didn’t order. Then he misunderstood me again and instead of bringing a box so I could take the rest of the meal to go, he threw it away. I barely ate a third of it. He seemed to struggle with hearing or English but it definitely left a bad impression of a place I’ve always enjoyed. Now I don’t want to return
I very seldom report poor experiences but with all the great reviews we were excited to try Arandas. After experiencing a very disappointing breakfast I wanted to share with others in case they want to consider a different option. We were seated quickly but waited 20+ to order. The food came approximately 1 hour later. I had the Monte Cristo Crepe, it was OK. My son had a bagel sandwich which he said was good. Over all, the service was terrible. Never brought water nor checked in on us. I noticed others sending back coffee for being cold. Hard to understand the better reviews based on our experience. Zero reason to return.

Ordered one Americano with one extra shot. What I was served was watered down coffee. Had to throw it away. Do not recommend buying any kind of Americano there. I do not take these reviews lightly but the Americano was horrible.
Absolute terrible service after sitting around we order our waters, coffee and food just for almost 20.minutes later still having received nothing just so the waitress to look at us and say you guys wanted water right. At that point we got up and walked out. Terrible customer service
Upon arrival, we waited to be seated and 3 employees passed by and not a greeting was said. My husband went in and said employees were talking and finally acknowledged him and said they’d be out. Again not a greeting. Then the waitress appeared (again no greeting), and said “I’ll seat you here.” Then we waited about 7 minutes for our drink order to be taken, at which point we asked to place our order. My daughter got the fruit bowl—pretty, but had pineapple core in it, and squishy blueberries past their prime. My husband got an egg scramble and toast. It was a skinny piece of dry toast—one piece. No butter. We asked for butter which they never brought over. I got the avocado toast. It was dry, cold and thin slice of toast. It lacked the flavor of lemon described in the menu. We both had to further season our food. If they’re trying to cut costs this was a pathetic attempt for something I paid $14 for. Our tiny water glasses were never filled. Our coffee was never filled. They never even checked on us until someone came to take our plates. My husband had to go in and pay because we never were brought a check. He said there was no one taking charge to manage the staff. The staff lacked any sort of training, willingness to work or hustle to be good at their job. They need training or to find a new job. I was incredibly disappointed. I have waited tables, worked front of house and in the kitchen of restaurants, this place has potential, but at this rate we won’t return nor will we recommend it to anyone. Quite the opposite.
Terrible experience at this “cafe.” Horrible service. The food was bland. The wait to get your food took almost an hour. The food was not brought out all at once. The portions are kid sized. Im allergic to dogs and had let the waiter know before she seated the guests by us meanwhile there was another side empty full of tables and instead of moving those guests she wanted us to move and continued to seat the guests by us. I do not recommend.
AWFUL EXPERIENCE they took 40 minutes to even tell us our food was about to come out, it never did.... they were panicking when i told then to cancel the order and only charge me for the drinks It cannot take that long for scrambled eggs and bacon First and last time never going back☺️
Came for breakfast. No one was there to sit us at first but the place was empty. We sat for almost 10mins and still hadn't even received water. She finally came out but by then, we were walking to the door. Just not a good way to get new patrons. Will never stop here again
My tias love this place and go very frequently. They like it so much that one of my tias decided to host her birthday there. Unfortunately, some of the staff was quite rude this time around. Despite having made a reservation, the staff seemed annoyed to be serving such a large party. Granted, we did ask if we could add a couple more seats to the original reservation, which we recognized is inconvenient last minute, but they agreed and we felt very grateful. We were mostly ignored throughout our time there. We didn’t take it personally at first since they were very busy and the younger server Camila was very nice and doing her best to deal with the rush. The other server (Carla I think) however, was very rude from the start. Constantly rolling her eyes or sighing whenever we asked for anything. Towards the end it seemed she stopped submitting our order altogether. One of our guests asked for coffee four times and we weren’t able to get anything until we asked a different person. It’s understandable that service can slow down when things get busy and we have no complaints against that. But the deliberate rudeness on that servers part really soured our experience.
I came here with my family and I waited an hour and 20 minutes for my pancakes. I asked the waitress if she knew what the status on my food and she said why don’t you go ask to cook and if you don’t like it go home and make your own food never come here again.
Twice I have been discriminated against. The first time I was next to be seated and a Mexican couple was seated right away. The second time a Asian couple was a head of us and again a Mexican family of three walked up and got on the list. As I sat I asked to confirm the wait time, and the greeter pointed to the Mexican family and said they are first and you are third. The Asian couple looked surprised that they were bumped. We left.
