Bru Burger Bar - Indy

I tend not to review chain restaurants, but I really enjoyed our meal at BRU Burger Bar. We had their Portobello Melt and Valencia salad. That had to be one of the best salads I've ever had. I will definitely go back the next time I'm in Indy.

We got the garlic three cheese burger with lettuce and tomato added with a side of fries. This was an amazing burger, juicy and plenty of flavor. The fries were actually really well done steak fries for a sit down location.

Very aesthetic restaurant located on Mass ave! Their specialty is based on burger. Although, they have other amazing food on their menu. We sat outside to eat and it was really nice out. The customer service was great. Can’t stress enough about their fries. It has great and crunchy taste. It comes with three different sauce which I haven’t tasted before. Definitely put that on your list when you go there. Overall quick and chill environment to eat with friends or family.

Bru Burger bar was a great place to have dinner with my team. They don't let you make reservations anymore so we just rolled in deep. They were able to accommodate us somehow. We came during devour week which had the $17 dollar special and it was definitely too much food for all of us. I really enjoyed the burger the most. It was actually really delicious and cooked well and evenly. The pretzel sticks actually tasted great and I ate a whole set myself. They have a very good selection of local and non local beers. If I come back to Indy, I want to stop by again.

A delicious lunch with great and prompt service! If you're in downtown this place is a must to check out! I highly recommend the garlic 3 cheese burger and don't forget the fries!

Fabulous Dog Friendly place to eat downtown!!! Dog bowls for water. I mean this place just needs a dog menu and it would be on fire!!! The service was great. The food was great. Chili cheese fries were yummy! They do have a gluten free menu also. The patio is really nice and clean. We loved it and will definitely be back when in town.

This was a great place to eat and hang out for a bit. The bartender was really helpful, and she was fun to talk with as well. The beer selection was pretty varied, and there were lots of burger choices. The option I picked was delicious. Each burger can be customized as you like, and I found out there is an option to get a smaller sized burger if you're interested. I'd definitely eat at this place again when in the mood for a solid burger.

The food was really good. The fries were the best part of the meal. I love the house made ketchup a lot. The patty melt burger was alright-- caramelized onions weren't really caramelized and knife cuts were inconsistent on the onion. Otherwise, good burger. The service was scary fast, our server was great. We were in an out in 20 minutes to head to a show next door.

If you are in the area, this is a must restaurant to try. It is worth the price and the walk. Best restaurant we try during our ndy visit. They have variety of beer and burgers and wings are delicious! The combination of flavors in the habanero salsa was amazing! Great customer service and nice outdoor ambience.

This location has indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered the Bourbon burger with onion rings. Came with homemade ketchup. The burger was good but the sauce made it hard to eat with hands. Onion rings were crispy and worth it as they tasted outstanding. Service was efficient thou a little slower for lunch time

Their food tested really well and the ambience was nice and calm. The waitress was friendly and helped us order from the menu. Will definitely recommend this place.

GREAT food! I got the Bison Burger and my wife got the double bacon and both were delicious. Our server did a good job and it was fun having a window seat on Mass Ave.

What a fabulous burger 🍔 place. My burger was Delicious or (As I like to say Delicioso 😋) the location atmosphere was hopping with good music. BUT, the service that LEAH my bartender provided was absolutely 💯% AWESOME! She was on point the whole time! This is a 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Location!

We had an awesome lunch here. The food was great, service was good, and the atmosphere was fun. Burgers were perfect, chicken was crispy and flavorful.

I just went here with my wife for my birthday this June 3rd 2019. I love coming to this place the atmosphere is great and the food is even better. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and also my server brought us a dessert to share which was very delicious and very very thoughtful. I'm sorry I did not catch her name but she brought us a pecan pudding bread white chocolate served very warm with caramel drizzle. It was delicious. Thank you so much 4 making our birthday dinner out together that much more special by bringing us the desert. I highly recommend the Brew fries, they are very delicious and crispy served with three different dipping sauces which make them all that more delicious. We also had the Sriracha salad with Crispy Chicken on top. I'm not much of a salad person so this is a lot coming for me it is very very delicious and I devour it. We had lunch on our way through town, service was swift, food was terrific and they had a great beer selection! Covered outdoor patio was really nice especially considering it rained hard while we were eating.

I had the Honey-Chipotle BBQ burger, and it was out of this world. The entire portion was very filling. The white cheddar was perfectly melted, and had bacon, and pulled pork in addition to the two smashed patties. The server was very pleasant, attentive and very helpful. The atmosphere was pleasant despite it being loud.

It's a burger bar combo that has chic and priced right. Ill start with a minor gripe, fans outdoors and your water tastes funny. Now on the business end of eating the burgers, they are delicious, they know what they are doing. Appetizers, the pretzels with mustard cheese... Yes. Child friendly...meh... They offer but let's be honest, not really their strong suit. Overall you will not be disappointed.

Right in the heart of Mass Ave, this restaurant has all the vibes of the city. Patrons from all walks of life gather for good times and great food. My husband is a vegetarian and loved finding the Impossible burger on the menu. The staff was a well-oiled machine: everyone was friendly, always held eye contact, and floated around taking care of orders with complete ease. We will definitely be back.

Great food and awesome patio with picturesque view of downtown. Gathered with a group of 6 and they took great care of us. Would definitely go back next time my travels take me to Indianapolis. Stellar burgers, great salads. Fries were perfect. No complaints. 😀

Loved my appetizer order. Delicious and good portioned food. Vegetarian burgers were very tasty. Staff was friendly.Though the place was a little over crowded, it was comfortable enough. One of the few places I like in Indy downtown

What a gem Bru Burger is. Went for the first time for lunch and got the black and bleu double smash burger and it was just perfect. The gorgonzola cheese was a unique and delicious touch, and the patties were excellently cooked. The fries were absolutely outstanding and perfectly seasoned, and the house ranch and “ketchup” (not sure if it was ketchup or just a tomato-based sauce) were delicious. Our server Nathan was a breath of fresh air. He was amazingly personable, and all the staff really seemed to love what they do. The atmosphere was so comfortable and welcoming, and I will definitely be visiting again next time I’m in the Indy area.

I had a bad experience once at a Bru Burger, this location and its team are a completely different story. Everyone was so welcoming and hospitable. It even came out in the other patrons as well. I met a friend here who I hadn’t seen in years. The ambience, the atmosphere, the service and the food really were 5 star. I can’t say enough about how wonderful it was. Thank you to the entire team for such a great job. It was awesome.

100% family friendly. Best staff with the utmost positive attitudes! Megan (server) is the absolute kindest person. Give that girl a bonus! Dee (manager FOH) is just so effective, relatable, and genuine. Please support her growth! The food/ drinks are wonderful. Pros- consistent, amazing staff, great food, easy with baby. Cons- no changing table in the in house bathrooms. Thank you for the next service!

Well suited location. Great drink selection and fun burgers to try. I had the triple cheese garlic burger and I am glad that my husband likes garlic too or else he might not have kissed me for the rest of the evening! Totally delicious!

Needed a quick but satisfying bite; hotel recommended BRU burger. Here’s my take: Overall not bad. The flavours of the burger and the fries made for an enjoyable meal. The burger: I don’t typically like anything more than a simple burger, but the flavours of the Stilton blue cheese burger actually worked quite well. But the burger at the end of the day is about the patty. Good: It was not overly or densely packed, was light and and juicy enough. Not so good: this type of burger could have benefited from a more substantial patty with more of a house made feel, rather than very uniform looking “manufactured” feel. Also, if you ask customers how they like their burgers cooked, please cook it that way or don’t ask. Mine was more well done than medium. Sides: tried the slaw, chilli and fries. Not really my favorite burgers but they are a good option, I think the fries are good but I don’t like the ketchup from here it has a weird spicy taste, you can ask for an egg on the burguer and choose the point of it as well from the meat, I think the good think about bru burger is tha you have a lot of options, i didn’t like that it felt a little rush on the service since the ask for the tickets kind of quick and I think it’s something weird from a restaurant, don’t get me wrong the service was great. Also really clean bathrooms

Out with my husband and daughter….I ordered the hot chicken sandwich with onion rings, my daughter ordered chicken tenders with fries, and my husband ordered the bacon burger with fries. I also had a margarita. I enjoyed the burger, I thought the chicken sandwich was okay, the fries were very good and the onions would have been excellent but mine were soggy. We were able to sit outside and it was beautiful. Overall, I would go back.

I learned that I substitute Turkey for any of the burgers. Even though they only had one turkey burger named. That was pretty cool since I don't eat beef. The fries were quite tasty and I love their homemade ketchup. Our waitress was attentive and quite nice.

Great burger. Buns were excellent. I wish there was a little more flavoring in the meat itself. The bleu burger was great. Onion rings look awesome, but there is some much breeding compared to onion. Service was great. Location is nice. Very fun atmosphere. Clean.

Good food and great cocktails, easy location. It was busy and service was super nice but took a while to get sat and served. If you have time to sit for a bit it’s worth the stop. Almost perfect fries 👌🏼👌🏼and the ketchup was great

While visiting Indy we were told about some nice places to eat on Mass Avenue. We decided on Bru Burger because we had one person in our party that’s vegan and they had a nice vegan sandwich option. However the vegan sandwich was messy and bland according to the person in our party that tried it. They couldn’t even finish the sandwich. The waiter we had as well disappeared and turned our meal into a two hour venture that we wish we had back. The atmosphere was nice and the staff was friendly, just our waiter rarely came to check on us and refill our drinks...that’s the only reason for 4 stars.

My family & I were in town for the Colts vs Dolphins game. We asked if a place to watch other & it was my first time hearing about & trying the place. The atmosphere was cool & the service was amazing. As far as the food, I ordered the bourbon burger & was disappointed. However, my family enjoyed theirs for the most part.

Leah was, as always, exceptional. I visit this location once a year, and she has been a consistent and welcoming presence each time. I typically order the Chipotle BBQ Nachos, which have always been a highlight of my visit. However, on this occasion, the experience fell short. It appears the BBQ sauce has been changed, and unfortunately, the new version is mediocre at best. Why alter a signature item that was so well-loved? If the change was made to cut costs, I urge you to reconsider. Loyal guests appreciate consistency and quality — please listen to our feedback. Bring back the original BBQ sauce.

It’s a nice restaurant if you like mediocrity. The food is okay at best. The drinks are subpar, I’d rate them below a wings place. The atmosphere is so, so. Ultimately this place is a forgettable as a chain restaurant. I wouldn’t recommend it, we came here after a gymnastics competition and honestly I should have just gone to Burger King.

Mac and cheese app was incredible. Had the pulled pork and Nashville hot chicken for entrees - wasn’t super impressed to be honest. The pulled pork sandwich was mostly coleslaw, while the Nashville hot chicken was overly fried. The entrees were just okay, I guess I was expecting to be blown away by the food!

Sadly, the Provençal is no more and without explanation. This used to be their signature burger and it was outstanding. I’m disappointed to see that this item was removed. The Cunningham coaster gives it away, a move to a chain experience without the differentiation that made them great. Sad.

Smh Giving the wrong email ——- My 2nd time having a bad experience, I placed an order on DoorDash I am vegan so I order the impossible for me and my partner. We know our food was contaminated with either dairy or animal products until today after 2 days of being sick after we ate our food that night we started feeling better of our stomach. If offering vegan food , cooks need to be careful on the request on how vegan food is prepared. We spent $50 to get sick , but never again . Even though the previous times the burgers were made correct but this time they did not !!!
