Salt on Mass

Everything was exceptionally perfect last night. The food was brilliantly prepared, the drinks were beautifully crafted and the service was nothing less than excellent. Hannah our waitress was refreshingly warm, genuine and honestly the kind of person the world needs more of. We enjoyed the pan seared scallops with the Parmesan risotto with lobster and the taco trio. We had 1/2 dozen oysters for an appetizer and it was perfect! I love that the oysters are naturally sourced and not farm raised. Those unnecessarily large oysters are not the same IMO. We enjoyed the shoreline fizz, the breezy, the dew of the sea and a lemon drop martini. All beautiful. Dessert we had the crepe brûlée and berries and cream. It was perfect! Can’t remember why we waited so long to try Salt on Mass but so happy we finally did. We are now loyal!

Alyssa was an absolute doll and made our 5th wedding anniversary dinner so special! This place is beautiful and always full of the best staff!! Could not recommend this place more!!!! We love it!

Had a fantastic birthday dinner for one of my closest friends. Food, atmosphere, drinks, and service we're next level. Kayla was amazing and super helpful. Everything thing we ordered was 5+ stars. Looking forward to our next visit.

Chris was such a fun waiter. He made us feel at ease. He provided drink recommendations to fit the meal and made sure to answer all of our questions. Our last minute stop at Salt on Mass was such an unexpected treat. Perfect dinner before catching a show. Can't wait to come back here.

This was our first time dining at Salt, and we had such an incredible experience — largely thanks to our waiter, Brandon. From the moment we walked in, he was attentive, welcoming, and genuinely kind. Since it was both of our first visits, he took the time to walk us through the menu, offer thoughtful recommendations, and make sure we were enjoying every moment. You can truly tell he cares about the experience he provides. It’s been years since I’ve had service this exceptional. Salt is so lucky to have someone like Brandon on their team. I can’t wait to come back, and I sincerely hope we get him again. Thank you, Brandon, for making our night so special — best service I’ve had in years. Keep shining!

This place is soooo good! The vibes are awesome. The food is probably the best in Indiana. Our server, Hannah, made our anniversary dinner 10 times better! She recommended us the food we’d really like and was considerate of our requirements of no alcohol to be used in the food. We ordered: the crab cakes as sides. They were very filling and tasteful. The Parmesan crusted Chillean sea bass with lobster risotto and the pan seared scallops also with the lobster risotto. Mind blowing food!! And for dessert we got the 6-layer chocolate cake and boyyyy it was a chocolate heaven❤️ Will definitely come back for celebrating all our anniversaries and birthdays here. Again, special shoutout to Hannah for making our dinner special.

Talk about fresh! This was amazing! The surf and turf app was on point! The bread and bread fire! Talk about amazing service Brandon was friendly and knew the menu with excellent recommendations! The old fashioned perfect not to heavy on the bitters! The steak was cooked to perfection! The lobster tail was juicy tender and full of flavor one of the best lobster tails I have had in a long time and it was a large size! The cheesecake omg talk about the best just wonderful flavor! If you want fresh seafood this is the spot to be.

Amazing surf food!! Loved the bread & honey butter, Chilean Sae Bass & lobster risotto. Great service & beautiful modern sea decor/atmosphere. Definitely going back! Highly recommend!

My husband Brett and I dined here a few days ago. Everything was amazing! The food could have been a 0 out of 10, but still would give this restaurant a 10 because of our server. Hannah (spelled the same backwards) was the best part of the whole experience. My husband and I own a couple of restaurants and we know how hard it is to find great help. Hannah is 100% a keeper! For the record, the food was also a 10. We will be back.

Amazing atmosphere and service. Abby is great at making & recommending drinks! Food was out of this world you must try the Chilean sea bass. Best fish I’ve had in Indy.

I had dinner with my wife for my birthday. Mika, our server, was incredibly kind, and the apple cider margarita she recommended really whetted my appetite. And every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious.

We were splurging for a date night. Brandon recommended we add poke to the seafood appetizer, which was perfect. We took our time enjoying appetizer, entree, dessert, and drinks. Scallops and Sable fish were both delicious with choice of side and sauce. Brandon was ready with recommendations. We were not in a hurry, and he appropriately checked in. We did not feel rushed, and the food was worth the expense. The only downside was the noise. It was difficult to have a conversation with a wide table and loud music. Definitely plan ahead for parking and reservations so you can enjoy a relaxing meal.

We came tonight to celebrate our anniversary and we come here every year from out of town because the food, service and ambiance are amazing! We were so lucky to have Brielle as our server. She gave amazing recommendations and even comped us nonalcoholic champagne to celebrate! The food is out of this world and so fresh and flavorful. There’s no place like Salt on Mass. This place is truly amazing and we left very happy and in a food coma!

First time visiting Salt…Rose’s service was exceptional. Great recommendations on drinks, apps and choices. Highly recommend filet, lobster bisque, and sea bass. Will be back…

First time to Salt and will definitely come back! I tried the Today's featured catch, a fresh fish from hawaii. The fish and scallops were cooked perfectly and all the flavors were amazing!!! And we appreciated the GF dessert options! Our server was so sweet and on it. We really enjoyed our dining experience here!

5 star ALL around. Great drink selection. Food was well created & presented. Everyone in our party was satisfied. Our server was AMAZING. Our deserts are arriving soon. Free churro cake on your birthday.

The food was great, from start to finish. Audrey gave great service and excellent recommendations. My only ask would be a bit of extra salt on the entrees but that was a small part of the overall wonderful experience.

Food was unbelievable….in a great way. Service was even better. Our amazing server Lauren had great recommendations which we all followed and everyone was pleased. Service was quick and pleasant. Will be back next time we’re in town.

Our server, Nami was so fantastically attentive, informative, and kind. We split multiple dishes: Artichoke crab pot, the Tomato watermelon salad, red snapper special w crab oscar w lemon cream sauce and garlic broccolini, lobster bisque, hummingbird cake, and a birthday cheesecake. 15/10. Can not give enough praises.

It was my first visit to Salt with my girlfriend. Our waiter was Brandon and he made the experience so wonderful!! He was charming and charismatic and even though he was busy with a party, he really made my very first experience so enjoyable and made sure we had plenty of attention and were served in a timely manner and efficiently. Also the bartender Abby came over to take our order which I felt was an amazing show of teamwork and helped me with a drink when I didnt like mine with no questions asked. Such an amazing first experience in a restaurant and I will ABSOLUTELY be back simply because of those employees.

We had a business dinner here on a Monday evening. Lauren was absolutely fantastic!! She was attentive and gave us fantastic suggestions on the menu. I had the Chilean sea bass with risotto, and my coworkers had the sable and the halibut and I tasted both and equally as good. Also best dirty martini I’ve ever had!

This place is awesome! My boyfriend and I went on a date for Valentine’s Day and had never been here before but we will definitely be back! The food was delicious and it was a great atmosphere! Our server Mikka was super sweet and attentive and we received great service! Definitely recommend it!

Wow! My dinner at Salt on Mass was absolutely fantastic. The food was really really good — every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. From the seafood to the rich entrees and even dessert, everything tasted amazing and left us wanting more. People rave about how delicious the food and drinks are here, and I totally agree! And the service? 👏 Lauren was the best server! She was attentive, friendly, and made our whole experience even better. Her recommendations and great service really made the night special. Lauren was so amazing! She was so helpful, polite and caring. Definitely took care of all our needs. Over and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Checked on us multiple time and we never felt bothered. She made the dining experience a dream. Bonus our twins loved her too! We celebrated a special birthday with two delicious entrees, the Chilean Sea Bass and the Monk Fish Crab Oscar. Chris, our server reccomended a bottle of wine, La Crema Chardonnay, which was a pared perfectly. The espresso martinis were amazing as well. 🩷 We enjoyed Chris' top notch service and his great personality!! Our dining experience ended with a complimentary slice of red velvet cake in honor of the Birthday we were celebrating. Great food and customer service, and highly recommended.

We came here on a Saturday evening and both the food and service were great. The hummus, house bread, sea bass and scallops were all delicious. Our server Brandon was amazing!! He was extremely attentive and helpful with providing recommendations. Would definitely come back.

Mikka was great! She was so kind and genuine! Not only that but she knew the menu well and gave awesome recommendations. We came on valentines day and although it was very busy they got us through quickly and with great service. Also, we loved the forks!

The food was amazing. My wife ordered the Seabass and it was one of the best dishes I've ever tasted. My shrimp and grits were a 9/10. Our server, Brandon was excellent. Informative and fun. We will be back 100%. Very reasonably priced for the quality of food.

Lauren was an amazing waitress. She really showed how much she loves what she does and made our dining experience spectacular! We came in with a group of nine and she had us wined and dined while having a fantastic time. Food was 10/10 service 10/10 thank you for accommodating us on a Friday night!

Salt is amazing! Everything we ate was really good, I especially liked the appetizers. We went in with a reservation for 4, but had 5 friends join us last minute and they accommodated us no problem. We felt instantly welcomed. Our server Lauren killed it. She gave us great recommendations on the menu. I'll be recommending salt to anyone coming to Indy.

Had reservations for my birthday dinner at St. Elmo steak house last weekend but then my girl suggested we try a new restaurant on mass Ave so ended up at Salt. Ambience was nice, service was good and restaurant was clean. Server was talented and helped us choose a great winem Started with fried oysters and crab cakes. Crab cakes were decent as crab was fresh and fried oysters were just like fried batter. So tiny and crispy that it was hard to taste oyster in the bite.(i did ask if they would be tiny before ordering and was told no) Had Bone in Ribeye for mains. I was excited for it but all the excitement was sucked away when the best part of a bone in ribeye, the fat-cap was chewy and non edible, the best part of a ribeye had to be discarded😣The temperature of the whole steak was uneven. The steak looked fantastic, ohh so beautiful to look at, but was not at all worth it. We were timebound and had to be somewhere after dinner otherwise I would have asked for a replacement but did not have the time to sit 30 min more nor had the confidence that they could cook the next one perfect with proper rendering of the fat cap and an even cook on an entire bone in thick piece of ribeye. Tried getting a hang of manager over the phone next 2 days but was not successful. Dunno if I'll visit the place again. I was really excited to try this new restaurant on my birthday was was such a let down😓
