Excellent food and service! Reasonable prices! Pleasant dining experience! Definitely recommend!

We had lobster mac and cheese and Lobster poutine. The food was very good and the portions were big we could not eat it all. Dave was our server and he did an awesome job. We will be back.

Went here on Monday and it was great! Our waiter, Alex, was very nice, knowledgeable. We got the crab cakes for starters and they were light and fluffy. For an entree we got the seafood alfredo and Cajun chicken pasta and they were both great; the portions are plentiful, as we both couldn’t finish. The deep fried chocolate chip cookie dough sundae was to die for. I highly recommend!!

Stopped in here after visiting the tulip field down the street. The food was "ok", nothing incredible. The drinks were also ok. The best part? The service. Our bartender was just the nicest, that was worth the entire trip there.

Such a great experience last night at Fox Creek Tavern! I had seen it posted in a foodie Facebook group so many times that I knew I had to try it for myself! Beautiful outdoor patio, amazing service, and even better food! I made a reservation over the phone for two originally but a last minute change made us a party of four. They were able to accommodate us and we sat right away! Our server was very friendly and super attentive (I feel bad I'm blanking on her name!!!). On to the food: First, the drinks were delicious and there were so many to choose from (I'd be lying if I said I hadn't been stalking their Facebook page for a few days because of how good the drinks looked 😁), but I had to try the Rum Bucket of course! It was huge! My friend's got the Sangria, Blueberry Margarita, and the Espresso Martini and all loved them as well. Next the food menu! So many great options and another very very difficult decision! We started with the Spinach and Artichoke Dip and the Seared Day Boat Scallops (sorry no photos!). Both were delicious!!! The dip was served with bread for dipping AND it was served in a bread bowl! Yum! And the scallops were to die for! For our meals we ordered (clockwise from top left) the Salmon Tacos, Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, Buffalo Chicken Flatbread, and Fried Fish Tacos. First of all, check out the portions! So big! No one had a single complaint about their food except for the fact that we were all so full and couldn't devour them all. 😂 The fish tacos were some of the best I have had! And the fries were hot and crispy! No one left last night disappointed and leftovers will be consumed today (if they weren't already last night after getting home 😂)! We will definitely be back!

Solid food and beers menu. Loved sitting in comfy chairs instead of the usual chairs the encourage you to get lost more than stay and enjoy another beer. Everything we ordered was too quality and service was excellent, provided with a smile, and fast.

My friend and I ate here after golfing in Essex and it was awesome. The atmosphere was great and the food was even better. The interior was spacious and there was an outdoor seating patio as well. I would highly recommend a stop in!

Fox Creek is my go to spot in Ipswich. Food is good, and the staff is great. I am always greeted with a warm smile. The brunch on Sunday mornings are always huge and delicious. I usually get the veggie omelet or whatever Charlie's special is, and my son always gets the breakfast flatbread. Tuesday fajita deal can't be beat, but neither can the all you can eat steak tips on Thursday nights. Charlie(manager) goes out of his way to say hi to me and my son. They will even at times, customize my son's meal because he tends to be a picky eater. Ali, Alex, Amanda, and Macailen are some of the friendliest bartenders around! If you want to unwind for a few and enjoy some food and drinks, Fox Creek is a solid place to do so.

We use this as a meeting point with coworkers and it has become one of our favorite spots. The drinks are absolutely top tier and the food is hot fresh and delicious Everytime. We love trivia nights on Thursdays as well. This place is a must try if you are in the area!

Best experience! I had a lovely dinner at the bar with Mackailen. The chicken kabob was incredible. And to finish, had a limoncello cake with a martini. I will be back for sure. Charlie was a sweetheart.

I've driven by here countless times and finally gave it a try Monday night and wow I'm happy I did. The menu is huge and everything that was going out looked great, we ended up getting the nachos and the bang bang shrimp which was the bartenders suggestion and both were delicious. The bartender Amanda was very friendly and made good bar chat and made one of the best espresso martinis I ever had, never would I expect a place like this to put out such great food, great drinks and such a friendly cozy vibe. Truly a hidden gem!

I can't say enough about one of your bartenders Amanda. She is so Intuned to the customers! When I come in and she is there I know that I will be taken care of and be able to just relax in these challenging times. You are so fortunate to have her as part of a critical part of your staff! Some of the best food in Ipswich. The Bartenders Amanda, Allie, and Mckailyn are very friendly and attentive. I don't drink so i can't speak for the cocktails but the food especially the specials which they have almost every day are excellent.

Was in town for work and had the pleasure of being served by Amanda. She was friendly, fast, and makes you feel like a regular even if it’s your first time. The kind of bartender that makes you forget there’s anywhere else to go. I’ll definitely be back.

Had such an amazing time here while visiting from out of town with my partner. We usually don’t sit at the bar when dining out, but this time it paid off because our bartender Amanda was so helpful and made the best Gin and Tonic I’ve ever had. We’ll be back anytime we are in the area again!

Good staff, good environment. We were attended fast, and the seating was comfortable and felt private. The food (all 6 things we ordered) was amazing. The plates were big enough that no one finished eating. The soup was small, but the server told us that beforehand so we ordered more things (it was really good though). Overall it was amazing, I wish it was closer to where I live! 10/10 would recommend.

Stopped by for dinner with my family. Overall, the server was fantastic, food came out promptly and was decent. The salmon was very undercooked (raw), but they quickly made things right and were very attentive. While we stopped there during traveling, I would go back again.

My husband and I popped in on Monday for a quick bite to eat after doing way too many errands… We were both starving. I had the fig and pig flatbread, which was delicious(fig, prosciutto and arugula are the best combination). My husband had the steak fajitas. Talk about dinner and a show!! The smoke, the sizzle and that intoxicating scent. Amanda was attentive, but not intrusive and made our experience that much better. We will definitely be back!!!

Really good pretzel bites and cheese. The buff dip didn’t taste like buffalo and just tasted like shredded chicken. The chips were stale too. But loved everything else.

I was hoping this place would be fantastic but It was trying to be at a level that just misses the mark. It looks great from the outside and has all the elements of being a slightly upscale restaurant. We came as a party of 2 and were promptly seated in a packed evening (ok, great so far). Then seated at a round table that seemed makeshift, and in a dark area. When asked if the sconces on the wall worked, the waitress had no clue and didnt ask someone. She even said they might be decorative! Anyways, they had a small salad bar which was included with our meals. It was adequately stocked with most things but had a bizarre setup where you'd get you plate from a separate dressing station that had salad toppings (croutons, bacon bits etc) and the bread and butter. And then you had to awkwardly move around people to get to the salad bar only to go back to the dressings again. We started if with the charcuterie plate with local meats and cheeses that were good but not amazing. Next our entrees arrived 30 seconds later and our table was over packed. The food was good though. The steak was cooked perfectly to med rare. I'm a little wary if places still sprinkling a garnish of parsley on stuff. I would go back and see if some things have changed since they had just recently opened (1 month?) And have the kinks worked out

Good American food. Good selection of local beers. A great place to go, nice to see a restraunt so lively even during corona. Will be back.

A new mocktail drink menu is now featured however with some interesting drinks on it.we tried the new Canadian Winter... Interesting taste, heavy on the maple syrup which leaves a weird taste on the taste buds that just lingers. Will try others next time. The food menu has been the same for a while. It needs a refresh or some new specials. The menus themselves are becoming harder and harder to read as the ink/toner has begun to fade. Still a restaurant on our regular rotation. If you haven't been, a must try. Get the Irish Nachos to start...

They took some items off the menu. The sliders and the rangoon. The Rubin was Okay the seafood alfredo was good with lots of seafood. Onion rings are great.

Went here with my family. Had the Blackened Swordfish, and shared some Buffalo Chicken Tenders. Food and service was good, but the server seemed a bit green.

We went for the first time last night. You can eat in the bar area or dining room. We chose the bar as the lighting was softer but there is a very nice fireplace in the dining room. We probably should have sat there as the restaurant is FREEZING! We, along with most patrons we saw in the bar, ate with their coats and hats on. Not sure what the issue is as the waitress said the heat was up as far as it could be? They have 2 splitters but they are not doing the job. It just takes away from the experience when you are eating and it is so uncomfortably cold. The bathroom was literally like being outside. For this reason, we would not return which is unfortunate. The food was pretty good and our cocktails were great! I had the holiday bowl which was very, very good. Our waitress was also very personable and attentive and the host was also very sweet. We expressed the coldness to him and he was very apologetic but honestly, what could he do? The heating system should be addressed for a more comfortable experience.

Good atmosphere & good staff but the food was just okay. I had fish & chips and it was a bit bland and underseasoned. My wife had the french onion soup which was pretty good, but not great. The bartender did make my sweetie a Thin Mint Martini, which she loved. A salad bar came with my meal and it was fresh and well done. Prices were quite reasonable, but there are better tasting venues in Ipswich.

Pros: loved our waiter (attentive, kind, efficient), nice outdoor seating Cons: low quality food, the kitchen messed up my dinner order (no big deal) but the way the manager reacted and then dealt with it was very rude. He practically rolled his eyes. No apologies, no checking back to make sure everything was ok the second time around. Overall, a wasted $150. Won’t be back.

This is a take out review. The inside of this place looked great and obvious care went into the design and atmosphere. Phone doesn’t get answered so we used TOAST and I picked up inside on time. The charcuterie was stale and inedible. Pancetta should be cut thin and kept chilled. This stuff was thick as bologna and had been out long enough to be hard on the ends. Some of the cheese had obviously been cut ages ago as it was rock hard most the way through. The buffalo cauliflower was cut way too big. This dish is not just cauliflower with sauce and that is what we were given. The twenty three dollar haddock was dry and served with unseasoned mashed potatoes. And the burger?!?! Maybe you guys could argue that I picked it up late except clearly the burger was on the grill for less than 30 seconds

Use to love this place but it’s definitely gone downhill since switching management a year ago. We use to come here specifically for the fun, delicious and unique cocktails which they don’t seem to do anymore. The drink menu isn’t anything special anymore, just your average drink menu. Food is average and that’s being generous. Everything inside looks run down and old. The host/guy who’s at the front door (who we found out is the new manager) always seems bothered and unfriendly. Unfortunately we won’t be coming back anymore.

I never like to leave negative reviews because of karma however the new owner at fox creek tavern who came over and laughed at me and my girlfriends when we had a coupon hit a new low. If he respectfully said this is expired or was even a little bit kind I would have understood. On top of it last time my sister and her husband went in they had a piece of glass in their food where the new owner snarked at them as well. Food has gone way downhill and the new owner is rude and unprofessional. I’ll never go back!

Food was poorly portioned, I got the fajitas and the steak was chewy and the actually meat and cooked veggies where a small skillet meanwhile they gave an excessive amount of tipping to the point of being wasteful. I could of fill all 4 tortillas with cheese and still had some left, the tortilla felt like they sat out and got microwaves they where tough. My partner got the shrimp "kabobs" for 25 dollars and it was litterally 2 sticks with 3 shrimp each no veggies or anything else o. Them place on what felt like a whole bag of rice.
