Excellent Service, Food, atmosphere!!! The drinks, appetizers, and entrees were so delicious. They were really busy but still gave amazing service and the Lobster Cobb Salad was Amazing!!! Save room for dessert! They all looked so good but the Oreo dessert was to die for!
Long wait but the food was great and so were the views. I got the baked haddock (delicious) and my husband got the cioppino five fish dinner 🤌🏻
We were lucky and got a quick table! Nice view! Great food! Thank you for the service! We love the shrimp tacos and the fishermans plate! So filling! I also had the lobster roll before and it’s amazing!
Amazing spot. Easily one of the best restaurants in my New England. Amber was top notch as our server. Clams, chowder, salmon and lemon pasta all delicious. Hats off to the chef and entire team working your butts off!
Amazing! The server was a delight and the outdoor ambience added to the sea fair. Oysters on the half shell were refreshing and the lobster Devine! Can you tell my experience was heavenly! Must go and taste and see for yourself!
Honestly not a long wait at all. As you would expect. Our Server Fabio was phenomenal abrigado. The food here tasted fresh and full of flavor. I surprisingly couldn’t finish everything and had enough to take home I will be coming back for sure.
Everyone is friendly, the service is incredible and the food is amazing. We started at the bar as we waited for a deck table. The drinks are generous and affordable. Once seated our server was with us and provided a great experience. We started with the fried clams-delicious, some of the best I’ve ever had and I grew up on the Cape! We had steamed lobster and the ciopinno. I highly recommend Seaport Grille.
Due to recent surgery we were unable to go to a restaurant on Valentine's evening, so we ordered a takeout meal from seaport grille. We ordered a Tuscan pan seared scallop appetizer that was to die for!!!! We also ordered a strawberry spinach salad that was excellent! Crisp and fresh with a delightful dressing. We also ordered the filet au pouve, medium rare. It was cooked perfectly! Melted in your mouth. Was not a fan of the mashed potatoes or the brussel sprout side dishes. We also ordered a lobster risotto with pan seared scallops. Again the scallops were fantastic!!!. And there was ample lobster in the risotto. Way more risotto then 1 person could eat. And for dessert we got the key lime pie which was enough to serve four people! Overall I would give it a 4.8. And would prefer smaller portions and a lower price.
we stopped there while on vacation. Good place to eat. View from inside was good of the harbor. Didn't get to sit on the patio, since it was lunch time. EXCELLENT service, waitress took time to tell us about the items on the menu. wife had Lazy Mans Lobster Bake, I had Seared Scallops on a bed of Lobster Risotto. Appetizer of Calamari.
Good food and service. We went for dinner and had the filet mignon and macaroni with pulled pork. Portions are big. For dessert we had the coconut cake which was delicious. Server was really nice. Plenty of parking.
Food was good. Portions were HUGE. We got 1 dessert and split it and still had to bring extra home. Great place to watch the game while enjoying a good meal.
A tiny wait but that made me excited to give it a try. Packed in a Thursday!!!! Did not disappoint. The clam chowder was excellent as was the fried fish plate. Took my dessert to go but it looks delicious. Will visit again in my return trip to Gloucester.
Delicious seafood. The Lobster bisque was tasty. It had about 5 lobster pieces in it. I didn't like the pieces of bacon in it, though. I never had it with bacon before. The Chilean Bass was amazingly delicious. The same as the Trio 3 baked- casserole?Scallops, Shrimp & Haddock. Delicious.
Great food and atmosphere. The ingredients are fresh. The chips were the best part of the fish and chips. Good salads. The fish tacos were basic and missed a bit on flavor but maybe that’s a New England thing / preference.
Wife and I went for dinner, i had 12 oysters and she had 6. They were perfectly shucked and tasted delicious! For dinner, I had the lobster and my wife had lobster risotto w/ scallops. They tasted as good as they looked! Will be coming back.
This location offers a truly stunning ambiance, especially in the evening. The atmosphere creates a perfect backdrop for a celebratory dinner. The service provided was exceptional, attentive, and efficient. The meal itself was delicious and satisfying. It sounds like a memorable birthday experience. Thanks to server Adam
We stopped in for early dinner. The place was already busy but they are very efficient. Wait time was minimal. Food was excellent and our server luiz was amazing. Very friendly and made awesome recommendations on the menu. Definitely recommend
We had lunch and service and food was amazing! You better go hungry!!! You definitely get large proportions!
This restaurant was our favorite of the whole trip Large portions (2 meals in each entree) cooked to perfection. Service was top-notch and the vibe was great, being sea-side. Great views. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area.
Absolutely perfect New England seafood classics. Lobster roll and Cole slaw were fantastic. Chowder came out promptly and the pace of food was just right. Service by Louie was outstanding. Drinks topped off and a friendly vibe. Good view. Next to a working port. Don't miss this place.
This restaurant was a wonderful surprise! The food was fantastic! Delicious and generous. The manager (not sure if she was the owner) was a fantastic host! Made sure to go to different tables and ask about the experience. Somwthing we dont see anymore...a great personal touch. I recommend this restaurant to everyone!
Seaport Grille is where we celebrate every milestone, and it never lets us down. I've been in my house recovering from ankle surgery and I needed to get out of the house and get some fresh air. I was nervous about going to lunch with my scooter and concerns about the accessibility but my husband persuaded me to go. The team, especially our waitress Sofia and another staff (I dont remember her name :( but she was a brunette with short hair and a welcoming smile ), went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and calm. The food was, as usual, spectacular. The lobster ravioli came loaded with generous chunks of sweet lobster, and the bang bang shrimp was piled high, an impressive amount of shrimp for the price. Rich flavors, perfect textures, and great value all in one meal. Consistently delicious dishes and genuinely caring service keep us coming back for every special occasion. Highly recommend!
We had the best time as a group of friends here. I really enjoyed the salmon and both of my friends had the baked haddock and they loved those too. Fabio was a great server. Minor suggestion about large long table which could be divided into two during busy hours through the use of a divider. Thank you very much!
We love this place! Best seafood in the North Shore❤️ Lobster Ravioli is the best dish for me, and Chopino is the favorite for my husband☺️
**Rating: 5/5** We recently dined at Seaport Grille, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! The restaurant's waterfront location adds a special ambiance, especially for an evening meal. The interior and views from the terrace are simply stunning. But the highlight was, of course, the food. We tried the freshest oysters and a lobster roll, and they were incredible! Every dish was perfectly prepared, and the portions were generous. I also want to mention the attentive and friendly service — the staff was very welcoming and helped us choose the best dishes. The prices are justified by the quality, and we will definitely be coming back. If you're looking for a place to enjoy excellent seafood with a beautiful view, Seaport Grille is the place to go!
Such a great experience! Highly recommend! From se5voce to food to ambience, it fits not disappoint!
Absolutely loved this place, did not disappoint. Out server Stefanie was very nice, prompt, friendly, and accommodating. Loved her! Great knowledge of the food and drinks. The portions were pretty generous and this place did not skimp out on the seafood. We ordered the lobster roll and it had more meat than slaw which was wonderful when you're on the hunt for a good lobster roll on the east coast! The margaritas were absolutely huge! (They were the three in with the blue background on the drink menu- absolutely tasty!). We came in on Tuesday around 2pm and were able to be promptly seated outside without a wait! Bathrooms were spacious and clean. There was plenty of hassle free parking. 10/10 would recommend and return.
This restaurant serves large portions of fantastic food and excellent non-alcoholic mixed drinks. I ordered the special, which was shrimp, scallops and swordfish in pasta with cream sauce. I was pleasantly surprised with how much seafood was mixed in the pasta dish. Normally you are lucky if you get five shrimp and one scallop. This dish came with tons of shrimp, scallops and chunks of swordfish. This was definitely the best seafood pasta dish I've ever had. My husband ordered the short rib, which was very tender and flavorful. The desserts are also large. We got the key lime pie, which ended up being an entire small pie instead of just a slice! We took home lots of leftovers including half of the dessert. Our server was named Fabio and he was enthusiastic and gave us good advice on the best dishes to order. I highly recommend this restaurant. My only regret is that I wish I lived closer to Gloucester, I would eat here more often.
I had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Seaport Grill in Gloucester. The service was spectacular! Carla and the Amber were amazing, going above and beyond to ensure we had a great time and sat all together to celebrate my daddy’s birthday. The food was not only delicious but also served in generous portions. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for excellent food and outstanding service! We will be definitely coming back!
Traveled here from Canada, was blown away with the food, honestly it may be hard to ever beat. Had the crab cakes to start, 10/10, with 8 oz sirloin and lobster pie as a side, it would absolutely be my last meal if I was ever on death row. Great atmosphere, stellar cocktails and out of this world meal.
First time here! I don't eat seafood, but my bf LOVES it, so I was a little nervous. But I didn't need to be! There were plenty of other dishes available. The atmosphere was comfortable - the view was nice. The food was awesome - the service was perfect! He got seafood Ciopinno or something (I forgot the name) but it was HUGE- it was loaded with lobster & shrimp & calamari & octopus. He couldn't even eat half. I got a turkey bacon club. The French fry chips were so good and so unique - LOVED THEM! The turkey was quality meat and perfect! Stacked 3 high, so I had lunch for the next day too! Would recommend! 5 stars all the way!
Why isn’t this place a perfect 5 star? We order randomly and every. Single. Dish. Was a hit. Ingredients are so fresh, flavors are perfectly balanced, and we loved every bit of it. We are already planning our next visit.
Had a wonderful dinner here 10/12/25. We had oysters, and my meal was the scallops with mashed sweet potatoes and asparagus; it was delicious. The drinks were also great! Our waitress was fantastic and it was a great evening. We chose this restaurant because it was close to the whale watching tour we booked which was canceled due to the nor'easter, but still decided to have dinner here and I am so happy we did.
Amazingly fresh fish and many options make this a seafood haven - my partner said she loves the flavor and freshness. What is missing is a cooked vegetarian option [no, salad is not a dish] .. the sides are great so can cobble a decent set in the absence of an entree. Nevertheless, excellent place for a date :) Large portion sizes allow for sharing generously in a group.
Where to start the praise…. The host and hostess were friendly and polite. Adam was extremely efficient in taking our order, promoting the specials and ensuring our dining experience was the best it could be. He was friendly, engaging, helpful and professional. If you haven’t been to this restaurant, you must go! Our meal consisted of oysters on a half shell for a $1.50 each. They were perfect! The portion sizes are very generous; therefore sharing was ideal. The burrata & prosciutto salad was executed with just the right amount of balsamic reduction dressing and our fish & chips; which were light and very fresh, came with the homemade tartar sauce and coleslaw. Yummy 😋 When we return to Gloucester; we will definitely come back to this restaurant!
Seaport Grille is a brilliant five star destination offering sophisticated New England classics right on Gloucester's historic harbor. It's the ultimate spot for waterview dining and high quality seafood. You must try the authentic classics like the Main Lobster Pie and award winning Fried Clams. They also feature excellent land options like the 8oz Filet Mignon. Seaport Grille is the premier spot for a memorable coastal meal.
Great service and good food with huge portions. Their house fries are ridiculously good. Calamari was on point, and the Octopus was tender. Prices were just right. Minus 1 star for the grilled halibut, as it was overcooked. I scouted some desserts hitting the table, and they were huge! The Key Lime pie is not a slice...it is pretty much the whole pie. If you're visiting Boston and doing a drive along the coast to somewhere like Rockport, this spot is definitely worth the stop!
My husband and I went here for lunch because it came highly recommended on social media and it was decent! The oysters Rockefeller were my favorite part. We housed our food because we were pretty hungry after a long day of walking but the entrees were definitely a bit Boston market esque. Still tasty, comfort food but nothing extraordinary. We ordered the seafood trio and haddock dishes which came topped with a yummy breadcrumb mixture. They also are super generous with their wine pours :) The water views are nice if you get a window seat but we still enjoyed our booth. The staff is all very pleasant and our waitress was so kind and appropriately attentive. I would be curious to try a different spot next time but still very much enjoyed eating here and would recommend grabbing a reservation.
Hey Muther Truckers! I happened to make a pickup here at Americold in Gloucester, Massachusetts. I got lucky and could park at Americold just for lunch. If you can park nearby come here! Jenn was my server and was very polite and informative! Had the New England Clam Chowder. Outstanding! The had the Blackened Haddock. Came with rice, guacamole and Pico De Gayo. That too was excellent! Bill was $35.00 including tip.
A 4 star restaurant with partial views of the harbor (if you look beyond the parking lot), outdoor/shaded seating available , good service and decent food. We ordered fried scallops, haddock tacos with flour tortillas and the bacon cheeseburger. The total bill without tip was $76 or about $25 per person. The scallops were delicious whereas the broccoli was saturated in butter. The Haddock tacos were great, and the cheeseburger was decent. The fries are more like slim wedged potatoes and were okay.
Seaport Grille is a famous seafood restaurant right on the coast of downtown Gloucester, overlooking the ocean and docks. The staff were friendly, though it did take a bit to order food, the food came out quite quick beyond that. There was plenty of seating even at prime lunch hours, so we were able to be seated quite quickly. We got an assortment of foods, including their lobster roll. The lobster roll is priced at market value, which was around $30 when we got it. The lobster roll was a good size, with a good amount of lobster to eat. Personal preference is that we like ours hot, but this was served cold, but still pretty enjoyable. It just felt the bread overwhelmed the lobster at times, but was still delicious to eat. The clam chowder was good, consistency was on the watery side rather than thick but had a great flavor. The caesar salad plate was large, and tasted great and fresh. We also got a side of fries, which were like puffed up potato wedges, though we got too much and had to take it home. Overall, it was an enjoyable meal and well deserves its hype.
I went to celebrate my birthday at this place. Upon arrival, the host wasn’t very friendly, which made the beginning of the experience a bit uncomfortable. However, once we were seated, our server Nicole was simply amazing: very attentive, professional, and kind. Five stars for her! The food was also outstanding; the burger was a 10 out of 10. I would definitely come back, mainly because of the excellent food and Nicole’s great service.
Waiting time: 0min (no reservation) dinner First dish: <5min Unforgettable Coastal Dining in the Heart of Gloucester If you’re looking for the perfect blend of ocean views, fresh seafood, and New England charm, this place is a must-visit. Nestled right by the sea, it captures the essence of Gloucester—laid-back, flavorful, and full of heart. The shrimp cocktail kicked things off with a bang—larger than expected, beautifully chilled, and presented like a star on the plate. The oysters were pristine, paired perfectly with freshly grated horseradish that added just the right bite. The lobster mac and cheese was next-level comfort food—loaded with whole chunks of lobster meat, smothered in creamy cheese, and topped with golden, buttery breadcrumbs that added a satisfying crunch. A lucky pick from the daily specials: the haddock chowder. Creamy but not overly rich, it had a balanced flavor that warmed the soul without feeling heavy. Craving a bit of everything, I combined the fish & chips with the calamari a winning move. The squid was delightfully tender, slightly larger and served with skin-on for a rustic touch. Both the haddock and squid were fried to a light, golden crisp, paired with a tangy Marie Rose-style sauce that elevated every bite. And the chips? Pure joy. Crispy, airy, and full of flavor, almost like golden potato bubbles. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this spot is a true coastal treasure. Come for the view, stay for the flavors, you won’t regret it.
Wonderful fresh seafood. I saw another review complained about the breadcrumbs, it maybe could have been a little less but this was still a huge serving of lobster. All 3 entrees were large we had to take some home. The waiter was friendly and helpful. My only complaint is someone else who came in after us complained when initially offered seating in the booth area and was immediately given a better table closer to the water. That didn't seem fair since we were there before her and when I made our reservation those tables weren't available. I was happy to be in the general atmosphere but she clearly didn't have a reservation for the table she got so it seems unfair.
Nice restaurant with a good view. Salad was pretty large though shrimp was a little tough but still good. My husband had the haddock and it was fantastic. Great service at the bar.
This was a very enjoyable night out in our hometown. This is not the height of culinary genius, but the food is good and the portions are quite ample! I was not prepared for the sheer amount of tuna tartare and the number of wonton they provided with it… We got it as an appetizer, it could’ve been an entrée. They are generous with their drinks as well, providing a little shaker with any excess, and the dessert - a key lime pie for which they are apparently known - was literally an entire small pie that could provide a solid dessert for four people. The service was fine, atmosphere was jolly and nautical, just what we wanted; while we could not see the water from our booth, the windows were open and we could smell the sea air and knew it was close. Not cheap, but really not exorbitant for what we got… Totally worthwhile experience, I am sure we will go again.
I probably ordered the wrong menu items at the wrong time or something...the food was so bland. The crabcakes looked brown and crisp on the outside but tasted soggy and undercooked on the inside. The clam chowder had 4 little pieces of clam and a few more potatoes and just tasted like straight cream. I always love the key like pie, can't mess that one up. The lobster roll came on a soggy bun and again no flavour had me questioning my taste buds. Maybe I should have dined in and asked for seasonings...next time I'll make sure I have some salt and pepper and old bay on my truck along with some hot sauce cause this was so bland and sad...is the cook ok? I mean it tasted like depression 🫥 what's throwing me off is that the food itself looked really good until I took a bite.
I really wanted to like this place. I think I might be being a little generous with my stars…Great location, friendly staff. If you love giant portions this might be the place for you. Could not finish our dishes. I wish we’d have known we could have planed our order a little differently. I love ordering Calamari when I’m traveling. This was pretty good. The wedge salad was good, it could have need dressed with a third of the dressing. The tuna salad was enormous and I think they may have served me a whole cucumber.
Great location on the water. Was told it would be 20 minutes for a table. It took an hour. The lobster pie was good. The swordfish was not so good. The picatta sauce was blend and thin. The other entries were just average. Was hoping for something more.
Service was incredibly slow- took 40 minutes to take our orders, and longer for the food to come out. The seafood is mediocre and there is much better in the area. Plus, the non-seafood items were disgusting- the burgers were dry and flavorless and the Lemon Garlic Fettucine had a soured flavor, rendering it inedible. Definitely would not recommend, even though it comes up as being somewhere good in Gloucester- there are much better places.
