Yummy cheesy pizza with crunchy crust and crispy pepperoni. We love to go here for happy hour for a reasonably priced glass of red wine or beer, delicious hot chicken wings and drumsticks, and excellent pizza and to watch games on TV. Great pizza and great prices and a nice, clean place. Happy hour is every day from 3-6, when you can get buffalo wings or a slice of pizza for $3.99 or a salad or glass of red wine for $3.49, or a beer, or glass of wine, or garlic knot bread. Great deals, great prices, and free sports watching. A good variety of salads too.
My wife’s office recently tried out a local pizzeria, and she insisted I stop by for a New York-style slice. So, with some time to spare and an appetite to match, I decided to check it out. The moment I walked through the door, I could tell I was in for something special. The place is small but packed with charm—like stepping into a retro pizzeria from the past. The aroma of fresh pizza filled the air, instantly making me hungrier. Their menu was simple but full of tempting choices, and I ended up ordering two slices of their Meat Lovers pizza along with a cold Mexican Coke. Let me just say: the hype was completely justified. The crust was thin and crisp, the toppings were generous and flavorful, and everything was perfectly balanced—just how a true New York-style slice should be. That first bite confirmed what my wife had said: this place delivers. It’s not just good pizza; it’s the kind of slice that brings you back to classic pizza spots from the past. Safe to say, this has officially become my new go-to spot whenever I’m craving that authentic New York pizza experience.
This spot gets 5 stars from me simply because of the two guys that work the kitchen. My initial interaction with the cashier hit a snag, but the food was good and the guy from Honduras(or might have been Venezuelan. I can’t remember) in the back provided a very high level of customer service. Super polite, attentive and friendly!! He made the experience a 5 star experience. Now to the food…the food was great! Had a pepperoni personal pizza, a cheese personal pizza, and wings. The sign says something about the cheese pizza being the best, oh it really is 👍🏽. The wings and sauce were perfect. We will be back soon.
I always have my doubts when I see places labeled as NY pizza. I lived in Manhattan and Brooklyn growing up, the Mecca of real pizza. This might just be the finest version of pizza I've had in CA. This truly was an excellent example of NY pizza. The crust was thin and crisp. The sauce was just enough. The cheese was perfect. I had pepperoni on one half, hand made Italian sliced meatball on the other. Garlic knots were bite sized for more flavor for the surface area. Garlic fries were amazing with marinara sauce on the side. I really couldn't have been more impressed with this unassuming and dare I say sterile looking shop. Bravo. Will return Everytime I'm in the area.
The pizza was delicious! I recommend Johnny's!
First TIME Trying This Pizza Place! Pregnant Wife Approved!!! Loved it. I ordered not knowing there were bad reviews. It was a delivery order. I got scared after reading the reviews and wanted to cancel but it was too late. But then the pizza arrived. And it was delicious. All my worries were for nothing! My pregnant wife was happy! (Was ordered for her cravings) But boy, I enjoyed them too! They are thinner, which we both like, and we loved the flavor! It’s not like gooey arcade pizza, but it’s just the perfect amount. Yeah, the pizza wasnt hot by the time it arrived but we live far away. I heated it up in the oven and it’s just amazing! It reminds me of the pizza I used to eat growing up. The place must have read all the bad reviews and actually tried to improve! Cudos to them. But who knows, maybe it is hit or miss, so if you get a bad pizza don’t blame me lol. I loved it personally. It doesn’t taste junky either, no guilt like some other pizzas haha. Not greasy either. 9.5/10 pizza for me. Just need to heat it up a little in the oven. like 5 minutes in a 350 degree oven should do the trick.
If you're looking for an amazing NY style pizza this place is for sure it!! New to the area and this was the first place I tried and I'm so glad I did!! You won't be disappointed!!
My friends and I ordered a few things and everything tasted soo good! We definitely will be returning.

I never leave a review but honestly irritates me with all the bad reviews of this place. I come here all the time to get my pizza and the pizza is actually really good (coming from an italian from NY), wings are also good and the people working there are always super nice. Not sure what else you could ask for. Atmosphere is a classic pizza style shop and they even have beer. People always have something to complain about everywhere but thats life. Come get your pizza and wings here
great menu options, friendly staff when we went in to order. The place was comfortable to sit and and eat while watching what they had on tv. The pizza was great quality and will def be coming back.
I'm not sure how this place has 3.4 stars. Maybe customer service is lacking but the taste and quality of the pizza is for sure 5/5. You won't regret going, super delicious

Great service and NY style menu. the pepperoni pizza and Italian salad was fabulous. Will be back for the Italian ice! Highly recommend when your craving Zaaa :)
You’re reading this because you’re asking yourself exactly how New York is Johnny’s Real New York Pizza. Truthfully, it’s pizza. How can you possibly mess that up? It’s got quite an extensive menu but I came here to try a couple slices out so I ordered one pepperoni and one pepperoni with mushrooms added on. Each slice was $3.75 plus the extra $1 charge for the mushrooms. Like others have stated, I was a bit disappointed that they just had pizzas laying out under a heat lamp instead of putting it back in the oven for it to be nice and crispy again. However, since I did order one of them with mushrooms they put that in the oven to heat up and it came out perfectly. I consider a good NY slice to be big, toasty, foldable, and cheesy. These slices definitely hit the mark so I’m giving them a good rating simply because of that. Is it cheaper than most other locations? No, but you’re supporting a local business and not a commercial chain. I think it’s actually family owned and truthfully if they just reheated the pizzas they’d probably get better ratings. The pizza is promising and worth giving a first chance!

Pizza was ok, kinda dry and not a lot of cheese. Garlic fries were addicting. Very oily though.
Dropped a friend off for a meeting, came to mini mall; hungry. Got a slice, the Hawaiian was good. Tasted good, even reheated, service was pleasant and professional, place looked nice and clean. I imagine a pizza to order would be very good, but I can't say as I got pizza by the slice. For six bucks, good value for the money.
I would say this place is good if you want a fast slice of pizza and something simple. I wasn't too impressed with the flavor or the crust. It is local and easy to get a few slices on the go. They do have a Happy Hour special for pizza slices and a drink before 5pm I believe.
The atmosphere is a bit overkill. Growing up in NY, I didn't recall seeing all that. The food is pretty, and so are the boxes, but in ordering, they didn't know what "regulah slice" was. That was the 1st fail. Then they went to boxing my order up, they didn't want to warm up the slice. Whether it's to go or to stay, you warm up the slice. That's fail no. 2. Crust and warmth was good. Sauce and cheese miss the mark with the saltiness. It's okay if you wanna sell it to the locals, for the rest of us...no.

Generally, this is not my prefered pizza style, but it's better than Pizza Hut. Good to feed a sport team! The taste was better than avarage and re-heating does not take away taste. My BIGGEST problem was service in SLICING a whole pizza because they did not run the knife deep enough so the slices did not separate easily when our "small army" of hungry teens got into it. Please make sure you slice it all the way. My kids said they would probably not get pizza here because it did not have enough sauce, but I get it: it's NY Pizza.

Honestly, this place was unfortunately pretty mediocre. Pizza by the slices were served pretty cold and not very fresh at a time when it was lunch time on the weekdays. Staff is also pretty unmotivated at the time of my visit. They do have a variety of different Italian pastas, salads, and whole pizzas available which are probably better to have be cooked to order, but for now this is not a very good place for a quick bite when you're craving the pie.
Pretty much the worst. If you’re in the mood for pizza, maybe just don’t be if this is your only option. Try anything else, or maybe this is your sign to just eat at home today. But.. if you love floppy doughy tasteless heavy on the cheese, bad sauce pizza. This might be your new spot.
Attached is photo the "Pepperoni pizza" there's like 12 pepperonis, the cheese is WAY too thick, the bread is overcooked, crumbles when you pick up a slice. This is like if someone described a pizza to someone who has never seen one, then forced to make it. That's what this is. I live in Quail Hill apartment homes just next door, and I'm gonna start driving further for pizza. This is a disgrace.
You call this chicken parmigiana? Horrible food!!! It was dry and there is no chicken only bread. You are thieves . I demande my money back. Stick with pizza guys. It was the only good thing in there.
