I got the crunchy tacos w/ chicken and beans and rice for Taco Tuesday. And the fresh salsa hit the spot! It was delish!! Friendly staff when you walk in and leave!

Really good tasting tacos, burritos, quesadillas. Tortilla soup is excellent. Breakfast burritos are generous and hot the spot.

A little difficult to see or find inside a business center but “WOW”... This little place is AMAZING!!! The staff is like family, always friendly and go above and beyond. To bad they have early hours and are closed on the weekend... I always go out of my way to eat here whenever I can.. Authentic Food!!

First time here . Had the chicken enchiladas... BOMB , the food was really , really , really, good . Chicken was really soft and cooked well not dry like other places . Definitely recommend this place . They close at 3pm though , so HURRY.........

Rachel's has an array of Mexican food done well. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the food is good, too! They have a salsa bar with a couple of tasty offerings. The location is a little strange but works well as a lunch place if you work nearby. They offer catering for larger parties as well, though I haven't used the service myself.

We love Rachel's. The food is not the absolute best, but it's certainly very good for the price. The burritos are massive. They are part of a local money-saving club app that gives you credit when you scan the receipt; this eventually adds up when you're eating here once a week or so. Our only complaint is that it closes at 3pm. It makes sense, since it mainly caters to the business complexes, but it's a letdown for those of us living nearby who work from home. Although maybe that's kind of a blessing, as I'm sure my wife would want to eat from here twice as often if it was open for twice as many meals.

I stopped at Rachael's Mexican Food for lunch the other day. I was surprised at how good the food was. I like good Mexican food and this was very good. I got the combo plate and I ate every bit of it. They have a great salsa that has a really good slow kick. Just the right amount of slow heat. My son had the wet carne asada burrito. I had a bite of that and it was was great. Friendly employees that gave us super service. Both my son and I will be back.

We love this place! Been coming here for over 10 years! We literally take a day off to eat here since we work during their business hours and it is so worth it! Best tacos, burritos and everything! Thank you for consistently making great food! We will be back always!

I had been there for breakfast. Had scrambled eggs bowl... I was happy n my tummy was also happy. The omelettes are also good. The breakfast is available with complementary chips n salsa. Tried their shrimp burritos for lunch... Amazing

A small Mexican restaurant in between businesses that is very popular with the locals. Friendly service and they take phone and to-go orders. I've had the breakfast burritos only, which are DEEELICIOUS, but there other foods looks yummy as well.

You will not find another Mexican food place like this in Irvine. Irvine is lacking Mexican-authentic, picture-menu, "hole-in-the-wall" type burrito shops and Rachael's is the closest thing to it. I love the breakfast burritos, the enchiladas, the flautas, and the carne asada burrito.

I’ll sometimes get the breakfast burrito with bacon on my way in to my nearby office. For $5 it can’t be beat. It is humongous with lots of fresh made egg, cheese, potatoes, and bacon. Salsa is on the side in small cups. The best breakfast burrito I’ve had.

Food was delicious. I ordered items a la carte and got a lot of food. They get very busy but the wait was worth it and the prices were good. The only thing were the taquitos, they were a little bit hard but the enchiladas and refried beans made up for the one less star rating. The staff was very friendly.

Breakfast burrito with Ham last week, this week bacon. Rachaels Restaurant Crew/chefs know what they are doing. The food is great in my opinion. You can see the effort they put into making burritos, taco plates, etc. Burritos folded very nicely, not falling apart. Perfect amount of potato’s, egg, cheese, and meat. Tortilla perfectly crispy. I can go on and on. Thank you Rachael’s. I’ll keep coming back.

My second time coming and I love the customer service in there it feels like a family for real. I come in for lunch and they always are happy and respectful and funny too ... I remember one lady from my previous visit and she is still the same. I often get rude ppl because of how I look . Rating mainly based on the breakfast burrito, Mexicano burrito, and chile relleno which are amazing. Some of the food is mid but it’s generally solid. Can get busy at times and is a bit small but is reliable and open early.

Just what we've been looking for. There is a dearth of good Mexican food in Irvine, so we tried here for lunch today for takeout and glad we did. Nice people, great quality, and ample (thankfully not oversized) portion. And the asada was tender and delicious. We have a new burrito place for takeout!

Since I live and work in the area, I can confidently say Rachael’s Mexican Food restaurant is a true local treasure! The food is consistently excellent, the staff is friendly and service is fast and efficient. Everything we’ve tried has been fantastic, especially the chile verde, fajitas, chicken taquitos and the breakfast burrito. The new owners have really transformed the restaurant, offering authentic high quality Mexican dishes with a well priced menu and a laid back casual vibe. They go out of their way to make guests feel welcome. Extras like the self serve salsa bar, wine selection and indoor/outdoor seating make the experience even better. As avid Mexican food lovers, my wife and I can convincingly say the quality here is far above your typical chain restaurant. Highly recommended and a great experience!

Great food and incredible service. We recently moved to the area from another part of OC and were delighted to discover a place with such delicious and authentic food close to us. The service has also been great eat time we’ve come. Once we even arrived as they were closing up and they offered to keep the kitchen open and serve us.

When you first walk in to Rachel's Cocina it can be intimidating. The small restaurant is filled with regulars. It looks like a party during lunch time, minus the huge glasses of margaritas. After a minute or so I quickly try to decide what I would like to eat. There is no pressure and the server at the counter was incredibly helpful. I just described what I wanted and bam my wish would come true. The food was large enough to satisfy my large hunger. Although, the style of food wasn't completely familiar to me. I am use to the very plan and tradition style Mexican food that I had plenty of in Riverside. This style was more like an American/Mexican fusion. So maybe instead of Tex-Mex this was Cal-Mex, but not fast food like Taco Bell. I ordered a mole burrito and it was filled with rice, beans, and meaty goodness. Covered with sauce and cheese. Yum. The second visit. I heard great things of their bomb breakfast burritos so I had to see for myself. When I ordered the burrito it looked a bit small to me, but looks were deceiving because this seemly innocent half pound burrito packed a punch of something 2 or 3 times larger. I was completely satisfied until lunch time. When I ordered the credit card machine didn't work. I thought crap I only have card, but the cook was nice enough to say just pay us later. I came back at lunch time and settled my tap. And as a thank you, I received a large bag of salsa and chips =). Thank you for the trust. Great service. Verdict. I am still impressed with Rachel's Cocina. Although, I usually hit up Pholicious as my go to place during lunch. After discovering Los Primos, I usually go there, because it is much closer now that I don't work down the street anymore.

Great vibe.They take each guest in with respect and make them feel welcome. They even get your first name to make it more personal. I will certainly be coming back.

Good Mexican food..but any meat is extra cost that should be included on the regular price

This little gem is very close to my job so I often eat here, especially when I take a short lunch break. I've had the wet burrito with various meat choices as well as tacos and quesadillas. I love the Rachel's wet burrito with fish because it's grilled. They are not the most authentic Mexican food but it is certainly delicious and the staff is friendly.

Really liked the chips. The breakfast burrito is pretty good. Could use some better morning drink options. The salsa was pretty good and spicy.

This place was decent for Mexican food during lunch. Would recommend the nachos if anything as the portion size is bigger than some of the equally priced items. My friend got the bowl and wasn't satisfied.

The good is the location. The great is also the food. I like the fact that you can choose something healthy or comfort food depending on your mood. Enchilada burrito was delicious with plenty! The bad was trying to order online, it would not allow me. When I showed up to get takeout they said they had a new system. I told them that if I hadn't of worked across the street they would have missed my order. He didn't seem too worried about it. I put in my order and waited outside like I was told. About 10 minute wait I heard my name being called from inside. I got up to go inside and there was no one there. Someone pointed out to me that they were shouting my name from the window oh, I am really glad someone let me know since I was told they would bring it outside to me. For the size of foodI just had I would have paid for the price which was $12 but unfortunately if you add chicken to it it's another $6 bringing it to almost a $20 salad. Was it good yes! Delicious I will probably return since the food was good, but I feel like there's some things they got to figure out or workout.

It's good food. They used to give you guacamole and sour cream on the side but now you pay extra. Green salsa is beyond spicy.

OK so we went there because of all the great reviews and the "reasonable" prices...the food was meh, the portions were smallish a $6 California Carne Asada (+$3)burrito was all rice and beans so for me $9 rice & bean burrito is not reasonable. They do have a nice but smallish salsa bar and their chips are fresh -yum. My husbands pet peeve being charged $1.50 for a marked $0.99 can of Arizona iced tea! Not even an I am sorry that is what we charge or oops let me correct that for you, the cashier just ignored his comment and charged him $1.50 anyway. Tried it once, we are not returning and not recommending it. Not our cup-o-taco.

I had high hopes after reading all the positive reviews. Service was great. The lady behind the counter (probably the owner) was super friendly. Unfortunately the food was ok, not bad but not great. Fish tacos were supposedly made with mahi mahi but we weren’t sure. They were overcooked and dry. Burritos were good.

Not the greatest place for Mexican, but then again its in Irvine! My burrito hardley had any meat in it. The chips were a bit stale but the Salsa and guacamole was decent.

The only Mexican place I have been where they don’t serve other dishes during breakfast hours. WTH! You can only order Breakfast burritos. And they only have three choices of breakfast burritos.

Ordered a burrito with both Machaca and Chrorizo, got neither of those proteins and instead received a burrito with only bacon. Ordered this TOGO so had no time to remedy the situation by taking the burrito back. Disappointed.

Walked in here today at around 12:45p. Wondering if it was post lunch rush “blues”. But they just got it wrong. Asked for certain things in my burrito to be done…actually asked for 1 thing to be done and judging from the woman that called my name and gave me my food it definitely didn’t matter that it wasn’t honored. Food was so so. Chicken in my burrito was either pre cooked warm up chicken or had been cooked days before. burrito was cold to the touch also. Won’t be coming back here.

The 2 ladies taking orders were very loud and unprofessional talking amongst themselves and kitchen staff (topics of discussion). Extremely bothersome. This is a small place situated in an industrial location. Asthetically lacking charm. The food was basic and mass produced like fast food. It was bland and tasteless with poor(to go container plates?) presentation. Even for a quick bite, I'd pass next time.

Very disappointing. I ordered a burrito, which I already thought was on the pricy side, and was surprised when she asked if I'd like to add meat. I paid a few bucks extra for meat and guess what, there was no meat on it. Other that the fact that I paid way too much for essentially a bean burrito, it wasn't even good for a bean burrito. I will not be going back.

It was ok. The place is freezing, makes your food cold quick. They have burritos for about $6 bucks, but you have to pay extra for meat. The beans and rice were bland and they only give one enchilada for the combo plate. I guess it's good by Irvine standards, but I'm spoiled by the mexican food in Santa Ana. Go in if you're desperate.

It was very low quality meat and the beans were so hot we couldn't hardly eat them. When I asked if that's how they're made she replied something about it being a certain cook or something 🤷‍♀️. This is the first time in my 46 years that I have had refried beans so spicy I could barely eat them. We spent $37 for 2 entrées and 1 fountain drink plus an extra 2 for a large sour cream (to cool the beans down enough to eat them). The carne asada was dry because it was so over cooked and tasted very low grade. Overall it was very greasy and bland except for the beans that burnt on the way in and out.

Kind of salty that they're so strict on the "till 10am breakfast" rule when I got there at 1005. They should post something on their website that they serve breakfast till 10am ONLY so customers know not to waste their time driving there like I did . Tried their breakfast burrito last time, nothing special. They were very stingy about the salsa if you order-to-go. Chips and salsa were good though.

The service is slow. Had to leave after waiting 20 minutes for a salad. Do they harvest the lettuce, catch the shrimp? This was after the lunch rush. They obviously don't take customer service seriously. The owner wasn't there and the staff weren't on their A game. Won't spend another penny in that place.

I ordered a California burrito that was priced at $7.50 and the total came out to almost $12.00. Apparently meat isn't included in the posted price of the burrito. Also, there were no fries in the burrito. What kind of California burrito doesn't come with meat or fries in it? Feels a little scammy to not include the price of meat in the burrito. Definitely not worth the money. Won't be back.
