Plus, enjoy our extensive salsa bar to elevate your meal experience. Our friendly staff will make you feel right at home, just like grandma used to cook - we can't wait to serve you!
Tacos & Co. receives mixed reviews. Some customers praise the Tacos de Pescado and salsa bar, while others complain about slow service, stale tacos, and cleanliness issues. One customer felt transported back to Mexico by the atmosphere.
Tip: Be aware that service can be slow even when the restaurant is not busy, and check the freshness of the food before ordering.
Good Mexican food! Nice decor, quick service. A variety of specials! We went with a Cabo chicken burrito and asada nachos.
If you're trying to save money but want to eat out with your family you can satisfy your hunger with Tacos & Co's delicious, authentic mexican food at bargain prices. You won't find a better deal. $1.75 per street taco, mini enchilada, or chicken taquito between 3-6 pm. Dress them up with cilantro, onions, and hot or mild salsa from the salsa bar. Or high school students with ID can do 30% off an entree and drink. Delicious tacos, refried beans with melted cheese on top, mexican rice, Corona beers, chips and salsa. Can't beat the prices!
An absolute treasure for happy hour! Tacos, quesadillas, and taquitos all for under two dollars each during! Modelo and Pacific are on tap and served by the mug or pitcher. The chicken street tacos are easily my favorite and I order three at a time. However, the chicken taquitos are good but mild; for sure make use of their salsa bar! If you order beer, chips are served for free! Overall checkout for a great happy hour deal!
Perfection. Brilliant made to order burritos and great value. Happy Hour: $8 beer pitchers, $1.60 street tacos. Large range of free salsa, including onion, picked chilli peppers and cilantro! Soccer on TV. Brilliant service. Master chef.
Fast location and helpful at the register. The selection on the menu is wide and there are many healthy options to choose from. The place is clean every time that I go in. The good is great quality and very tasty. GO here for good quality Mexican food
The food was awesome remind me of my grandmother's
Best Tacos in Irvine and at a super reasonable price. Employees are nice and service is quick.
I got there as they were closing and took my order anyway. And they were so friendly! This was the first time I visited this establishment and I will be a loyal customer. And their food was great!
Really good tacos, didn't expect to find a place even comparable to food from Mex anywhere else but Mex itself, much less here. Will come by again if I'm ever in the area
What a place to sit relax and enjoy a meal. With the family at Taco and co. You can't go wrong stoping at simply the best Taco shop west of the 241 highway
And the tortillas were fabulous, people don't realize how important the tortilla is to a taco
Delicious. I had the shrimp fajitas. Quick service. Clean restaurant. Little pricey. Totally worth it.
This for sure Is a restaurant I would recommend very delicious fresh food fast service chef was on top of his game..& cashier was really friendly...I was a visitor but I will for sure be back..
Great prices and nice deals. Service is fast and the staff are nice (but focus on the work). I like the salsa.
Tacos and Co is the best. Largest Sees Candies store. Tiger Sugar boba.
Bomb.com
Nice food. I liked
Love Tacos and Co. Best salsa and best chips around. Still exactly the same. Update. Still great. Not enough chips today. But yummy otherwise
The best pollo around. The family taco packs are lights out. Araceli is a delight. She will make sure your order is prepared with love.
I had to come and immediately rave about this place. I've never been here but my daughter's school just had their Pops concert catered by them. The carne asada taco combo plate was insane delicious! I was scraping the container for every last bite of beans and rice. Very authentic Mexican food. This Mexican approves. I was very surprised at how delicious this was as most latino restaurants in Irvine just don't pass the test for me. We're already planning our trip for dinner here!
If you are looking for a quick bite or to cater a party at home, I would definitely recommend Tacos and Company. Just had a small get together and did a catering order that I picked up. Everything was ready to go on time and the staff made sure I had everything I needed. They called to confirm the order 2 days before and were very thorough. Definitely will order again in the future.
Great taco happy hour 3-6 even on weekends, and the Vallarta burrito has eggs and potatoes so is practically breakfast all day. One of the few places in Irvine where you can still get affordable food that doesn't suck.
I used to come here a lot when I was in high school, but the other location. I’m guessing this location is newer. Obviously it’s not gonna be the best taco in the world but they get the job done and I really do like them. Overall, it’s a really good place to go to get your Mexican fix. honestly, they’re probably aren’t that many places in the Irvine area in general that make decent Mexican food. My comfort food.
Tacos de Pescado, beer They have a salsa bar too
I had The huevos rancheros and they were Decent, I like the Salsa Bar and the Guacamole.
Good pastor and carnitas tacos! Rice and beans were alright...I recommend the special!
Surprisingly good chicken burritos, with several styles reminiscent of the ones you get in Mexico. When theyre grilling, the whole place fills with smoke, so its better to eat outside.
One of the better Mexican places in Irvine. Downside is the my started recently charging for the horchata (homemade and delicious). The food here is always hot and delicious.
Vallarta Burritos are great 5⭐ Ingredients consistently fresh. Probably their best location flavor-wise
Great burritos! They can do better on chip portions and prices, but a good option for lunch.
Fast and simple mexican food, service has always been great for me and my order matches my expectation of fast Mexican food in Irvine. I recommend the Torta Cubana, they're always great. Price also seems right.
Good burrito. Nice staff.
We dropped in to grab a few tacos to check it out and were surprised to find they were really solid. The service was also choice with the owner always going out of their way to make sure you have what you need. They have a solid condiments bar with fresh salsas, grilled jalapeños and more. We tried the pollo and pastor tacos, all great. Also, happy hour between 3p~6p. We added this to our list of taco spots. (If you know Irvine, decent tacos around here are pretty limited.)
They don't understand the happy hour menu, even if I point at it. It's next the register. I'm not being rude. I only know one way to say Taco. It's says mug of beer/chips $4.99. Uhhhh. I'll still keep going back❤️
It was pretty good, the meat on the sopes was kind of dry as we're their beans. Good salsa bar and fast service.
The ingredients had good flavor, but preparation and presentation didn't match the price.
This s an okay Mexican restaurant with lot of nux and match options. Should check out there happy hour options which seemed interesting
The staff here didn't seem to care much about service. They just didn't have any smiles on their faces and I did not feel being welcomed. At least the restaurant was clean and I enjoyed my breakfast burrito and a cup of Horchata. By the way, they charged extra $1.08 for Horchata refill.
Service was notably slow, especially during their happy hour - i had to yell out after standing at the counter for 5 mins. I had to repeat my order 3 times to correct them. Staff doesnt seem trained on basic service - when a customer asks for something to be left out then it is likely an allergy, so dont argue. Also pail was in the middle of the walkway to catch dripping water coming off the interior decorative roof (likely from above AC unit because it was a hot summer day) - it was next to counter where customers recieve food, it was near the salsa bar and it created a slip/trip hazard - other options are easily available for a safer enviroment for employees and customers. The tp go order was made fairly quickly. My friend, I got the to go order for, said the tacos were good - notablly the carnitas.
This place is average at best when it comes to Mexican food. The only downside is how expensive it is compared to quality. I paid $10 for a small plate with 1 little enchilada, a taco, and some rice/beans. A little bit of salad and chips were included, but meh. Food didnt taste very authentic.
This used to be one of my favorite burrito places, but the prices have gotten out of control. Their food is still good, but $16 for a counter-ordered burrito is pushing it. I will say their salsas are very good.
We chose this as it is close to workplace, actually walked there so we didn't have to worry about parking which can be an issue since this place could get busy at lunchtime, which a good indicator of the quality of food. The beef burrito was really good, plenty of meat and less rice compared to other places. The tacos we're good too, very fresh. On the other had, this is not the place to go if you're looking for authentic Mexican, this is a place where generic Mexican food is served. Orice is reasonable, major credit cards accepted.
I'm an out of towner drove by saw in and tried it out. I noticed the food names are fun and exciting. For fast food on my lunch break worth it. Priced reasonable for the area it's in. The chips I got with my food did feel old but hey it's lunch rush and I'm hungry. One thing that really reminds me of the the homeland it's the communication that they have a in the kitchen it really bring me back. Don't stop that guys. And for the love of all that is hold people just listen for your number it's not that hard get off the phone. I would give it a higher rating but I haven't tried them out fully to recommend more then 3 stars
Burrito had a weird taste to it as well as the avocado, sauces aren't spicy, they dont have much taste.
Expensive food for something not great. Tried multiple times but have not found anything to bring me back. Quesadilla is probably the best thing I've had here but I heard the breakfast burritos are great.
Double check your order! I ordered 4 tacos; they boxed 2. Can not be trusted to fill a simple order! Food was fine.
Not great. The service is as lackluster as the food. The tacos are OK but plan on it taking them a while and being under err rwhelmed with the results. The kitchen is dark, old and a little scary if you ask me. Looks like one inspection away from a remodel. The salsas are OK. Not my first choice for good Mexican food.
First visit the food was good, but on the two follow-ups the kitchen had burnt food smell coming from it. Not sure if it is the language barrier but the staff is very unfriendly. The soda dispensing machine had a broken water lever that was pushed all the way back which hid it from view. The lady who was doing something behind the kitchen pulled it forward with her greasy hands and gave me a genuine "don't you know anything look." Didn't realize I had to fix their broken equipment to satisfy my thirst.
Mediocre food. Horchata tasted strange. The fist taco was decent. The guacamole was quite tasteless. There was smoke coming out from the kitchen which permeated throughout the shop. What happened to the vent? The AC was not turned on. Not recommended.
3rd and last time coming. I really tried to give them chances. 7 St tacos for $15, humn. Any ghetto there $1 ea. 2 of the 3 meats were funky (asada n chicken) humn. The carnitas was fair to good. 1 of 2 employees was courteous. I know good tacos r hard to come by in Irvine. But I'm done. Drive 1 city over, Santa Ana! Don't always get what you pay for?
Did not like it.. 1. They are slow. I waited too long. 2. Some ingredients were hot, some cold. 3. The green salsa had an old flavor. No good.
Tacos have no flavor, I plaid $6.50 for one shrimp taco and it wasn’t good.
Not the best place but not many other casual Mexican food options around. It's pretty slow no matter when you go and the staff isn't very friendly. The food is always a bit of a disappointment. I'm gonna stop going.
Customer service was not up to par. A bit rude and lazy. Food was not as good as I remembered a couple of years ago. Tacos were dry and seemed liked yesterdays batch.
This place is garbage. A disgrace to mexican food.
Very overpriced, food mediocre. Atmosphere leave something to be desired. I can get over it as long as portions and pricing makes sense, which it does not hear.
wouldn't recommend the lady taking my order didn't understand anything I was saying. & I was only asking for mexican food. The type she should know about especially working here. The burrito comes UNWRAPPED - huh? basically just a huge taco. with nothing but meat. if you want to add even just cheese you have to pay extra. food was not good. not worth the hassle. I should have cancelled my order the 3rd time she looked confused at what i was saying. I would never go back.
A combo taco and enchilada plate. Mostly plate. The taco was pitiful small. Tiny amount of hard carnitas. I must have misread the menu. I thought I was getting a carnitas enchilada too but it was just a rolled tortilla, flattened, and coated with all I can describe as an essence of cheese like material. The beans and rice were uninspired. The mild salsa was tasty. $20 for low grade food. Lettuce was the most prominent food substance on the plate.
I ordered the Mexicano burrito combo which came with a soda, rice, and beans for $14.99. The portion size was decent and the service from the ladies at the counter was friendly. However, the food itself was pretty basic for the price. The carne asada had quite a bit of fat, and the burrito contained a very large amount of onions. I don’t mind onions, but there was honestly a handful inside, and the salsa also had onions. If I had known it would be that much, I definitely would have asked for no onions. I ended up opening the burrito to remove most of them, but eventually stopped eating it because there was still a lot mixed in. One other thing I noticed while dining in was that staff in the back were speaking very loudly in Spanish to a child and repeatedly saying “cállate la boca.” Regardless of the language, it might be better to be mindful that customers can hear conversations from the kitchen area. Overall, the service was nice, but the food quality and preparation could use some improvement for the price point.
My first time going, it was empty. The lady that took my order was not friendly. I ordered 2 torta de milanesa and 2 small drinks, and my total was $40 something dollars. The torta looked plain. It didn't have much flavor. The meat was SO HARD!! I couldn't eat it. I had to remove the meat. The lady started to sweeping putting so much dust in the air while we ate. I didn't finish the other half of the torta. NEVER WILL I GO THERE!! NOR WILL I RECOMMEND THUS PLACE.
The burrito cost $14 (before the surcharge for beans and rice) and was the size of a microwave burrito with hardly any meat. Terrible value, left hungry. Also theycharge a credit processing fee. Greedy restaurant for low quality Mexican food. Will not be back.
I decided to try their menudo, the meat was full of fat not cleaned and random pieces of fat (not pata) I don’t recommend this place for menudo, save your bucks..
They have the worse asada ever its full of fat and nerves worse quality meat ever. Save your money and go elsewhere.
This place is an alright, but slightly overpriced lunch place when you need something on taco Tuesdays. It's nothing special until last week when I took a bite out of my usual veggie burrito and had this extra special ingredient. I'm not sure if it's intentional or not, since there's no way a wire could've "accidentally" made its way into the burrito when the counter shouldn't be anywhere near the tortilla bag. But nonetheless it made the food extremely unappetizing and my teeth hurting for an hour afterwards. Never going back for sure.
Couple occasions that they forget items for my order and they decide not to deliver my food and instead make me go back to get my money. Really disrespectful lady that answers the phone.
Horrible!! They have to change the cooker for someone to know something about Mexican tacos! Sorry I don't recommend
The worst place to go to , worst attitude ever and be careful what they put in your food as they do not wear gloves and dpuble check your order
Dry customer service borderline rude and got my order wrong. Food is good but if you value service and getting what you order I’d try somewhere else.
Location must feel their chips are worth a fortune. I paid for extra chips and got a total of 6 chips. When I confirmed this was in fact extra chips, I was told yes. I wont be back.
Worst place to Eat, I been in both locations and they are worsttttt never come back again
The worst Mexican food place. Portions are tiny. Price is high. Quality is low. I use this place as an example of the worst Mexican food I have ever had.
I have never eaten such bad Mexican food in my life. Seriously...how are they in business? I ordered a burrito.
Not good at all. Meat is different, chips are hard , salsa has no flavor , I'm sorry
I'm sorry but this isn't the place. If I can compare it to another restaurant it will be Taco Bell high priced and cheap food with an expensive price tag.
Cook was standing on grill when we arrived. Food was ok, nothing special. Update: Went again for convenience reasons, figured it was worth a second shot. Everything we got was bland, under or over cooked, and tasted terrible. Wife could not tell the difference between meats of two different tacos (flavor was same between chicken and beef).
Was not shocked to see the bad review of this place. Customer service is horrible
I paid 4.25 each for fish tacos. I thought it was a little high price but the cashier said they are big taco which was not true. They were small and hardly any fish. I would never go back there.
Went there last week. Worst taco chain in California. The chips were stale, tacos were so small, with no lettuce nor tomatoes…just onions and whatever meat you chose. The entire order costed almost $10. Way too high for some zero quality.
Ordered the Carnitas Bad Boy Burrito, and I received Carne Asada. The beef was so tough and fatty that the Burrito was not edible. Tried calling to get a refund, but it was difficult to understand the employee. Awaiting a call back from the manager.
Hole in the wall Mexican restaurants are usually good but this one was just bad. I came in and the cashier was talking on the phone. Took her awhile to finish her conversation and take my order. Carne asada was old and dry. It was already cooked and just sitting out in the open. The cook simply reheated it on top of the flat top. Handful of chips were tossed into the bag along with the burrito like an afterthought. The workers don’t care. Management doesn’t care about cleanliness. Equipment is old and nails stick out of the countertops. Take a step in and it looks like you are transported to the recesses of Tijuana.
Ordered 7 beef street tacos for my son and I. Worst ever. The beef tastes super old…. And smelly Is it really beef?
Tried the Asada fries abit disappointed to find out some fries were still undercooked (the center was hard and tasted like raw potato)
2 chicken tacos and a quesadillas 13$ it's between 3 and six. Why are you charging so much. I'm not going to complain to the lady working here. If theses are not the best tacos I have ever had I will not return too this Inge or any other tacos and co.
Without a doubt, the worst Mexican food I have EVER had. Didn't think it was possible. I should say something nice... the salsa bar was okay.
Dry dry dry. Don’t recommend
One star because they got my burrito right once out of 6 times! Then the lady said "you said no sour cream" when I had her repeat my order! Overall I have to find a new spot. Totally cool.
With a place the name is Taco Co you would think their tacos would be something to write home about I couldn't have been more disappointed they gave me a taco with a shell that was store-bought from like Taco Bell barely any meat on it said it came with lettuce or tomatoes I didn't see anything I thought I was in for an authentic corn tortilla something the hot oil fat Taco but instead I was pretty much left with something that I wouldn't even feed my kids
Very mean people and nasty food. Felt discriminated against and will never return.
Overpriced and my order was missing a few ingredients. Honestly, the quality is lower than low. I bought two Gordo burritos, ate 1/2 of one and threw away the rest. Worst $20 I ever spent.
I arrived on Sunday, 15 minutes before closing time. I ordered a milanesa torta and two asada tacos. The tacos were awful meat was old and fatty, and the milanese torta was disgusting. It only had beans, a slice of old tomato, and the meat was dry, old, and burnt. I couldn't eat it at all. It was a waste of money, and I won't be coming back.
I don’t usually leave a review, but this place is going downhill. $12 (Tax and Tip included) Breakfast burritos are the smallest I’ve even seen, flavorless and they give you about 5-6 tortilla chips with each. Mediocre food with excellent service.
Smallest bean burrito I have ever bought there was no hardly any cheese. 8 dollars for a bean burrito I way over priced. People love Mexican food because it is made with love don’t loose focus on the passion serve and treat your customers fair. I ordered online and they had no idea about my order I had to wait an additional 15 mins once I arrived there and my notifications messaged me saying my order was ready. Very disappointed I am glad I tried it before I brought my whole work crew to eat. Back to del taco for my “ Mexican food”! Smh
Carne aside was low quality super fatty and grissly steak burrito. Cost $45 for a burrito and 3 kids meals with no drinks. Over priced and under served. 24 hour taco joints make better food than this place. Won't be returning
Ordered the shrimp and fajitas. No fajitas. 3 shrimp. For 30$. ????
If there is one word to describe this place it would be...... Disgusting!! service, restaurant, food, all...... Disgusting!! It is a sad excuse for a so called Mexican restaurant!! Taco Bell and Dell Taco are far better than this place will ever be! I ordered the breakfast burrito and burrito gordo and chips and guacamole! The burritos tasted unusually disgusting like they got ingredients from a local dumpster! disgusting! The guacamole was even worse! The price first of all was $7.50 for the chips and guacamole and they have a picture on the menu of what i thought i would be getting.... But that was not the case! Nothing like the photo! Its not fresh guacamole!! the ingredients are green food coloring, powder, water and i believe there was unions! I just had a taste of the guacamole and I was like I can't eat this and went back to the restaurant and asked for my money back from the manager, but of course they refused! I was so upset! They do not care about customer service! They don't care about the quality of food they give you! They just want your money! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have been warned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I totally agree with James Rodriguez...it is poorly ran with poor customer service. It is rock bottom. I dealt with either the GM or Owner...they gave us a pound of chicken that smelled god-awful and had burnt marks telling me that they reheated the chicken after it went bad. I called them because all 4 of my family members had diarrhea that same night. Francisco Rodriguez is the one I talked to, he sounded genuinely concerned when I first talked with him. He said he would follow up with me...he did. He said it wasn't their fault. No apologies and no replacement. Flies fly all over inside, the cashier handles food after tendering, 3 out of 7 fountain drinks are not working properly. They give you a dirty look when taking too much salsa. What do one expect...lol...when leadership comes from the top and trickles down to their employees that are ever so poorly trained. Irvine is a tight knit community and when you mislead your customers and take an advantage like you did...word spreads rapido!! You should learn how to satisfy your loyal customers before you're left with none...lol!!
The food is extremely overpriced. The portions are incredibly small. The “vegetarian” burrito with a drink was $20. That’s insane behavior with no meat source. The burrito barely had any rice. I asked for “refried beans” but the beans were whole pinto beans with barely any seasoning. The fajitas in the burrito were also very bland. The cashier was also a little inconsiderate when I asked her substitutions/additions. And the audacity to make us sign for a tip when you have to pick up your own food from the counter and serve your own self. Never again.
Avoid! Small portions, overpriced, taste ok for a few bites. Should have read the reviews before stepping in. Never come back
Walked in, saw the lady at the register grab raw ground beef then take an order and go back and wrap a burrito without washing her hands. They were still wet from RAW ground beef juice. Walked right out, thats all I need to know. Will never go back.
DON’T DON’T EVER COME HERE Food and meat quality is really bad, dried meat, drinks taste like water, and everything looks dirty inside. Service is literally nothing except a Cashier standing there with extremely bad and rude attitude charging EXTREMELY higher than other usual restaurants. And $30 for a SMALL Carne Asada Burrito with extra Guacamole !!!!!!! This is ridicules !!!!!!! I don’t recommend this restaurant to anyone and I stand by every word I said.
No vengan aquí.
