This place was super fun. The atmosphere was a sports bar vibe, but the food is unique and superbly done. The drinks are not just standard beers on tap (although they have those). They have fun cocktails and we received great service and were sat quickly on a Sunday evening with a party of 8. We did appetizers for dinner with drinks. They had sushi rolls. I had the spicy tuna and a friend had a California roll that actually had real crab. I also had fried pickles, these were spears instead of chips and the Brussels sprouts were delightful! I also had a spicy margarita and an espresso martini. The martini had real espresso beans in it.

Visited on a Thursday evening. Very nice gastropub. Tried the Bourbon Old Fashioned, very nice. Wife enjoyed the whiskey sour very much. We shared sliders and queso with chips. A very pleasurable experience overall.

Had a great time at Thirsty Lion Gastropub, first off the restaurant smells amazing like something great is cooking…… Kallie was our server and she was amazing, attentive with great menu suggestions… we had the cauliflower, queso, gastropub burger, and sliders we will be back…

We set a reservation but did not really need it as the place wasn’t crowded. Cali got us together with our happy hr drinks and food we went Saturday right around 3:30. I didn’t take picks of the apps but the edamame was great and so were the fried cauliflower. We all enjoyed our food as well I had the bacon wrapped shrimp and sub my rice out for asparagus . Super chill atmosphere.

Teresa was our server today, and she made our dining experience truly exceptional! The food was delicious, and her outstanding service made all the difference. I highly recommend seeking out her section for a fantastic meal!

My husband and I had just had a very frustrating experience kicking off the celebration of our 10 year Anniversary… looking for something to do to salvage the night we decided to go to our favorite restaurant, Thirsty Lion. From the moment we came in & met our server, Alex, whom waited on us a few years prior, it was a top notch experience!!! The food, drinks & service were exactly what we needed to cast off the drudgery of the day. We shared the news of our day with our server, Alex & from his sunny disposition, helpfulness & impeccable service, it just turned the night around immediately!! Thank you so much to Thirsty Lion in Irving & our excellent server Alex for making our anniversary one of the best ones yet!!!

We have been regulars at Thirsty Lion for over four years since moving to the area. We have always loved the food, especially the brunch menu, which never misses. But bartender Nicci is the reason we keep coming back. Her customer service is unmatched. She remembers our favorites, gives the best recommendations, and manages to be both hilarious and incredibly professional at the same time. If you sit at the bar, do yourself a favor and ask for Nicci. She will take great care of you every single visit.

Ashton was our server. She was super awesome. Nice and respectful. She knew the menu items and suggested great food choices.

Our server Alex was incredibly courteous, kind, and personable — he made us feel right at home from the moment we sat down. It was awesome finding out he’s also from California, and he went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Alex truly has a degree in MIH (Makin’ It Happen) — he knows how to make guests feel special and well taken care of. This guy is a rockstar and absolutely deserves a raise. We’ll definitely be back!

Sequoia was the very best bartender! It was our first time at the Thirsty Lion and she made it a great experience! Very friendly and great customer service.

Fatima was a fantastic server, very attentive and made sure to check on my wife’s dietary restrictions. Food was absolutely delicious! Will definitely be back! Fried chicken Mac and cheese is SO good.

Baja cod tacos were fire! Fatima was so helpful with my gluten and dairy intolerances. Food was so fresh and perfect. I would eat here every day if I could, from Ohio though! If you’re in town, go here over anywhere and ask for Fatima!

This was our first visit here and Teresa made it super enjoyable! She asked if we had any allergies, and I do!! She provided us with a gluten free menu and made sure to ask the cook about the answers to questions she didn’t know. We will definitely be making another trip! The food was really fresh and delicious!!

Bailey is a top-tier bartender and did an amazing job making my experience. She helped me make decisions on the menu and gave me what I needed before I had to ask. Attentive, friendly, and on point! Even made sure my poke stack had quinoa instead of rice.

Got the Gasteopub Burger. Very delicious. Serving size isn't huge, but was perfect for what I wanted. Burger was very juicy and cooked perfectly. Server was attentive and I didn't have to wait long to order or get the check. Music was low volume and crowd noise acceptable. Beer selection I would call about middle ground, but everything sounded worth trying. Prices are a touch higher than expected, but the quality felt that much higher than expected as well. Very enjoyable and recommended.

I met a friend for dinner before she moved out of state. TJ was an intuitive server. He did a great job and made sure we were taken care of, but also respected our time visiting. Very kind!

Great brunch with lots of TVs! I loved the French toast, it’s got a crisp to it that was unique and delicious. We had a group of 6 and our server Teresa was very attentive and patient with us all arriving at different times. Really enjoyable meal.

Nice spot over in the Toyota Music Factory. They have a dog friendly patio. We had a nice time. They have a great selection of apps and beers and a nice happy hour. We tried the giant pretzel and chips and queso. The flatbread pizzas are pretty good as well. I had the cod tacos. Great tortillas and salsa. The burgers are huge and the fries are good. We got a plain burger patty for the pooches. Four paws up!! 🐾 🐾 they loved it!!

This is our first time here and we traveled from. Baton Rouge for my mother n laws graduation. We came for brunch. The food was so good. From the chicken to the bacon to the Irish whiskey French toast and more. Karla was soooooo sweet and attentive. The staff was such a joy and did I mention the food was spectacular. We will definitely be back.

2 hour free parking right out front! We received exceptionally attentive service from Ashton. She knew the menu well and had great recommendations. I loved the edamame and my strawberry mezcal margarita was perfect. Very clean restaurant and good vibes. A huge bar and a nice outdoor patio! I highly recommend stopping in here for a quick bite and a well-made cocktail before your show at Toyota Music Factory. They even offer catering! Make sure you ask for Ashton!!!

Happened to be in the area for work. And checked this place out on a whim. I'm glad I did. The atmosphere was really pleasant with plenty of seating and TVs to watch whatever music/shows they had on. They had a solid variety in their menu options and I really appreciated the consistent and courteous service I received. My server was Blanca, she was very polite and helpful. Checking up on me throughout my time there and always offering a helping hand in case I needed anything. But I was already very happy with the food and drink. I had their Fried Chicken mac and granny smith apple crumble. Both tasted as great as they looked. And the Hibiscus Lemond was really refreshing. Definitely considering this place if I'm ever back in the area.

Marvin was an amazing bartender! Super friendly, attentive, and made great drinks. He made the whole experience better and made us feel really welcomed. Definitely a reason we’ll be coming back!

First and foremost, can I talk about the excellent customer service from Marvin?! I am a person who returns to a restaurant based off of customer service and then food. Marvin went above and beyond to make sure my partner and I had the best birthday dinner. Drinks were always filled. Courses arrived on time. If I had any question about the menu, Marvin knew the answer. 10/10 will be back.

We came in on Friday because I’ve heard so many good things about their food and drinks. Our server Kassandra was very attentive and Super sweet. It was our first time so she made a few suggestions on both drinks and food. Me and my boyfriend decided to try their raspberry drop martini and their bourbon old fashion. The raspberry martini was very refreshing. My boyfriend loved their old fashion. We tried few of their appetizers;The burger sliders, queso and their carnita tacos, everything was very tasty. The ambiance and service was very welcoming, we really enjoyed our visit. We will definitely be coming back.

Came here for the first time earlier this week and I was impressed. Kenya, my waitress was amazing. She was very attentive to my needs and made conversation with me. Definitely enjoyed her service. She helped me picked my food as it was my first time and she did not let me down. Amazing!

My daughter and I ate here after her gymnastics competition and it was exactly what we needed. Our server Alex was absolutely amazing. He help us figure out how to order what my daughter wanted, because it wasn't exactly on the menu and saved is some money, by doing so. If you go I suggest asking for him as a server!

Excellent service from everyone seemingly. Alex was my waiter and 10/10. Very attentive but not over attentive. Super nice and down to earth. Great vibe all around. My girlfriend and I were looking around for a place to get a quick bite before going to a concert and we saw gastropub (due to our love for Meddlesome Moth, RIP) and decided to give this place a try. We found two seats at the bar and started off with a 512 Pecan Porter for me and a Martini for my girlfriend. We both enjoyed our drink selection and moved right into the apps. We ordered the burger sliders and the brussle sprouts. The sliders were delicious. Brussel sprouts were still good, even though I’m a sucker for a very caramelized Brussel sprouts, so I will not knock these. They could have used a little more salt. Next is the entrees. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich after seeing hundreds of them lined up to be taken to different tables throughout the night. The sandwich was huge. My girlfriend ordered the fish & chips and the Caesar salad. She absolutely loved the salad and was a fan of the fish & chips. My sandwich was great, but I wish it had a bit more sauce. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here and talked about how we would go back again and again.

My Barista Ms.Ashley was very welcoming. She recommended the BBQ fried rice with chicken instead of pork. It was tasty, the rice was perfect. And I had the Spicy fried cauliflower 😋 words can't describe. I can't wait to come back.

Blanca was extremely welcoming, friendly, and professional. She took time with us Helping us decide on our food order. She Consistently came back to our table, asking if everything was OK and if we needed anything. She is definitely a server with excellent customer service skills.

Ashton was so freaking great!!! We were a party of 8. With lots of special requests. Basically a very high maintenance group. Not only was she a great server she made our dinner experience relaxed and overall just wonderful. This was our first time here and we will be back because of Ashton!!

The service was the best part. Our server, Teresa, was friendly from the start and when we clarified her name, she asked for ours and even remembered them. I’m not sure I’ve ever had that happen. The food is fresh and made from scratch, all of it. They had a fall menu too. The cocktail I had was also great! A perfect place for our date night with even better service.

Teresa was wonderful outstanding surface knew the menu back-and-forth was very friendly and very attentive to everything that we needed. She made suggestions and she even talked with us about Netflix and the fun movies. Do we need to add a photo?

Came to Thirsty lion for dinner with my wife. The host greeted us immediately and was super sweet. Our server Riley was amazing very kind and able to accommodate all of our asks. Drinks came out quick and food was great. Will definitely return!

We came in for brunch on Sunday for the first time and really enjoyed the experience. The spicy chicken & waffles were really good and the service was exceptional. Ashton was very obviously busy, if you were paying attention, however you wouldn't know it by her service. She was on top of getting us everything we needed in a timely manner, she was courteous, and accurate in remembering what everyone got. I will be back!

The menu had something for everyone. Everyone was very friendly and personable especially our waitress, Ashton Claybrook. Even though she was very busy but never made us feel rushed. Taking the time to explaining how everything was made from scratch even the syrups for the cocktails, the favorites from other customers. I had the Turkey Club and an espresso martini, both were delicious. Definitely worth the trip.

Earlier today my coach and I went in to Thirsty Lion to grab a quick little bite and kill some time. Our waitress was Teresa and she was absolutely wonderful. She took the time to check in on us often and was patient with us while we were still figuring out what we wanted on the menu. She was attentive to every detail with refills, asking how the food was, and even clearing off the table to make our time there more comfortable. She is very polite, joyful, and greatly appreciated by the two of us who dined in today. Anybody who is lucky enough to have her care, I highly recommend her!

come here at least once a month, and tonight Teresa was our server. The restaurant was really busy being Valentine’s night, but she was still calm, friendly, and on top of everything. She was kind and attentive, kept our drinks full, and checked in just the right amount. Service stayed quick and smooth despite the crowd.

I was visiting Irving for a work event and after a long day, I decided to check out Thirsty Lion and it was a great decision. I was seated within minutes, and the service was amazing. My server was Alex and he was so kind and quick with my drinks and food. All in all, the food and service were amazing and I will definitely recommend to place to anyone visiting the Irving area!

Teresa was our server and she was amazing! Very attentive. Our glasses stayed filled. Our food was great, too. We had salmon, a burger, flatbread, and chicken. I had the grilled salmon and it was delicious. So glad we found this place. We will be back.

My daughter and I were in town for a Judo tournament at the convention center and we decided to try the Thirsty Lion because it was conveniently located near by. Our waitress, Lindsey, was excellent. She checked all the boxes for top notch service. The food was also outstanding. For an appetizer we tried the fried chicken tenderloins and they were deliciously seasoned and perfectly juicy. I had the gastro burger, which was served with probably the best bacon I've ever had on a hamburger. It was delectable to the last bite. If you find yourself near here and you happen to be hungry, do yourself a favor and drop in for a meal. You won't regret it.

The atmosphere was great and Teresa was very helpful and a fun waitress. We were a bunch of jokers having a good time from New Jersey. She was awesome, treat her with care.

Alex was an outstanding waiter! He was quick, efficient, and incredibly friendly throughout our entire visit. He gave great recommendations and clearly knew the menu well. Even with our party of six, everything came out promptly and exactly as ordered. We were all very satisfied with his service and truly appreciated his attentiveness.

Was in town for a conference and of all the choices in this area, I decided to give them a shot and they didn't disappoint! It was delicious enough, I went back multiple times during my stay! Between the multiple visits, I tried: •Smoked Turkey Club •BBQ White Cheddar Burger •Gastropub Burger Each one was delicious in it's own way. The club sandwich was grilled on the outside (similar to a grilled cheese) that gave it a nice crunch and had the maple bacon on it that I could have eaten a few more pieces of on the side. Both burgers were 'pick them up and don't put them down' type of burgers. They were cooked perfectly and had great flavor. The BBQ burger will become a bit messy, so be sure to eat it over the plate! The side of fries that came with each had a nice crunch to them and were seasoned lightly with salt - I just wish there was just a few more on the plate because they were that good! I ordered two cocktails, a Moscow mule and a Lion Lemonade. The Lion Lemonade was underwhelming and the mule was exactly what you expected. Most nights the bar staff was on fire and a hive of activity with only one of the night being less than the others. I ordered the Lion Lemonade on the 'meh' night and maybe that had something to do with it - maybe not. All said, if I find myself in Irving Texas again, I will certainly be stopping back in for dinner!

Stopped by today and had a great experience. My server Samantha took care of everything without me having to ask utensils, napkins she stayed on top of it all. She made sure my food came out just right and checked in to see if everything was good. Honestly, it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had, even compared to higher-end restaurants. I just wanted to take a moment to recognize her for the great service.

Our waiter, Teresa was super. She was friendly, efficient and helpful. The food came quickly and the quality was very good. It tasted fresh, well seasoned and visually appealing. The atmosphere was easy going and comfortable. We would definitely eat there again.

Our server, Alex, was very knowledgeable of the menu and had specific details on each cocktail when our large group asked specifics. He made menu recommendations and was the most polite and respectful gentleman. Our drinks stayed full the entire evening. The food was piping hot and delicious. All meals were delivered the same time which is very important to our group. Parking was easy and nice to walk to nearby bars afterwards. Alex honestly made the experience so much better.

The drinks and appetizers are the main attraction. Decent variety of draft beers, the cocktails are unique so you are sure to find something to try. I liked the fresh fruit in the sangria but I was expecting a bit more wine for that classic red color. The tuna tower was delicious, and a good portion size of tuna. The corned beef on the Ruben was tender and has a nice aioli on it. The chicken sandwich was underwhelming, and I didn’t care for the coleslaw. French fries are crispy and taste fresh. I would go back for drinks and apps. Parking is difficult to find being close to the Toyota music factory.

It is good place to go with crowd. Lot of space but over crowded. Lot of drinks and options. Not great food though.

The food was great but service could have been better. The order was mixed up but was promptly fixed. After that server was no where to be seen, until we kept on asking all servers for the check.

I have had the opportunity to sample most of the dishes on their lunch menu. The service was commendable, and the majority of the food items were quite enjoyable, though a few could benefit from some minor improvements. Specifically, the calamari, chicken wings, fish tacos, and fish and chips were all delicious. However, the orange chicken and Kung Pao chicken could be improved, as the chicken in those dishes was a bit tough. This establishment could be a suitable option for a quick office lunch.

Thirsty Lion is a pretty typical nicer end grill/bar dining experience. The food is good but nothing outstanding. Solid burgers and sandwiches for the price. Sides are decent. Brunch is probably the best meal of the day there. The drinks are good but tend to be a bit on the weaker side for the size and price. It’s a safe choice to eat but nothing has ever blown us out of the water. Worth checking out as a dining options if you’re visiting Grandscapes.

I'll keep it short and sweet. First time visiting. I only took a pic of the bacon wrapped date appetizer. Very odd tasting to my taste buds. I think it was the strong gorgonzola that ruined it for me because ive had all of these ingredients before and like em just never together in this way. I won't detail the other items we got. Maybe it was an off night for them in the kitchen and maybe the waitress was tired. Didn't seem to want to be there. I don't ever like having to come find my waitress and it was def not busy. Lots of empty tables this night. It just wasn't a pleasant visit. Food and service lacking! We spoke to the manager Matt and he was great. If we should ever return, it would be for that reason only.

I had a nice time during my first visit to Thirsty Lion. I absolutely loved the vibe at the bar. The area was spacious and open. I hate small bar areas. I had the pleasure of being served by the lovely Nicci. She was the kind of bartender that you want to have . She was friendly, very knowledgeable, and she made BANGIN drinks. Since it was my first time, I wasn’t sure what to try first. Nicci suggested the Hibiscus 🌺 Vodka Breeze. This was a big hit with me. The drink is made of vodka, hibiscus purée, muddled basil, orange and lime. The flavors mesh perfectly. It was absolutely delicious. So, I had 2. 😉 On to the main event. I had the orange chicken. Now, this is where things got interesting. The dish was different than what I am used to. Still, I had an open mind. The entree was visually what I like to see but the taste didn’t blow me away. I liked the chicken. I didn’t really love the sauce. I know. Everything was going so well. Despite my feelings about the entree, I still enjoyed myself and I will definitely be back to try more drinks made by Nicci. The next time that you want to to try a new spot, please check out Thirsty Lion at the Toyota Music Factory.

Server failed to ever bring the tea that was order and never checked on our table after the food was delivered. The burger was ordered medium but was served well done. Was the dryest burger I've had to suffer through in years.

Service was great Marvin was wonderful. Lesley was adequate. I say this because when she ask about my food and I responded she did nothing more than say " oh I'll tell them". My drinks were perfectly mixed and presented. The appetizers were good the calamari was bland, but the cheese curds were perfect. The main dish though is where they failed. The carrots were raw hard, the mash potatoes were incredibly over salted the pork tenderloin was good but because it was served over the potatoes was salted. The creme brulee was oily , runny and had a strange taste that I can't describe. Ten minutes after leaving my stomach started cramping and the night in my hotel is not enjoyable.
