Wow. Just wow! Hands down the best Mexican and American food I’ve had in years — no exaggeration. I can confidently say it’s the best Mexican food in the Dallas area. We went for lunch and ordered several dishes from the menu. Everything was perfect — fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The quality and taste here surpass any other restaurant in Dallas. Highlights from our meal: • Low & Slow Chicken over Rice – My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. • Margarita Flatbread – So tasty and scrumptious! The portion size is huge — definitely sharable. • Whiskey Bread Pudding – Rich, moist, not overly sweet, and melt-in-your-mouth good. • Onion Rings – Crispy, golden, and a must-try. If you’re in the area and love great food, this place is a must-visit. Can’t wait to come back!
Great food great service with the western Texas experience. We had the NY Strip and Bone off Ribeye. The mac and cheese has a slight smokey flavor that's makes it a top 10 mac and cheese worth trying. The portion size is enough to share. Tamekia is one of the best servers. She made our dining experience worth going back.
I had an incredible dining experience at this restaurant! From the moment I walked in, the cozy and inviting atmosphere set the perfect tone. The food was absolutely exquisite each bite was a burst of rich, mouthwatering flavors that left me wanting more. It genuinely felt like a flavor explosion in the best possible way. The service was just as impressive; the waitresses were extremely attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. I can’t wait to return to this place is a true gem!
My family and I recently had brunch here and it was a great experience. It had a rustic but modern feel to it. The staff was very accommodating for our large party (20). There were so many different food options to choose from setup in different rooms served buffet styles. They definitely had something for everyone palette even the smaller kids. I will definitely visit again soon.
What an incredible representation of Dallas with elevated comfort food with a focus on Texas-style plates and steaks. This is a home-run of an operation. The western decor was prominently featured throughout the facility. Multiple dining rooms and space for private dining groups. It was clear that they set and maintain high standards here. Everyone on the staff was professional and hospitable. When in Dallas, this spot should be on your list.
This place is absolutely fantastic. This is my third visit and I've tried something different each time. Their menu is well thought out with a variety of savory and hearty options to choose from. I had the steak on my first visit and they got that medium rare right. The steak was juicy, tender, flavorful and fresh. The redfish came highly recommended from the server on my second visit and it was on point. The generous portion of crab meat and shrimp were plenty. The chicken fried steak was another favorite on my third visit. It was lightly breaded and served with fresh green beans and mash potatoes. That jalapeno cream gravy hit home though. This place is lively, fun and the service is always impeccable. I am looking forward to returning.
This is the SPOT!!!! Great food, great service, and great people!! So good that we returned THREE TIMES, while on vacation down in dallas. The food has a lot of love and care put into it , it’s so good and fresh, and the service is great. Fried tomatoes were delicious, the steaks were great, and so was the country fried steak and chicken! i wish i had something like this in my hometown, cause it was amazing!!
Every time I visit Dallas, I try to stop for lunch or dinner at The Ranch. My go-to favorite used to be the Cadillac Burger, but it was taken off the menu a while ago. These days, I usually order the American Burger with a side of mac and cheese. The restaurant is spacious, but I recommend making a reservation for dinner or weekend brunch. The chocolate chipotle cake is still good, though I miss when it had a stronger chipotle kick in the aftertaste.
Just had one of the best dinners of my life. Amy was an incredible server and the steak was cooked perfectly and I’m picky. The Caesar salad was one of the best I’ve ever had to be honest. Now wait….this chipotle chocolate cake at first had me question it because chipotle? But it was AMAZING. The chipotle is light and a surprising nice kick. Will be coming back every time I’m in Texas.
Go here. I did and loved it. A friend of mine was here prior so we went on his recommendation. Advice = reservations. We didn’t but we’re lucky enough to ask about the outdoor seating which was quicker and was fine. Inside was beautiful. I got my usual NY Strip and it was great. I added the garlic and a type of pepper to my steak and it added a nice touch of just a little heat. Added on grilled 🍤 that were great. The tallow fries were ok. My friend got the pork belly for an appetizer for us and they were good. He loved his ribs and salad. Definitely a place to bring a planned group. I constantly go to haywire and was told The Ranch was the mother Company. I was accompanied by a friend who has never been to either and Jenna our waitress was so helpful and caring in telling my friend about the menu, specials and recommendations. Jenna was amazing to talk to and has a great personality (even wrote a congratulations note for my social media journey). You’re blessed if you have her as your waitress. I used to drive An hour to just go to haywire now I don’t. 10/10 everything!!!!!
Pre-Christmas brunch with my parents & Honey. The restaurant delivered a great experience from start to finish - from the huge Nutcracker & the beautifully decorated tree to the roaring fireplace (photo ops). The classic American dishes were well prepared, flavorful, and served in generous portions. The drink selection was strong and matched the menu perfectly. The waitstaff, Tameka, stood out for being courteous, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made the entire visit even better. This is an easy place to recommend for anyone looking for solid American cuisine and excellent service.
We decided to have a girl dinner and just split a bunch of plates between myself and my husband. We left stuffed and over the moon pleased with the whole experience. Jimmy, our waiter, was so attentive, caring, and wonderful. He asked multiple times if we had any allergens and let us know almost all items could be customized if we had requests. We got the following: - Hibiscus Haze: 7/10 non-alcoholic drink was tasty, but a little on the sweet side - Crispy Pork Belly Bites: 10/10 this might be one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. They were delicate but crunchy and oh so flavorful - Caesar Salad: 9/10 the ancho Caesar dressing was incredible, refreshing yet rich, the little gem lettuce was so soft yet with a crunch - Venison chili: 10/10 the cornbread is a perfect pairing with the chili and made this an absolute must get dish - Cornbread: 9/10 the crumb was perfect, a delicate sweetness, and you definitely should get it as a side if you don’t get the chili - Western Burger: 9/10 great textures, good balance of flavors and items, rich but NOT in a “oof I can’t keep eating this” way, the bun was so tasty too. They came with a good portion of fries too! - Bread pudding: 8/10 the cake could have been a little more moist but the texture and flavor were spot on There were people there for birthdays, date nights, anniversaries, coworker dinner night, and singles. It was a great atmosphere and whether you’re local or just visiting, you should check out this local, home cooking, farm-to-table restaurant
We were treated like royalty. We walked into this beautiful, upscale restaurant wearing tattered work overalls and barn sandals. My daughter was in her work clothes with messy hair, my nephew in worn shorts and a T-shirt, while his wife and her nephew were nicely dressed. We’re from Madill, Oklahoma, and spend our days tending animals — so we definitely didn’t look the part. None of that mattered. From the moment we sat down, we were treated like kings and queens. We were seated in a large dining room filled with full tables, and although some patrons looked at us like we were aliens, the staff made us feel completely welcome. Our service was wonderful, drinks were never empty, and the ambiance was comfortable and inviting. We ordered the Cowboy Feast with Brussels sprouts, whipped potatoes, asparagus, and green beans. We started with elk tacos and onion rings — everything was amazing. The tacos were full of flavor, and we literally fought over the onion rings. The steak was to die for — cooked perfectly with unmatched flavor. The asparagus was delicious. The Brussels sprouts had a different flavor than what I’m used to (I’m used to Southern-style), but they were still very good. We finished with a glass of sweet red wine, and even though the restaurant was closing, the staff continued to treat us with kindness and patience. We even met the manager, who was incredibly friendly and explained how they locally source their ingredients. I’ve been to many nice restaurants, but being treated so well regardless of how we were dressed will always stand out. We will absolutely be returning.
The Ranch delivered an outstanding dining experience that truly lives up to its reputation. From the moment we sat down, the service set the tone our server was exceptional, taking the time to explain every dish in detail, including the herbs, sauces, and flavor combinations. That level of care and knowledge made the meal feel thoughtful and elevated. The food itself was phenomenal. The flatbread was easily one of the best we’ve ever had. With pesto as the base, it was vibrant and aromatic, and the generous topping of roasted pecans added a deep, nutty crunch that brought everything together beautifully. Every bite was balanced and memorable. The chicken fried chicken and chicken fried steak were equally impressive—crispy on the outside, tender inside, and perfectly seasoned. What truly stood out were the sides. The beans, corn, and rice were packed with flavor and cooked with such care that we finished every last bite without hesitation. Dessert was the perfect finale. The homestead cake was incredibly moist and rich, topped with pecans drizzled in honey and finished with a subtle hint of chili. That gentle heat against the sweetness made it indulgent without being overpowering. And then there was the Old Fashioned easily a highlight of the night. Served with a crystal-clear ice cube engraved with the Texas map, it was a visual and flavorful standout. The blend of three bourbons created a smooth, complex profile. While it initially didn’t include my must-have black cherry, our server happily accommodated the request, making the drink absolutely perfect. From food to drinks to service, The Ranch excels on every level. If you’re anywhere near the Las Colinas area, this is hands down one of the best places to dine and one you’ll want to return to again.
This feels very texas comfort. Leather setting area, wood tables, and of course mounted cattle. Love it from the moment you walk in. The blueberry biscuits were a bit sweet for me but if you live donuts you will love these. Everything taste a pop of fresh and the orange juice, house steak sauce and mixed berry compo. Cyle was so very kind and helpful!! We will be back!
February monthly Couples' Dinner was at The Ranch. Our buddy had a game that night so we decided to try out lunch. We absolutely loved the decor inside and out! We were greeted warmly as we walked in and were seated fairly quickly. Our server Josh was friendly, quick, and efficient. Steaks were not listed on the brunch/lunch menu, but Josh assured us we could order it if we wanted. Hubby chose Ranch Hand Breakfast while I went with Texas Hot Chicken and Waffles. Josh brought spicy sauce to complement the chicken. Everything was yummy!! Hubby loved the bacon. We all had a great time and were happy with our choices. My bestie really loved the Bloody Mary.
Our experience at The Ranch was great! From entering the building, being seated, ordering and the end. We were greeted by kind hosts, and the lady who walked us to our table was very sweet, and called my boyfriend by his last time and ensured she pronounced it right. It wasn’t necessary by any means, but her effort into something so minute shows her dedication to make guests feel welcome. Our server was Jose. Jose was so kind, welcoming and very informative. He asked us what our allergies and restrictions were, if we had any, and informed us about specials, his favorite items on the menu & helped my honey choose a side. When our food was brought out, they actually sent my honey the wrong steak, but Jose acknowledged this, sent it back and made sure we got the right one next time. We weren’t upset at all, but the manager (I forgot his name) came by our table to apologize personally for the mistake. Little things like this show the commitment to provide guests a great experience. It was our first time here and definitely not the last. & of course, our food was delicious!
This was a fantastic experience. Exceptional service, delicious food and cocktails and a classy, Texas atmosphere. Our family of five was welcomed warmly and counseled well by Kaylee (sp?) and Jason. Kaylee guided us to the Caramel Rye Old-Fashioned, the Garlic-studded steak, chicken-fried steak and pecan pie. We also tried the Chef’s Favorite 4, the Elk Tacos and the Pork Belly Bites. Everything was tasty and well-prepared. We will be back!
Great quality food. It seemed dark as we entered but there was appropriate lightening at the table. We had wonderful service all night. We were able to hear each other talk in order to catch up and all raved over our meals. Husband had the meatloaf, I had the burger, we enjoyed the pork chop (huge!) as well as the ribs! Caesar salad was subbed for fries. Good parking.
10 stars across the board. As someone visiting from out of town, I was skeptical of seeing such a large amount of 5 star reviews. However, after my visit, I fully understand. As a restaurant owner myself, I can tell this place is run well with lots of systems that ensure each visit is consistently great!!!!! Thank you👏👏👏
Perfect for lunch on the patio! Quick and friendly service and I see why it’s so popular. We enjoyed the Chefs Fav 4 appetizer with elk tacos, queso, onion rings and fried green tomatoes. Everything was crispy and flavorful. We shared the Texas Hot Chicken Sandwich which didn’t have much heat but still tasted great. Would come again if we visit Dallas in the future!
It's been awhile since we visited The Ranch. What a happy accident it was that brought us here today. Everything was fabulous. The blueberry biscuits had a delicious dipping icing with a lemony flavor. The Western Burger topped with Venison Chili and crispy fried onions, was prepared perfectly. The Chicken Fried Chicken, substituted with delicious grilled carrots paired perfectly with the Chicken and garlic mashed potatoes. Wow, Tameka took her time understanding our special requests (like no black pepper), and everything delivered perfectly. Thank you, Joe! You're consistently delivering excellence! Only one request. Bring back the delicious coffee you used to serve. Glad to be here.
I ordered the barbecue ribs with a side of mac & cheese, and both were great. The ribs were tender and full of flavor, and the mac & cheese was honestly excellent; I was already full but couldn’t stop eating it. We also tried the tortilla soup, which was really good too. The ribs came with a corn bread that was amazing. The atmosphere was nice, and they had live music, which made the whole experience even better.
Another home run by a local eatery. Boss Lady and I came in on a cold Sunday afternoon and were blown away. First off is the decor. It's very cowboy but not over the top. She loved it, and really loved the roaring fireplace. After being seated, we ordered drinks. Their Whiskey Smash is very refreshing. She had a house salad, which was huge. I had a cup of the venison chili with cornbread... Amazing! Even she liked it (she hates wild game) and said the cornbread was the best she's had in a restaurant. She had the New York strip (medium rare) and seasoned fries. The steak was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. The fries were flavorful and crispy. The side of brussel sprouts were equally as delicious. I had the blackened catfish and shrimp with roasted Cajun corn. The seafood was seasoned very well and had a slight char to them. The corn was fresh off the cob and mixed with red peppers and other veg... delicious. Did I mention that the food was delicious? For dessert we tried their chocolate chipotle cake and the bread pudding both with a scoop of iced cream. Both were some of the best desserts we've had! Overall we had an amazing meal, a bit pricey, but well worth the cost We're already planning on coming back with friends and family.
I don't think I've had a better Steak anywhere else. This was my second time in Las Colinas and my second time at The Ranch. The first trip I splurged and had the 33oz Tomahawk Ribeye. This time I scaled it back with the 13ox Ribeye. Both were fantastic. My daughter in law has had ribs and Chicken Fried Chicken. I did sample them and they were awesome. This time was the busiest of the two and service was still prompt and friendly. I did make a reservation and I highly suggest it. There was a wait for others but not us. We were seated right away.
We were out of towners. Was there Tuesday and Thursday the week of the 19th. The first night we did not have reservations and there was a wait. The next time we made reservations and were seated on time. The burgers were great. Some very good craft cocktails. Service was very quick. My only knock would be that it is very loud and it can be difficult to have a conversation.
Everything was excellent. The service, food, drinks. Not everything was perfect but it was great. The burgers have a large bun, the fries weren't to hard or over spiced or salted. The ribs fell off the bone and had alot of meat. Flavor wasn't bad. Mac and cheese was liquidity but good, not to cheesy. Green beans were excellent. The Chipotle sauce was excellent. The pork chop had to be over 2 inches thick. If your a whiskey or bourbon drinker this place is for you. Amazing selection. Service was excellent.
Truly worth visiting. The hostess are kind but down to business and once you get to your table you are welcomed by Texas hospitality. From steak to fish, all the mains are unique and tasty! Plus wonderful appetizers and salads. Would recommend a reservation for anymore than 4 as they are usually busy!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ashley at The Ranch in Irving is absolutely phenomenal. From the moment we sat down, she was welcoming, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. She gives spot-on recommendations. We had the mezcal old fashioned and the guava margarita both were exceptional and perfectly balanced. For food, we ordered the 13 oz ribeye with chile butter and the meatloaf, and everything was cooked to perfection. Great dark atmosphere for date night!!!!!
Wow this place had some amazing food. We were here as part of a team get-together and we met at the bar first. Their drink selection is great and they even smoke drinks if you'd like. It is rare to find that. As far as floor and service... Service was provided to us by Miguel and he was really attentive to our table. If we needed something the staff quickly took care of it. The food was amazing. I had a 18oz bone in ribeye and wow it was cooked to perfection. Came with a side and I ordered brussel sprouts, these were by far best out of any place I have eaten at in a while. Very good door, I would highly recommend.
This is by far the best grilled striped bass I’ve ever had. The fish melts in your mouth, perfectly tender and full of flavor. The sides, grilled baby zucchini, charred corn, and pickled tomatoes, were cooked to perfection and complemented the dish beautifully. The greens on top added a refreshing crunch with a delicious dressing that tied everything together. The setting iis warm and comfortable, blending rustic wood interiors with elegant touches like chandeliers and soft lighting. Whether you’re seated near the bar with its colorful neon signs or in the dining area surrounded by cozy leather chairs, the ambiance makes the whole experience memorable. Our waiter took a little longer to take our order, but the restaurant was very busy, so it was completely understandable. Once the order was placed, the food arrived surprisingly fast and everything was spot-on. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in Irving.

I had an exceptional dining experience, savoring the succulent pork chops served in a generous portion—each bite was delectable. The Brussels sprouts were among the finest I've tasted, and the ribeye steak was outstanding. While the prices were steep, the quality of the food justified the
My first visit to The Ranch did not disappoint. Great atmosphere and the food was perfect. I went alone and decided to sit at their full service bar. I didn't know what to order so, I asked my bartender, Michael, for suggestions. The guy was spot on with his recommendation of the Vaquero Shrimp for my appetizer. The shrimp was plump and fried perfectly. Definitely will order again on my next visit. Next he suggested the chicken fried steak with the regular sides of green beans and mashed potatoes. The chicken fried steak was tender enough to cut with my fork and flavored well( ketchup not needed). I also enjoyed a well- made Old Fashioned. Service was top notch. Michael also told me about the Farm to Table program for the restaurant. Everything possible is sourced from Texas farms and ranches. To sum up my experience, well let's just say, I'll be back. Truly a place for treating your date to a great dining experience.
This place is such a cute restaurant if you want to dress up country and enjoy some good steaks. The sangria was especially yummy and the Christmas decorations are Hallmark meets Yellowstone. This is a great place to bring families or have a big group or just a couple of friends I highly recommend
We just had dinner at The Ranch and WHOOO BOY! The Western Burger was our favorite. Their ranch dressing is divine. The Texas mule was *chef’s kiss* and our server, Michael L. was amazing. He was patient while we looked at the menu and let my 8 year old be independent and order without rushing her. (God bless him! She felt so grown up!) we will absolutely be back!
You know the restaurant you are going to is good when it's almost full on a weekday. Went for Dinner on a Monday evening. Made advanced reservation and quickly realized we might end up 30 minutes before the scheduled time. Texted them and they immediately replied back asking the preferred time. Came in on time, checked in with the reception and within less than a couple of minutes, we were led to our table. The waitress came in pretty quickly took in our orders and then the rest is history. Food came in pretty quick and was amazing. Kudos to the entire team! Amazing place, very friendly staff and highly recommended!
I have probably have been to The Ranch close to a dozen times over last 8 years. Some work lunches and family dinners. It has always been pretty solid service and food. It has ranged from very quiet to loud (live band) and very busy. Have tried a number of different entrees here but oddly have never had a steak here. Someday. Pictured here are the elk tacos, which are great. Hard shell tacos that do not crumble into a thousand pieces when you bite into them. The taste of the elk meat is not really that exotic and has a texture very close to ground beef but a little more lean.
Had a wonderful dinner. Asked the waiter for his recommendations and he delivered. The chicken fajitas were moist and flavorful. The ceviche was wonderful. And when I asked for a sweet cocktail, he surprised with a bourbon mix and it was one of the most delicious cocktails I've had. Only thing to be aware of is that two entrees, an appetizer and 3 drinks will run you around $150 but the food is VERY delicious.
We came here because two friends loved it so much the day before they had to come back. Great atmosphere, NY Steak with garlic butter amazing, good wine selection, sides were really special too. Ordered bread pudding which I never do, and it was really special. Our server Michael L provided exceptional service, gave great recommendations, and was all around wonderful. I’ll be back with friends for sure.
I had no clue what to expect coming here. Seen a local place that I had never been too and it was nothing less than great. Walked in a told there was upwards of an hour wait. My group was deciding to not wait and they somehow made room and got Us in right away since some group didn’t show. The waitress not was so nice and attentive and knowledgeable about the whole menu and prices but her recommendations were fantastic. The portions were perfect and the food was perfect cooked and seasoned. The prices were reasonable especially being farm to table ( literally ) they fried in oil so clean I could taste it. The drinks were good if I come back to Dallas this is 100% a stop I would come to again and bring everyone I know too. Don’t miss on this spot. It’s busy for a reason!
My husband and I ate here tonight and it was so amazing! We have never eaten here before as we are from out of town and chose this reastuarant at random. We so enjoyed our experience from our drinks to our desert as well as the atmosphere. Jenna was an amazing waitress and not only had a wonderful personality but a knowledge of the restaurant and menu which surpassed anything I have ever experienced. Please give this girl a raise and shower her with praises. She is absolutely amazing! Not to mention, our food was fresh, flavorful and filling! Definitly recommend this place to everyone. It is worth every penny! Thank you for a wonderful experience.
This is a fantastic restaurant, perfect for both office and family gatherings. The food is always fresh and delicious, with the onion rings and chicken tenders being standout favorites. We've celebrated my birthday here as well as several office events, and the restaurant has consistently exceeded our expectations. It's definitely one of our family's top choices in Irving.
We chose this spot for our anniversary dinner, and it could not have been more perfect. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere set the tone—beautiful, relaxed, and made even better with live music. The food was absolutely delicious, the desserts were a perfect ending to the night, and the mocktails were top-tier (so flavorful and thoughtfully made). Huge shoutout to our server, who was amazing—attentive, friendly, and made us feel truly celebrated. Such a memorable evening. We’ll definitely be back for another special night! 💛🎶🍽️
This place is amazing. The atmosphere is off the chain. You can have live music go to the bar sit outside. You have so many options. The food and service are top-notch if you’re looking for a special spot to go out and have a good time look no further great food good drinks excellent serviceplenty of parking clean restrooms. What more could you ask for 10 out of 10 100% recommend the management team is wonderful here. If you sit in the back at the outdoor seating, you might even be able to see the lake. If you sit in the front with the outdoor seating, you can bring your Pet and there’s also a fireplace there’s spaces inside that you can rent for private parties and events.
✨The VIP Experience – A Family Lunch to Remember✨ This was our first time dining at The Ranch, and from the moment we walked in, it felt like we were stepping into something special. We came for a celebratory lunch with our two sons, ages 5 and 7, and let me tell you—they were treated like little kings. And then came Temeka—our amazing server and the absolute soul of this experience. Her grace, warmth, and attentiveness turned our lunch into a full-on celebration. She didn’t just take care of us—she saw us. Her energy was the cherry on top of an unforgettable afternoon. Now, let’s talk food and drinks because wow. We kicked things off with the Branding Iron Onion Rings, and I’m not exaggerating when I say they were a 10/10—crispy perfection stacked like a golden tower of joy. For entrées, the Wagyu Chicken Fried Steak was everything Texas cuisine should be—rich, tender, comforting, and completely crave-worthy. The filet? So tender it practically whispered sweet nothings as it melted in our mouths. Our boys happily devoured their meals and the fact that they were treated with such care made the entire lunch even more meaningful. And yes—we sipped and savored. The Guava Jalapeño Margarita was the perfect mix of heat and sweet, like a little tropical vacation with a Texas twist. And the El Vaquero Old Fashioned? Smooth, bold, and beautifully balanced. A proper slow sip that made us feel like we had nowhere to be but right there, enjoying life. The ambiance was inviting and laid-back, perfect for a family outing but still polished enough to feel like a treat. Every moment—from appetizer to goodbye—was wrapped in intention, heart, and good ol’ Texas hospitality. We didn’t just have lunch. We made a memory. Thank you, Temeka and The Ranch team, for making us feel like VIPs. We’ll be back—with hearts (and bellies) wide open.
We loved everything we had! We got the chef's favorite appetizer with queso, onion rings, elk tacos, and fried green tomatoes and enjoyed all of it. For our main courses, we got a NY strip with brocolini and the pork chop with brussel sprouts. Everything was extremely flavorful and the pork chop was the most tender we've ever had. Phenomenal! For dessert we ordered the bread pudding and it just hit the spot!
We were there on one of the days they have live music and most of the food we got was good, except my steak salad. My friend and I both ordered the steak salad and I requested medium rare. My food ended taking a while to come out after everyone got their food. When I got it, both ends of the steak seemed well done, with the middle rare like I wanted. Not sure what went wrong but I ended up sending it back. Other than that, we had a good time.
Went on a date with my husband. Very nice atmosphere. It’s the sister chain of Haywire in Plano. Our server was amazing, we did get there before closing but never did anyone make us feel rushed and the server always took her time with us. She was awesome. She explained the menu explained all the options. What was the best on the menu and very thorough she knew what she was talking about food was 10 out of 10 that drinks were 10 out of 10. The atmosphere was a 10 out of 10 definitely would be back.
The place is really nice — tons of space inside and out. The Chef’s Favorite appetizer plate was okay at best. The onion rings and fried tomato were greasy, the tacos were dry, and the chips with queso were just fine. The burger was just good, and the Farmhouse Bowl (got it without protein) was also a hit — super fresh with a flavorful dressing. But the real winner of the night was the redfish — very flavorful and easily the standout dish.
The food is great, wonderful selection and interesting options. It is difficult to carry on a meaningful conversation, it is difficult to hear. Also be prepared to sit back and bask in the ambience, the food is truly delicious and takes time, so if you are on a tight schedule, you may want to save this experience for a more relaxed time.
We ended up here after not having a great experience at another restaurant. We got a table on Saturday night within less than 30 mins. We had the chicken Cobb salad, low and slow chicken, and chicken fried steak. They were all pretty big portions. We took leftovers. 2 out of our party of 3 were celebrating birthdays so we got pecan pie and the chocolate cake to go. Our waiter was really pleasant as well so we ended on a good note. Only thing I can say when it was getting close to closing time we got the stare 👀 like they were waiting for us to leave instead of saying something 😆. We were clock watching ourselves so 🤷🏽♀️. Otherwise a good experience. I’d recommend and go back.
The service was great. I ordered the chicken and waffles. The meal was very good. I think my meal was cooked first so when I received it it was as hot as I would've preferred. Everyone else enjoyed there meals. I would definitely recommend.
Not as great on our recent visit as they have been in the past. The fries were cold. I asked for my salad dressing on the side and didn't get that. The burger was tasty and the salad was very good, but I'm so used to this place having top notch food. It's disappointing when something you count on lets you down. The staff was friendly and helpful as always. It's a wonderful place with such a fun vibe. We hope this was a one off.
The Ranch is a unique Texas experience you’ll want to bring your out of towner friends to. This place is extremely popular so you’ll want to get reservations. It’s near impossible to find a table for more than 4 even during the weekdays without an extended wait. The food is great and they serve some really tasty cuts of steak and pork chops! They’re really tender and juicy and there’s so much flavor in every bite.
We visited The Ranch just before noon on a Saturday, but had reserved a table beforehand. It was fairly quiet when we arrived, but was slowly filling up. It’s clearly somewhere that when full, would have a great atmosphere. Good traditional feel about the place, which has been well constructed and furnished. The outside areas looked good and would also have a great atmosphere when busy. We were seated quickly and our waitress was excellent for the whole time, making sure we were looked after for all our needs, as well as being friendly and happy to chat with us. The menu is a good solid offering of traditional Texas food, with just the right amount of options. Food came quickly and was excellent. Good flavour and plenty on the plate. I’d recommend coming here, but would suggest attending when it’s a little busier.
Frozen margarita, Chips/queso, chipotle chocolate layer cake were amazing!! Cake is big enough to split between 3people, and comes with really good vanilla ice cream. I would not suggest the spice chicken tortia soup - 2 very small pieces of chicken, majority tomato sauce, it’s actually not spicy either (I say a lot of things are spicy)
We had a fantastic lunch at The Ranch! It was the perfect halfway point to meet a friend. The Texas decor, open fire ovens, and fireplaces created a great ambiance. I tried the Thursday special, a Prime Rib Sandwich with Tallow fries, it was a huge portion I was unable to finish. My wife raved about her spicy tortilla soup (and she's picky about soup!), while our friend enjoyed the prime rib sandwich too. We all shared the bread pudding for dessert which stole the show the perfect ending to the meal. Comfortable seating, great service, and good value. Definitely a keeper.
Our waitress seemed extremely annoyed when I let her know we were ready to order after waiting a decent amount of time for her to come over on her own. It was my dad and his GFs first time there but me and my husband’s 3rd time and service was fine in the past…. She kept that same energy all night. Left her a nice tip even though she didn’t deserve it…..
Had a business dinner at the Ranch with a couple colleagues. First time the Ranch. Very big steakhouse. Lots of room inside and outside. We had to wait only a couple of minutes at 6pm on a Monday night. We sat outside which was nice but was disappointed with the shaggy artificial turf. I had their mixed bowl topped with steak. The steak was really chewy and I didn’t enjoy the bowl either as it was very dressed up. Not worth the price.
I really liked the western atmosphere and the service was excellent. I started with the bourbon smash which was a great drink. The food was really inconsistent, some excellent dishes and some not. We shared the “chefs favorite 4” but it was way too much for two people. We loved the thick crispy onion rings and queso but the tacos were dry and tomatoes mediocre. We chose the ribs and meatloaf for entrees. The ribs had way too much rub and were spicy and somewhat dry, didn’t like them at all. The meatloaf was good but not spectacular. I will say this was the best cornbread I have ever had! SO good. We finished with the pecan pie. A huge slice but way way too dense and the crust was super thick. Overall a mixed bag.
This place is pretty neat. Think Fort Worth ranch-y Texan vibe meets Dallas city folk culture. It’s really nice but not so fancy that it feels unwelcoming. Lots of seating is available which is nice. I’ve been two times now once with colleagues another with friends. My first visit I got a pizza omg so tasty. Waiter was eh. The tacos however were not my cup of tea. Second visit I got chicken fried steak- very hard to chew honestly. But the mashed taters were fire. This time waiter was better for sure. Drinks are overall good I preferred moscato over the guava margarita I got. Recommend getting reservations I’d come again but it is pretty pricey so be prepared for a hefty bill especially if you get any alcoholic drinks.
The drinks were not good and the waiter did not listen well. The food we ordered was good, particularly enjoyed the fried green tomatoes. Not a fan of their espresso martini because it's made with coffee instead of liqueur
We rented a semi-private area at the Ranch for my dad’s 60th birthday and the service, food and atmosphere were 10/10. Everything about the evening itself was perfect. Our server, Bridgett, was working our 35 person party and went above and beyond to accommodate us. The bartender, Alec, was amazing. He made the best drinks and had great recommendations. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend hosting a large party event here due to my experience working with the events manager, Roxie. The first thing is that she was nearly impossible to get ahold of over the phone (I would leave messages and never get a call back), she ignored questions I had via email, and overall made me feel like I was just another number in the system not worthy of her time. I would ask for recommendations, and she would just ignore it. It seemed like she took no joy or pride whatsoever in planning events for guests — like she didn’t care at all. And that is the complete opposite disposition of anyone who should be working in hospitality. The second thing is applying gratuity to tax. When she sent me the final bill, the 20% gratuity was applied to the total bill, including the tax. I asked her about this and said not only was this not standard practice in hospitality, but that this contradicted the contract I signed which stated that the 20% gratuity “will be assessed on the subtotal amount of the final bill”. She responded by saying the Ranch is not a “standard” restaurant, and that this is how they structure billing for all events — completely ignoring the point I raised about the contract verbiage contradicting this. She then asked if I would like to move forward with the event or cancel - literally 5 days before, as if that was an option. It felt like I was being nickel-and-dimed, and gaslit into thinking it is normal to apply gratuity on tax, when it absolutely is not. It isn’t about the money - it’s about the principle, and about how she handled the discrepancy, on top of being less-than-helpful leading up to this point. Edit to add: even when the proof of contract discrepancy was brought up (see screenshot) the inclination of management is NOT to do right by the customer, which is to honor the contract. As great as the event ended up being (thanks to the service staff), I don’t think I can recommend anyone actually plan an event here solely due to the headache of planning it. If I could do it all over again, I’d have picked somewhere else.
I was shocked at how bustling and busy this place was at 7pm on a random Wednesday evening. The place was so busy it was almost overwhelming but nevertheless we were able to get in quickly and the hostesses and waitress were very nice and serviceable despite being very busy. This is not a place to go have a conversation because it is very loud in addition to being dark so please keep that in mind if you or anyone in your party has sensory issues. For an appetizer we shared the local cheese plate which was okay but not great especially for the price. We also shared the ribs with the Mac and cheese. The ribs were falling off the bone and the Mac and cheese was different from what you would expect however I enjoyed it. Overall if you don't mind a super noisy busy dinner then you'll have fun at the ranch
Very fancy atmosphere with great service. Servers are very attentive and add to the atmosphere because they are all dressed in classic western wear including cowboy hats. So it's a fun place to take out of state visitors. As far as the food though, we were told they were known for their steaks, which were expensive starting at $40 and go up from there, so we all chose a 13oz ribeye. Only because they didnt have good aged beef as most steak houses at those price points usually would, which I found strange. To be perfectly honest it was just okay and they got my temperature wrong. I ordered medium rare and I got medium. Also my steak could have used some seasoning. It was served with one side so we all got garlic mashed potatoes that were not real potatoes as we were told they would be. Part of the servers spill was to tell us that all vegetables are purchased fresh locally from farms, but I can spot instant potatoes from a mile away and those absolutely were not fresh. Now, all that said, I would absolutely recommend the pork belly appetizer though! As good as it was I was super excited, thinking our main entree would be just as amazing but unfortunately it was a let down. Overall, I would be willing to give it another try for sure to sample some other things on their menu. Other items seemed completive in price with other similar, higher scale restaurants in that area for things like chicken fried steak, etc. and I would like to see if those items were as good as that pork belly is! One recommendation is that the servers remove plates and pack your to go food for you. Most higher rated restaurants of this caliber usually do that, but here they just brought you a flimsy cardboard box that soaked through by the time we got it home.
Been coming to The Ranch for many years. The food is solid. The atmopshere is great. This one particular visit during a Friday lunch we were seated at the bar. No problem. However, during our visit the bartender never introduced himself, the bartender never checked on us, the bartender never asked if we wanted to order appetizers, or even desert. We were going to do all that but immediately stopped after I noticed the mannerisms. The bar tender never offered a refill on water, or drinks. I've been in the hospitality industry for 30+ years. I understand it gets busy. We weren't asking for world class 5-star service. We were looking for basic hospitality when ordering a $60+ lunch. I would still reccomend this place, but do not sit at the bar area unless you want mediocre service.
What happened, this place used to be pretty good. We went for my daughter's birthday and wished we never went. Took over an hour to get our food for the four of us and we kept seeing people being seated and then leaving so we finally asked and the waiter went to go check. Magically the food was ready. But there was a problem. The two steaks were cold and so was the chicken. I guess the waiter forgot it or something. So we told the waiter and he went to i guess a lady mgr. She offered to make new ones but we did not have the time to wait any longer. Then she offered some kinda dessert and we declined. They ended up comping one steak and we paid for the rest. We asked for a to go box. I figured since I was paying for it I might as well take it home for our dog. What a disappointment.
Went here for a work dinner and it all tasted great, we were enjoying ourselves have a great conversation after dinner. When I noticed something crawling on the bench seat next to the person across from me. As I told them there was a bug on the seat next to them we both took a closer look and could see it was a cockroach that ran next to her leg and into the crack of the bench seat. We left our leftovers and told management on the way out. They have a lot of open space, doors and windows but still gross.
