Great food, service & drinks! We were here during happy hour, so it took advantage of the two for one drinks. We each had two tequila sunrises, which were delicious. Started off with the octopus guacamole appetizer, also delicious, and then I had stuffed chicken with vegetables and potatoes, and my husband had a burrito. Definitely recommend those dishes :) I thought the food was reasonably priced - Especially considering the quality and portion size. We did not eat the pork chop, but it looked amazing… That will be what I will order on my next visit!

Don’t sleep on this place. The stuffed grouper was amazing. Shrimp perfectly cooked. Cocktails really good. Best dining experience I had on Isla during a six night stay.

We came here as it seemed like the best place to get a lobster. It also had a lot of build up as our son who is not adventures when it comes to food declared he was going to try lobster. Of course he didn't like it but that is ok. My wife and I shared a lobster and a steak. It is rare that I would have a hard time deciding between steak and lobster but in this case it was a hard choice. The steak gave the lobster a run for its money as it was perfectly cooked and had great flavor. The lobster was huge and also tasted great. Overall I enjoyed every bit of my food and I have one regret of the trip and that is not finding time to come back to this location. This should be a must for anyone going to the Island.

Went to Freddy’s our first night on the island. Had the Grouper Verde and watermelon margarita. The food was great. The margarita delicious and Freddy was a terrific host. I hear the pork chops is to die for so we plan on going back and having some of those.

I heard for years about Fredys pork chop being good but we usually stay off Hildalgo because its too loud, too many different musics playing. After a long travel day and a few of our favorite restaurants were closed, we had no choice so to Fredys we went. The pork chop was amazing!!! Service was great. Freddy was very nice. So glad we went!

We stopped in for a drink after we had dinner. 10/10 a great experience. Fredy was very personable and made great conversation with us as we had our drinks. Makes an awesome margarita! Will definitely be returning here when we come back.

Best place to try shrimps on the island. It’s not a touristy place, but food and drinks are amazing. We went there multiple times. Fredy is a very nice person and the service is good. On new year’s eve we got free unlimited shoots of tequila. I recommend this place very much. PS to the owner: please remove white and black russian from the cocktail list. It’s not politically correct.

After years of coming to Isla Mujeres, we finally made it to Fredy’s to try the famous pork chop dinner and it was fabulous. Highly recommend. Not on the menu but they also had a pork rib special that was also fabulous. I think I understood the pork rib to be a regular feature on weekends.

We had been looking forward to having grouper at Fredy's but when we got there he let us know that he was out of fish for the day and if that's what we were looking for, we had better come back in a couple of days. He could have served a table for 8 and we'd be disappointed. Needless to say we came back. He was ready for us and had one of the best meals here. I would highly recommend Fredy and not just for the fish! Thank you Fredy!

Fredy's does ribs by reservation, so I couldn't resist going for a plate last Saturday. This is the before foto, they were tender and delicious. His veggies are cooked to perfection too. Know for their amazing pork chop, I often eat the shrimp brochetta also. Wonderful place, local family owned, and as always great people watching on Hidalgo street.

On a busy touristic street with merchants stopping by but the food and drinks were very good and fairly priced. I has the garlic grilled octopus which was cooked perfectly and flavorful!

Great tacos. Fresh, without gloppy sauce. Try the pork chop for a great dinner. Good service. First time I was there I asked " tell me about your pork chop. " He said " It's dead pig!". Funny guys but seriously good food.

No better way to spend a Saturday night than Fredys special..3 tacos & a beer @100 pesos! Trust me & get the chorizo Live music next door is great. Out the door for $20US for 2 easy Highly recommend!

I tried for the first time their Chicken Flautas with the green sauce. Nicely plated, lightly deep-fried, with a sprinkle of lettuce and cheese. They were simply delicious!

La comida estuvo normal, 2 personas, 1 tacos dorados y 1 guacamole, 1 Michelada y 2 cervezas se nos fue el presupuesto a 790$Mx. Vamos casi 40€ por lo que pedimos se me hace caro, otro motivo por el que les doy 2 estrellas es que nos quiso cobrar un 5% más por pagar con tarjeta, lo cual he leído que no es legal. En fin por esos precios hay mejores cosas en la isla

Slow service. Wait staff are very nice. Ok if no line and going with just a couple but a small group of 6 overwhelms them. Drinks were cheaper than surrounding areas but nothing special in my opinion.

I would have put 4 stars as the chaparrito waiter with the glasses that attended us at first was excellent, but then the older waiter who seemed to be the boss took over and it was a total disaster. The place was empty when we sat down at 6pm, in an hour it was full, we were still drinking and eating and he wanted to kick us out, so other people would sit at our table... When I refused him to take our plates he shouted "se urge". It means "it's urgent". If there is a limited time to sit down at his restaurant, he should warn the customers. Such an unpleasant and insulting experience... The food was mediocre by the way.

La atención es pésima, si no sos yankee directamente te ignora y el servicio es nulo. Lo que dice la carta no es lo que te sirven, siempre hay faltante de algún ingrediente. Y el ambiente es feo feo. Y por último, queríamos pagar con tarjeta y nos dijo que era solo cash, cuando me paré para ir a un cajero a 3 cuadras mágicamente apareció una terminal, pero al cobrarnos con la terminal nos dijo que no funcionaba cuando el pago ya se había efectuado, y encima con un 10% más de lo que era la cuenta final sin consultarnos ni avisarnos. Nunca nos entregó ticket y tuvimos que ver en nuestro banco porque quería cobrarnos dos veces 🤌🏻

El día anterior vinimos a cenar y todo bien, volvimos en la mañana para desayunar porque vimos en el menú que tenían desayunos. Pedimos el sándwich FIT PANELA y llegó lleno de pelos, en teoría el sándwich lleva pollo y no había pollo por ningún lado, le reclamamos a la mesera por los pelos y nos dijo q eso eran pelos de la cereza que lleva el plato, cosa imposible porque la cereza no tiene pelos. Al final le dijimos que se llevara el plato pero en ningún momento pidieron disculpas por la presentación del sándwich. También pedimos el COOMBO FREDY’S y las fresas sabían a cebolla, como si las hubieran cortado con el mismo cuchillo que la cebolla. Somos turistas y la verdad que quedamos bastante decepcionados de la atención del lugar.

freddy el dueno , nos sirvio nuestra comida. Primeramente nuestra comida fue servida con mucho tiempo de espera. nunca nos pidio que queriamos de tomar. Luego cuando pedimos nuestra cuenta . el nos comento que no se podia " su comentario fue aqui esta el menu ustedes aganlo. Y porque voy a serlo yo?? ni siquiera me van a dejar propina. y que nunca regresaramos a su restaurante.Pienso que le importaba mas la propina que servirnos nuestra comida. piensenlo dos veces amigos, gasten su dinero en otro restaurante " que en realidad el nueno demuestra cortesia y agradecimiento. por que los clientes son los que mantienen los negosios vivos"" si prodiera dejar 0 estrella lo aria!!!

Was tricked by the waiter for 2 for 1 drinks. They have different menus with the same prices, probably one for tourists and one for locals? Rated 2 for atmosphere because you can enjoy the violinist playing for the restaurant opposite between 6pm to 9pm.
