There are no words to describe the fabulous dinner we had. From the first bite of the delectable bread, to exquisite main courses and scrumptious desserts, Landmark is an incredible restaurant. It will not disappoint!! Five stars are not near enough.
We have been to many fine restaurants and I was a little apprehensive about this restaurant as I looked at the menu online. The prices are low compared to other fine dining restaurants, so my expectations were not very high. To my great surprise this place is wonderful. Very clean and kept up, staff was very polite and attentive, the meals were all very tasty and plenty large enough. They could raise there prices 25% and it would still be a great value. I don’t give very many 5 stars but this one is really 5 stars.
Had the most delicious meal. Never have I seen a bigger pork chop, took up 3/4 of the plate . It was done just right, tender and wonderful. My husband said he wants to go back to get another. Yumm.
This was our first time there. Our waitress was very friendly. Was knowledgeable. The food was amazing!!! Everyone truly enjoyed their food even my picky uncle who thinks he is a food critic. Plan on going back in two weeks for our anniversary.
Warm, cozy atmosphere for an enjoyable new years eve on the town. Cocktails were high quality and affordable (I thought my bill was incorrectly too low...). It was nice to see familiar faces, especially Gabe.
My absolute favorite place to get dinner in the area. Have been a couple dozen times and everything I've tried has been prepared well and tasted great! The staff is always friendly, attentive, and the atmosphere is very homey. If you're looking for a good meal in or around Jamestown, this is the best option by far in my opinion.
The prices are a little bit higher than the restaurants in the area, but they offer fine dining, and work quite hard to please their guests. I had stomach surgery a month ago, so went on a rather restricted diet. I couldn't order anything from the menu, but the chef made what I needed and wanted without anyone once saying, "we can't.. " Our party was there for 2.5 hours and we had constant attention for drinks, etc. While I said the prices are a little higher, we still had seven for under $300. We all had appetizer and dessert too! The creme brulee is excellent.
We took a road trip from Ohio for Mothers day to Seneca casino and didn't want to eat at the casino. I found this little gem on the way home. We didn't have reservations, but the host and owners were able to accommodate us immediately. Our server was right there with waters and took out drink order. We had appetizers of delicious artichokes, figs with goat cheese, sausage wrapped in bacon with a delicious sauce, and the best stuffed homemade sausage in peppers. Service was excellent. No waiting! Complimentary bread and butter. We ordered filet tornadoes with homemade garlic mashed potatoes and blue cheese sauce. You get 2 nice size filets. Also ordered veal parmesan that was cooked perfectly with a side of pasta..huge portions. We couldn't eat it all and had to box it up. Their dessert menu is incredible with all in house homemade desserts. Had a flourless chocolate torte with raspberry coulis sauce to enjoy at home. If you are in the downtown Jamestown area this is a must stop to dine. Reservations suggested. We will definitely be back to try their wonderful menu selections. Thank you for such a wonderful dinner experience to start my Mothers day weekend.
This meal was so delicious! The bread was soft and hist the right salty. I had the coconut shrimp, which was one of the best I have ever had. My husband had the Foley's and crab cake meal and the filets were perfectly done and divine. Our dessert of the flourless chocolate cake was the cherry on the top of sm excellent meal. Its beairufuk inside and the staff attentive and nice.
My wife & I went to Landmark for our anniversary dinner and we could not have been happier. From our phone call to ensure that they were open all the way through to our dessert, everything was professional, helpful and of course delicious. It was a Wednesday night, so they weren't extremely busy and we walked right in. The host asked us if we wanted to sit in the bar, but we let him know that it was our anniversary and we wanted something a little more romantic. The gentleman was very nice and seated us in the dinning room, but in an area that was a little more secluded. It was exactly what we were looking for. Our salads were very good with the Greek Goddess ranch dressing, the bread with their oil for dipping was amazing and we shared a bowl of their crab bisque soup, which was outstanding! Our main dishes were both extremely good and the Peanut Butter Cheese Cake Tart dessert was the perfect ending to our anniversary date. If you're ever visiting the Jamestown area like we were, then we'd definitely suggest trying out Landmark. We're very glad that we did.
Food was good, lamb chops were cooked as requested. However, not well seasoned.
beautiful array of lamb chops, so tasty best I've had even better than Charleston, SC. onion soup delicious and roasted vegetables were awesome. great atmosphere. make a reservation
Wonderful. Truly comfort food, but also Italian and Seafood. The best. Great service, atmosphere. Wonderful wonderful people. Cant say enough good things about it. Off the beaten path a bit, but worth the few minutes drive to get there. ENJOY !!!!
One of the best 2-3 places in Jamestown for a finer dining experience. Whether you're a local resident or a traveler, if you're checking the reviews on this establishment I feel you can rely on the 1st statement I made. Great place! Yes it's possible to get the occasional slower service, or imperfect food preparation, etc. but if that risk is too high, perhaps cook at home..?
This is THE place to eat downtown. Great meals, great service, competitive prices for the product. Bar, lounge, and main room seating. Best restaurant wine selection in the city, huge menu that always delivers. Been here dozens of times, never had a bad meal. Best seafood in the city. Clean, friendly, attentive. Legitimately a city asset.
I'm not here a lot, because I had cancer and can't swallow, but they help find something I can swallow. My husband loves the meals here, not one he didn't like. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law comes here a lot. They have a the best bar tender Rick or Rich. Add the waitress Morgan was very good. She was on top of everything you need, and we wanted a slow dinner, and she did well with that. She doesn't know yet, but she will get a very good tip. We will be back very soon.
One of the best meals I have had anywhere. The restaurant is gorgeous inside, the staff was incredibly attentive (often knowing what I wanted before I could ask), and a wonderful place for a great conversation. Absolutely phenomenal, Jamestown is lucky to have this gem!
Great restaurant. Our favorite date night spot in Jamestown. Food is perfect everytime. Great service. Beautiful dining room. You will not be disappointed.
Outstanding! Best meal we have had anywhere in a long time. All our food was amazing. Service was spectacular. Will definitely visit again soon.
Called last minute for reservations. They were able to accommodate but had to alter the time. Staff was great. A couple of times there were delays, but the dining room was nearly full and we could see our waiter had his hands full. Our drinks were served cold and our dinners were hot. We did not feel ignored... he offered apologies for the delays. Just gave us more time to enjoy our experience. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was relaxing. A lovely experience.
Our dinner was fantastic, as always! The food is wonderful, the service very friendly, professional and accommodating, and the ambiance is lovely. And our portions seemed even bigger tonight than previously! And don't forget dessert after your wonderful meal - so many to choose from, but the Coconut Cream Cheese Tart is to die for! 😋
We were so surprised by this restaurant! The atmosphere was wonderful! So tastefully decorated. We ate in the dining room. Our waiter was terrific and the food was great! I’d call it a hidden gem for anyone from out of town. We traveled from Erie and would go back in a heartbeat! The deserts were to die for!
We had such a spectacular dinner! The seafood was delicious and so was the pork chop and veal. The service was excellent. Tony was attentive and helpful. The dining room is warm, with a beautiful fireplace and a living room feel. The building is so interesting with plenty of character. Definitely a great find in Jamestown!
After not dining indoors for a while, we dipped our toes back into the dining room, so glad we choose Landmark. Our meals were lovely, the appetizers were perfect. Our entrees, chicken, tuna , steak and bowl dish were all wonderful. The black and blue tuna entree was especially excellent. Definitely will dine here more often.
Was really good, we stopped in late on sat night and they got us a table. I had lasagna with three twist. It was excellent and fresh tasting. My husband had steak and potatoes. The steak was tender and delicious. Would definitely eat here again and recommend it to anyone.
This place is so quaint inside...always beautifully decorated. Now they have a new outdoor seating area with a covered roof and fire place. The food here is superb. I've never had one thing here that wasn't made to perfection. The bartenders and wait staff literally go out of their way to make your evening perfect in every way. So very fortunate to have this amazing restaurant close to us. It's a 5* by far!!!
Amazing food and atmosphere! Booked for two via email for an intimate evening and was very pleased with the experience. The avocado rolls and stuffed mushroom caps were delicious, and the highlight of both the seafood norfolk and the salmon and scallops was definitely the scallops - they were large and done perfectly! Service was excellent and we really enjoyed ourselves.
Excellent food. All three of us had various seafood dishes, which were enjoyed by all. Only small downside was we were seated next to a bookcase with another couple in the opposite side and I was privy to every word they spoke. I'd definitely recommend.
Very nice, white tablecloths and excellent service. Our appetizers and meals were perfection!
My first visit to Landmark Restaurant in Jamestown NY. What a great place for dinner. The Restaurant environment is very nostalgic. . One can sit in the Bar area which has dinner available. Plus an elegant dining room. Prices are very reasonable. The restaurant staff is very friendly and professional. I ordered a steak dinner in the dining room of the Bar area. What a great evening I had with my family and friends. Highly recommend.
We had the Norfolk seafood and a couple of appetizers and the food was amazing. Great atmosphere and great staff!
First time there, experience was great! Food, everything was delicious! Bread sticks are amazing! Our server Missy did an excellent job for us. Will definitely be going there again
Fabulous food, fantastic setting and wonderful service. I had Salmon with Sweet Pea Risotto and my husband had Blackened Tuna. Every mouthful was to savour. The only downside was that we we're too full to enjoy a dessert! Our waitress looked after us impeccably without being over bearing & was perfect, thank you! Landmark was recommended to us by the lovely Jean from The Comfort Inn.
This place is amazing, my grandparents took me here to celebrate graduation. The food, atmosphere, and staff were fantastic. To start, the restaurant is very nice, you can sit in the dining room or go to the bar and enjoy food off of the bar menu. We ate in the main dining room where the menu is more extensive. I had the rack of lamb and it was the best lamb I ever had, the black bean and bacon puree it comes with is phenomenal, I posted a picture of it as well so check it out. Everybody really enjoyed their meals and next time we're in Jamestown we are definitely coming back. The reason I mentioned graduation earlier was because our waitress was so kind and fun that through conversation with her she found out that I had graduated that day. So she brought me and my sister (who also graduated) two gigantic slices of Baked Alaska, for free! I posted a picture of this as well, the whole thing from the crust to the strawberries was just so good. I highly recommend this restaurant, and will most definitely be returning again in the future.
Second time we've been there, both times in a Thursday. Two weeks ago, had Joe as our waiter, he was fabulous. Food is delicious ,but the service from Joe two weeks ago and then we had Tony tonight. Don't know who took care of us better💓 We drive 70 miles one way. So worth it. Thank you🍽️🍽️
Incredible food and cooked to perfection. The Chef visited each table. Being from the East Coast and being a seafood snob, I tend to be wary of ordering seafood just any where. Well if your in the mood for fresh and perfectly prepared fish, this is your place. I had the Grouper Special and my wife the Haddock. Did I mention fresh and perfectly prepared. The entire experience from the staff, the ambiance and the meal was a wonderful experience.
Have you ever gone to a restaurant and not only be surprised but blown away by the whole experience?? That was my wife and I when we looked for a good place to eat while we were on vacation. From the food to the waiter it was such a great experience, that we decided to go there another night. When you are on vacation in a new area you rely on reviews to help you find a good place to eat and the reviews were good so we made the trip. Quinn was our waiter both nights at the Landmark Restaurant and he was great with the food, making sure we were enjoying the meal, and staying on top of beverages, Thank you Quinn for the birthday wishes and an awesome job with our over all dining experience.
Food 10/10 Service 20/10 This place is a really great restaurant! I highly recommend, you will not be disappointed. Great local fine dining establishment! Try the Chicken Florentine!
This was all of our first time at The Landmark Restaurant, I could not have had a Better experience! Missy was our server and she was Very attentive and responsive to our requests. The food was Amazing!! We all had several different choices for steak, seafood to bowls, they all were Ahhmaazzing! We will be back for sure!! This was a Birthday dinner for 2 family members, we All truly hope to make it a Yearly event! Thank you Landmark for such wonderful service and Food!! We could not have asked for more!
If you're dining here, highly recommend making reservations. We decided last minute to go out for dinner on a Friday night and were lucky enough to get seated at a high top near the bar even though we had no reservations. The gentleman that greeted us at the door was very friendly and humourous, which put us at ease immediately. We chose to eat inside but they did have an outdoor patio with heaters. Our server was very nice and when asked about gluten free options she pointed them all out to us. Everything that we ordered was delicious!! We started with the mango salad, which had an amazing mango vinaigrette, and ordered the Thai glazed salmon with a size of risotto and the two petite steaks with a side of broccolini and wow! Aside from one of the steaks being slightly overcooked (which I personally didn't mind) everything was exceptional. We were so stuffed that we didn't stay for dessert, but all in all we had a very nice experience and will be back again!
My husband had the Chicken Alfredo, I had the Landmark Sirloin, and our friend had the prime rib. They were all SO nothing but quality. Staff are all very attentive, patient, and accommodating. A very homey and comfortable feel, with quality decor, even in the patio area.
The bread was so good 🤤 Fiancee said the Wellington was outstanding. The seafood Fra Diavolo was also fantastic, the spice was definitely there, and I loved that! Huge scallops and shrimp in it, their flavor was smoky and good. Loved the ambience inside. Had a great anniversary dinner.
Had dinner last night as a group of 14 women. My server was Tony. He was a delight! The service was great, the food (scallops, risotto, and asparagus) delicious and the ambiance never disappoints.
Amazing place for a great dinner. Love the rich color on the walls and wood in the main dining area... Sets the stage for a beautiful dining experience. We loved the bruschetta, poppers and our meals!
Last minute shift and did it work out! I think without a doubt, this restaurant is the best in the area. Extensive menu and food cooked to perfection. We had the Wellington and a special pork chop. A full step above the Chop House, which we also like.
The landmark is a MUST if you are in the location. Food is fresh, calamari perfect, steak tender, services EXCELLENT. If you have the pleasure of having Tony or Carla as your waiter/waitress I promise they do not miss a beat, a moment, a drink, or a call!! Hands down the best service I have ever had, as I visit time, and time again. Tony is a prize!! Carla is a pleasure and this fine dining is a MUST when in Jamestown!!
Allie was fantastic! My husband and I went for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. The food was very delicious! Allie surprised us with a piece of cake to celebrate our Anniversary. We will be back again for sure!!
Landmark is a very nice date night destination. Different seating areas allow a choice of bar, patio, or a beautiful dining room. We were seated immediately, even without a reservation, but were there during non-peak dining hours. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The meal was absolutely delicious from appetizer to dessert and the restaurant offers a nice wine selection. The prices are worth the fine dining experience.
This is a very clean, elegant, inviting establishment. The staff was friendly and our waitress, Paige was on the ball. We had no complaints at all. Absolutely delicious! We had a wedge salad with blue cheese, bacon pieces and Caesar salad and both were great. For our main dinner dishes we had chicken Florentine and it was cooked to perfection! The chicken was lightly breaded and the sauce was delicious as well. My husband had a strip steak and garlic mashed potatoes. He had his steak cooked medium and he said it was done perfectly also. We had dinner here for our 22nd anniversary and we're so pleased that it was delicious! We will definitely be back!
We loved our meal at the Landmark. Even though it was mid-week in November, the dining room was pretty full and the bar was hoping. We made reservations, although we didn't need to. During high season, I would recommend to reserve. We were shown into the dining room which had both white table clothes on some tables but not others. I would have pegged this as a more formal dining experience, I was mistaken. From formal birthday celebrations to casual (in sweatpants and hoodies) patrons filled the restaurant. This just means, all are welcomed and no dress code was enforced (but we did dress up a bit). The food was very, very good, the service was impeckable and the atmosphere was relaxing, perfectly lit and enjoyable (nicely decorated). I started with the lobster bisque - thick and creamy. I had the salmon and scallops, my husband had another seafood dish - the scallop rissoto (delicious). It was generous and very good. We could not take our leftovers home (although we did have some). We were traveling the next day so no need for the smell of seafood in the car. I would highly recommend this restaurant. We are very glad we decided to try something in town instead of a repeat dinner at the hotel.
NY 9/14/24 well gin martini very nice with olives up $8.00 , scotch and soda well $8.00, curry coconut muscles very flavorful not to much of either ingredient, only 2 unopened shells, twin tornado petit med rare was done to perfection and tender, garlic mashed potatoes great flavor, dinner salad with ranch on the side some romaine and endive, black and blue fillet med rare excellent and seasoning was fantastic, a smear of house made blue cheese dressing tamped the blacken down, side salad with house made blue cheese was excellent , bread with muscles sopped the extra sauce , and nice garlic bread on side was fresh, turtle desert, with walnuts was house made and wonderful. 5 of 5 stars. Friendly server, Baylee was charming. Great atmosphere with lots of indoor wood as well as a great enclosed patio. Plenty of parking. Nicely crowded at 6:45, maybe from locals but also the comedy museum tourists.
Celebrated my graduate degree at this wonderful establishment, staff were very accommodating and kind congratulating me for the achievement!! Food was fantastic, I will say my cousin ordered a salmon meal that came a little undercooked, but our waitress was quick to replace the meal and get him a Beef Wellington instead, which both my dad and cousin could not stop talking about 😂! The atmosphere is elegant yet cozy, and lends to the culture of Jamestown and WNY. My little cousin didn't like his shrimp and salmon dish, despite having cleared his plate and licking his fingers 🤣🤣 (we think he loved it)!! Absolutely recommend, and if my family is in town again, we'll definitely stop by for round 2!
For the amount and quality of the food you get, it's an incredible deal. The bread you get is unlike any other bread you'll ever try. The Stockyard Ribeye is incredible, as is the Chicken Florentine and anything for that matter. Make sure you get the Green Goddess dressing on your salad 🥗.
Wow if I could rate higher than 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐'s I would! This place from the moment you walk in is amazing! The greeter is wonderful, the servers are on top of everything and the food is wonderful 😊👍 we got filet mignon and a ribeye!! Both were so tasty and cooked perfect. 🥩🥩🥩. The bread is a must and I'm not sure if it's homemade or not but gosh is it ever good! Will definitely come back for our anniversary:)
The Landmark Restaurant is truly a gem! We were visiting the Chautauqua Lake area for vacation and this place was recommended to us by our Airbnb hosts. The food and service were fantastic! We may honestly just come back to the area to eat here again, lol! If you are thinking about dining here, just go, you won't regret it!
Delicious dinner while on business trip. I usually don't like crab cakes because you never know what your going to get, but I went out on a limb. Ther crab was really tasty and not a lot of filler/ bread crumbs. Decent wine list and beer selection. Nice easy walk from major hotels in area. I really enjoyed.
Food was excellent. Service was a little slow, but we were a bigger party there at a busy time I think. Very dim lighting and dated decor, but I'll definitely go back. Food was excellent; everyone got different things and we all agreed on that!
Had a business dinner this week for 6. The interior of this building is so beautiful!! The bar area is dark and old school and the dining room was so welcoming. You can't say enough about the food, everything was delicious!! The only thing that could of been better was the service. Don't get me wrong, it was good, but at a restaurant like this you'd expect better.
Excellent serves. Beautiful and relaxing environment. The menu was very broad and the server had an answer for all accommodations we asked. Also the food didn't take long to come to our table. I would recommend this for romantic dinner but also family and friends.
Went there Last Saturday night, was treated re as lily well and the bartender did a superb job on my wife's very dry Martini...shaken very hard with 3 olives! She was thrilled. Dinner was as advertised...delicious!
My wife and I had our anniversary dinner here and it was a pleasant experience. My wife had the lobster bisque and I had the mussels to start. Mussels were good but a bit gritty. Lobster bisque was delicious. For our entrees, my wife had the seared scallops and risotto. Scallops were perfectly cooked. Risotto was mushy but still under cooked. Hard feat to accomplish. A side of grilled vegetables was on the plate but seemed out of place. The dish was better without them. I had the Landmark seabass. Fish was cooked perfectly. Great sear on the outside without being overcooked. Again, mushy but aldente risotto. The champagne burre blanc was broken but still added to the dish. Overall service was decent. I had to ask the server about the specials. He was attentive and the flow of the meal was spot on. He seemed to be new. If you are in the Jamestown area I recommend stopping in. Aside from a few misteps it was a good meal.
Our business group held their Christmas party here. Service was nice, food excellent. The dessert, amazing! The only negative might be speed of service, but that's to be expected for a large group and ordering off the menu rather than pre-order. Large menu, nice variety, prices vary. No complaints, have eaten here before. Restrooms could use some TLC.
Food was very good. Dessert (chocolate cake) was excellent. Our server Holly was very friendly and attentive. First time there. Will go back again.
The Landmark was an overall excellent experience! I can see why this place is a highly recommended restaurant in the Chautauqua region. The decor was subtle, yet classy. The service was the best part of the restaurant. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable of the menu, all specials happening that night, drinks, and she helped us find exactly what we wanted. Not only was she knowledgeable of the restaurant, but she was personable and had a great sense of humor! The food was amazing and came out in a timely manor. The only reason I'm rating 4 stars is because my steak came out rare when I had ordered it medium well, but our server made sure that I had cut into the steak as soon as it came out to see if it was to my liking. She sent it back and it came back to me correct the second time.
Ambiance is like an old-time supper club (and I mean that in a good way). Fireplace, cozy furniture...very nice. Menu with nice variety, especially seafood. Large portions, very flavourful. Service excellent. A real find. If we find ourselves in Jamestown again, we will definitely return.
The atmosphere and service warrants the price. The food is good, but not great. Been there three times and will likely return, but probably won't take people there trying to impress. The older hostess, who I'm guessing is a helicopter micromanaging owner, has zero chill. The younger hostess was perfectly competent and pleasant, and did not need the 'help'. Prices have gone up, like most places, but the menu has changed to include 70-80 seafood dishes. Appetizers and main courses. It smelled like fish fry Friday when we walked in, so I guess this is more a seafood restaurant now.
Tony was a fantastic server! The food was great with nice outdoor seating.
Place was active seemed similar to the Watermark which we loved. Unfortunately my pot pie's beef was still frozen when served. They removed it of off the bill without even having to ask which was so decent of them. Bloody marys, Salad and bread was delicious. Took my meal home because my husband had finished eating by the time they heated my meal. But ate it for dinner the next 2 nights. Frozen incident and all, it was delicious.
Lovely restaurant for special occasions. We've enjoyed our night here and the food was overall very good. I took one star away because both of our steaks were slightly undercooked and we didn't quite enjoy one of our desserts - the pecan ball. I can definitely recommend the warm butter cake though! All in all we had a good time here and we would like to come back to try more of their menu items.
Our server was amazing bt the kitchen for got the asparagus on one of the dishes, our salad plates were dirty, and the chicken on one of the plates were not fully cooked. It was definitely not the experience I was expecting.
Melissa, our server, was near perfect. The food was fantastic. The hostess? She treated us pretty shabbily. We didn't have a reservation, which on a Thursday night in the off season shouldn't be a problem. She made sure it was. I laid down $200 including drinks and tip, but she treated my wife and I like we were hillbillies. I regret staying, and I won't be back.
The waitress seated us across from a party of 10 to 12. What was she thinking. Noisy and crosstalking. Wife and I like to enjoy our dinner little quiter. Don't need an audience while eating. Chicken and risotto were good. Mushrooms rubbery, asparagus fibrous and underquite. Waiter was too busy because of party and didn't pay much attention to us.
This was about the nicest non-fried dinner we found. Reviews in Jamestown overall skew high. The food was decent; sea bass and scallops with twin filet for the two of us. Focaccia was probably the highlight. Overall wasn’t bad but more pretentious than necessary. Do yourself a favor and stick to beer/wine. Cocktails were painfully bad (Manhattan and Old Fashioned).
The food was excellent. They sat all the diners in one area. It was very noisy and there was a large table right across from us that were celebrating a 60th birthday party. Our waiter had his hands full trying to serve all those people and couldn't help but not pay too much attention to us. Very poor seating.
First time visiting this place. We drove to Jamestown for dinner from Olean. The food itself was rather good, my filet was a little dry but the lobster was fantastic and my fiances Wellington was great. Service on the other hand was awful. My fiance asked for a glass of wine and was charged for the second most expensive glass rather than the base glass. 5oz v 8oz We spent 12 minutes waiting for our table to be cleared and order dessert while our waitress (we’ll call her M) was SITTING at the bar chatting up the bartender which was the second time we waited, we waited nearly 10 minutes once seated for her while she sat at the table next to us talking to guests. In addition to this she walked by the table 3 separate times without checking on us despite it being very slow, grabbed things off the table twice without asking if it was ready to be cleared. We ordered dessert to go at the end and were handed the check after making it clear we were in a rush she walked off AGAIN then proceeded to walk by us a second time while I had my card in hand looking at her. She walks as slow as anyone I’ve ever seen and not until I began writing this review did she seem to think being attentive or polite was necessary. I would say it seemed like her personality but we overheard her speak to two separate tables that were leaving when we arrived that they’d see her next week and it was so nice and so on and she was very nice/attentive to both. So it felt more targeted than anything maybe due to our age or how we were dressed. Maybe it was a bad night, maybe not. Needless to say that one waitress is enough to keep us from ever returning.
We drive from North East, Pennsylvania to enjoy dinner here. We always bring our own wine knowing that we will be charged a corkage fee. This was the third time that we have done this and they charged us $30 a bottle which we had two bottles. This was the first time we were ever charged such an outrageous fee to open a bottle of wine. Don't think we will be back. Our waitress who rarely showed her face making the experience that more disappointing. From waiting 15 or more minutes for a decanter to having to ask for the wine glasses so we could drink our wine. We have gone from recommending friends and family to utter disappointment.
Everything was good, except my food...and that is why we went there. My husband's meal was good, but mine...was problematic. I ordered the Lollipop Lambchops. They were good, but they were 1/4 the size of any lamb chop I have ever eaten! They were listed under "Small Plates " but they wouldn't even equate to an appetizer for one person. The only reason I didn't send them back was because I know the owner and I didn't want to confront the problem with her on a busy Saturday night. Truth to tell, I'll go back again because I have a big gift card for there, so I want to use it.....otherwise there are plenty of good restaurants out there........
This is the second time I’ve been there this year. I don’t feel that the quality of the food is as good as it used to be. This used to be my favorite place to eat but not so any more. I’ve ordered the pecan crusted salmon which had no flavor. I was just there recently and ordered the Landmark pasta which used to be my favorite dish. It too was lacking flavor. It was very starchy and very dry. A friend of mine ordered the same thing and wasn’t impressed. I’m not sure I want to go back since it is pricey for the quality of the food. Service was very slow.
Sea bass was undercooked. Thick part of fish was clear color due to undercook. It should tear off easily when cooked properly but mine wasn’t. Asparagus were over cooked. Feels like biting strings instead crunchy vegetables. But steamed mussels were really good. Very good combination of wine and butter sauce.
we were eating a salad and found a piece of hard plastic while I was chewing. Absolutely grossed me out and waiter Just laughed about it and made a joke. I mean people can choke on something like that or your stomach can be cut because the plastic was sharp. Cannot believe that it wasn’t addressed and waiter I didn’t get the manager or anything. I just let it go and I will tell you I will never go back. Unbelievable at any restaurant, let alone when you’re spending $100 for two people for dinner
We were looking so forward to this meal and could not have been more disappointed. The lobster bisque was too sweet and cold! The French onion soup was basically a bowl of onions with cheese. The salad was almost all arugula, yuk. On the menu with the website they advertise steak Oscar, which they no longer have so I got the filet and scampi, the filet was tiny, too done and the scampi was wadded up angel hair and 3 shrimp. The medallions were ok. Very disappointing all in all.
Both my fiance and I (we just got engaged a few hours earlier at the I Love Lucy museum) ordered the bacon wrapped scallops to share and then 2 Beef Wellingtons. He enjoyed the scallops...I did not. I only had 1 bite as I thought it was raw. We both could not eat our Beef Wellingtons as they were undercooked. Blue is not medium rare. I gave him my plate and he cut around both orders to eat what he could. He is a server and we were both surprised that the waitress didnt ask if something was wrong as so much food was left on our plates. My stomach was bothering me before dessert came. We both enjoyed dessert. By the time we got back to the hotel we were both sick. And now both in bed instead of enjoying our only night in Jamestown. :(
We love this place for years up until this past year. Everybody’s great service is great. Wine is great. Desserts are great. Unfortunately having an undercooked salmon dinner, my husband’s risotto was paste and cold, this is the second time the food was lousy and tasteless. We have a gift card so we’ll go one more time. We actually love this place but the food the last three times we were there, just not like it used to be.
Ordered French onion soup, found two pieces of plastic in it. Ordered beef wellington and the puff pastry was not cooked all the way. No flavor to anything. Server checked on us once, we had to flag her down to get the check, we were don't eating for over 10 mins before she even came out of the back. It was not busy at all. Very disappointed.
We got the pan seared sea bass with truffle risotto and it was disgusting. It was like frozen pucks of bass and a heavy cream dumped all over the dish and it was $36. We also got the black and blue tuna and it was dry and also tasted as if frozen and reheated. Do not go here. Over priced for reheated frozen food. Your best to go get a pizza.
Mom went out for a dinner with friends. I texted her I wanted the spicy salmon with julienne carrots, cucumber, jalapeños, black sesame seed. Straight from the menu. She showed the text to the waitress. I got hot honey salmon instead. I barely got partway through it before disappointment tasted worse than the food.
