Great food, attentive, knowledgeable and charming service. Excellent value for money. Could only give 3 stars for atmosphere as it was a Monday evening and consequently very quiet

Our second visit and we enjoyed it just as much. This time we enjoyed the Sunday Roast 3 course Set Menu, where among the many highlights were the smoked haddock scotch egg and oysters with Bloody Mary dressing starters, the rare roast beef main and the creme brûlée and cheese board deserts The quality and choice was outstanding for the price. The service and knowledge of the drinks and food menu was top notch. Highly recommended and we look forward to returning.

Best lunch we have had in quite a while, all 3 courses were fab. We had scallops and gravlax to start, the scallops where perfectly cooked, the gravlax was missing the dill so was actually smoked salmon but tasty none the less. We shared the côte de boeuf for a main, this was excellent, perfectly cooked and we could taste the dry aging. The chips and onion rings were fab and the green salad with it's light dressing delicious. We finished with creme brulee and sticky toffee pudding, again both were fab! The service was friendly, efficient and we were not rushed. We were very kindly given a doggy bag for the end of the steak which the dog was very grateful for! We cannot wait to return, everything we had was clearly made with quality ingredients and cooked by chef's who love what they do, thank you Snooty Fox!

Overall a very positive experience, 3 very delicious courses for Sunday dinner, along with nice cocktails in a lovely homey pub atmosphere. Special mention to the beautiful roast lamb, and the really tasty Burnt peach and raspberry trifle. Roast potatoes could be crisped better, and we're under seasoned.

Outstanding service & food. Our waiters were beyond attentive. Food was cooked to perfection, you could taste how fresh everything was! Selection of beers & wine is fantastic. So happy we’ve found this hidden gem of a place :)

Lovely place to go out on a Saturday. We had some tasty starters( lobster arancini and beef carpaccio). We went for the burger the sirloin steak, perfectly cooked. The plum tart and apple deserts were delicious too. Definitely going back to try something else from the menu.

Fantastic restaurant and bar Fantastic selection at the bar, amazing restaurant , I had goats cheese for starters and lamb cutlets for mains .. they were both stunning. The green green chilli chutney was excellent and authentic. Finished the meal with a desert wine . As I write this I'm smiling ..the whole experience was absolutely terrific. Thank you Snooty Fox I will be back :)

Our first visit to the Snooty Fox and oh did it deliver. The food was amazing, best oysters I have had ever. The lobster is still swimming around the tank when you order it. The drinks menu is an absolute joy especially the wine list. Staff are lovely and really helpful. A real pleasure and if you like seafood then you must visit this place. I will say and this isn't a criticism but you get what you pay for and this is the best of the best.

What a fabulous place! Take friendly staff, a nice welcome as we arrived and what a menu. Granted, not the cheapest, but the food was sublime, well presented, delightfully cooked, and the food was front and centre to the experience, we had coffee outside afterwards, which just wrapped things up for us.. I love about 45 minutes away, but it's well worth the journey to get there.. I had scallops with black pudding, which was so flavoursome to start and half a lobster, which was an impressive size, well worth the money. The other main had was a lobster roll.. simple, but very tasty.. The lemon meringue was the right condonation of tangy and crunchy, chewy meringue..

Traditional country pub serving absolutely outstanding food. Visited on a Sunday afternoon and unlike many other establishments the choice outside the parameters of a Sunday roast were ample. I always find roast dinners extremely unsatisfactory wherever I go so opted for the fillet and lobster which was amazing, however, the other three members of our party all went for roasts and I have to say (as I did sample my wife’s) it was very , very good but just as every other roast I have had whilst out the roast potatoes were dry. Perhaps this is a cook and prepare in advance thing and unavoidable as I have yet to find a decent roast potato in a pub/restaurant on a Sunday dinner setting. The gravy the meat, the Yorkshire pudding and the veg was extremely good though so overall a winner. Starters were all fantastic as were all of our desserts, they have a very good selection of fine wines and also a good choice of cigars if that’s your thing. Cant wait to return and sample the full menu.

Not for the faint hearted! These meals are BIG! Loved my dishes and happy with the price. A little slow being offered drinks but they told us all about their cigars which was nice as we could have easily over looked it.

Wonderful dinner tonight, a special night with our son, daughter-in-law and new little granddaughter of only 2 1/2 weeks! We are over from Australia and can highly recommend this venue. The staff were very accommodating, especially Shiv, who was amazing. Thank you for making us feel so special ☺️

Lovely place for Sunday lunch. Addived early but they were happy to seat us and served coffee before out meal. Service excellent, not rushed in any way. Roast beef was of outstanding quality, desserts were excellent, pricey but well worth it

We always have a lovely experience whenever we visit The Snooty Fox in Lowick. The drinks are consistently great — an excellent selection of beer — and the food has never disappointed. The menu does lean more towards meat, seafood and richer dishes, so it might be a little trickier if you’re vegan or vegetarian, but everything we’ve ordered has been excellent quality. I had the chicken Kiev caesar salad recently and it was absolutely delicious. It’s also dog-friendly, which we really appreciate, and the atmosphere is spot-on, especially with the log burner going. All in all, a great pub that we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Went here for some lunch and was not disappointed. The food was amazing, portion sizes were great (didn’t need any dinner later that night). The staff were very professional, even when we were the only two people in at the time. Steak was cooked to the recommended request.

Having visited their sister pub the Red Lion in Cranford we were excited to try this place and were not disappointed. We had the seafood platter for two which was pretty spectacular. If I was being really critical I would say that the lobster was a bit tough and overcooked but on the whole it was lovely. Excellent service, a good wine list and good choice of deserts. We will be back next month for the seafood boil.

I came all the way from the states to visit the Drayton House and decided to check out this pub, and I not only loved the food but my waitress whose name I completely forgot (sorry) made me feel so welcomed, It was like I was visiting a friend. I won’t be back for a while just because it’s a long journey but I will definitely recommend!

Started browsing Google to find a new place to try a couple of weeks ago for a nice Sunday roast. Having a background in catering, I do always leave feeling disappointed with a Sunday roast but I was extremely impressed. Portion sizes were great and the meat was cooked perfectly. It isn’t the cheapest for a roast dinner but I’d say it’s worth it. We also had starters, the garlic mushrooms and the ham hock croquettes and they were also delish! For 2 starters, 2 roast dinners, 2 pints, a small glass of New Zealand and a soft drink, it came to approx. £100. Have already recommended this place to family & friends and will most certainly return.

A great pub with good selection of drinks and the nibbles we had were lovely, but the best thing about the place and what brings it all together is the brilliant service. This goes to all the staff but special mention to Steven who was an absolute gentleman and a brilliant server, will definitely be coming back again

The Snooty Fox in Lowick is a charming countryside retreat. The welcoming staff and cozy atmosphere make it an ideal spot for a relaxed meal. The menu offers a variety of delicious, locally sourced dishes, with standout options like the tender roast beef and flavorful vegetarian offerings. The historic building adds to its quaint charm. Perfect for both family outings and intimate dinners. Highly recommended!

Lovely place and amazing food. The service was quick and friendly. Stylish and quirky interior. We will definitely be back when we are around that area again

Found on the main road through Lowick, it has ample parking around the back. Front door and rear door entrance. Restaurant dining and a nice bar area.. The menus are reasonably priced, the food is generous, and the service was fast.. Taken over by new owners they've done a fantastic job with decor, and making customers feel comfortable. Booking is advised for the Restaurant. The bar area has lots of space and the odd pair of eyes watching you from the wall.... ( stuffed animals ).. A great place to go for an evening and dress up for the occasion.

Surprisingly seafood heavy menu, but we went for the sunday roast with chicken. Too often I have been underwhelmed by pub roasts which promise the world but under deliver on size and/or flavour. Not at The Snooty Fox!! The food was incredible, portions were generous, the braised red cabbage is something we still talk about! Wine list was extensive and staff happy to leave you in peace without making you feel rushed. Highly recommend.

The snooty fox is fabulous. We have been quite a few times and always had an amazing experience from their friendly knowledgeable staff, the fantastic wine and the unbelievable food. Our most recent trip here tops them all. We got there a little early and were greeted by what I can honestly say was one of the loveliest people I’ve ever come across, Siobhan. She was so welcoming, friendly, helpful, polite and to top it all off, hilarious. She reserved us a table as we hadn’t. Made us feel so welcome and appreciated as she served our drinks. We then went to the dining area and had probably one of the best meals ever! I can’t remember the servers name but we have had him on many occasions and his knowledge of their dishes and what wines pair perfectly, the attention to detail he had is honestly phenomenal. My partner had a 42oz TBone steak and I had the lobster roll, one word - WOW!!! after we finished our food we went back to the bar for a few more drinks and the lovely Siobhan was there. She is the perfect face for the snooty fox. Aswell as the fabulous staff and food. The location, the atmosphere, the decor is all just so lovely. It is the perfect spot for a couple, a family, anyone. I can’t recommend it enough. Even in the bar area had some fun games and a dart board.

Food was very good; we had three courses on a Sunday. Food might be a tad pricier than some other places, but we thought it was worth it. Service was very friendly and efficient.

Delicious food and fantastic service. Scallops were knock out. Halibut was super fresh and the Chefs even made me two mini desserts because I couldn't pick just one.

I really like the vibe of the Greedy Gordon's places. The Snooty Fox and the Pig and Waffle are my favourites. The service here is excellent, it was a busy new year's eve service and both the food and the people were brilliant.

5* best meal we’ve had in this region. Everything about it. You need to save up for this special occasion meal, but boy oh boy it will surpass your expectations! Food: still dreaming about it. We had 6 oysters (3 grilled & 3 bloody mary), bread and salt butter & a beef carpaccio salad for starter. Then our fantastic waiter/chef allowed us to do 1/2 and 1/2 thermador lobster and garlic butter lobster - our first ever! Wow oh wow. Had garlic aioli truffle Parmesan chips as a side. Then the most 🤤 desserts - banana sticky toffee pudding & a raspberry and vanilla crepe brûlée (served with birthday candles and decoration!). Phenomenal- will remember the meal forever. Drinks: Tried 6 x 1/3s of the big range of great beers on tap. Was suggested a white Rioja to pair with the lobster (which was perfection!) & a lovely rose fizz to start. Service: the best! Personable, full of brilliant recommendations & made it truly special for my partner’s bday. Yes it’s expensive but you understand why once you’ve been - truly special place.

Absolutely spectacular food, wine and service. Chefs made us a red wine reduction to go with our Cote De Boeuf on a fully booked night when it wasn’t on the menu, and that meant so much to us! The goan prawns with Chilli and coriander dip were so good I had to get a recipe. Beef carpaccio was a textural and flavour wonderland. Almost without a fault, and some of the finest food we’ve had anywhere. Thank you for creating such an outstanding establishment! We can’t wait to return and try some more of the menu! Strongly recommend the goan prawns and the beef carpaccio. Also - please put a red wine reduction on the menu! Perfect accompaniment!

Great pub and some excellent meals on the menu. We ate in the bar but the restaurant looked fantastic. Well worth spending some time in front of a great open fire with a quality ale. We we're allowed to park up in the carpark in our self contained campervan and we left early the next morning so massive thanks for the hospitality.

I had the pleasure of dining at the Snooty Fox in Lowick to celebrate my Girlfriend’s Birthday on the 29Jun, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The food was simply amazing, each dish beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The menu offers a delightful variety, ensuring there's something to tantalize every palate. What truly sets the Snooty Fox apart, though, is the staff. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and attentive service. The team was knowledgeable, friendly, and went above and beyond to make our dining experience memorable. Also would like to give a big shout out to Rob for assisting us with our booking. In addition to the outstanding food and service, the ambiance of the Snooty Fox is charming and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a special meal or a cozy evening out. I cannot recommend this gem highly enough. It's a must-visit for anyone in the area looking for an exceptional dining experience. 5 Stars would highly recommend!

Great place to meet up with friends and their pets (or family as was the case for me today). Delicious lunch, we had three different dishes (lobster roll/fish finger sandwich/steak and ale pie) and three excellent experiences. Beer was locally sourced and very tasty, bloody Mary was nicely garnished, diet coke was diet coke.... Coffees and teas were a good end game. Barman and waitress were fabulous...highly recommend this dog friendly venue

This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a while! The food was absolutely delightful and the staff were friendly and attentive. Drinks took a little longer to arrive, but it was a busy Sunday afternoon, so understandable. The kids’ menu was plentiful and varied — great value for such high-quality food. Would definitely recommend!

We had the meat anti pasti and mushrooms on toast for starter and for mains we had the crab caesar salad, mixed grill and steak. The anti pasti was delicious! If I ordered again, I would ask for more bread. The blue cheeses were lovely and creamy and not too strong. The crab caesar salad was excellent and the croutons were lovely and fresh and not oily. The mixed grill and steak were good although they were slightly too charred for our liking. Service was excellent.

A very pleasant rural pub with a good restaurant in a quiet village. The bar has good seating and great range of beers. Imaginative restaurant offers limited range of very good meat and fish items. Service is friendly. A bit pricey but a good experience.

The pub, service, ambiance etc were all amazing. The food however was a let down. I had the roast beef and unfortunately the beef was chewy, lacked flavour, not as rare as I would have liked and portion size was questionable. For that reason I found the food severely over priced.

Went as a work do with a group of 8, was pretty quiet which helped a quick service. Ordered the batata starter which was delicious & the pumpkin pasta was a favourite, though slightly oily. One of my friend who had never tried it before also loved it. For drinks, I mostly had gin and the choice of hind was good too.

I had some time to spare so I decided to treat myself, having heard good rumours of the Snooty Sox at Lowick, I decided to go and have lunch there. I arrived on wednesday lunchtime about 12.30 and made my way through to the bar, the pub has very nice surroundings and is well decorated light and cheery.although it was quite quiet. I sat at the bar facing the the bar and lounge area and was served by a nice young lady whos name eludes me (sorry) the menu is fairly varied alot of seafood and steaks which suited me . I started with a seafood cocktail which was nicely presented and had plenty of prawns, crab, and was decorated with 3 whole giant prawns and crevettes this was delicious and also had a big chunk of lobster (yum!) I followed this with a signature lobster roll which again they didn't skimp on the lobster ! It came with parmesan fries and dressed salad both of which where also delicious, all washed down with a nice glass of Sauvignon Blanc. by this stage I was full ! But the greedy side of me decided to have a pudding I had the chocolate bread & butter pudding which was ok not as good as the first 2 courses but perfectly respectable. Thank you to the young lady who made me feel so welcome and advised me on what everything was. keep up the good work and I'll be back soon !

Traditional pub from outside with a very modern inside. Friendly well trained staff, Sunday lunch menu with roasts. Delicious indeed. Good selection of ales and lagers.

Unfortunately a little let down by my visit. To start table was about 15 minutes late. Of course staff were apologetic and this isn’t unforgivable, but I’ve never had this happen with a prebooked table before and I’ve eaten in a lot of restaurants. The food was OK, I did expect more, chimichurri was like anything you can make at home in 30 seconds. Steak was ordered medium rare, but in my opinion arrived rare. Fortunately I will eat anything from blue to medium rare, but it wasn’t to how I ordered. The tempura onion rings were very good, though. Bone marrow was also good, but is it possible to do bad bone marrow? I have had far better dining experiences for the same money, or even less.

A

The venue is stunning and the food is prettily presented, but the young lady at the bar was unfriendly, and the food wasn't tasty. We got the £100 royal seafood platter, and the shellfish all were gritty with sand and were all very bland and unflavoured. The lobster tail was rubbery, and my friend was upset their chips were obviously from the freezer. This place is very expensive. My friend had soda water which was free, and I asked for soda with some lime cordial in that came to £4. I wouldn't recommend others to come here.

Well it was a Monday evening and as many times before we thought let’s pop out for dinner and being a Monday we knew as we have been many times before the Snooty fox do a delicious offers. Called and booked a table, arrived & ordered drinks. Went to order the Cote de boeuf for 2 as we have had many times before only to be told you have to pre book it 48hrs before to get the offer. We have been many times before and this was new to us. Did explain this but was told there is no movement on this and you have to pay full price. We wasn’t pleased by this approach so paid for our drinks and took our business elsewhere. Think this approach doesn’t cater for the last minute let’s go out for dinner as we rarely book 48hrs in advance. On a better note. Yes the food and table staff are great.
