Love this place....only thing that bothers me is there white board menu...but no prices. The food was excellent but was shocked at the prices....The platos are 13.50 or 14.00 I chose beef enchiladas, had 4 enchiladas, beans and rice....more food than I should eat. Wish they would be more upfront w their prices. A part of me thinks that Gringos are charged more than the hispanic customers...
The cashier was like, "try the tacos, you'll like them". Upset I only got 3. Tacos are authentic, delicious and tasty! Fajita steak and pollo tacos! #lunchstop #breakfasttoo
Huevo a la mexicana with rice and beans. Everything was freshly cooked. Best authentic Mexican food in town. Location is in the back of store. Plenty of sitting space.
Truly delicious, authentic, and at an unbelievably amazing price. Everyone there was so kind and lovely!

I finally found my authentic Mexican food restaurant. Well worth the drive to Kilgore. Forget the frills of chain food restaurants. This restaurant is a hidden gem behind a store front and has a very simple menu. It's your abuelita's (grandma's) kitchen. My favorite comfort food...Caldo de Res. DELICIOUS!
This place is incapable of making a bad dish. I eat here often, and have tried almost their entire menu, and am never disappointed! Even my husband, who is from Mexico, calls the tacos the "best in the world**". There is no printed menu, and the offerings change day to day, but the waitress is more than happy to give you a rundown of what's available that day. We usually go with the tacos; bistec for me and barbacoa for him, but they have many authentic dishes available daily, cooked in an open kitchen right in front of you. They make the corn tortillas themselves, fresh for each order, so sometimes the food might take a little while, but it's well worth the wait and CHEAP! **besides his mom's... *duh
The bistek street tacos were authentic and great. Definitely going to come back when I’m in the area. Provecho 😎
Before eating here I thought that Taco Bueno and Dairy Queen tacos were the best, but after my best friend took me to this "off the beaten path/hole in the wall" taqueria I now know those aren't even close to authentic tacos and eat here VERY frequently. The restaurant area is tucked away in the back of the store and as soon as you walk in you can tell you're going to get some great food. Food is cooked fresh right in front of you in an open kitchen. Be sure to ask for chips and salsa (both green and red sauce are delicious and very spicy) and I would personally recommend pastor or barbacoa tacos. Ladies who work in the kitchen are friendly and attentive. Hands down the only authentic mexican taco place to eat at in Kilgore.
I love this place. It reminds me of my grandmas home cooked meals.Their caldo de Res is perfectly flavored and delicious. The gorditas are yumazing. The lady that cooks the food is so kind and very attentive.I highly recommend it here.
This hole in the wall is kilgore’s best kept secret. I took a friend there and he said it was the best burrito he has ever had. I would put it in my top 3 burritos. Make sure you carpool - parking is limited.
Excellent food service, like always! Excellentcomida servicio, como! Se los recommendamos
This is a family-run restaurant, and I’m so glad they’ve chosen to open their restaurant! The food is prepared right there on the spot, including the tortillas and sopes. But please be respectful and don’t come 3 minutes before closing time. I’ve come twice now and both times a part of 6 literally walked in 3 minutes before closing.
The beef enchiladas, cheese enchiladas and quesadillas were outstanding. Rice and beans were awesome. A salt shaker was on the table but we didn't need it. Truly, real Mexican food. A lot of food at a reasonable price.
This little hole-in-the-wall Mexican spot is lowkey but seriously next level. The bistec tacos are packed with flavor, juicy and perfectly seasoned, wrapped in fresh homemade tortillas that alone are worth the visit. The menudo brings the heat—spicy, bold, and full of rich, comforting flavor. It may not look flashy from the outside, but the food speaks loud and clear. If you know, you know.
Great food! I was on the I-20 and found this on Google maps, so glad I did! It’s some of the best tacos in East Texas. Don’t let the location fool you, it’s a hidden gem with a market attached.
We stopped by on our way home to Louisiana, and it was fantastic. Food was great, service was spot on and they were very nice. It had a great Mexican vibe in the whole place, I very much recommend.

Amazing amazing. Great salsa Verde. Amazing quesadilla, husband and son loves their torta's. Barbacos so yummy 🤤

Nice hole in the wall thats literally in the back of a store. It's good compared to other places in East Texas. I commonly will get a burrito however they have many options you can't get at most places. I really like the sauces they give you, they actually are a bit spicy.
This restaurant is a bit difficult to spot when driving by and the parking is very limited. I really enjoyed the delicious food here. It is very flavorful and it would be a plus to speak Spanish. This is a very casual eatery and inexpensive. The interior could use a decorator and some brightening up. If you found this review to be helpful, please "like" it.

I think they really were not in the mood to wait on me. The food is good and authentic..but they skimp on the sauces they give out and not real friendly.
Warning, there are no prices posted. I paid $14 for chicken fajitas with no veggies or tortillas and my sister was charged $6 for a single taco. The food is authentic Mexican and taste station. The bathroom is a combination cleaning closet.
