Always great service. Even had to wait a little longer for fresh food, so the manager personally came out and gave my 8 yr old several coupons for a free cone.

Stop here every time I'm in Kilgore. Drink and sometimes a meal or snack. I sure do miss their fried pickles. Staff is friendly, and food is delivered in a timely manner and hot.

I've only come here for the after hour shake experience. But, every time I have gone, the drive thru attendant has been nice and patient and courteous, repeating my order back to me, making sure everything is correct. I love Sonic Shakes after 8pm! BANANA CREME! YUM!!!

This was the BEST sonic drive in I've ever been to. The lady that took my order was super nice, she said it would be out in 5 min and it WAS. The car hop was super friendly and my food was hot and fresh. It was over all the best food experience I've had in awhile. I was just passing through but I wish all sonics were like this one!

Great and speedy experience. The guy that delivered seemed a little offended that I double checked my order. The first sonic to get my order correct in a long time. Not that my meal is difficult just different from most others... Fresh fast and tasty experience. GOOD JOB!

I go to get a drink everyday. And the people that works here is always so kind. And they work fast and friendly. And the food is always hot and fresh. This is my favorite sonic to go to.

Ate a smash burger and some fries and used the ketchup package to squirt in my mouth ... most peacefully 10 minutes I had in a long time !

I know this review is identical to ALL of my Sonic locations reviews, but, EACH AND EVERY SONIC IVE FREQUENTED (And, that's ALOT), they all have the absolute best CHERRY LIMEADES in the USA!!! There have been a few upsets at this Kilgore Sonic in the past but weighing in the 25 years that I've been eating there, it's not a bad track record. I generally have a pleasant experience when I go and last night was no exception. I expected a much different outcome, however, but only because I didn't make it up there until right before closing. I just naturally assumed that by being so late, since I've worked fast food before, that I would get the bottom of the chili barrel on my coney and tots, the bun would be stale and the dog would be gummy. I was fine and accepted that before I pulled in the drive-thru and just wanted the chili to be hot enough to warm me up since it was so cold that night. To my surprise though, everything seemed fresh and tasted great. So much so, that I wish I had got two of each just to keep the flavor going. I've always been picky about chili and last night I didn't care how I got it but thankful that they did though. Kudos to all who were on the closing shift 1/28/21...Great job and thank you very much!! May the Lord bless you even more than me!

Food is ok but the drinks are the main reason I stop at sonic

The food is always pretty good. The challenge is the staff. Since when does it take15 minutes to get 4 drinks? One other car in a stall and one in the drive thru. Wow. It was just drinks. No food. No ice cream. Just drinks. Even in the city where I live it can be a challenge at a local Sonic. It is what it is.

Ordered no onions due to them upsetting my stomach; there were onions. Tea tasted nasty and bitter. Should have gone to the one on Hwy 80 in Longview.

Very busy when I went there. the tots seemed like they were sitting there a while. They were not very hot. But the chili cheese dog was good. Service was about average speed it wasn't horrible.

Night service is not the best anymore.. their drinks are always flat or watered down or doesn't have enough carbonation.. is the manger that starts with the letter A then you know its not going to be the best

They have the best fish sandwich around as far as fast food goes. The waiters and waitresses that come to the car are usually very friendly. However, frequently any order you get at the drive-up window is wrong! In fact most of the time is wrong!

I will NOT go back here. I love Sonic tea sweet or unsweet. They also have real lemon slices but the last 3 or 4 times it has been terrible. I got a mouth full of sugar granules and nearly choked. They did replace it but it was NOT fresh. It had been setting AWHILE!!!

Staff is challenging, The Big Burrito breakfast always was good. But they broke me in ordering that anymore food costs I assume have gone up too high to make them like they used to.. and they always seem to not be able to make a good chocolate shake and a couple of their specialty ones when they have them I don't mix them well.

You know that since the old manager is gone Michael and their drive thru person Judy things are just not good. Service in the drive thru is slow slow and the new style of fries are horrible. New people just not getting the job done

My husband and I stopped a month ago for half priced drinks after 8 pm. We only ordered 2 drinks that took a good 10+ minutes to come out. When they finally got them to us, his was correct and mine was a half melted root beer float (not what I had ordered). So we buzzed them again and they finally came out with the correct order. Not the best or worse experience, but we will probably keep coming back for the half priced drinks.

Food was cold and tasted like it had been sitting for a while. Even the tater tots were chewy. Would have given 1 start but at least the slushy was good.

There is always spillage on the outside of the cups when they bring them out. The food is either tough as nails from sitting under a heat lap for to long or not cooked long enough. Sonic in Kilgore has gone down hill since before the Pandemic. Saddens my heart too. We love our sonic drinks and treats. Burgers are thrown together and if you get gravy the top is busted and spilled everywhere. Service is also VERY slow. But I don't hold that against them since people now a days don't want to work.

Ordered two root beer floats and the root beer was just carbonated water. Called up there got it handled and go back for the replacements. Well we pushed the button and they couldn’t hear and said they would just come out. after I pushed the button again, a girl came out with an attitude and said WHAT DO YOU WANT!!! This was 20 minutes waiting the guy finally comes out with the floats and shoves them in our hands and walks off. Sonic has gone down hill!!!

I’ve been here twice, and twice they have messed up my order. Each time they forgot to give me an item of food and utensils. They just gave me the “fries” they forgot to give me, and I just looked inside to find a CORNDOG, NO FRIES. The kids there are nice, but someone is obviously not paying attention.

Pulled into stall #17 pushed the button and after about 8min. no response, went to drive through and set there for 12 mins. No one would take my order and ask one of the car hops if it was shut down and go smart remarks from him. WILL NOT be back to the store, will drive to Lakeport from now on.

I absolutely despise this place. It was not good and everything was either cold or raw. I asked for marinara and other sauces for my mozzarella sticks and they were absolutely none in there.

We usually don’t have any issues with coming to this sonic being that it is the only one in town. But we had hair in our drinks as well as my crispy chicken sandwich. Car hoppers took a while to provide ketchup.

I feel like there are only ever two people on shift in the mornings because it gets super congested very quickly. This morning, it took ten minutes to take my order. Then, I didn't even get the right order. Instead of the SEC Burrito, I was given a grilled cheese with bacon. I didn't notice until I got home. Usually, from this Sonic, I don't have to double check my received order. So this morning was pretty disappointing.

I love Sonic and moved to Kilgore last month. I don't typically leave a review regarding service unless it is a manager, but this Sonic in particular has the worst service ever. Consistently, it takes 10+ minutes to get a drink or two. Today, I got a drink and they left a full 1-2 inches of empty air on the top. Sometimes, my drinks are entirely wrong. Two weeks ago, I put in my order (I always put it in on the app). I had to tell them using the button because the app glitched and put in two of the same order for me. I told them I am here and it doubled and I would take both. They said okay. I waited 25 minutes; the place wasn't even that busy. I hit the button again and told them again. They said it would be right out in a minute. I waited 15 more minutes. At that point, I was over it. I pulled around into the drive thru and waited 10 full minutes for the one person in front of me. There were 2 car hops and 3 people in the kitchen I could see. When I told the person at the window what happened (and he seemed to be a manager or something), he said, "ok." He found my two orders- or the receipts that were still up on the line, the drinks not made. He made them and handed them to me, no apology or anything.

Ordered 2 drinks on the app at around 10am on a Saturday. When I checked in on the app to when I got my drinks was around 30 minutes. How hard is it to fill up two cups that were ordered ahead of time.

Food was exactly what I expected, and I love it! Great carhop service and frequent special promotions. Download their app to receive unadvertised offers. 11/16/21: Still love it! Easy to order online. Half-price cheeseburgers on Tuesday after 5pm is a big hit with my family. Gives me a chance to get the greatest onion rings ever! Had a promo for half-price Mocha Chip Blast, so I tried it tonight. It's really good, but med is way too big after a burger & rings. 4/13/22: Still my very favorite burger joint. Never had a bad experience here. 5/19/24: Make sure you check your order before placing. Didn't get the 1/2 price cheeseburger Tuesday Special, AGAIN! Calling the store does no good! They can't or won't do anything about it!

Horrible I went there on the way back to Dalls on 9-18-23 @8:46pm. Food was cold and smelled like old grease. My cheese sticks was cold, I bought the new Buffalo chicken bites they were cold u could taste the old grease they were fried in. Fries was very stale and cold chicken bites cold and smelled like old grease. I wasted $19.79 Horrible I do not recommend going to this sonic they don't care about the food and the taste. Need to change the grease first.

I am noticing kids with street clothes on inside and kid driving a black 4x4 came out with 4 large drinks, so who taking care of the customers. And then another white female knocked on door and was allowed in. What type of business you guys running tonight. At 722pm, I had a App order one drink, it been it now 740pm. I had to hit button to inquire about my order. This ridiculous. Have they changed management? Lee stated it's on it way. So I had to wait because you had another order and there are other workers inside that could have brought my drink too me. 743pm Not Acceptable for customer service. I'm pissed.

I have been going to sonic for the past two years and have not had not one problem. I go to get a big red like usual and they tell me they cannot take my phone inside… I don’t have a card so that’s the only way that I can pay, I don’t carry cash. The new managers are very disrespectful. Whenever I went to get my drink this morning, she said no we don’t take that. I said OK. Is there any way that somebody has cash app and I can cash app them? She said no have a good day. Sonic won’t be seeing me anymore.

I am so over fast food restaurants wanting apps to order a quick bite. My teen is in the KBAD program at his high school and gets discounts. One of these discounts is to get a 99 cent large drink from Sonic. We were told by the girl who took our order that we HAD to have the app to get the discount. My teen said he has never had to do that before, so I am guessing that is new or the girl was completely wrong. Because we don't want useless apps on our phones from every fast food restaurant (we don't do fast food much and we almost never go to Sonic) or wanted to wait around for a download, we paid full price. Almost $7 for 2 drinks. I give 2 stars because the drinks were good and the boy who brought our drinks was very respectful, but what's the point of having an incentive program if the restaurants don't honor them? And why do restaurants want to make ordering a quick bite more difficult? We were just getting drinks. It's ridiculous.

I went through the drive thru, ordered, and was on my way around to the window. A truck jumped in front of me and went up to the window. The girl in drive thru gave her my drink which was a Coke, after the coke entered her truck an stayed for a minute the lady gave it back to the girl in drive thru. So when I made it to the window I asked her to remake the drink and explain what I saw. As well as the hole were you put the straw through looked tamped. The girl assured me she remade the drink but I just did not feel safe with the drink she gave me. The girl in window was very polite and assured me she remade it and refuse to make another so I could see she did not give me the same drink. So I ended up paying for a drink I didn't drink because I was to tired to argue after being up all night at the hospital. I ordered more but I had to go to Whataburger just to get a Coke. So I definitely will not be going back to this Sonic that is nasty. An I was not pleased with her refusing to make another drink and the place you put the straw in looked as if the seal had already been broke.

Stopped in to buy a $20 gift card for Christmas. They had trouble activating it and when I checked the balance after I got home, there was only $15 on the card. They did not give me a receipt and did not answer their phone. I do not live in Kilgore, but I go through there frequently. I will bypass this store from now on.

I would give -0 stars if it were an option. I patronize this location one to two times per day. Today I waited in drive thru forever. Got tired of wasting my gas. Went to a stall pushed button...AGAIN WAITED FOREVER. No one answered. I left! This is not the first time this has happened. No more chances and no more loyalty. IM DONE!!!! WILL NOT BE BACK!!!!

Set in my stall with the red button pushed for over 10 minutes. No one ever took my order. They were busy so I was patient, but I decided to go inside and ask if maybe my speaker was broken on the menu at 15. The response was laughter and then ignoring me. No one offered an explanation or offered to take my order. I left and will not return to this Sonic.

Portion sizes have significantly changed. There's often a long wait for small and simple orders. I was also charged extra strawberry on a strawberry sundae. It's not mentioned anywhere on the menu that strawberry is an upcharge. Our ice cream arrived melted. We were very disappointed.

The young lady taking our order was rude and impatient. Once she took our order she repeated it back so quickly it was incomprehensible. 2 out of 3 burgers were made incorrectly. I should not have to ask the drive thru for my change, nor should I have to have a negotiation with the drive thru to get my change, especially if it’s in bill form. This happens frequently, and I will let word out on how this store keeps our change without our consent. I gave a 20 dollar bill, and did not receive my bill change, and the servers deliberately walk away from the window, and ignore it when I knock on it to get their attention. This is unacceptable; you have lost a customer, Kilgore Sonic.

Ordered a small m&m blast, someone tries to hand me a mini oreo blast. I told the person I ordered a small m&m. They say sorry and go back in. They then come out with a mini m&m. I grab it and ask is this a small? They said, no it's a mini. I told the girl I ordered a small, not a mini. They said they were sorry again and then shut the door. Wow. What great customer service from your freindly neighborhood sonic drive-in. Don't quit your day job.. wait maybe you should and do us all a favor. On second thought, this might be a play on Sonics fault as well.. when they put "mini m&m" in their blasts. I suppose now we can now blame it on the company. Whatever.

They couldn't get the orders right, they was rude and not only was they rude they got mad cause we asked for some napkins & forks to eat with. Come sonic y'all need to get it together. Never had a problem with them until tonight.

The oil had to be old and cold... My tots were soggy and I could squeeze oil from them. My burger was overcooked, and the bun was somehow stale and soggy at the same time. I know it's Sonic, so my expectations were already low, but come on... Will be actively avoiding this specific Sonic for a long time.

I get a very simple order. A #1 with mayo instead of mustard and a large tater tot. Last time I went there was at least 6 months ago because of straight incompetence. Put mustard on my burger and gave me fries. I checked before I left that time and made them get it right. Fast forward to today, order the same thing. I got tots this time, miraculously but they again put mustard on my burger. I'll never visit this location ever again and urge people not to buy anything from it either until they hire people who can take and make orders correctly.

Gotten Cherry limeade several times! Almost every time; THERE IS NO CHERRIES IN THE DRINK! That is the best part!!! Onetime they did put a cherry, but no cherry flavor! Didn't order a sprite w a cherry; ordered a cherry limeade... THERE IS A DIFFERENCE!!

This Sonic used to be great,but has gone downhill so bad ,I avoid going here unless my mother wants a bag of ice. The service is horrendous as you wait forever for even the least little thing you order. And they even take their time answering you to get your order. It is as if the people who work here have zero multitasking skills and can literally only do one thing at a time. It's terrible that a once good place has suffered so badly for some reason.

Parked at order post by Chicken Express. Pushed button and waited and waited..no response. Started to go to next post to order and saw car hop coming out asked if I could order from them. Placed order and gave her my card. In a while another car hop came out with my card and no drink and pretzel. Couldn't take my money because the hop that took my card might not be the one who brings my food. So aggravated by then just said forget it. Not a good trip to Sonic.

I waited patiently in the drive through for about 15 minutes to get one large diet Dr Pepper with cherry and vanilla. The lady in front of me has several drinks, and I watched as she returned 2 or 3 drinks back to the girl at the window. Apparently they were not the correct drinks. When I received my drink, I drove away. At a red light, I noticed the lid looked like a straw had already been put into it. I opened the lid and smelled the drink. It was not Dr Pepper, it was Coke. There was no cherry or vanilla in it. (Yes, I tasted it, even though I think the lady in front of me may have tasted it also.) I turned around and went back. The young man seemed very polite as he took my drink and came out with a replacement. I took a drink and it tasted like cough syrup, because there was so much cherry syrup in it. I decided not to bother getting another drink. When I poured it down the sink after getting home, it looked disgustingly blood red with the amount of syrup in it.

Got cheeseburger and onion rings. Became violently ill within about 45 minutes of eating. Dizzy, cold sweat, throwing up. I had cut part of the meat off to feed my cats. They were too smart to eat it. This also happened to my daughter. 7/26/2022

The last three times I've been here the service has been horrible the first two times no one even took the order and I waited 10 plus minutes each time. This time I ordered (a large drink no ice) I've been waiting for 30 minutes finally gave up and asked for a refund and a recipient. They gave me the drink (10 minutes after asking for a refund) and the manager couldn't pull up the order so he couldn't see where I paid with a card and offered cash, however I declined since I had gotten the drink... I just hope it didn't come with saliva added to it. I won't be going back to the Kilgore sonic.

This is not a good Sonic. Their food is hit or miss. Sometimes it's good and sometimes it isn't. The service is usually bad, save for one woman who's usually there in the morning/afternoon - I believe her name is Danielle. She's always friendly and helpful. Everyone else that I've encountered has either been rude, unhelpful, or they were just playing around and not paying me any mind. I work for doordash and coming here for an order is almost always a pain because the workers act like you're troubling them by being there. They take forever to get the order out to you. In my experience it's because they are playing around with each other and not doing their job. As a dasher, I have time limits for how long I can wait for an order and it can affect my rating when the restaurant takes too long. Today I couldn't get any assistance at the drive thru, I was blatantly ignored. When I pulled into a stall they answered and said the order would be right out, and then proceeded to not bring the order out. They weren't busy either, I imagine because this particular location is a joke and other customers have had similar experiences. The stores get doordash orders long before I arrive and have plenty of time to prepare them before I get there. I'm just there to pick it up, so it's not like I'm causing them any trouble by being there. I don't even mind waiting a little bit if the restaurant is busy. Still, I've been given ugly looks and treated poorly as if I'm causing a problem by just being there. I've reported this location to doordash about these experiences, so thankfully my score on doordash is not affected and other dashers will be notified of the restaurant's issues. If you go here, expect long wait times as the workers don't take their job seriously and like to play around with each other instead of helping you. In my opinion, it's not worth it to come here.

I purchased food today, which the food was cold and not fresh at all !! Come to find out they charged my credit card an extra $3.00, but the receipt didn't show any extra purchases. I called and spoke with the person that took my order, which he claimed they didn't, but I was given a receipt that showed they did. They didn't give me a choice to give a tip freely !! They basically took it upon themselves to take a tip off top for themselves. Be aware people, check your receipts !!

I normally come here for lunch, which is great that time of day. But this evening/night crew... is a totally different story! They throw the food together WHILE it being very skimpy! I ordered the breakfast burrito( which is normally overloaded with sausage, eggs AND cheese) and it had literally 4 PIECES of sausage. Which looks like it’ll make up HALF a sausage patty. This burrito isn’t cheap, so I really expected it to be awesome! Just as it is whenever I get it during lunch. I sent it back and it look as if they just wrapped it again... I’m not sure if I’ll ever come back this time of day, again. Very disappointed!!!

Everytime I go here to get drinks or sometimes food after work I have to wait 25 minutes on a order that I placed 10 minutes ago on the app before I even got there. Half the time they only bring me just the food and I have to remind them to give me my drinks. And when I pay in cash they don’t even give me my change back. And also about 2 months ago I ordered a milkshake through the drive through and had to wait 10 minutes on the shake whenever there was no one there. Then after leaving and tasting my shake, it was so sour. Basically expired milk in a shake form. DO BETTER KILGORE SONIC!

Very unhappy. Mobile order #1000259761626 was completely wrong. Both burgers were made incorrectly, there were no onions rings, and the medium fry was only half full and stale. I called multiple times to address with no answer. Very unhappy!

This past Friday night at around 10:30pm we were at the laundry mat and our girls decided they wanted Sonic. They forgot to give us our tator tots and our fries. Sadly when we realized this it was already 11pm and they were closed. So just don't be like me and check your order before leaving.

We went to get shakes at this location. They came out quick and our carhop was polite, he told us the wrong flavors when handing them out but that can be overlooked. Upon tasting our shakes they tasted watery. I don't mean they were melted, I mean it tasted like literal water, not even sweet. I work with a shake machine at my job and I'm assuming the machine wasn't fully drained of water when it was last cleaned. Once again, no big deal. I was expecting to contact them via the button, explain the situation and get it fixed but no. I pressed the red button and waited. 5 to 10 minutes passed in silence, almost as if they were hoping I'd give up and leave. After a good wait they eventually got to me, I told them my issue and I was told someone would be right out to me. They were a little busy so I didn't mind waiting. 15 minutes pass and their rush passed. Eventually our car hop goes to a car right next to mine and I'm like, "great he should be coming by ours next." Nope, as soon as he's done with that car he makes a bee line back to the kitchen not even glancing in our direction. By this time I'm upset. I get out and go to the kitchen and knock. I'm greeted by a different car hop and once again tell her my issue. Finally I get a manager. The female manager tells me the machine is overworked and overheating causing the issue. Once again, I work with a shake machine. Her excuse is unlikely. Yeah the shakes might come melted but it wouldn't make them taste like water. I let that go. I wanted a refund so I could go elsewhere but didn't want to wait 3-5 business days so I settle for slushes which BTW are cheaper than the shakes. All in all I felt ignored, lied to, insulted and screwed over. I won't be back.

OLD FOOD EVERYTIME! If you want fresh anything, this is not the place. This is the dirtiest nastiest Sonic I have ever been to in all my years alive. They think it is ok to serve old shriveled cold food, the inside is always gross with food on the floor and in the parking lot on the ground. They don’t care what they serve. See images. I have given them a couple of times to prove me wrong but they never fail. They NEVER serve fresh food. When brought to management attention when asked if they care at all, the reply is “They are young teenagers that don’t care. They are just here for a paycheck.” So so so shocked the health department hasn’t fined them or shut them down. Honest to God, EAT HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK!….by the way, if you don’t believe me about the parking lot, look at the one with the menu. See the throw up in one of the car hop slots.
