Blues – at the park

I need to go here more often. Often overlooked and I dont know why! The food was outstanding as was the service.

Myself my husband and son were in on Saturday night 08/02/2025 for a meal. We had the A la carte menu. The food was absolutely delicious very well presented and extremely tasty. Great choice of food. Kyle was our server he is a very polite and helpful young man and was very attentive and couldn't do enough to make us very welcome.All staff were very warm and friendly.We had the the Haggis Bon Bons for starters followed by Fillet Steak and desserts.That was our first visit to the restaurant and we will definitely be going back again.

Was there for my mum's 93rd birthday dinner. The staff could not have been any more attentive than they were. The food was excellent and the portions generous. There was nine of us and everyone was very satisfied with the meal. One of the party is gluten free and she was very happy with the choice she could make.

Today (02/06/2024) we went for a celebration meal for a party of 12 people; 8 adults and 4 children. The food was amazing and the service was second to none, couldn’t be more attentive, and nothing was an issue for them even though we had 4 young children with us, set up our own balloons, bunting and had our own cake. A special mention to Kyle, he really couldn’t have done more for us and went above and beyond to look after us. The experience was absolutely fabulous!

Amongst others, the menu offers many "pub grub classics", but this ain't no Weatherspoons, the dishes are not only delicious, but presented to a VERY high standard. Any time I have something different, I am amazed at not only the presentation, but the quality of the dish. Service is always good with plenty of polite, friendly and attentive staff. Dining area is large, clean, tidy and welcoming, if not lacking a little "buzz". Although not "cheap", I feel the price point reflects the quality of the food/experience.

Absolutely outstanding service and food 👌 👏 🙌 keep in up and don't let your standards slip. My son and myself ❤️ love the food and service provided by a team of professional staff.

For an hotel restaurant, Blues Restaurant is great. Nicely presented tasty meals.

Food was excellent. Locally sourced ingredients and a wide variety to suit all tastes. Vegetarian and gluten free options available too. Service was spot on. Didn't feel at all rushed but every course arrived promptly. Pricing was very reasonable. My wife and I had 3 courses and it came in around £65. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return.

Great restaurant especially following the big refurb. The menu has a dish for everyone and combines hearty scottish foods with Asian fusion inspired recipes. Can't fault the service as the Park Hotel has always maintained a high quality of meeting customers needs.

Another hidden gem. Blues restaurant in the Park hotel is a notch above many hotel restaurants in my experience. A lovely varied menu and dishes cooked to perfection, not your usual favourites, had a few but some interesting combinations that really work. There's a Thai theme with some which are exceptional nice. I would highly recommend this restaurant and give it five stars 👍👍👍👍👍.

We had a ladies lunch for mum's 90th birthday. She had a fab time with daughters, granddaughters and 2 of her greagrand children and the other 3 of them were at schools even though she still had a lovely time. We'll do it again soon.

Fabulous meal, my only complaint would be they didn't allow me to play Shania Twain.

This is the first time I have been to the Blues restaurant. I was very impressed with everything about it. Service was quick and efficient, the food was delicious and it had a wonderful atmosphere. I'll definitely be back.

Never had anything other than great service, great food, good choice of menu at a reasonable price and generous well presented portions.

Food was lovely staff very pleasant just our table seemed to be in everyone's way felt we were always being passed by people

Have been to Blues a few times and always enjoy their food. Great friendly professional service. I'm a solo traveller and they always make me feel at ease and looked after.

Stayed overnight with my family for my husband's 75th birthday,everything was amazing the staff, food, and attention we were given was so great and they were so busy,thanks to everyone for making our stay and night so lovely.

Wonderful food, really tasty but way too much, or my eyes were bigger than my stomach!!!. Great service too.

Got a table without booking on a Thursday just after work. The venue was lovely. Restaurant modern in design. Food well presented and tasty. I didn't see any offers which was disappointing e.g. 2 courses for.. or an early bird special.

They do brilliant room service for the hotel. Prompt service and tasty food. Prices reflect quality of the food. I'll be bring my family back again.

It was an OK meal. A bit expensive for what it was. The prawn starter was overpowered by too much sauce which lacked a raste test prior to being served. The cabonara was good but required a lot of black pepper. The mushrooms were generous. Finishing it off with a double local whisky 😊

Food excellent (The Salt and Chilli King Prawns with Asian Salad, gochjang, and sesame dressing was amazing). Service was efficient carried out by friendly staff. I gave the atmosphere 3 stars only because it was a wee bit less busy than usual. Normally, it would be 4/5 stars.

We had a very pleasant afternoon in the Park Hotel with my children and grandchildren the meal was excellent and the staff pleasant and helpful with my 8 week old grand daughter.

Very pleasant surroundings. Food was good.

3 x afternoon teas, 1 x which was gluten free. Disappointed as the GF plates did not have a scone or a sausage roll (staple for an afternoon tea) the rolls and sandwiches were fresh and enjoyed by all. The chef said that it was because they didn't have GF sausage rolls even though this had been precooked. I feel in general, as we have been quite a few times for afternoon tea, that the presentation has declined. We still enjoyed what we had and got given boxes to take leftovers home (there was quite a lot)

Went here recently. Food was tasty but overpriced and basic, £4 for a sparkling water is a bit much. It was clean and tidy but the table was uneven and the menus were dirty. Staff made numerous mistakes with our order but made up for it by not charging us for some items. Staff were friendly. Toilets were clean and tidy. I have been here over 20 times and the price and service are always the let down. I will go back because it's still about the best Kilmarnock has to offer.

Very disappointed, Service wasn't the best, we went from going in for dinner and dessert to just getting the bill. It was very disappointing we went and got dessert somewhere that wanted our custom. Sat with empty drinks and finished mains for ages, food was alright

I was there with my friends there was 10 altogether was disappointed from start to finish 5 of had to send hour mane meal back because it wasn't warm and then 1 asked for sticky toffee pudding and ended with Christmas pudding with the money you where getting from us you should have made it better

Came for lunch with a friend had 3 course my tempura wasn't the best but it it go onto main meal my friend had fishe and thick cut chip they didn't only look disgusting they tasted disgusting full of oil soggy n burnt. We complained to be told chef sends apologies not would you like replacement . We had a sweet and latte my sweet wasn't best n latte bland n cool Gave our opinion but seemed to fall on deaf ears Our lunch cost over £70. For the quality and value I've rated it £25 at the most I'd hoped to speak to someone but didn't seem anyone around. I was more angry the her said he's sorry not even to ask if wanted fresh meal. Disgusted at service and quality as wasn't cheap lunch .
