Great spot! We were just passing through on a road trip and happened upon Buns for dinner. Amazing experience. Juicy and delicious burger, super crispy chicken sandwich, crispy hand cut fries, whole and clean ingredients (even in their drinks and condiments!), fast and polite service…I could go on. Will definitely be back during another road trip!

Was walking home and decided to stop in for a quick bite. Everyone there is so nice and I was greeted immediately upon walking in. I kept it simple and ordered a regular hamburger with French fries and root beer. Honestly it was one of the better burgers I've had in awhile. 1/4 lb. Of Kilkoyne beef so it's a little smaller after being cooked which is normal. Can definitely tell the difference in quality between this and a fast food patty. The fries were crispy and just salty enough aka delicious! Washed it down with a bottle of Albita root beer which was a great to finish my quick meal. The location used to be Dreamweavers and it still has a nice atmosphere and charm to it. Wonderful staff and great addition to Kingston. Definitely recommend 10/10 😁

They have one veggie option which is just a huge portobello burger with extra veggies. The Sweet Potato slab on it was sooo good, as were the pickled onions, but whoever OK'd adding cucumbers to this needs to reconsider everything they know about burgers. Incredibly weird addition that added nothing to a burger that was almost perfect. We also got a bucket of fries which was huge: we split it three ways and still had leftovers. The pumpkin milkshake was also delicious!

Great burger, great lamb burger. Everything called it fast, hot, and deliciously seasoned. Their special sauce is perfect. Bonus points for chocolate ice cream for the chocolate shakes. The fries are yummy and thin/small

The ketchup was organic and the fountain soda was cane sugar drinks. I appreciate things like this. The staff was friendly and the lamb burger was pretty good. Food quality and cleanliness was on point. This is a decent place to grab a burger.

It was my first time here!— I am new to the area and was in the mood for a grass-fed burger with some fries and ketchup! I ordered the Original (cheeseburger with extra cheese!) with a gluten-free bun and fries. The fries are VERY good and are my type of fries. I come from the city and these remind me of my favorite fries so it was a nice treat:) The burger was good; the sauce is really what made it. The gluten-free bun was better than I thought it was going to be! A beautiful grill around the edges for a nice crisp.. nothing like it! The areas for improvement is.. the energy here is very.. unwelcoming and a ‘lower’ vibration than what I typically enjoy being in and around. The man at the counter (with a ponytail) didn’t seem to want to be bothered. I understand people go through things yet the energy was undeniable all around even how the employees speak to each other. It didn’t seem like a happy or welcoming place. I know the place would do better too (based on the food alone) if the culture was different. I initiated conversation and said it was very good and I received somewhat of a shrug which, again, is fine; more so, not pleasant to be around. I’d consider recommending to others and potentially be back; yet to another location for sure. Check out some of the photos! It’ll definitely draw you in:) enjoy!!!

Burger and hot dog were great. The fries were AMAZING! They were lightly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside! The girl at the counter was so helpful and nice! Not just to us, she went out of her way for other patrons as well. (We dined at buns on Sep 25 in the afternoon). The only thing that could be improved is the lettuce bun, it could be a bit more comfortable and clean if lettuce was on both sides of the patty.

It was a cute spot on the corner. I ordered a burger and fries. Extra patty. I didn't love the way the meat was cooked. I did order medium rare so could be my fault but the bun had alot of sauce too which I usually dont mind but it made the buns soggy . :( I wouldlike to try it again.

I don’t usually leave critical reviews but this one sticks out because it made a lasting impact on my day-to-day. I used to come in many times a week, for years. The cashiers always knew my order and would type it in as soon as I walked in. There used to be a manager there names John who was always super kind to me. Over time, staff changed which is normal, but the overall vibe just deteriorated. The employees are doing their best but you can tell management is uninspired. It sounds so stupid, but the last straw was the seltzer thing, and I even ignored that for a long time. I always got the same thing, a double original cheeseburger for here with fries and a drink… and they actually watch and monitor to make sure you aren’t including including spicy bubbles to your shitty tap water? I was giving literally hundreds of dollars a month to this place and no longer do. A note to Buns, I know you’re “local” but you feel like a chain and it’s boring and I did not feel valued. Do better. Moonburger, I now frequent you.

We arrived at 5 they close at 6. It was nice inside. Food was decent. Only problem was Service.... it was absolutely awful. We ordered very basic foods. 2 burgers nothing fancy. 1 grilled cheese and a small fry. 3 milk shakes... that seemed to be what everyone before us were ordering sounded good. Food was decent for all that being that it was $60... well yea... but the front girl was extremely rude. We heard her turn people away due to "long" food weights and deny people making shakes because there were no clean metal cups. We had ordered almost 45 mins prior at this point and when our food was finally ready she informed us there would be no shakes with our dinner. We had to call the manager who was incredibly helpful and very nice. We squared everything away and we were able to get our shakes. Its a shame so many ppl got turned away due to non clean cups at $7 each thats quite a profit loss for the company. Along with profits from the meals that were also turned away 30-45 mins from closing.

Came here with the highest of hopes after seeing all of the reviews online and had the image in my head pop moments after going inside. Awful location. Chef was having a meltdown and shouting at things. We watched him throw out like 10 burgers and start over this was after we waited over 20minutes. I do not want food cooked from someone who is shouting at the walls. Chef also snapped at an elderly couple while I was there. This was at noon on a Tuesday i can only imagine what it’s like when it’s actually busy. Left before getting food since it would take over an extra 20minutes to get our food. Simply unacceptable. Do better

Well, here it goes…. Use to frequent this place but last time we were here we came in 15 minutes before they were about to close and the cook had an absolutely lousy attitude towards us for it. Flash forward, We came in to give the place another shot as we enjoyed the food. Same cook is literally eating French fries while making our food. No joke. Incredible. Then after making our food she proceeds to eat a burger right there in the same kitchen that she’s preparing people’s food. An inspector would have a field day with this place. Just stay away. Tables and floor are sticky and gross. Better off at McDonald’s, unfortunately.

Buns Burgers front st Kingston N.Y. I decided to try Buns Burger and I was extremely disappointed too thin , I ordered Buns Burger with condiments on side,sauce lettuce,tomato, when I received everything was added on burger I told cashier and she did not offer solution, had attitude, I also ordered chicken sandwich with condiments on side,again everything was added ,cashier gave no solution. French fries was also a disappointment ,soggy and thin,fries would be better if it was thicker and oil was drained. I will not be returning and wish this shop good luck,but in this day of inflation or not customers expect excellence especially if you order food( 2 sandwiches fries for $34.00 ,)there are plenty of restaurants that provide excellence. This place was a miss.
