Stopped off here on the way to Lufkin and got super lucky. I had the QuesaBirria tacos and they literally beat the ones I had in downtown. The bar tender Susana was very nice and welcoming and took care of me right away. Love the atmosphere and the customer care from the staff is awesome. Love IT

Went to this restaurant yesterday and forgot to review. It was delicious! Everything was good the food, service and the location. I ordered beef fajita stuffed avocado and the hubs ordered tacos plazeros.

Wonderful experience at the new Los Cucos in Kingwood! We came for an early dinner so the place was pretty empty. Had fantastic service. I really wish I could remember her name because she was amazing! The restaurant is very large, plenty of parking, lots of space between tables, and a beautiful bar. There is also patio seating that will be perfect for the spring and summer. I ordered fajitas and will say the beef is far better than the chicken. And those tortillas! They’re ginormous! I had to rip them in half to make my fajitas. We also tried the tres leches, which I think could use some work. It needs more flavor and definitely more milk. We really enjoyed our dinner here and can’t wait to come back for brunch!

Perfect spot for lunch and dinner. Food was amazingly fast on the table and food was cooked with excellence. Waitress was very very friendly and was always on the lookout for anything we needed at our table. Entrance had a bit of a sewer smell due to a busted water pipe. No big deal the food and service made up for it. I will be returning soon.

Always a fan of this chain — you really can’t go wrong! The food is consistently on point. Even something as simple as the nachos is packed with flavor, and the pulled pork tacos are always a hit. I will say the drinks at this location could use a little work — they could use more flavor or a bit more alcohol. The Kingwood location’s drinks are better. Customer service here is excellent, and I always choose this location for large get-togethers. They have a nice open area in the back, which is perfect for large groups.

My daughter and I shared beef and chicken fajitas. The beef ones were so tough could not chew them. The chicken ones were such big pieces looked more like grilled chicken breast instead of fajitas size. But every restaurant has thier own recipe. Not one of our most enjoyable meals. The service on the other hand was excellent.

So apparently Los Cucos has gone to forcing tipping at 18%. They do not let you know this beforehand. I guess they hope you don't notice & do what I did. I only noticed what the total was which was $155 (after their deemed 18% gratuity) & by using that number I tipped our waitress $30. The food is good, but not good enough to have a specific gratuity forced upon the customer. There's countless other good mexican restaurants out there who don't do this. I did speak with manager Fatema who did not seem to care. Just stating it's their policy & she would tell the general manager what I said.

Disappointed Regular Customer I usually enjoy ordering from Los Cucos and have been a loyal customer for some time, especially when I have guests over. I frequently order the chicken quesadillas and am familiar with all three portion sizes. However, during a recent order, I paid nearly $20 for a large chicken quesadilla, and what I received was a small portion of only five triangles. This was barely more than the kid’s meal, which I order often for my child and know comes with three. This was not enough to share with my guests, and it was embarrassing considering I paid extra for a larger size. I contacted the restaurant directly and included photos of the portion and my receipt, but I never received a response. It’s incredibly disappointing to spend money at an establishment that doesn’t deliver what’s promised and doesn’t acknowledge loyal customers’ concerns. There are other Mexican restaurants closer to me, and after this experience, I’m seriously considering taking my business elsewhere. I’ve included photos of what I received and the receipt for transparency.
