Nice gastropub. Trendy and delicious. The fish and chips were yummy, when I got them they looked dark with too much batter BUT when I took a bite the batter was light and the fish flaky and delicious!!! The service was excellent too!
Beautiful location in downtown LaVerne Ate outside with friends. Ordered the mahi mahi tacos with mango avocado salsa was amazing. Bacon wrapped shrimp and French dip sandwich with salad. Others ordered the flat iron steak. Great good great service from Elizabeth❤️
I’m going to keep this short. The host was so kind! The server Ashley was super sweet and helpful when asking for recommendations on cocktails 😊 I’ve been here several times before and look forward to coming back with some friends.
We went here for our friend annual dinner and it was a great time. Good whiskey and good food. They sat us outside but they had a fire place and other heaters so we were chill. Chicken Parm is on point. 5 stars
We were seated right away with no reservation. The hostess and waitress were both very nice and attentive and the food was excellent. I had the roasted chicken which was moist and prepared perfectly.
First time visiting. I love the patio. We had a large group. The fire pit made it a great place for my colleagues and I to unwind. The service, food, and drinks were awesome!
Great burgers and great food. We love sitting outside in the evening with a nice cocktail and some good food. Perfect location and nice folks. Highly recommended for casual evenings
Try the shrimp taquitos! You won't be disappointed. The Shrimp Po' Boy and French Dip were also delicious. The service was friendly and fast. We can't wait to go back!
This is one of our favorite date places. Great ambiance and we've always had wonderful service here too. They have nice outside space, to social distance, especially during this time, and their food and drinks never disappoint.
Great service with food prepared perfectly. We met the owner, Jeff, who took care to restore the building back to its glory days of the 1920s. Amanda, our server, anticipated our needs and effortlessly fulfilled them. Interesting specials and a decent wine and beer list. We ordered a bottle of wine and no corkage was charged which is great because the tip took care of that. 5+ Stars!!
Beautiful warm set up on a cold chilly night! Sisters and I sat at the tables with the fire lit and enjoyed a nice warm cozy chatty evening. Very Beautiful and the food was delicious! Ahi fish tacos, yum! SERVICE was outstanding, great Employees with patience and knowledge of their menu! Total thumbs up! Also made it feel like Christmas with the Christmas lights and relaxed atmosphere!
Relaxing outdoor area with heaters. Delicious food and service!
What a great local place to eat and drink! Love the décor and the food. We had the bacon wrapped shrimp with citrus chili sauce which was excellent. Also tried the cheeseburger tartine and thoroughly enjoyed that as well. Great beef from the local butcher shop. Can't wait to go back.
Had the rocket arugala salad with chicken and would 100% order again. Chicken was cooked perfectly and the dressing was amazing. They also had the local brewery, La Verne Brewing's B-Street pineapple blonde on tap which is fricking delicious.
First time here and I will definitely be back! I came here with a couple of friends and I really wasn't very hungry but came for the company and to try a new place. It' has a nice open space with outdoor patio and sidewalk seating as well as indoor and bar seating. They have a decent selection of local beers and I ordered a stout beer which was tasty and filling. I decided to split the duck burger and it was delicious and came with thinly sliced fried parsnips. Someone ordered a "regular" burger and it consisted of ground chuck, short rib meat and brisket. He let me sample a small piece and the beef tasted sooo good! I definitely want to come back and try their lamb burger.
Great atmosphere, delicious food....the brussels sprouts appetizer was incredible! We loved the ribs and the salmon too. Good bar and happy staff. We will definitely go back.
Great food, done in reasonable amount of time, great beer and outdoor seating. I got baked brie, kids had burger and my husband tacos. Love the variety of food and all delicious. Stands for bikes right next to the outdoor seating. Great!
Really great atmosphere, beer and wine choices! Menu has enough choices but not crazy with choices! We had the flat iron steak, which was one of the best I've had. The shepherds pie was good too!
I loved this place! I met a girlfriend and we sat on the patio and there was a nice ambiance. We shared the brie cheese appetizer and it was superb! I got the seasonal fish (which was Walu) and that was scrumptious too! I will be back!
If you are looking for swanky place to impress dates / co-workers / friends or family but has a button down relaxed vibe, this is the perfect place for you. They specialize in Tartines, which are expensive, delicious open faced semi-exotic sandwiches. Keep in mind everything here is expensive. There are also a few good beers on tap, staff is nice and remembers customers if you engage in conversation. Good place to eat.
Great gastropub. Very casual atmosphere. Inside/outside dining. Outside has fire pit and overhead heat radiators for chillier evenings. Menu is extensive. Something for everyone. Most dishes are prepared casual California style. Inside features a full bar featuring micro breweries and vineyards, along with all expected liquors. Prices are in the mid to high teens for starters, salads, etc. Entres are in the twenties and up. Pretty reasonable for what you get. Service was spot on. Highly recommend.
This restaurant has some of the best service and food in the area. The servers are very knowledgeable and do their best to make you feel welcomed and comfortable. Clients can eat or drink inside or on the patio. The patio had recently had a cover installed, which will definitely help to keep that hot summer sun or fall/winter rain at bay. Great variety of food for lunch and dinner and an excellent selection of beer and wines.
Food is delicious, great flavors - the chipotle aioli is amazing - great with their sweet potato fries for deep fried green beans. The burger was very tasty, no extra sauce needed! Great patio seating area, sidewalk seating was perfect, we brought our bikes and they were well within reach. This was a good place to stop for lunch while riding the bike trail!
My visit to Fourth Street Mill was great. It was the first time I had eaten here. It was chilly but we had a large party so the patio was best to accommodate my group. They had the heaters on so everyone was comfortable. Their menu is varied so everyone found something they wanted. I opted for the chicken club which was delicious. The brioche bun was perfect. We ordered fries and split them. The rest of my group had the beef burger, shrimp tacos and the beef dip sandwich. All the sandwiches received rave reviews from our group. I will definitely be back to sample more of their menu and I hopefully, a beer from their robust tap offerings. There happened to be a car show so then we walked along the main Street admiring all the classic cars. It was a great experience.
The Staff is great. The appearance is very old school classy classic. The food is unreal. Very scrumptious. I recommend the fish and chips. Absolutely awesome. Then the Pastrami burger, probably the best thing in town. The chicken strips and fries are unreal. Great bar, plenty of beers and very fair pricing. I love it.
Always get the staff recommendation: French Dip. Divine! Fresh OJ. My cousin had wedge salad: chock full of Bleu crumble with bacon. Simple and extravagant at the same time. So delish! Highly recommend and referred to my Wedge officiando cousin. Hoping they'll let me join em. Fully intending to go through the menu if I can get over the French Dip😋
The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was fresh and tasty. We were outside on the patio, which was perfect.
Great outdoor set up, just right, posh and yet not stuffy. Impressive looking bar, drinks are always done right. Always friendly and attentive service from the staff. Can't say enough about the food, everything I have tried has been super yummy and I consider myself a foodie. A+ job for everyone involved with this little gem in our backyard here in La Verne. Love to support our local businesses and restaurants but even better when it's just as rewarding for you to be there.
I enjoyed my burger very much. Service is great and atmosphere is awesome.
Fish tacos were excellent! Nice patio! Recommend!
Great experience, great food and they have NEFT Vodka as a bonus for the cocktails I ordered!!!!
Fourth Street Mill In downtown La Verne on Bonita just past D Street look for the sweetest spot for great food and well made cocktails called the Fourth Street Mill. The food is great and the service terrific. If I wanted to show someone a good time, I’d head to Fourth Street Mill.
Great food, drinks, excellent staff, perfect patio. Not too noisy. Nice relaxing lunch spot we enjoy often and are never disappointed.
My buddy and I really enjoyed this place. The Po'boy and French dip were excellent. The server was super friendly and helpful. The dessert was outstanding. The atmosphere was great and looks like a nice outdoor dining space as well. Definitely recommend.
I have been here a few times and the food and atmosphere is always on point. The service is great and the vibe is good times. Especially in the early evening. The Shrimp sandwich was bomb 💣 will be back for playoff baseball ⚾️ Go Dodgers!!
Cozy restaurant with a great outdoor dining experience. Music on Friday and Saturday evenings. Outdoor and indoor tv's always tuned to the days' sporting event. I am a fan of their Shrimp Tacos and Steak Tacos. Fourth Street has a very tasty Lamb Burger that is just the right size. French fries are an ordered item. They come in a paper lined cone and are perfectly crunchy. Looking back, and only a year later. The Lam burger cones with a side salad and a dressing in a small ceramic cup. Now. The salad is a "pincher size" of lettuce with a watered-down dressing drizzled on top. I used the "sauce" of a dressing to dip each bite of my burger in so it worked. (***updated September 2023) Some menu items are hit and miss, though. Their salads sound wonderful on the menu, but when they are in front of you, they seem to be missing something. Just not "enough" to make them a meal. The Harvest Salad, is another favorite. Add Chicken for protein and make more of a meal. In fact, protein can be added to any Salas. (***updated September 2023). Today, we enjoyed the Baked Brie with Blueberries appetizer. It's as good as it looks! Also refreshing are the Champagne and Blueberry Sangria's.
I have been here a few times and the food and service are always so good!! The first time I tried half of the french dip and half the steak fajitas wrap special...both had so much flavor. So good!! The next time I had the special cod tacos...so fresh and light. Loved the strawberry slaw. The crispy beans were so tasty. Great to share. So are the buffalo fries.
Awesome local spot to get a drink.. love the steak tacos and bread pudding..
Stopped in for a quick Christmas Eve lunch; sat on a sunny patio where dogs are allowed. The service was great - quick, friendly, and helpful. We each had a burger, my spouse’s without a bun to make it gluten-free. They were cooked too red and very tasty, but the included side-salad was very puny - hardly a taste. I would rather pay a buck or two more and get something more substantial. All in all a tasty meal in a great location with wonderful service. I would be a regular if I lived in the area.
This restaurant is located in beautiful downtown La Verne. Food and service was outstanding. They have a variety of food and drinks. Couldn't choose what to eat because everything looked so good coming out of the kitchen. Small venue and very hip.You won't be disappointed!
I’ve enjoyed this establishment many times, usually celebrating a birthday. This time was no exception. We had a party of about 12 ladies. I made the reservation and the person who answered the phone was very helpful. We were seated outside with the fire going through the center of our tables. They had some faux animal rugs to sit on. The food was fabulous. We had some community fries for the table. I ordered the salmon bowl. I was there was a little more rice with it. The server was nice, friendly and helped take photos with the birthday girl. I had to ask several times for my hot water but that’s alright. Supporting local business is my thing so I highly recommend dining here.
Great #sundaybrunchspot for all including dogs are welcomed here. Food was awesome( just had a #breakfastsandwitch) followed with (#chileanseabass) fresh fish entree..... so delicious. Atmosphere was better with conversations and libations.
Classy gastropub fare and ambience without being snobby or too bougie. Great for a 1st date, a birthday celebration, date night with your sweetheart, dinner with the family or catching Monday Night football on their 4 large TV screens which is ideal, because they have a Monday Night Steak Dinner special. It's their delicious skirt steak dinner with a mug of German beer or a glass of wine for under $20 bucks!!! Been there twice within a week and haven't been disappointed yet and neither has my dinner friends. I'm already singing their praises to my circle of friends. Chefs Elias, Wesley & Tim work some delicious magic in the kitchen!!! Can't wait to make an excuse to go again!!! Roasted Chicken or their Skirt Steak Dinner are definite go-to choices. Portions are on the larger size. (YAY.. leftovers... maybe!) ...But save room for dessert!!!
Stayed in Laverne to see a show at the Fairplex, discovered this absolute gem of a restaurant in Old Town. Se great we came 3 days in a row! First night, happy hour and dinner. The Baked Brie with homemade apricot jalapeño jam and Natural Margarita with fresh squeezed juices and agave were outstanding. Came back the 2nd night for a late night drink, quesadilla, and wedge salad. Mmm. And the staff were fabulous. Our waitress Melissa was so friendly, attentive, and funny! So good we returned for Sunday brunch! Breakfast burritos and sandwiches were delicious. Some of the best breakfast potatoes. The patio was so nice, the smell of jasmine in the air, quiet, elegant, wonderful restaurant! Thanks!
Food was delicious the atmosphere is so beautiful and has a chill hang out spot vibe. For being outside in the cold the heaters kept us warm. I will be visiting again.
This place never disappoints. Even with covid requirements of eating outside the patio is spotless theres misters to help with the heat. The food and drinks are 'spot on'. Its not the least expensive place in town but you differently get what you pay for..
Happy hour rocks, the staff rocks and the food is lovely! All outdoors experience which makes for an airy and comfortable experience .. fav drink 🥤 Pretty in Pink and some shrimp taquitos make this lady say “””’mmmmm mmmm” 😄

It was a party of 3 and we sat outside next to the fireplace. The food was good the service was awesome. We arrived at a time when it was packed. We didnt have to wait to long and got lucky customers left and we were able to be seated within 5 minutes. The waitress apologized about the serve time for the order due to the fact they had a couple of big parties at the tables. We didn't mind we were to busy talking and there wereT.V.'s outside showing games. Its a nice hangout and bring a jacket for the outside it can be cold however they supply overheat heaters that work well. Its a trendy spot but worth trying out atleast one time. Our service eventually became great with the staff they had great personalities and excellent recommendations for us. My first time there and I will go back. Wish I could remember some of the staff names for credit of a great experience but I will thank them again when I go back.

The outdoor dining space is perfect for good weather evenings. We had a cheese board, which was very nice and included tasty jam and fruit. The dinners are in the 25-30 range for many items, with some 50-80 dishes. It’s a place that we will enjoy on occasion, but not often due to the prices being a bit high.
Food is good but they need to update their menu website. Two things I wanted to order are no longer on the menu.
Great time. First time visiting. Would be great to have cushions on the seating. Outside patio could be a very nice atmosphere. However the flies made it much less enjoyable. Overall great time.
I enjoyed it. I was glad as a vegan I could make the vegetarian options work for me by asking for a simple request like no cheese. It was a bit too loud for me and the restaurant was in small space although you can opt for outdoor seating. The staff was friendly, and helpful. The food was served fast. The brussel salad with sliced almonds and cranberries was great. I hear the fries are fantastic. I had a good time.
The two things I ordered were pretty embarrassing to serve to a human being. A dry quesadilla with a millimetric amount of cheese and probably the saddest veggie burger in history. Two slices of oily zucchini in a bun next to 5 pieces of lettuce they call a "side salad". The patio is awesome, the beer too. Depending on your server, service can be nice too. The server that helped us did not want to be there... she was sad and dry just like my burger.
This place has all the elements of a dining experience you'd expect in a little downtown dining and shopping area: good menu, nice drinks, stylish decor, service-oriented. Only four stars though because even though the food is delicious, nearly $30 for two orders of fries (burgers don't actually come with fries) is too much.
Had a good time with friends sitting outside and sharing conversation. The wives arrived early and had appetizers. The husbands arrived later and had full entrees. The waitress was a little impatient with us being indecisive about our meal decision, but the service was otherwise just fine.
Excellent food, slow service. Nice ambiance but need more staff.
This place is so awesome. Wonderful cocktails and delicious food. I love the patio. My only wish is that they would have a small kids menu with items that are more kid friendly tasting.
Nice patio. Great wait staff. Food was very good.
The food is Delicious. Came out surprisingly fast. The only down side is the portions for me. And that could be because I'm a 6'4 fat boy. Great bar selection. The only thing I did not care for was the service. Felt very rushed. My wife was still eating fries off her plate when they asked to take her plate. We were looking at the dessert menu when the waitress brought us our check. Would go again, and order more food.
Great atmosphere, they had two guys playing jazz on mother's day. Food was good but the pork chops and chicken dishes were on the dry side.

Not impressed at all. Me and my husband ordered the ground beef burger and we both felt like it huge let down. My entire burger literally fit in the palm of my small hand. 😒 it was expensive and tiny. SIZE MATTERS. My husband also said the meat was dry and gave him indigestion.
Melissa the bartender was phenomenal. The waitresses were not happy. Kind of itchy. Food was good. I’ll go back for Melissa
The portion size was about double the price I would have paid for it. Decent taste but very hungry after spending $20. I'm more filled up and satisfied after spending $5 at McDonald's
The food is plain while the presentation is beautiful and looks flavorful it’s not to it’s maximum and it can be there if they season their food throughly not half way
Ok. We had a larger party of about 20 for a birthday...it was reserved so we didn't just show up...people were friendly as others have said, but our food came out over a period of at least 30 minutes. Most were done eating before the last of us were served. Personally, my food was cold and quite rare though I asked for medium but I wasn't about to send it back at the rate they were going... Nice place and despite this experience I will give them another try...YMMV...
Fourth Street Mill is pretty subpar. The food is very underwhelming. It's passable, but not anything spectacular, nothing I would eat again. The burger is comically small, and so is the salad. The cheese bread is equally mid. The atmosphere is really cool though.
I’ve been before on the weekend and really enjoyed it. But went for lunch on a Tuesday today and it was not fun. Nicole was our waitress and for there not being very many people we had to wait a lot. Never got silverware and had to ask for napkins multiple times. Then we were served our sangria and it tasted like water, we spoke up and they just brought us simple syrup to sweeten in. I thought that was odd and I still didn’t like it and they seemed annoyed when I told them I didn’t like it. I feel like she should have asked if we wanted something else right away instead of making us jump through hoops. Finally there are no changing tables in the bathrooms so that was very inconvenient. Food was yummy though.
Service was good. Flavor of food is consistently pleasing but DRAMATIC reduction in plate sizes. It’s fine that prices are hiked due to inflation, but when u couple that with diet portions it doesn’t make the dining experience seem worth it. Chicken breast was about 4 or 5 bites total. And my friends vegetables included just 1 lone green bean and 2 or 3 pieces of cauliflower/broccoli.
The service was fine, and it has a nice atmosphere, but the food was less than exciting. The cheeseburger patty was rather thin. It was a unimpressive. The “salad” which went with it was simply a glob of salad dressing on a few leaves of lettuce. The buffalo fries were cold and soggy from the seasoning. They were wet to the touch. For the price I would expect better.
The atmosphere was great! Service was extremely slow and not very attentive. Everything, including our drinks, was served one item at a time and the food was cold by the time it reached us. Fish tacos were tasty, but chicken strips were dry, lacked flavor, and the batter wasn't crispy and fell off the meat immediately. We might try this spot again at a different time, but it was an overall disappointing first experience. This spot was way too expensive for the many issues we had.
Love the atmosphere here outside seating and restaurant ambiance is great. Unfortunately the quality of food and service has really declined the past few months. Not sure if there is an ownership change or if food prices are causing the lower quality and service.
Cool little place with a hometown feeling. The atmosphere was a bit rugged, complimented with a circular outdoor fireplace . Quaint and friendly. Missing? Umm i would just say that it's a 3.75 to 3.99 score. The lack of a good food menu or a more inviting drink list was my bother..beyond that, a good place to hang out and just relax. Parking available all-over, and reasonable rates .

Atmosphere was great. The food was a disappointment. $14 for a “wedge” salad? 1/3 of a sad and small iceberg lettuce, blue cheese dressing, and 4 tasteless sun-dried tomatoes (?). Grilled fish tacos were dry and unremarkable, “two” shrimp taquitos were exactly two shrimps in one taquito cut in half. Go for the outdoor seating and live music, or not at all.

The outdoor seating area is nice . The food served in small portions but presentation is good ..the only thing ,I really didnt like was the service , waitress was rude , no follow- up ,orders served wrong and/or not served at at all ..18% gratuity on partys over 10 ' .went for my wifes birthday , but ' leave your cake at home a $20.00 serve fee ..what do you get for the $20 ..( Nothing ) you just get to eat your cake there .. Come alone , have a beer , but lm eave your friends at home.
We came here for a PLANNED bridal shower. The 20 women ordering off a planned menu. The food took forever. It came out one plate at a time, nobody got to eat at the same time. The wait staff was very nice and apologetic. At point a woman with gray came out & yelled at the wait staff, in front of the customers. It's obvious that the kitchen was having issues.
I can't believe I spent almost $100 here to end up leaving hungry...oh wait its because I was charged for a dish that I was told they were sold out of. I called to ask for a reimbursement for that dish I never received and was promised a refund, but I never got my money back. Also can't believe the $17 shrimp "po boy" sandwich I ordered only came with exactly 4 pre frozen shrimp in it. And if you think dessert would make up for all this, you'd be disappointed in the $10 burnt chocolate chip cookies that were served. Aside from the price of the menu items here, if you're looking for quality food or service, this is not the place.
Prices are a little high and not much of a menu selection. For such a small place I expected the waitress to be more available. I feel like we were forgotten in the corner because it took a long time to get any drinks and order dinner. When the appetizers arrived they were left at our table with no silverware or plates. I had to go to the bar to get some.
Drinks OK. Shrimp wrapped in bacon was tasty. Tuna melt was fair not a lot of tuna. Rancheros good. Fish and Chips really terrible (greasy bombs over cooked fish with a fishy-fishy smell. Yuk! Service nearly non-existent. I’ll take a pass next time. I guess it's good enough for students as they don't know much better...
Loved the atmosphere. Except the concrete bunches had your legs jammed almost to your chest and was uncomfortable for this arthritic body. Had a hard time getting out waitresses attention to order dinner after the appetizers were served. My well done burger came out medium rare. My daughter asked for a side of soy sauce with her chicken bowl bc she can't have oyster sauce due to allergies. They forgot her sauce. Not wheelchair friendly and ended up taking the baby to the truck to change his diaper.
I wanted to like this cute place. The servers are nice and it’s a really cute place. But the food let’s all of that down. We have been 4 times wanting to like it. But twice it’s been terrible. The “cheesy Parmesan bread ($8) is basically a piece of wonderwhite bread with cheap Parmesan and store bought marinara sauce. Tonight was the last straw. We had the “fish of the day”. Chilean sea bass with rice and vegetables. $48 for a small piece of fish, which is the only thing on the plate worth eating. The rice was unseasoned and dry. The sauce was terrible. And the vegetables, well it was a tiny size of steamed tasteless broccoli beans and cauliflower. Seriously overpriced for what it was. I feel so bad for this, as the workers at the bar are so nice (the male waiter is so so rude). I’m sorry for this but I can’t in all good conscience leave this unsaid. EDIT: it’s 4am and I’ve been up all night with a terrible case of food poisoning. The only thing different from my husband that I ate is the fish. He’s sleeping like a baby. Feeling less awful about saying the above.
The awesome pizza place next door is closed on Monday so we decided to try this place. It looked like a great place to eat and watch the game until we got our food. My burger was under cooked and my wife didn't get what she ordered. The manager Melissa didn't care enough to even try to fix it! This is a hard PASS for us. We won't be back!

Do not eat here..Service was great but the food was incredibly bland and overcooked. Sent back my daughter and my food twice each time came back more burnt and overcooked. The beer is overpriced.you can walk across the street to the brewery and get away better beer for half the price. You can also walk across the street and go to Chase and pay the same amount you paid here to get actual gourmet food.
Two appetizers were apparently not in stock. This was after we got our entrees which were shrimp sandwichs with exactly 4 pieces of shrimp in it for 20 bucks each. Fortunately the 10 dollar fries made up for it volume wise. Had to ask for replacement for the appetizer we never got, only to ask where the 2nd one was when our bill came out, and was told they are out of that as well.... No heads up nothing. Had to ask for the charges for the extra food we didn't get to be removed as well. Ordered cookies and they were burnt. Left hungry after spending 100 bucks. Not worth the price for two people, went and got tacos afterwards.
I have been to this restaurant before and the service has always been good. My wife and I decided to go to this restaurant Saturday July 27, 2019. I was so disappointed in the way we were treated. To begin with, a young lady approached as soon as we came and and told us to sit anywhere we wanted. It took almost 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us. Finally someone asked us if we wanted something to drink. We placed our order for the drinks and 15 minutes later, no drinks. A young man asked us if we had been helped after 25 minutes. When we told him someone had taken our order for our drinks he indicated that same person would come back and take our order. 35 minutes later no one ever came back. Our drinks never came back and our order was never taken. We stood up attempted to flag someone so our ordered could be taken but everyone seemed really busy. We left the restaurant and as we were leaving we noticed that people who had come in after us were already eating. I honestly think they just simply forgot about us. Too bad!
My wife and I ate there lastnight and eat here about every other month. Tonight the service was really slow. I ordered a drink and it took about 10 min and they weren't super busy. My wife ordered the fetaccini alfredo and the waitress said it was a "good portion" with lots of bracolli and mushrooms. They brought my dinner first and about a min later they brought hers. Not a big deal, but dinners should be brought together. There were 3 small pieces of brocolli and maybe a small mushroom. My wife asked for more brocolli and mushrooms, pointing out the limited sides. The waitress brought her more, but then they charges us extra. 2 glasses of wine, 2 drinks, 1 salad and 2 dinners was $133.00. I expect better service and better portions for that. I won't eat there again!
Usually one of our favorite places to eat in our hometown of LaVerne, yesterday's lunch was a total disappointment. Not only have the prices gone sky high, but the portions have gotten much smaller. I ordered a Cheeseburger Tartine which is an open-faced hamburger on a slice of sourdough bread. I asked for it without tomatoes and rare to medium rare. The hamburger came out like a piece of cardboard, with a tomatoe. The price was $14. I could have gotten a better hamburger at Jack in the Box. My friend ordered the chicken fajita wrap. It was soaking in grease and very mushy. It was literally the smallest wrap I've ever seen and it was priced at $17! I think the thing that made me the most upset, was that when I complained to our waitress she did apologize and said she went in and told the owner and the cook. The owner NEVER EVEN ACKNOWLEDGED THE POOR QUALITY OF THE FOOD WE WERE SERVED. He never came to our table, never apologized, nothing. Very unprofessional and thoughtless. He obviously does not care about the satisfaction of his customers or the quality of his food. Very, very dissatisfied. The total bill was over $35 for two very poor meals, no drinks, just water. Will not be returning and not recommending to anyone from here on out. So sad because this used to be a quality restaurant. Don't waste your time or money here, there are many other great restaurants in La Verne from which to choose.
Awful food and service. The wedge salad had 1 tiny piece of bacon and 1 small roasted tomato. I asked for more and they brought a couple of tiny pieces of regular tomato. My brother got the overly greasy fish and chips with cold french fries. We complained and the manager did nothing. Very disappointing!!!
The food is good. Atmosphere is good. Service I thought was good until I brought my dog here and after a short amount of time she barked at another dog, the manager came to us and condescendingly asked us to quiet our dog. Then a patron yelled at us from across the patio. We proceeded to quiet our dog by placing her in our laps, then a waitress came to us and told us hey have a policy about dogs not being at the table and on the floor only. We complied and placed our dog back on the ground, to which she barked again. The wait staff made us completely uncomfortable. We had not even finished our first drink or entree yet. This establishment claims it is “dog friendly” and even boasts a doggy menu. I asked the waitress why they would market themselves as a dog friendly establishment if they are rude to patrons who have dogs that briefly bark, as most dogs do bark. She proceeded to tell me that “not all dogs bark”. We ended up leaving, meals and drinks unfinished. After being treated so poorly we will not be frequenting this La Verne staple any longer. Very unfortunate but the management and wait staff should learn how to treat their patrons with empathy, respect and understanding. Would give 0 stars if I could.
the food is good but the price increased drastically and the food portions reduced. The chicken taco are simple and have no flavor. For $14, NOT worse it. The Shrimp was good, bit only 4 shrimp for $17. Love the place but the prices are way TOO HIGH! Prices went way up, portions reduce, I am sad to say, we won't be coming back. The wedge salad was good but not $17 good.
Came here for a nice lunch. All 3 of us were served cold food in intervals of 10 minutes. I don't even know how that is possible but on this fateful day it was. They forgot drinks. They looked severely understaffed and I'm imagining the owner/manager as some Scrooge/ greedy fatcat character. People of La Verne I ask you: Is this what we stand for?
