Wonderful spot for a quiet lower key date night. Fantastic food, and atmosphere. What I live about the atmosphere is you can have for different dining options. Inside in the main room which will be a little more hustle and bustle, outside, indoor quiet room or bar. Ave they are each distinct experiences

Excellent Italian/American restaurant. Menu has innovative touches for all dishes without getting weird. Service was solid. Bread was delicious. Cocktail menu imaginative. I had the carbonara, which was properly decadent. The Caesar Salad was well done. All in all, a fine experience, and they took care of our last-minute 6-person reservation without a problem.

Kudos to Henson G. and the wait staff that worked the outdoor dining on the evening of Friday, September 10th. From entrance to exit, this was an experience. We made dinner reservations for 19:30 to celebrate my birthday. Keep in mind the menu changes throughout the day which can be found on their website. We ordered a Caesar salad, he ordered the prime rib, and I had the halibut. The food, a rock concert in our mouths. The Caesar is the best I’ve had, the dressing with the parm croutons mixed with fresh romaine is good to crave another one. His steak per his words, juicy and scrumtrulescent. My halibut, flakey and melted in my mouth with every bite. The ambiance was very romantic and perfect for any celebration.

We had a meeting in a separate room. The excellent service was matched by the well-prepared food. Everyone enjoyed their meals from the flatbread appetizer through the great desserts. Those who imbibed enjoyed the wide selection of excellent wines.

We just had another dinner at Postinos. They never disappoint! I had their homemade pasta with duck and shiitake mushrooms. My husband had eggplant parmesan after we had a lovely crispy cold Cesar salad. The cab was wonderful and the grand finale was dark chocolate decadence. Best part … dog friendly on the patio! We need to eat here far more often. PS we loved our meal so much, we forgot to take pictures! Loved our waiter … helpful and friendly.

Great experience! Excellent service, and our waitress was very helpful since it was our first time there. Their menu changes depending on the time of the year. When we visited the Seafood stew was available, and it completely stole the show. However the Frito Misto (fried calamari and onions) was a close second. It's more on the expensive side, but totally worth the experience. My only complaint is that we were there to celebrate a 30th birthday, and they didn't provide any sort of complementary dessert. I was hoping for something to take a picture with.

We went to Postino last night with my husband and some new friends visiting from the East Coast. They’ve been here several times and absolutely love this place — and now we understand why! It definitely did not disappoint. The ambiance is warm, lively, and perfect for catching up with friends. It has that relaxed but elevated vibe that makes you want to stay a little longer. The food and drinks were great, and everything came out beautifully presented. Such a fun spot for good conversation, good wine, and a great night out. We’ll definitely be back! 🍷✨

The servers here are great, some have been there for over a decade, if that doesn't tell you something. For appetizers my go to is the mushroom fries or the clams, then for entree, the short ribs are always excelent, as well as the rabbit pasta, but get anything and you won't be dissapointed. Great wine selection and full bar. Laid back atmosphere and they also have private rooms available (I had my rehearsal dinner here a few years back). Highly recommend for date nights!

Hands down, the best restaurant in Lamorinda. The food is always top notch. The service is amazing. I believe that at the root of this is a husband and wife owned business. Wife is in the front and her talented husband is in the kitchen. You can just tell that the staff loves working here. It’s a family. And it’s a family that opens their home to all of us to give us a fantastic experience. I am constantly asked by out of towners where to eat. I always say Postino. Always!

We had a wonderful dinner last night. Loved the vongole, and the pasta with roasted rabbit (delicious). Service was excellent and attentive and we were able to talk and not shout as in so many restaurants. We will definitely come back.

Great as always. The lentil soup was great. The cesars salad is great. Fried risotto was great (except for the added shrimp. I dontbcare for the clear looking shrimp). Halibut, steak, and carbonate dishes were amazing!

Great spot for a family dinner. We celebrated my wifes birthday. The staff is extremely polite and feels like having dinner at family restaurant. They make u feel so welcomed. Food was great, we had great time and really enjoyed.

Had to send the chef's first shot at my medium rare $58 steak back because it was well done. Had to send back the second attempt because it was raw/rare. Third attempt got it right. Server assured me that the first attempt was medium rare in the middle of the steak. I wondered how much of a well done steak I would have to eat through before getting to the part in the middle that was medium rare. First time in 5+ decades that I have ever had to send something back once, let alone twice!

As restaurants keep up with the cost of food I still find it hard to believe the prices were justified. Maybe I’m getting cheap in my old age!

Service was absolutely excellent - very well trained and kind staff. Our wine selection was outstanding. In our group, the duck and chicken were fantastic and so was the special seasonal salad. Vegetarians beware: My angel hair pasta was literally inedible. The side of peas came barely warm and definately had the vibe of coming from the lost corner of the freezer. The side of zucchini was blah. I would say this was one of the most uneven meals I have had in a decade. Our server must have known. She was very attentive and yet didn’t ask if I liked it. The barely touched plates said it all. So sorry! This is your place if you like meat and such.
