Melissa went out of her way to make the best chocolate gingerbread man sundae topped with heath bar pieces! She was so patient with us as this was our 1st time trying this place out and even offered us mini wet towels to go. The shop was so clean and I loved the pink decor. Such a cute place with great sundae options, we will definitely return!

Who knew something so simple could be this delicious? I stumbled upon South Swell after dinner with the kids, and it was a delightful surprise. You choose from a base of frozen bananas, ice cream bars, or soft serve, then add your favorite toppings and a dip. It may sound straightforward, but the flavors are truly exceptional! Seriously, it’s that good! Plus, the fact that it’s family-owned and run by amazing people makes the experience even better. It’s a 4.8 for good reason.

This place is tasty. Very sugary sweet treats, but yummy. We ordered one bar and one soft serve type, but the soft serve is a way better base. The girls working the ice cream shop were young, but attentive. But, they had no AC in the shop which was really brutal with our hot summer. I asked one of the girls about the heat and she said the AC broke. But, you're in Laguna Beach, charging top dollar, have a busy flow of people non-stop and have ice cream and workers that need to be supported with cooler conditions. I hope the owners chopse to address the cooling conditions.

This place was such a disappointment. The tables were dirty, the staff wasn’t attentive at all, and the service felt careless. They only had one soft serve flavor, and the toppings were stale and cheap—honestly something I could’ve thrown together at home. For $8, it’s an absolute rip off. If you’re charging that much, there should be quality toppings or something unique to make it worthwhile. Definitely not coming back and wouldn’t recommend.

The ice cream was very good! I’m disappointed the service wasn’t the same. The girl who helped us judged our ordered and it made us feel uncomfortable. I think when you go and pay for dessert it shouldn’t matter what you order. You’re still paying for it?
