Specializing in creative cocktails that they pair expertly with their small plates menu. My wife and I recently shared a vegetarian Greek board, Lobster Roll and Rock Shrimp Mac and Cheese and everything was delicious with cocktails recommended. I enjoyed an “I Think You Should” bourbon cocktail while my spouse was very happy with her “Japanese Sour” with egg whites. While they are located upstairs at the top end of the town with a patio that overlooks Mirror lake there is an elevator that worked for my wife on crutches.

Being new to town, I'm trying to experience as many different places as I can. This has, hands down, been one of the best experiences I have had so far. The owner, Bill, and my server Kara (sp?), were not only accommodating when they realized I was having a very tough day, but went out of their way to be kind and understanding during my time there even though they were extremely busy. That kind of service is what makes a place go from good to great. Thank you both for the kindness that you showed me and the impact you made on my life today. I will happily return and also recommend Top of the Park to others.

We have been here several times. We really enjoy the exceptional cocktails and small plates. This time we had wings and the Wagyu beef plus six different cocktails between the four of us. Everything was exceptional. We have family in Saranac Lake and have visited the area often over the last six years. This is by far the best food and drink in the entire area. Fabulous food and drinks plus a great view of Mirror Lake out back. We will be back.

Best place to have a drink and share plate in Lake Placid. Service was fabulous and we had New York cheese board and heirloom tomatoes and ricotta salad to share! Lovely cocktail and pretty spot viewing the activities over Mirror Lake! We'll be back next visit 100%❤️ oh and how could I forget the rice pudding!!

Ate outside on the deck on a beautiful late summer evening. The food and cocktails were phenomenal! We started with the spinach salad and beet salads: both were really great. The faro and pepitas were the perfect crunchy pair for each! We had the wings, which were a really nice blend of flavor and texture…didn’t even need the sauce. My favorite bite was the pork jowl! The flavors, textures, and techniques in every dish was so perfect. You will not be disappointed!

Lake Placid unfortunately is a desert when it comes to a decent cocktail or wine. Top of the park is the only spot to consider if you are looking for a quality glass of wine or cocktail. Glad they are here for a non-beer option in town!! Thanks!

Great food and service, specialty cocktails and craft beers. The small plates were generous and priced fairly. Just go. Reservations might be a good idea.

We found this place after an extremely disappointing lunch in another well-known Lake Placid establishment. Top of the Park completely made our day!! Our bartender Nick was friendly, knowledgeable, and exceptionally gifted at mixing. The drinks were well-balanced and nuanced, with every element evident. The small plates were also great!! Overall, an absolutely wonderful experience that we hope to repeat in the future.

Terrific drinks and dining by the lake. We’ve enjoyed many meals here every time we visit the area. Each plate and drink is inventive, complex, and delicious. They make so many fresh items that many of them are even naturally gluten free. The indoor/outdoor deck is lovely. Don’t miss this one.

This place has only two cons: it's not working 24/7 and I can't go there each time I need! Unfortunately we could visit this place only once during our stay. And we loved absolutely everything about it. Atmosphere and service are great. Both bartenders were nice and helpful, worked quick and professional. Cocktails... mmm... Say "tasty" is say nothing! We took few, both mine were special order with unique recipes and I love them. My husband's cocktails were great as well. Desert with strawberry is amazing, but the most tasty were mushroom toasts. Now I have to learn how to cook them because my husband reminds me about them everyday. Thank you for wonderful experience!

You MUST check out this adorable upstairs lounge at one end of the downtown! Imaginative Creative Cocktails. Had our bartender say that the Axl Rose cocktail I had was her creation. I enjoy cocktails, and this one was almost as good as the two beautiful perfect riding days on the mountain we had. Forever remember this place for our next visit! Next time we want to try out the dinner menu also.

Bill and staff are top notch, true culinary artists! Incredible food, even better cocktails! From the presentation to taste and right through desert you owe it to yourself to check this place out!! This is the Top of Lake Placid dining...so good we went two nights in a row.

Unlike the reviewer who said this is not a place to eat, I wholely disagree. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal, the service and the atmosphere. Several Lake Placid restaurants offer mediocre quality food and service knowing they can do this to the tourist crowd. Not Top of the Park. The food (and portion sizes) were delightful. Service was attentive. Our waitstaff asked us at the onset if we needed time between courses or if we needed to get somewhere on a schedule. Yes, the bar was rocking but in a fun sort of way. We will be back!

This place offers an amazing and unique experience. This is a must when you are visiting Lake Placid. The best of the best. Their setting offers a great ambience with indoors fireplaces and great views. The food is of the highest quality, just the right portion size. The bar is entertaining when making your drinks.

Incredible cocktails, top notch appetizers, friendly, helpful staff, no better place to cozy up to the bar for a drink and a bite to eat.

Top of the Park in Lake Placid has became one of my favorite spots in town —it’s the kind of place that feels like a local secret, even though it’s right on Main Street. I stopped in on a chilly evening and grabbed a seat by the window, where the view of Mirror Lake glowing under the twilight sky was absolutely magical. The vibe was relaxed but refined, with soft music and the hum of good conversation. The staff made me feel right at home, and I ended up staying longer than planned, just soaking in the atmosphere. It’s the kind of place you want to bring friends to, but also kind of want to keep to yourself.

Best cocktails in town. Can't wait to visit again.

The Charcuterie Board and Anchovies were delicious however the bartender is a true mixologist. Tell him what you are thinking and you will be surprised. Drinks are off the chart

We went after dinner for some drinks and regret not eating there. My Sangria was very good and the environment is great. Is definitely on our list of places to go next time we are in Lake Placid.

Top of the Park is easily one of the best places for cocktails in Placid. Nick and the crew always do a wonderful job with suggestions based off what you like if you're not sure or want to try something new. The views are wonderful and their tapas plates are super great for sharing or having a light dinner. They have a great cheese plate, and we enjoyed the trout and tuna small plates.

J

Kimberly and I "stumbled" in this place walking down Main St. We thought it looked interesting and the sign outside said it had the best view of Mirror Lake anywhere. They are right. What a great place. Executive Chef, Bill Bentz, greeted us when we came in and spent at least an hour talking with us as we sampled a few things off their small plate menu (we came in before the dinner rush). They have a diverse selection of great beverages and the food is simply OUTSTANDING. The prices are very fair and a great value given the amazing culinary skills of the Chef and the quality of the food. The atmosphere of the place is terrific... and then there's the view. It's unbelievable and is simply the "icing on the cake" in making this place so special! Special thanks Executive Chef, Bill Bentz, to our bartender Nathan, and Meagan, the hostess/waitress. You made our first visit to Lake Placid very special. If you're planning a trip to Lake Placid, NY you have to visit the Top Of The Park. It will be one of the highlights of your trip. Probably my favorite and well stocked bourbon cocktail bar in New York. One of the only true cocktail bars you’ll find outside of NYC. Been lucky to drink some of the best bourbons possible here and the food is bar none. Chef/owner Bill Bentz is a craftsmen in the kitchen and collection of cocktails is something you won’t find many other places. Don’t miss out! (Btw confit wings give em a go)

First time trying this place after coming to lake placid for years - didn’t realize what we were missing. Really nice atmosphere overlooking the lake on the second story. Plenty of crafted drink options, we enjoyed everything we had. Staff was also some of the most courteous and welcoming I’ve experienced in lake placid

Great food, nice selection of beer, scotch, bourbon and rye. Highly recommend if you are in the area. Place is busy so I would recommend to call to get on the list.

Haven't eaten here so I can't speak for the food, but the cocktails were phenomenal. Don't judge them by their looks either - the bright yellow or blue stuff you'd expect to be sickly sweet are extremely well balanced, and the smoky or beer-based cocktails are more nuanced than what you could ask for at most places. Nick, the bartender, is a real treasure. If you go and can find a seat at the bar, and you have Nick? Your prayers are answered. This guy knows his classic cocktails, neo-classic cocktails, and spinoff creations. He even does custom cocktails in a little game (pro-tip: if you want even more Instagram-worthy stuff, say yes to campfires and egg whites). I have been to most of the best cocktail bars in Manhattan, and this guy can compete with the best and they charge much less.

Top of the Park has some of the best and most creative dining options in Lake Placid. I've loved every bite I've had from their boutique plates and every sip I've had from their artisan cocktails. They're a must-visit on your next Lake Placid trip!

I rarely review restaurants but after my experience it was a must. Take a moment unwind and enjoy the food, atmosphere and service. The food was mindfully prepared and presented. Well seasoned and delicious. Stop and enjoy a cocktail and a plate or many as we did all the way to dessert which I never order. My date is a vegetarian and I am not and we navigated the offerings with ease. If I must pick I was torn between all of my choices. From the mushroom soup, the guanciale and the wings. I never order wings but absolutely glad I had the opportunity to enjoy them. Hats off to you all! From one chef to another you have mastered your craft!

J
John McCulloch

These are the best drinks in town. They use real espresso in martinis, not substitute liquor. Nick and Justin were able to take a flavor profile and create something close to a favorite I've had before. (Our suggestions is that the bartenders were busy as we watched the games... Wished they had more 'traditional/boring/familiar' table foods to share. We are pretty generic eaters and most of the options were a little high end?)

M
Michael Vicente

My GF and I were looking for a place by the water to just have drinks and appetizers. Found Top of the Park and was extremely happy we did. We visited two times and were lucky to have Kara and Liz as our servers. The food was excellent and the drinks were amazing. If you're in town don't pass this place by without at least one visit to enjoy the view and drinks.

D
David Waltzer

Not sure how I didnt find this sooner. I had the small plates and they were all delicious. The setting is A+. This will be a top pic when I return. Only down-side was the Cesar Salad - which was drenched and had 3x more cheese than it should have. But the wings and the tuna were perfect. The house wine was fine (which is rare). This is the best place on the strip for small plates (and possibly top two overall).

R

My husband and I stayed in Lake Placid for two nights while celebrating our recent wedding and ended up eating here both nights (partially because we loved it so much, partially because other options were closed). Nonetheless, we loved every dish we tried. Favorites included the pheasant, wings, and mac and cheese. The highlight was the bartender (we sat at the bar both nights) who mixed up some amazing custom cocktails for us both based on our tastes. While the website states small plates, / tapas we were plenty full with 4 dishes total, making this a great value for very high quality food. If we ever go back to the area, we will absolutely be back!

Absolutely wonderful service, patient, knowledgeable, and fast. The Caprese was very good, we tried their Kangaroo with Caramel Rum Sauce and their 60 day aged dry beef with chocolate Poblano Sauce. Both were very good and offered different tastes than you can't normally get in upstate NY! They were both served over a bed of potatos that was heavenly. The pinnacle of the evening was their Friends-chip Maple Cheesecake. It was absolutely delicious. Easily head and shoulders above any cheesecake factory cheesecake. They have a wide selection of alcohols, including a great selection of whiskies and unique cocktails.

Have been going to Top of the Park since we started coming to Lake Placid 5 years ago. We absolutely make it part of our weekend trip every year. Nick is one of the most talented bartenders we’ve ever experienced. The nicest staff, atmosphere, food and overall experience you can ever have. Thank you for making our weekend awesome. Wow, really classy atmosphere, wide selection of nice wine and craft cocktails, delicious entrées, almost tapas like, get the fall off the bone chicken wing appetizer, we visited in January, summertime offers patio dining overlooking mirror lake. Welcoming great service, held our table for 30 minutes. Moderately priced

Great view of mirror lake. Nice small plates. The bees knees was delightful. Service was prompt. A woman outside stopped us and told Us to go here because the service at the adjoining places was horrible

The food and drinks were absolutely delicious! The service was second to none. They were super helpful narrowing down the wide range of drink options and even crafting drinks that weren't on the main menu. It was well worth every penny.

My GF and I were looking for a place by the water to have drinks and some appetizers. We were lucky to have found Top of the Park and we visited twice during our visit. Amazing drinks and great dishes. Liz and Kara were our servers and they were smiling and pleasant at all times. They both attended to us with smiles. If you're visiting Lake Placid make sure you stop by Top of the Park.

Fantastic establishment. Wait staff is always friendly and talkative. Drinks are always enticing and deliver. Food is on a whole different level of awesome. The view is spectacular. At the time of this review they are at 4.7 which is crazy. Should be 5* all day long. Phenomenal!

While the downstairs is the regular restaurant which is good, nothing mind blowing but not bad, the upstairs is where it's really at. Granted, all we had was cocktails and the cheesecake and it's SO worth it. Consider skipping dessert and drinks elsewhere for here. We had Japanese cocktails and maple cheesecake and not only were the cocktails amazing, the cheesecake had to have been the best I'd ever had. Altogether, 2 drinks and the cheesecake hit around $40 so definitely a little pricey but most certainly worth it.

S

Food and view was excellent! I see some people complain about the portion sizes, but that's what tapas are! Small plates to share. Everything was absolutely delicious. Would definitely come back.

The seating area is on the smaller side and very intimate. They have a great selection of seasonal small plates and cocktails. This evening we stopped in for some cocktails. Service was quick despite the full seating.

Amazing food! 5 freaking stars and then some. I don’t give out five stars easily and their food and beverages earned six!!!!! My wife asked me if we could bring home the recipes for our favorite place at home…

Get the Confit Chicken Wings-- best wings OF MY LIFE. They are juicy, the meat falls of the bone, and the skin is basically carmelized and fantastic. Also highly recommend the mac n cheese. We sat outside and the view was gorgeous! Can't wait to go back.

M
Michael Ross

Been here twice and both times was a great experience. The cocktails are very well made and all delicious. The meals are served tapas-style so figure about 2 items per person. The pork jowl is outstanding and if you are lucky to have the chorizo Mac and cheese as an option then go for it!

N
Nakina Tilson

I cannot eat gluten or do cross contamination and had an excellent experience. The staff is knowledgeable and most of the menu is safe or can be made so. The exception is the macaroni and cheese (which for the kids/non gf people is a good portion considering it’s a tapas style restaurant). My husband and I shared the absolutely amazing duck fat fried chicken wings and the delicious Greek plate with fabulous hummus. He had the pita (not gf) and I was given some nice rice crackers. Lots of fun and creative cocktails. Great food and service!

Our trip to Top of the Park was the highlight of our Lake Placid trip. We sat at the bar and had the best drinks and food while conversing with the bartender Zach. Zach was amazing. We played the game with him and each drink he made hit the mark, or hit a mark I didn't even know I had. Ordered the Mac & Cheese and Chicken wings and both were phenomenal. We can't wait to be back to see what else Zach has up his sleeves! P.s. Find all the duckies! There are 12.

If you’re looking for tapas and great tasting drinks, this is the place. All the food was delicious and the drinks were well crafted! Even got to try to some hard-to-find bourbons and the entire Top Of The Park experience did not disappoint.

B
Barbara Riggs

A bit hard to find. It’s the top floor of a building with a restaurant on each floor including the basement where we wound up. Fortunately, figured it out and was well rewarded. Ricky but good food nicely presented. Haven’t had anchovies since Italy so those were a great encounter. Hubby liked the Japanese whiskey. Lots of great small bites. We ate a lot since we were hungry so bill with 2 drinks each was pricey. But... worth every penny!!!! Also loved how quiet it’s customers were. Not your boisterous crowd. More gentile. Had lovely fire pit tables on an enclosed porch which were popular. After all, we came here to ski.

C

I went late for a couple drinks to end the night and ended up having one of the best cocktail experiences I’ve ever had! The drink menu (we came too late for food) was extensive and interesting but the best part was Zach, the bartender. He was nice and made everybody feel welcome. And if something didn’t speak to you on the menu, he gave a custom cocktail experience. He’d ask what spirit you’d want to build off and then other questions like “where would you want to imagine drinking this” to figure out what else you might like. We got 3 of these custom cocktails and each one was unique (at least to us), well balanced, and had visual flare. I had no idea what kind of bar we were walking into, but now I will be recommending it to anyone that says they’re going to lake placid!

J
Jay HoL

Very cool restaurant and bar. You can play "The Game" or "10 Questions" with the bartender where he asks you a bunch of questions and then makes you a drink. Mine was delicious. Food is served tapas style. Small sharable portions. Everything was delicious. A little prices but worth it for a fun fancy dinner out with friends.

Wings, vegetable tart, bisque, pork bowl, classic salad and desserts (pear special and Maple Cheesecake)... All were Amazing. Enjoy! Make sure to call ahead to get on waitlist or else drop in early to put your name on the list. Wait on weekend, likely 60 mins

Nice view of the lake when it is not dark. Good place for a couple of drinks. Don’t recommend for dining here if you are hungry because the plates are small. Can be quite popular so expect a line.

Top of the Park is a gem, hidden in plain sight, just above Player's on Main st. It's atmosphere is casual, but grown-up. The small plates of comforting cuisine make economic use of quality ingredients (much of them locally sourced). An impressive beer selection for a small operation, and a near-legendary whisk(e)y selection. Probably one of the only places to get a proper classic cocktail, and the modern ones are great, too (try the Spirited Stout) Pro tip: Bomberger's Bourbon is a steal, ask for Bill if you want to get hip to some great spirits...

Great cocktails and super friendly service. We sat at the bar on a slow night right before close and our bartender was super friendly and accommodating and could mix a damn fine drink. If you know how to play the game, this place is magical. The bartenders are true artists, and you’re in excellent hands even if you let the bartender just wing it. Pro tip- don’t go at busy times, you won’t have as much fun. We went around 4pm on a Thursday and it was perfect. This is a MUST for anyone looking for intriguing flavors, intricate drinks, and excellent vibes. We will 100% be back. Don’t forget to look for all the ducks!

This amazing spot came upon us by happenstance. My Daughter wanted the “perfect spot” to have a quiet celebration of her 16th birthday, she chose “Top of the Park.” This restaurant was everything it should be: warm, inviting, friendly and the staff is fantastic! The food was some of the best I have had in a very long time. Then there is the view! The next time you are in Placid, please pop in and have a meal. 😊

Heard some good things from friends so decided to give Top of the Park a try and we were not disappointed. Food and Drinks were amazing. They have an outside porch which they keep heated but it was down around 0 the night we were in so we sat inside. I would like to go back to eat on the porch when the temps are back in the 20’s. Limited seating but if you can get in I highly recommend.

Came here on our first night and had such incredible cocktails. After ordering a specialty cocktail, we asked the bartender Nick to surprise us. What he created was so, so special, and just as delicious! We sat next to a couple who loves this place so much, they come every year! We came back our second night for dinner after hearing a lot of hype about the Mac and cheese. It did NOT disappoint!!! The Kurabuta Bacon Mac and Cheese is the best mac I’ve ever had. So delectable. On this visit, we sat next to father and daughter who called the Top their “special place”. This place is truly special! Incredibly nice staff, stellar food, and delicious cocktails! Will definitely be coming back to Lake Placid just to have this experience again!

Second time at this restaurant after having to come back while here on vacation. It’s so cozy and the 90s rock music was the perfect ambience. This vibe is different vibe than everywhere else in town. I think it’s a hidden gem. Great service and food - the beef tenderloin was melt in your mouth good/flavorful... Probably my favorite bite of the trip.

We went to Top of the Park our first night in town. The ambience is perfect! The view of Mirror Lake and the surrounding mountains is fantastic! The space is open and airy. Our bartender was our server and he was great! The cocktails were super delicious. Highly recommend the Orange you glad, Sangria and the Naughty or Spice were all delicious. The tapas items were also delicious. Highly recommend the scallops, the Brussel sprouts salad and the charcuterie board. The only thing that was the downer was the portion size, left us wanting more because the flavors were so good! There were Small plates only though.

Sarah Hui

Small restaurant with a great outdoor balcony overlooking Mirror Lake. The drinks list has extensive scotch and bourbon options. There’s also plenty of good beer choices, but mostly in cans. The food was outstanding. It’s served tapas style with small portions and is meant for sharing. The chicken wings were outstanding - they are brined and cooked in duck fat so they are very moist and fatty (in a good way). The cheese plate and Mac and cheese were also outstanding.

We stopped in for a drink and we’re not disappointed. I had a lemon meringue martini with egg whites. Mom had a glass of wine. Great drinks, great service, superb views. Quiet for visiting with nice lighting. Not overly pricey!

We stopped in on the first day of our stay and kept coming back every night. The drinks are delicious (the house-made cherry hard seltzer was a big favorite) and they have a great beer and wine selection to go with their intriguing cocktail list. The view is amazing over the lake, especially at sunset, and the deck out back is really nice in warmer weather. The food is all small plates, and is on the spendy side, but it is all so well executed that it's hard to complain. Everything we ate here was amazing. If you're looking for a place for drinks or dinner, this is a great choice!

The food was delicious. No complains however, we asked our host to seat us outside and while we were waiting… she put a party that came wayyy after us outside and completely forgot about us. imo, i would come here again for the view not really the food just to be seated inside

Given how pricey everything was, we figured things would taste better than they did, but I guess we paid for lake views. We ordered the wings and the wagyu. The wings were fine, but not worth the price. The effort of confit didn’t seem to make a textural difference for them. The wagyu tasted good but was cut haphazardly and had an uneven cook. The wagyu also came with broccoli that didn’t taste like broccoli. Kind of tasted like the essence of broccoli…

Must do! Drinks are artwork. View is serene. This is not a discount place. I could drop a star based on the price, but if you forget that. ... You will not be disappointed.

Absolutely beautiful views and delicious small plates. I split some things with a group of friends and enjoyed their wings, pork jowls, arctic char, crab mac and cheese and the best apple cobbler I've ever had. My only complaint is the wait time for food, but the view and taste compensate.

Food was amazing! Portions were small but the taste and presentation were 5 star! Our server, Kara, was just as amazing as the food!

Service was friendly and welcoming. We stopped in because we need a break from the cold while our family members enjoyed the dog sledding. Portion sizes were definitely smaller than we are used to in Florida and yet still pricey. The kids loved the mac and cheese, it really was delicious. We enjoyed the view from the balcony (heated) as well.

Portions were ridiculous (and not in a good way). Extremely delicious, but also very small portion size. Probably because the place is more a bar than a restaurant for eating (my mistake). The calamari was like noodles! (a good thing, very yummy). The tuna missed the mark with the seasoning, could’ve been sweeter and less on the tart side. Lamb chops were definitely well-seasoned and grilled but 14$ per chop and it’s the size of a kiwi, kinda nuts. The only thing worth your money here is the drinks 💯 Don’t get me wrong the food is great but not worth the price at all. especially considering how small the portion size is.

I really hate writing negative reviews. So I have to be a bit upset to do this. We’ve been here at least a dozen times over the last 5 years, and every time I feel a little more upset. Drinks are definitely good. Recommendation is to only order from the menu with a concrete price on the drink. My husband got an old fashioned with Basil Hayden- not a super expensive whiskey, but the bill at the end showed they were $17.60 each. Holy cow. Totally not worth it. Small plates are good, definitely small, and overpriced.

Our experience was ok. The did was ok the atmosphere was good, but they have to seat you extemly close to others to make their patios keep up with demand

Location was beautiful and on the lake. The food was acceptable but took a long time. Waited at least 45 minutes for our meal and it arrived cold. Service acted surprised that we mentioned it was cold but had to have known it waited a while to be served. The restaurant isn’t that large. Took a chance on dessert and after 30 minutes said please cross that off. Then they brought the check out WITH the dessert on there and we had to have them take it off. For just drinks fine. Meal no.

I love the view, the cocktails are good, the food is good, pricey but thats to be expected in a tourist area. However the hostess with red hair is sort of mean on the phone. And likes to glare at us. And instead of filling our waters she brought a vase of water and sort of slammed it on our table. But I’ve also been a host and a server. So I get hating your job. Her outfit was good and her hair was nice so I wasn’t even upset about her holding the world record for the world’s worst attitude. I would be the same way too. But my hair isn’t as good

I love lamb chops..... HOWEVER, I have never seen lamb chops the size of 2 fingers before and the price isn't the point ...just the amount of actual food ....come on. And I asked to have my food WELL DONE, NO....I get pink meat in the middle ...then I watched the chef walk out...he was done at 10 minutes to 10pm......the back up chef was leaving as well.....she ....did go back and fix the pink in the middle...and the only diversity was me and the bus boy....WOW! And then there is a CC price and a cash price....news flash....you are only hurting your server doing that!!!

Was very surprised by how small the portions were. Wish I had known this was a "tapas" type bar before going in.

We came to Top of the Park in Lake Placid excited to relive the great experience we had last year, where the atmosphere, food, and service made it worth every dollar we spent. Unfortunately, this time was a total letdown and honestly one of the strangest, most disappointing restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. We asked to sit on the deck, but since it was full, we were fine with sitting inside and still planned to spend a couple hundred on food and drinks. Instead of simply showing us to our table, the host silently walked us outside toward the deck, confusing us into thinking we were being seated there. Then, out of nowhere, she turned us back around and dropped us at an inside table without a word of explanation. She tossed two menus down for four people, disappeared, came back and threw one more down, then walked away. No greeting, no “I’ll be right back with water,” no acknowledgment at all... just cold indifference. After that, she vanished. We sat in disbelief for several minutes with zero service, zero hospitality, and zero effort. As someone who has worked in the service industry for nearly a decade, this is exactly how you guarantee a table walks out. It was rude, unprofessional, and such a bizarre interaction that we decided to leave before even ordering. It’s sad because this spot has potential and we’ve had a great time here before, but after this experience, I wouldn’t recommend it. There are too many places in Lake Placid where your business will actually be valued.

Great view of the lake and the service was also good. But charging $18 for two small pieces of not so fresh focaccia with an odd tasting sauce is where we stopped ourselves from ordering more food for dinner. Bread should never cost $18 , especially if it's not even equivalent to half of what would have been used for a sandwich.

We were excited to visit the rooftop bar after it was highly recommended by close friends. Upon arrival, we were informed there was a private event and were told to return after it concluded at 7:00 PM. After spending a few hours exploring the area, we returned at the stated time, only to be told we could not be served because the staff “couldn’t reset.” After making the effort to come back based on the information provided, this experience was quite disappointing.

Well let’s just say they offer the most expensive bread in the world ! Went in with my wife for dinner . Started with 2 beers . Ordered the focaccia. This is where the story gets good . 18$ for 2 pieces of bread . Literally $4.50 a bite . No joke . Cmon people what do you think your Eric Ripert , Thomas Keller ?? You know that offering is typically free in other establishments. We chose not to continue our evening there based on the fact 2 beers and 2 pieces of bread was $40. Way to chase people out .
