The Grove Wine Bar, in Lakeway has a special weekend brunch that had some pretty incredible sounding entrees we had seen on IG for quite sometime! We were gonna be in the area and decided it was a must that we stop in!!! We’re so glad that we did!!! The outside seating during COVID was phenomenal!! We enjoyed seeing all the fun champagne flights go by and everyone with smiles on their faces as they enjoyed the food!! We had the Fried Chicken and Crème Brulèe French Toast: It was a Butter milk Fried Chicken, Challah Bread, Peach Marmalade, Maple Syrup **The Chicken was super juicy with a slight crunch, the bread was nice and fluffy and the peach marmalade mixed with the chicken reminded me of a sweet and sour sauce feel where there is a mix of sweetness and tang. Sunrise Flatbread Pizza: Two sunny side eggs, bacon, mozzarella, fontina, garlic, texas olive oil, dressed arugula, shaved parmesan, hollandaise. **Loved the thin texture of the flatbread and the peppery arugula. The hollandaise was deliciously buttery and eggs cooked perfectly. Reminded me of eating a fancier version of egg on sourdough toast as w child. The service and ambiance was phenomenal and when looking at their regular menu it was hard not to order more! Definitely check them out and add them to your list if you’re in the area! My dear friend rose and I had lunch on Monday on the patio. Our server Hannah S was absolutely phenomenal. She is so cute and personable, please ask for her next time you dine here she won’t disappoint!!

We came with a group and I’ve been hearing about the server Adan for quite some time from my friend. He was fabulous! Amazing! He was attentive, explained the special so well that 5 out of 8 chose the special!!

Adan was amazing. The food information and the service was 5 star. Staff/Manager were also very friendly and professional. Our 1st time here was definitely worth the trip.

Amazing view, atmosphere and food. Love the place from threshold, beautiful display of bottle corks on the wall. Staff are very friendly and our server Sergio C was very helpful. We ordered Ahi Tuna and Salmon salad , everything was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend this place and for sure will be back soon!!!!

I love the Grove Lakeway, I love seating out on the patio and having some wine and enjoying the beautiful view of the hill country. A lot of options on the menu for everyone even gluten-free pizza. They have an excellent happy hour menu. The upside-down cake it’s a must.

Such a great experience! Our server Michael made our date night very special and had such good recommendations! I also love those fancy healthy noodles they have there, so neat. I would definitely recommend if you’re in the Lakeway area!!!

Roe, our fabulous and wonderful waitress made our family dinner so enjoyable while dining out at Grove Wine Bar & Kitchen in Lakeway. Since we loved the food and service at another Grove location, we were excited to find one with spectacular views from the patio and inside the dining area. Simply amazing! Started with a flight of wine and a nice ciabatta bread appetizer. Honestly it was great. They seated us in one of the best seats in the place right on the balcony. After the appetizer the main course was excellent. I had a summer pasta dish and I ate the entire bowl. Great service and great food.

If you’re in or near the Austin area and you have not visited this location, you should treat yourself. If you’re from out of town, this should be a bucket list location for you to visit. Let me first talk about the ambience, beautiful! From the time you step into the restaurant, just gorgeous. The staff there makes you feel so comfortable and welcomed! If you are fortunate enough to get a seat on the outside, the view is breathtaking! They have flights of wines! We tried the fried oysters on chips, delicious! We also had the meatballs, delicious! The shrimp is delicious! Whatever you do, please save room for dessert, they have a butter cake there that will make you slap your mother! You will not be disappointed with this amazing place!

Absolutley impeccable experience. From the service (Hannah!) to the food to the views. We are planning to come back tomorrow for lunch, that’s how great it is. We all work in hospitality so we can be particularly aware of too many details - they NAILED every single one.

Great healthy food, lots of gluten free options and friendly service. Inside is nice, but it can be ear numbing load when full. If you want to have a conversation sit outside and enjoy the beautiful view!

Our server Susan was incredible. We were a chatty unfocused group celebrating a birthday. She made us feel welcome for our long lunch, made sure everyone had everything they needed, and found us a lighter to light the candles on the cake. We couldn't have asked for more.

The view of the hills and green beltway is so nice and telaxing when sipping cocktails and waine from the deck. It was our first time here and Adan was very helpful and informative about the menu and selections. We will return.

A pleasant dining experience with very friendly staff making for a lovely evening out. The patio seating was amazing with a view over the valley. We asked for non-alcoholic mocktails, and were pleasantly surprised with the bartenders magic in a glass. The crab cake, and halibut were truly spectacular with the right mixture of flavors. I specially loved how the Thai green-curry flavors worked with the crusted halibut. If you are of asian descent, I would avoid the spicy Asian noodles, as it wasn't something to write home. I have to give special mention to the upside down pineapple cake. Definitely a dish that must be experienced. Though a bit on the pricey end, the quality and atmosphere makes it all worth it.

This weekend I had my best friend baby sprinkle (baby shower) at The Grove Lakeway and it was an AMAZING experience! I live in Houston. so I had to handle everything over the phone until I was able to get there. Once I made the reservation over the phone for our party of 15 I was sent a text confirmation immediately. I loved having that level of professionalism and documentation to assure I had my reservation set. The hostesses were so nice and professional from my first phone call until the day I arrived! The manager Thomas ( I hope that’s the correct name) was sooo kind and accommodating!!! I couldn’t thank him enough for helping make her special day so beautiful! He allowed us to change our seating (more than once 🫣🤭) for the best possible spacing and help with lighting for the photographer. ☺️ Last but certainly not least, our sweet waitress Sarah! Sarah was stellar, superb, and attentive to all our guests needs! She even helped me while setting up with her beautiful handwriting. 😉 Sarah kept our mimosas flowing, food orders organized and arrived quickly, bills were split perfectly, and helped with anything we all needed no matter how minor it was. My friend was so pleased with the overall experience that I had to write a review. The atmosphere, food, and customer service were all a perfect 10 and I highly recommend this location! Thank you again for helping me celebrate my friend on her new journey into motherhood and exceeding her expectations!

What a nice, upscale place! I wouldn't recommend going in your old jeans or faded t-shirt. My Texas Redfish Plate ($32) was every bit as tasty as it looks. My family were similarly pleased with their meals.

This was such a special spot for us! We went here after our official proposal for dinner and everyone from the bartender, Susie to our server Michael. Even the hosts were so kind. Everyone knew the occasion and really made it memorable for us, not to mention the food!! Best bruschetta and Texas red fish I’ve had in a while. My Fiancé ordered the halibut and absolutely loved it! Portions are so good for the price you pay. They ended up giving us a dessert on the house to commemorate the occasion!!! Can’t wait to go back. loved the ambiance, how intimate the outside seating was with the view. We really enjoyed ourselves and felt so taken care of ☺️.

We eat at The Grove about four times a year and have always enjoyed it. This past Thursday (11/20) was our most enjoyable night! We sat with our friends at the high top table near the wine rack. It was quiet and comfortable. Our waiter, Mike, was the best! Very informative and funny. Everyone enjoyed their meals (lasagna, spaghetti, PORK CHOP (yum!), and the steak salad. It was a wonderful evening.

I made reservations for lunch on a Saturday for my friend’s birthday. We chose this location because we heard the view was fabulous and it was! Our server was excellent at checking on our table and bringing/removing dishes. The food was delicious. And they surprised my friend a small brownie dessert - which was free. I always enjoy the steak salad, this time Adan recommended a champagne vin instead of the blue cheese dressing and it was delicious! Great service too.

Really beautiful place to have brunch! The breakfast flatbread was incredible, as were the migas and the grove hash. Had a bachelorette party brunch and it was perfect. Pretty views and good food. Removed a star because the service was alright. Staff was very nice but they kept forgetting things we asked for. Wouldn’t recommend the bourbon, maple, mint cocktail either.

Service was great. We sat by the window on a chilly afternoon. Mimosas were inexpensive and delicious and generous. Mushroom soup was a must try. Lots of gluten free options. We would come back.

Update 02-11-2024 Our last stop at The Grove - Lakeway was not very pleasant. We were in Lakeway again this week, and decided to give them another shot... A marked improvement from our last visit. Elliott waited on us at the bar and did a fantastic job. Thank you, sir! The drinks were very good, Bombay martini ... made just right. On the food side of things, we started with a new menu item: Tempura Japanese Eggplant. Very tasty, very good, delivered piping hot! The batter on the eggplant was thin and crispy, the eggplant itself delicious. Served on a bed of miso vinegarette and sweet chili Thai sauce, garnished with a little green onion and togarashi spice. Our only issue with the dish is that the fried eggplant was placed on top of the two sauces. So, for the first two or three pieces of eggplant, you cannot reach the sauces. And, by the time we got to the bottom of the plate, the pieces of eggplant were soggy on the bottom. Suggestion: Put the sauces in a small dish on the side for dipping. That would work wonderfully! Next up... the beet salad. We have had that before, and its simply a delicious salad. Red, gold and candy-stripe beets, mixed greens, green apple, mandarin orange slices, spiced candied pecans, goat cheese with a citrus vinegarette balsamic dressing. Super fresh ingredients, served in an ice-cold plate ... fun to eat too, as you "unpack" the salad as you eat. Very good! We went in a totally different direction for us on the next dish... oven roasted meat balls. The meatballs were full of flavor, well cooked. The san marzano marinara had a little heat in it, with a generous bit of parmesan cheese sprinkled across the top... toasted focaccia present to soak up the sauce was a great touch. Much better visit this time, reflected in the higher star rating. Recommend The Grove - Lakeway when you are in the area. August 2023 We stopped by The Grove - Lakeway with friends on a recent Saturday evening. The evening started off a bit rocky, as the hostess and several waiters could not figure out how to sit us down. We were a party of five, which I concede is an odd number, but it took almost 15 minutes for them to figure out where to put us. With that ordeal out of the way, we settled in and ordered drinks and appetizers. The fried oysters were very good, could have been served hotter (temperature). Many pieces of our order of fried okra (fried whole okra, not the chopped-up pieces you're used to) were inedible. We asked our waitress about that, and her reply was "Okra is really not in season right now, so it can be tough." Our thought was ... then why have it on the menu. The okra also was not served very hot. We shared a wedge salad that was very good, right amount of dressing, plenty of blue cheese crumbles, served quite chilled. For entrees we ordered the redfish entree and redfish tacos. Both were very good, could have been served a little bit hotter. The black beans served with the fish tacos were a bit salty. Seems like an issue at this location may be not enough staff to get the food out when it's ready, so food orders sit a bit in the kitchen. Kudos to the restaurant for bringing out a couple of complimentary desserts, one member of our party was celebrating an anniversary! The chocolate brownie with ice cream and the upside down pineapple cake, also served with ice cream, were both delicious. So, all in all, a good experience, but it could have been much better ...

The patio seating at this place is awesome! We went on a chilly evening but wanted to enjoy the view of the valley from the hilltop patio and we were glad to feel the warm air from the heater above our table. The customer service was great from the host, to the servers and the assistants. This was our first visit and our server Ashley B. was patient with us while we were deciding what to order and made some great recommendations like the Melted Snowman draft beer and the Pork Chop Saltimbocca that are pictured in my review. I would recommend this place for the food or to have some wine/drinks with friends.

I found the other location of the restaurant last night by chance during my visit in Austin and I was really satisfied with everything, including food quality, customer service, cleanliness and decoration. So, I selected the restaurant again but in this location for today. View is just great here, but the food quality is not the same. I can say this because one of our order’s was the same.

The tuna salad and the hummus appetizer were absolutely amazing. The service was pretty good overall but the waitress could have been a little more attentive. We do recommend that you check it out - the views are amazing!! Recommend 💯- disfruta!

The Grove offers fantastic views from the open restaurant. We ordered Calamari and Shrimps for starters and Pizza for entree and all the dishes were delicious. My only feedback was that I had informed that it was my wife's birthday both at time of booking as well as when we reached at the reception. However none of this was passed to server.. it would have been good to make her feel a little special. So the personalised touch was lost.

We went there for galentines. View was good and the seating area was comfortable. However, the service was not good. Their electronic system seemed to be down; our order couldn't be taken. We had to repeat multiple times on what we wanted. Food came promptly. I ordered the salmon toast. The salmon was very salty and hard. I would not recommend. After eating, they rushed to collect our plates as well. My friend was not done eating and drinking her coffee and was rushed twice. Additionally, they didn't have many options for tea; only hot or iced tea. Overall, other than the view, there wasn't much for me to return to.

Want to experience some amazing food in an amazing place? Grove is definitely your place! Amazing service and food will make you want to visit the place again. Their Bruschetta is just worth it. Heirloom tomato, basil pesto, mozzarella, balsamic Bruschetta; Apple, fig chutney, brie Bruschetta and Strawberry, goat cheese, balsamic, basil Bruschetta were just amazing! Their Burrata Top shelf Pizza was equally delicious. Their Pine Apple Cake with Ive cream was just the perfect dessert. Do try and enjoy!

This restaurant has some of the best views. The food - Noodles and Tejas Bowl were pretty good. The cheese pizza can definitely be better. Vegetarian options are lesser compared to other Italian restaurants. Will definitely visit again.

There was no wait for our group of three at 6:30 pm this Tuesday. Our waiter, Jeff, was kind and efficient. My fries were too salty but my burger was really good (even though it was messy to eat hehe). Unfortunately, the tiramisu wasn’t good.

I really hate to write this, but my experience at The Grove Wine Bar & Kitchen in Lakeway was extremely disappointing and concerning. My friend and I both ordered the redfish tacos, and almost immediately after eating them we started feeling very sick. My friend became nauseous to the point of vomiting and even had a visible reaction around her mouth. When we informed our server about what was happening, the situation was handled poorly. Our concerns were dismissed, and no one took the physical reaction seriously, which made the experience even worse. While I can’t say exactly what caused our reaction, something was definitely off with the food we were served. The vegetables tasted strange and did not seem properly prepared, and the overall dish did not seem fresh or safe to eat. Based on this experience, we will not be returning. I hope the restaurant takes food safety and customer concerns more seriously in the future, but for now, I cannot recommend dining here.

The worst dining experience in my whole entire life! Beware with their outdoor dining area!! They have this ceiling fans open that I don't know what's the reason behind opening it when the weather is so cold. And who puts string lights close to a ceiling fan??? It was a nightmare for me and my family members.. the ceiling fan and all the outdoor dining is a big safety concern! The ceiling fan got broken after it hit the string lights and one of the propellers broke and suddenly flew to my face, luckily I saw it and just turned around but still hit my neck to shoulder area. It was a huge, thick fan propeller and I don't think people will understand this if you didn't experience or saw it in person. Everybody was in shock and panicky because no one is turning off that ceiling fan even if it was still broken and hit ME on my neck! My family had to shout a few times just so everyone is aware to turn off the ceiling fan! Compensated all of our food but it will but our life will never be the same again.. the trauma you this restaurant caused us! And I think the staff wasn't really fully trained to execute an emergency because they don't even know what to do and at the end they just offered me free wine and the calling card of who ever we need to talk incase we have future claims with them. Other than that, one of the staff members were a little bit nosy and staring at us and giving us that annoying look! And that's unacceptable and inappropriate. To conclude this, someone needs to be liable.. definitely not coming back to any restaurants named after this company in future. Luckily, the food and server was good but still not a solution to a horrible accident that could have been prevented by the staff or maintenance. Safety of customers is the top priority but they have ZERO of that yesterday! Thank God for the EMT and for my family who took care of me.
