Busy Bee

This is a great little store with amazing selection and super helpful staff. They answered all of my kids' questions, admired their eclectic fabric choices, and do great longarm work (based on the showcase piece although I will definitely be bringing my next large project for quilting)

I was so excited when I first saw the signage for the shop. I was actually gazing through the window before they opened and the ladies invited me in. I am in a power wheelchair and I am able to access the shop through the rear door. The staff is so friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. There is a lovely selection of fabrics, notions, thread and patterns. I brought in a tee shirt quilt that my friend and her daughters made as a Christmas gift. I had no ideas for the long arm quilting. They gave me great advice and options with out any pressure. I gave them full reign and the quilt came out beautifully. We were all thrilled with the end result. It was obvious that Lynn put a lot of thought into the design as well as the thread choice. It was very close to Christmas so we also had the binding done there. They offered an idea for the binding fabric that really enhanced the quilt. The binding was definitely done at a skill level I would not have been able to achieve. The long arm quilting and binding is at a very professional level. I was inspired to get back to work on another quilt so that I can have the quilting done there. It is wonderful to have a quilt shop here in Lakewood. Stop in and see what they have to offer, I promise you will be impressed!

What a lovely shop. I just stopped in. They carry Moda fabrics, have long arm for quilting and some notions. Please stop in this is a lovely shop and I am hoping they can be around for a while.

The staff is 1,000% super friendly and extremely helpful! We got there about 30 minutes shy of them closing (on a Sunday! So you know they probably just wanted to close up and go home), and ALL of them were like, "Take your time....Can we help you?" I just couldn't believe the top shelf customer service! So, so friendly! Definitely a keeper!

Awesome store! Has a neat collection of quilting fabrics- some pre cuts and kits as well. Thats was i was mostly looking at, but it seemed like they had some new machines displayed as well. Super kind and help staff. I also got to give the neighborhood dog a treat :) Looking forward to coming back. Many thanks!

I LOVE the Quilting Bee! I’ve been saving some of my eldest child’s favorite clothes so that when they graduated I would give them a special quilt. Since I haven’t the foggiest idea about quilting, I contacted the Quilting Bee.The QB worked with me and designed the most wonderful, cuddly and meaningful blanket! I can’t wait for my senior to receive this gift and to enjoy it, like visiting a museum of their childhood, for years to come!

UPDATE: Still a must visit when Mom comes to town. Their new location has a bigger selection making it an even better place to shop for the fabric fanatic in your life.

A quaint place to pop in for a wide selection of fabrics & threads for any sewer. The welcoming staff are always curious about projects their customers are working on. They also give discounts for the high school kiddos taking Fashion Design.
