Great miso, tuna, yellow fin, eel, scallops, salmon sashimi, and sushi. Very friendly staff clean envious, good selection of food on the menu. You can’t go wrong with stopping thru, and getting a bite to eat.

What a fantastic place to go. We are out of town and wanted grab some sushi with friends, we giggled and found so many options. But after all decided to come here and it was absolutely Bingo. Food was absolutely delicious and portions are Huge . Prices very well priced . Service was wonderful and atmosphere was delightful. It a place if we lived here will be our to come back for sure ! So go enjoy! Lots to choose from and everything taste very fresh . Cheers to good place !

Went last night for dinner its been a while I haven't been there. The sushi was still a hit. But the chicken teriyaki the chicken a little rough. Great service and sushi was good.

My husband and I have been going here at least a couple times a year for sushi. We decided for date night this week we go here. Unfortunately, our experience is not the best right from the get. We walked in the door and we were told to sit wherever we want, we picked a booth in the back corner. We waited about 5 minutes before anyone brought us a menu. While we saw other people getting seated and getting the menus immediately. Finally someone came over and took our drink order. We also ordered edamame. Which came out fairly quickly. We did add a tempura vegetable appetizer, when it came, we asked for appetizer plates and waited until somebody finally came by, asked again for appetizer plates, and they finally brought them. Service wasn’t very good at this point. Our sushi finally came and it was definitely looked a little smaller than usual, and not as appetizing, especially the volcano roll which we always get. We had a hard time finding the sushi pieces in the volcano roll, and it fell apart. Kind of disappointing. Decided to we try the Mary roll, which is actually pretty good and caterpillar roll. Food was good overall & service improved at the end. They came and refilled our water a couple of times, we went ahead and gave a decent tip in spite of the initial service. I highly recommend this place but it’s best to go when it’s not busy. When it’s busy, that’s when things are not as good in terms of service or food.

Really like the authentic feel of this small Japanese place. We got the sushi, but there are other items on the menu. I thought the food was absolutely delicious. We order in less than 2 mins of sitting down and got our food in less than 5 mins even though the place was a little crowded. Kudos to the wait staff for that. They kept checking up on us as they walked around. Not nosy or anything. Just keeping sure that we were attended to. We sat at the bar so we were able to see the chefs making the rolls. The place was clean and the people were happy as far as I could tell. I would recommend this place for a quick bite to eat cause you won't be in here long as the food is delivered quick and the staff is prompt. All in all, took about 45 mins from door to door.

When our hungry tummies led us to Mikasa Japanese Bistro in Lathrop, we thought we hit the jackpot. Sushi, here we come! The good news is that Mikasa still manages to serve up some delectable rolls amid the chaos. If you're looking for a taste explosion, the Godzilla, DCS, and Jerry's rolls will knock your socks off. They're the shining stars in a constellation of sushi mishaps. Now, onto the not-so-great aspects. If you're planning on visiting Mikasa, be sure to bring your patience and a good book. Making a reservation is like having a golden ticket to Willy Wonka's factory; otherwise, prepare to twiddle your thumbs for what feels like an eternity. Perhaps they should consider offering entertainment like sushi-themed magic tricks or origami lessons to pass the time. When it comes to the staff, well, let's just say they've perfected the art of being not-so-friendly. It's like they took a crash course in indifference and aced it. On the bright side, their distracted state provides endless entertainment. We witnessed plates being slammed on tables with such gusto that we half-expected the sushi to go flying across the room. It's like a live-action comedy show, but with raw fish! Oh, and did we mention the declining quality of their rolls? It's as if the sushi gods have forsaken them. We're not sure what happened, but over the past few months, their once-pristine rolls have taken a nosedive. It's like they went from culinary masters to sushi apprentices who got a little too carried away with experimentation. We miss the days of perfectly crafted rolls that danced on our taste buds.

I came in looking forward to a good meal—and thankfully, the food didn’t disappoint. Everything I ordered was flavorful and well-prepared, clearly made with care in the kitchen. If I were rating the food alone, it would easily be four or five stars. Unfortunately, the service told a very different story. I waited patiently to be seated, only to watch a family of six walk in after me and get seated immediately. No explanation, no apology just a shrug and a long wait. Once I was finally seated, the service continued to be slow and inattentive. It felt like I was more of an inconvenience than a guest. It’s a shame, because the food deserves better. I’d love to come back for the flavors, but only if the staff can match the kitchen’s quality with a little more consideration and professionalism.

After having my chair moved while I was still sitting in it to make room for another customer I can honestly say that I was embarrassed and surprised to be treated as less than. The food was good and I return regularly for their fried rice. I think it may be sometime before I return to enjoy a meal inside this restaurant again.

Their sushi is alright, nothing spectacular, but it's still good, you should check your takeout order before leaving, they always try to rush me out and when I got home I realized they got my order wrong. 10/04/2022 Update: I tried Mikasa again today, it's been almost a year since I've had their Sushi, I ordered the Spider roll and Salmon Sashimi appetizer, total was amazingly cheap, $21, that's it! But when I brought it home and opened the box I was disappointed, it looked more like a salad, I didn't see a roll just a mountain of rice! When I tried to pick it up the piece fell apart, each piece fell apart. The only good thing was the Sashimi, it was delish!

This is by far the worst sushi I have had. Rice was hard (for sure it’s not sushi rice they used) and loose. Everything was bland; from the rolls to the tempura sauce. I have never seen tempura shrimp made like that ( if I didn’t see the tail, I didn’t even know it’s shrimp); and they are not crunchy at all! The only thing I liked was the Ika Wakame. Overall disappointed.

Omg! Chick fil-A is better than this place. Visited this restaurant after such a long time as the last time I remember the food not being so good but I gave it another try and was greatly disappointed. Ordered the Kings roll. It was super dry. The rolls was pretty big but mainly had rice. There was a tiny piece of shrimp and a small piece of spicy tuna that I could barely see or taste. Do not go there. save your money and find another good sushi spot.

I was treated very poorly from the staff. One of those things where they literally just ask “what do you want” in that certain tone. No greetings or pleasantries. I ordered close to 100$ in food not including the tip I left, hoping to have a nice sushi date at home, as it was busy in the restaurant. I can no longer recommend this location to friends and family. I won’t jump to conclusions as to why I was treated this way, but if you go there and are of a certain color and have the same experience, you are not alone.
