I gave 5 stars, good food, I love happy hour! Had one carhop with bad attitude and eye rolling, started not to go back. But I figured everyone deserves a 2nd chance and so far haven't had that particular girl
First time in years at this location - its an older, sad-looking and usually empty location. But... Five stars for the carhop (the name must remain anonymous) who warned us away from the Sonic SPLASH sodas prominently featured on a poster in front of us. "Don't order one -t hey are disgusting" she warned. "Every person who orders one immediately asks for something else. I wish they would take that poster down." Wow - that honesty is rare, and we happily stuck with our usual order.
Ty was a amazing carhop and Michelle is a amazing manager helped me out when something on the order was forgotten. And when said item was not available she offered others. Thank you been gone almost a year from my home town so its was refreshing to come back to amazing service Thank you so much.
Excellent Dre was our car hop super friendly patient everything was correct in our order n taste like the cook enjoyed making it. When I asked for peppermint he gave me a small cup almost full my kids were happy great experience... usually always is in Leander location... Burnet is always a great location too... kinda of a tie but libertyhill is horrible... we live n Bertram and will drive past libertyhill to a different sonic cause liberty hill isn't worth the money and the employees will leave u n a bad mood for sure
The food is always fresh and hot! The only times it takes longer to get your food is during special sales days, like .99 chili cheese dogs. Plus, they're open 'til 11pm, so great after a football game night!
I called in a very large order for our whole company last minute. David was super positive and willing to make it happen. He has a winning spirit! Super grateful for David! It’s so rare to find people who care about their job and understand quality customer service these days. Especially in fast food. David, you are a gem!
We stopped in right before a meeting, not realizing they weren't open yet. We were 15 minutes before opening time. The folks there were kind enough to not turn us away and prepared our small order. Top notch customer service right there.
I love Sonic. Been going there since before I can even remember. I've had good experiences, bad experiences, comically terrible experiences, and glowingly wonderful experiences. Had the latter the last time. I'm always a little leery of ordering anything "too" custom from Sonic. Typically, the people that work there are younger and probably at their first job while going to high school/college. I've had to keep this in mind when ordering at OTHER sonic restaurants. The one here that I am reviewing, can handle anything. If I want a double cheeseburger with lightly whisked mayo and a mustard smiley face on the bottom texas toast bun, one patty medium-well, the other medium-well, the cheese placed at a 22.5° angles offset from one another, exactly 28.4375 onion chunks, 6 pickle slices arranged in a star pattern, and mustard on the top bun, this time with a mayo smiley face, and cut the crusts off, I'm pretty sure they would do it. But don't be that difficult. That's not cool. Last time I was there I realized I lost my debit card. Rather than tell me to get lost, they just gave it to me. Awesome. I don't take charity, so I'll go back and tip them all $10.16, the exact cost of my meal, but that was really awesome. Thanks so much, staff at this Sonic location. Keep being great at what you do.
Much improved!!! I can tell Sonic upgraded about a month ago (new paint, additional menu items). The cheesy bacon stack and the garlic butter burger are FANTASTIC!! FOOD was extremely fresh and the bacon ranch queso wrap was BOMB as well. Try these people 💯
We drive from Liberty Hill to come to this Sonic. We have always gotten quality fast food ,great staff and fairly quick depending on the crowd. In a year they only got 1 order wrong and were happy to fix it. My wife is picky and they have no issues to change up a meal to please and seem happy to do so. Worth the drive from Liberty Hill every time .
Arrived earlier than their opening hours by mistake but instead of turning us away they explained they had just got everything ready to start service, let me know when they open normally and took care of my order anyway. Jeff, the manager, even came out to double check to male sure our order was correct and ask if we needed anything else. Very friendly and professional. 5 stars plus service. Thank you so much Jeff and the rest of your team. :)
We visited today and had an exceptional experience. Keiryn is a top knotch server! She is so joyful and she treats her customers with so much respect. We look forward to visiting again!
Always yummy. The new marketing is really geared toward customer service, so the experiences have been consistently good since they updated their ordering system. The food is definitely high calorie, but so worth it!
I got my order and I checked it and it was not fresh I asked for the manger Jeff Is actually the GM was so sweet he remade my order for me I really appreciate him lot for what he did. First time I had Sonic in a long time and it was honestly a pretty good choice. The cheesy bacon sonic stack was delicious and I forgot how good their tater tots were. The Reece’s sonic blast was a good dessert was great choice. Would definitely recommend stopping by.
Great service, fresh food. Liberty was running the show and did an awesome job: She needs a raise/promotion! We quit going to the Cedar Park location due to repeatedly poor service. This location has not let us down!
Stopped at this location to pick up a mobile order. By the time I arrived, my pickup method changed so I had to go through the drive thru. Once there the guy was super nice and offered a drink for the inconvenience, which I declined, and instead asked for an extra mint. Sonic mints and ice hits different (yummy). The grill cheese sandwich was PERFECT. Check out the even color and the right amount of cheese (don’t judge 🥰). I drove the extra 6 miles to avoid the cedar park cypress creek road location. Hey Sonic, for every item we purchase- can we get one mint per item? 🥰
Friendly service. The car hop was apologetic that it took long even though it really didn't. I don't care for ordering through the app. Ice cream and shakes all tasted great.
Was awful before as we were served raw chicken wings but they gave us 4 drink tokens to make up for that but that was months ago. Recently came back and the server brought me 2 drink tokens(he was super sweet) so my stars are going from 2 to then 3 to now 4
Sonic really needs to update their communications devices on the terminals. It's hard to hear the attendant. The screen in my drive up was broken so I couldn't verify if my card went through. Fries were way over salted. Best experience I had was with the person who delivered the food. She was very sweet.
One of our favorite Sonics. Today it was slow an DC the fries were not hot and we sent them back. My burger top bun was cold. No excuse for either of these to happen. We could go to Chili's and get a much better meal, enough food we could split one meal for less money. We will be back but if something this simple happens again, here we come Chili's.
1st time at this location and I'm pleased. Got our order for 3 people 100% correct and delivered fast. Positive employee and very helpful and polite. I will make it my go to location when I'm working close by.
Paid for a double patty burger and got a single patty after waiting 15 to 20 minutes. Only realized after arriving home. Time was fine, wrong order was not especially on a busy day where returning to the restaurant was not possible.
Sonics Redemption! I've been coming to this sonic since I was a kid. A few years ago, this Sonic did not have good customer service, and the food always came out cold or incorrect. I had written this Sonic off and hardly came to this location. I had decided to try it again once the location was remodeled. And I'm so glad I have it another chance because this location had really turned around! Great customer service food is always hot and has no issues after multiple visits across a few months period. It's been consistently good.
The patio is very clean. When I checked in with my app, my order was identified quickly. My server was friendly and clean. I enjoyed my interaction with him. I ordered a slush and cheese sticks. They were both prepared correctly. This appears to be an efficient Sonic with solid customer service. I look forward to returning to see if this holds true.

My husband always haves hard time placing his order where they cant hear him or we dont understand them on speaker in the stall. Ordering once pressing the button was a reasonable time. Had wait to long for our order and we never order alot of food.
I went and ordered a breakfast burrito. It was seriously the most pathetic burrito I've ever received from a Sonic. Maybe a singular egg and piece of sausage. Now I don't have high expectations for any Sonic but, at least put a little more egg in those things. The service was decent at least.
We ordered a drink, aslush, and a blast. One lady came out and apologized for the ice cream maker not being turned on and asked us if we would like to change the blast to something else. Our son really wanted a blast so we just asked to cancel the blast. When we got the other two drinks, we asked if we would be refunded the amount for the blast and the other lady couldn't tell us for sure, so she said she was going to ask her manager. ?? Never came back. We waited a good few minutes before leaving. We still dont know if we will get refunded.
It has taken too much time just to make an order lately. Used to love this place. The kids were respectful and worked hard. Not sure what happened. Kids moved on? Graduated school? Whoever was the team leader or manager 2 to 3 years ago needs to be rehired or contracted as a consultant. Don't want to stop there anymore.
Food is over priced for the quality. They never give me my sauces that I ask for when I order. Then, seemingly get annoyed when I ask for them, this is every single time I go there.
Ordered a small chocolate sundae. It was half melted. Mgr said that's how it comes out of the machine, but "it won't hurt me" to eat it. I told her that ice cream is usually cold, firm and swirly on top. She said the machine is old. I told her that, "so am I, but if something breaks, I get it fixed!" It's only early April in Texas!
First, sonic prices have gone up, some I see. They need better kid options personally. The food was fine, but Sonic is just sonic. It's nothing crazy to write home about truthfully. We stopped there cause my family member is obsessed with them. Customer service was great. Trying to order was a pain we couldn't hear them that well, and the suns reflection on the order screen made ordering difficult too. Also, the order process was a bit frustrating due to it not accepting the card, too. Besides that, the experience was okay, Sonic, let's get them prices back down. You're competing with more gourmet style burger joints now when it comes to price. That's not really your realm to compete.
Food was awful couldn’t finish my food, tots were cooked perfectly but were wayyy too salty, I tried to keep eating them because I was so drunk and hungry but I just couldn’t get over the amount of salt lol, we pretty much wasted our money. I feel bad for even writing this because it looked like there was one extremely stressed out maybe in highschool kid working but came there for food to eat you know
I have eaten here about 7-9 times over the past 1/2 year to 1 year. I would say that on all occasions they have messed up the order or forgotten something. I.E. tonight we got the kids meals. One has a toy in it and one doesn't. Not helpful with 2 kids. Other times we are a fry short or a burger short and it requires a return trip to correct.
This is the worst sonic I have ever been to. Took 30min to get our order and the ice cream in my oreo blast was melted. The tator tots and burger were tasteless, lukewarm at best, and not worth the wait. I definitely won't be back. Its a shame too since its so close to me and I usually enjoy sonic.
This place is notorious for being slow, I have been there at least a dozen times before this review. They normally get the order right but the quality isn't always there. One star for the area looking clean and up to standard, one more star for the food as it is what you should expect from a Sonic I renewed my review since I just went today. Again slowest sonic in the country, I feel bad for the employees because I don't know if it is their fault or the owner. This place needs help. Slow, slow, slow.
We have two Sonic locations in Leander, both not great. I don't know if I'm painting the past in gold, if my taste has changed, or if this franchise is taking a dive in quality. Regardless, I've visited both locations several times and I do not recommend their cold burgers. On occasion I'll crave their chili cheese tots. But if you want a burger, do yourself a favor and go to Shark Burger.
Came back to try it again and the prices have really gone up. I will never come back. However the food was really good.
Great for dessert and shakes but their fried items always taste like old grease. I got the gravy once with a meal and it was like water, must have been a mistake but whoever put it in the container must have not cared at all. The burgers are okay but not special in any way.
Waited almost 20 minutes for one cheeseburger meal and kids meal. French fries and corn dog were soggy so I'm not sure why it took so long. The screen at the stall was frozen so I wasn't able to confirm my order was correct or pay in advance.
Go to get some food here and they say 20 minute wait. This is fast food. And their stalls weren't even full. This dude said "We're getting really slammed right now." This seems to be a recurring theme at all fast food joints these days. Humans have devolved so bad they can't even make a burger without it being an act of congress. Ridiculous
Went to this location a week ago and once I got home I noticed that one third of the meal had not been placed in the bag. Went back to the store and had to go through three levels of managers before being told that I would not get a refund for my order. I finally got a hold of the area manager, Angela, on the telephone, who promised me a refund but it's a week later and it's not shown up in my bank account yet. Also the staff on premises was extremely rude and defensive and told me they did not make enough in tips to pay attention to accuracy in their food preparation. I was quite flabbergasted by the whole thing, especially after having tipped my server earlier that evening myself.. This is a decent location overall, but if they get your order wrong, buyer beware.
Ice maker in the fridge was on the fritz. Decided to “treat” ourselves to fancy Sonic ice. Bought a little styrofoam cooler from HEB and picked two 10 pound bags from Sonic. Everything was great until the second day when we had used/ice melted. There was a dirt ring around the inside of the cooler and all the melted water and ice looked dirty. We had been using a clean scoop. Never used a cup or hands or anything else. So beware of Sonic ice. Maybe it’s time for them to clean their ice makers.
I keep giving this place second chances and every time I do I get the shaft. The hard one. One day they're out of Dr. Pepper, next day they're out of milk. The next time they'll destroy an order with wrong stuff. How hard is it remember "-no mayo!!". Service is usually fair. But they still scam you for the change. "You forgot to bring any when you brought the food out?? Well then, yes. I'd like my change please."
It doesn’t seem super busy to me, plenty of cars have come and gone without being helped since I pulled up. Took over 15 minutes just for them to acknowledge the button was pressed and they didn’t seem very friendly. Now I’ve been waiting 10+ minutes for the food after I’ve paid. Maybe it was just a stressful day and they are severely understaffed, that’s the only reason I’m not giving it a 1 star. This is a little too ridiculous.
App wouldn't work and staff had no idea why. Paid full.price for slashes. Couldn't hear the person on the speaker and I had to repeat my simple order of #6 # 7 and #2 3 or 4 times and still got it wrong. We quit going ro the one in Liberty Hill for these same reasons. Will probably be my last visit to this one as well as service was extremely slow with only 4 cars in the entire parking lot.
I’m happy to report they typically get our order right these days. What I want to talk about now is the Sonic Blast, this use to be a great part of what they were known for. They would mix in whatever toppings you chose and it was a tasty treat. Being overweight, I have cut back on all treats, but occasionally (once a month or so) my wife and I will stop and get one to share. Which brings me to my complaint, and it’s not just this location. They no longer mix the toppings in to a Blast. They seem to think that putting them all on top of the ice cream makes it more presentable, maybe. I don’t know what lead to this change but they should strongly consider changing it back. Or mix in the toppings and then also put some on top, if it’s the presentation they are looking for. I also want to say their tots at this location are on point 95% of the time.
Wanted a quick snack, I pushed the button for service and the screen told me to wait, for 10 minutes I waited and at that point I got out and asked an employee when they will take my order, he told me to push the button again and wait. It then took another 5 minutes to get my fries. There were only 3 other cars there. They tasted like they were hours old. Will not be coming back to this location.
We paid almost $6.00 for this butterfinger blast that had a very small sprinkle of butterfinger dust and one very small piece of chocolate on top. The rest was just plain vanilla ice cream. I could have bought a half gallon of ice cream and several butterfingers. My wife’s was no better.
App is terrible. Wont let me order, declines all my methods of payment and uses my reward but won't let the order go through then says I've used my reward. Happened several times now and I've had to leave without food or pay at the sign and not get any of my happy hour pricing or my rewards
They never say thank you at this Sonic. Such bad customer service! And, they take long to bring your order out. It's a shame for a good fast food place. This time I got attitude when ordering because I asked what size the large drink is. Seriously! You need people who take pride in their work at this location.
I ordered a simple cheeseburger meal and it never came. Asked twice where it was and they said it was coming "in a minute." They didn't even apologize. 20 or so minutes later, we stormed off because it was taking too long
Terrible attention, not all of the employees, but there are about 3 in that place who should not work there, or anywhere that provides services. people, they speak badly and treat the client badly, the word and knowledge about kindness, cordiality, respect and customer service do not exist in their minds. Visited the Leander location twice in the last week. 1st time I ordered 2 drinks and two kid meals and it took 30-45 minutes to receive. The drinks were wrong and a kid meal was wrong......so had to wait longer. Then went back and again ordered a kids meal, specifically telling them what goes on the burger......just like last time, and its still wrong. Plus had to wait 30 minutes again. I will never never go back.
Ordered on the app only to find after paying and arriving that they were "out of ice cream" When I asked what could be done to substitute a $5+ blast I ordered & I was told a $2 drink. When I further asked if I could substitute a bag of ice($3.24) for the $5+ blast, I was just asked again what type of drink I wanted instead. Highly annoying if you were to ask me.
Waited an hour just to order and couldn't get anyone inside to even acknowledge our presence. Two systems restarted after 15min causing us start over in the waiting line. Not my first bad experience here, but definitely the worst.
Wanted a Lemonade, waited in the drive through for 15 min, finally get up there and I’m told to go to a stall instead. Annoying but whatever go to the stall and press the button to order after about 5-10 min screen changes from we will be right with you to press the button to order no tried to take my order or say anything. So I left and will never come back again.
If you like waiting over 5 minutes to not get service and moving kiosks to find out more than half either don't have a working card reader or a working display system, then this is the place for you! Ask an employee and they'll tell you they all work. Yeah right. Not returning to this location until they fix their technical difficulties.
They tried to charge me $1 for a small cup of water. A small water cup is usually complimentary at every other restaurant I've been to in my entire life.
I would give it a 0 if I could. We ordered one sandwich and one drink, sat there for over 30 minutes before we finally just left. There was one other car there when we got there and within the 30 minutes at least 4 other cars came and left with nothing but frustration. I will never be going back to this sonic and probably never pre-pay at any sonic again. Management really needs to invest in some training workshops.
Spent 36 minutes in this drive thru for lunch today, not because they were busy, but because between two different bays they wouldn't get on the intercom to take my order. Watched cars pull in next to me, after me, and get served and leave first. Then, after all of this, the car hop delivers our food to tell my 6-year old that they are out of ice cream and can't do his milkshake. A Sonic... out of ice cream. What a trash establishment that I wouldn't visit again except for their tasty burgers and drinks.
Came here tonight for a drink before I go and run deliveries,waited for 10 minutes and no one answered the red button, got out to see what was happening , no one was inside the restaurant all day, door locked and there were online orders on the screen that hadnt been touched in awhile since they were blinking red. I asked a few of the other cars who were there and no one had been helped. I never leave reviews like this because I work in the food service industry and know that times are tough right now but having an open restaurant and no staff-? I've never ever seen that. At least put a sign on the door or turn off the lights if you can't find someone to work the night shift. I'm super disappointed and baffled. This sonic is my go to for drinks and mozz sticks , sucks to see what it's becoming :/
I placed an order for 2 regular pretzels and when I got home I discovered that they were both way over cooked. And the Frito pie was really dry no extra chilli or cheese that I had asked for. And they're a lot slower to get the orders out.
I ordered two regular chili dogs no cheese with onions and mustard and an order of tater tots and cherry limeade, no peel..... to-go order. Get home, open the bag..... hot dogs undercooked, chili cold (5 min drive home) tator tots had been cooked and left to sit a while (you know what I mean). Cherry limeade was great..... food sucked as it always does. I only stopped because it was closed and I was in a hurry... I need to slow down as I throw a lot of money away at crappy fast food places. I really don't know how they do it how they stay in business... One other note this particular place in Leander looks like someone poured grease all over the front as you go in the door do they not believe in steam cleaning the place. It always looks like a pig pen around there. It will definitely be my last visit there.
Worst sonic I’ve been to. Pushed the red button waited 10 minutes. Then when I told her give me one second so I could ask my husband what size he wanted, she undid the order and I had to press the button again and wait another 7 minutes. And when I was about to say my order she yells she can’t hear me. She didn’t even give me 5 seconds to breathe in to say anything. Goodness. I’ve been waiting 15 minutes so far for the food ... Update. They didn’t bring out my all of the drinks . And put the wrongs in the wrong sizes. So we pressed the red button again. Another 10 minutes go by and no service. If you have time to kill. Come here because you’ll be here for hours
I’m writing this while still sitting in one of the sonic stalls...I ordered a large mozzarella and medium water 40min ago. I’ve watched about 10 cars that pulled up after me get their significantly larger orders and leave. I’ve politely pressed the red button and asked where my order is twice to only hear that it’s on its way. Very disappointed won’t be coming back
You would hope someone reads these reviews and tries to correct the issues. Seeing how thereis so many alike I doubt that is happening. I absolutely hate coming here, my boyfriend loves it. The wait is ridiculous 10 minutes to order and 30-40 minutes to get your food. What is going on and why is this place still under the same management. I will never go here again, my boyfriend can suffer the wait.
I meannnnnn, can we expect much out of Sonic other than a nice drink on a 300° hot Texas day? I will say the bathrooms have resembled something you'd walk into while attending "House of Terror" since somewhere around 1995. Get those thighs ready ladies. Nobody should need a review to tell them this food his horrible for your body. It also taste like straight two decade old oil. Choose wisely friends, choose wisely.
Another Sonic location that has gone down the drain. I ordered a large drink, that’s it.. they aren’t busy.. and I’ve already been waiting for almost 10 minutes!!! It’s a drink.. it just makes me wonder who inside is actually working? Obviously.. No one at the moment. If I hadn’t already paid for it, I would just drive away. I now know not to go to this location again.
I don’t often leave bad reviews, because I know everyone has “off” days. We’ve lived a few minutes from the location for almost 4 years and have literally never had a good experience. On any give day, numerous stalls are out of service. They take forever just to take your order (we are talking upwards of 10 minutes several times-and I’ve left numerous times without ever having an order taken). If they do manage to take your order, they’re likely out of SOMETHING, and then it may be another 20-30 minutes for your “fast food” to arrive. In the off chance you’ve made it to the point of actually receiving your food, odds are good something is messed up. We’ve given them dozens of opportunities and finally started blaming ourselves for giving them “one more shot” over and over. We love Sonic, particularly the drinks, but it’s not worth the hassle anymore.
Order my food at around 7PM. Said I was at location in stall 22 at roughly 7:10 pm and didn’t find out until about 7:50 pm that my food had been given to someone else. How difficult is it to bring food to a numbered stall? If I wanted to go out and eat for an hour I would have gone and sit down at a restaurant and not had my kid in the car for an hour waiting on food. Manager came out and all he said is that he remembers this order and that he would go make it. Well I hope you would go make the food that was sent to the wrong car....this is unacceptable! This is a fast food chain it shouldn’t take more than an hour to get food ESPECIALLY when ordered online....left at 8:10pm. Got home and food was mediocre at best. Looked like the chili cheese tots had been nuked and burgers were dry. Pathetic excuse for a restaurant.
Very unprofessional staff. I’m a Doordash driver and the Doordash app CLEARLY STATES not to go inside to pickup orders. I waited in a stall AS DIRECTED for well over twenty minutes, after checking in on the order box and letting them know why I was there. When I finally went in to claim the order, the food was cold. I called back to the start to ask about changing the pick Up policy THAT THE RESTAURANT PROVIDES on the app, and was met with rudeness from Leeann( ?) who repeatedly stated that Sonic employees get tips from orders and since food delivery drivers don’t tip then nobody runs the food out. Ridiculous policy and very unprofessional staff.
I have been coming once a week with my dog as a treat for the both of us. Today the food was disgusting. Microwaved everything. I asked for the burger a certain way and they reassembled another burger that already had mayo on it. Really let down this week and will not come back. I don't want to escalate anything or a refund; I just want other people to know my experience so they won't waste their time.
Avoid using the app! Used the app to order 2 milkshakes only to arrive and be told they didn’t have ice cream. And in order to get a refund we would have to call a corporate number. Why didn’t the app tell me the ice cream was not available and why do I need to call for a refund. When asking the employee for help, we were told to just look it up as he didn’t know the process. Extremely unprofessional and rude.
I've only been to this location twice but both visits resulted in negative experiences, with the 1st being the absolute worst Sonic visit to date. (Out of all my Sonic visits over the past 50 yrs.) From wait time to food....this Sonic is the worst. I don't know how/why the food tastes so different from any other Sonic, but it does. I thought after the 1st visit it may have just been a fluke or perhaps it was me/my taste buds were "off" that day. However, we experienced the same thing this visit. Not only that, the portion sizes seemed very small. I love(d) the popcorn chicken when I ordered it at various Sonics in Austin. It was absolutely disgusting at this Sonic, AND it was way overcooked. Dry, hard, small pieces, bland. There was nothing good about it. The peach "tea" was practically clear and had no taste whatsoever. It was more like colored water. SLIGHTLY colored that is...Had we eaten there, I would have said something but unfortunately we had taken it to go. Customer service is non-existent as well. I do not plan on returning to this location....ever again.
I ordered mozzarella sticks from this sonic, instead of getting what I ordered I was given a pretzel. I called to ask if there was a way we can fix it and the employee on the phone just hung up on me instead of listening. Im not one to usually complain, but the customer service here sucks. I used to work at a sonic and we always made sure the costumer was happy, and if we messed up on something we did what we could to fix it.
This location has gone downhill. Wrong orders. Poor service. Update: My wife was hungry. I wanted ice cream. We decided to give them another try. Pulled into a empty stall. The speaker didn’t work. Pulled into another stall. Pushed the button. Waited. Waited. Waiting. Six cars at the drive in. Seven minutes later got a response. I order her food. I order my ice cream. “ Sorry, we don’t have ice cream. Our machine is broken.” We canceled our order and drove six miles to Dairy Queen. The order was correct and quick. I like Sonic. I wish this one was good. I would settle for okay. This location is neither. We won’t be back.
Went early morning while on the way to work. Overall place was clean and the staff was professional and polite.. Went back again for lunch recently. Ordered chicken tenders. Gravy half full and watery. Made a stop here few minutes ago. 12/15 at about 1020pm. Ordered food no issue. Seen the screen say Mackenzie bring my food. Five minutes later still no food. Will be disputing my credit card transaction since no food was served. Best advice... the general manager of this place needs fired. Overall I will say sh*t service... either close or fire the management asap. Taking my business and money elsewhere.
We arrived at the location at 9:15pm and pressed the red button fairly quickly as we knew what we wanted. When we arrived there were only 3 other cars and there were only 2 young men who seemed to be rushing orders so we assumed they were short staffed. We waited for 15 minutes with no greeting at all and watched the other cars drive off until we were the only one left. But when another car arrived 2 stalls over the were immediately greeted and had their order taken. It seemed there were online/third party orders as well and I understand one can get pretty busy, but when we are sitting in the very first stall with no greeting, no “hey give us one moment because we’re swamped”, and not even a look over at us, that just drove us away. And that’s not even considering that the next person came in and immediately got helped. A waste of time and all we wanted were two small sonic blasts.
3 times out of 10 you get what you ordered the way you ordered it. The other 7 times they just throw stuff in a bag and send it out. I had three different people bring out 6 different orders none of which were mine and I was still waiting for my simple order of mozzarella sticks that they ended up having me re-order because I’m pretty sure they gave it to somebody else just like they tried giving somebody else’s orders to me.
Didn't even order. I pressed the button and waited 7 minutes and they never came on and took my order. I could have understood if it was busy but there were less than 10 other cars there. I've been to several Sonic locations that were busier and didn't ever wait longer than 2 minutes for them to even take my order.
Overall wish I could give 0/10 stars. Idk who on the team is consistently rude, but definitely telling everyone I know to avoid this location. Almost every time I have tried this location I get distracted service, extreme wait times at dead hours, and very off putting or rude interactions from employees. Management needs to do something about how poor the employee to customer service is and also; how weirdly homophobic this location is? I’ve had very strange comments about gender and pronouns made towards me and other customers unprompted. Extremely strange and should be a cause for concern to management.
Pulled up to one of the stalls to order, pressed the button and a girl answered just to be interrupted and talked over the intercom by a male coworker attempting to take my order while they giggled on the intercom. She took my order afterwards, but didn’t give me the correct total, undercharged me $10 and said the order was $16. the order never showed up on screen which made me realize they didnt even bother placing it, which explains why when I left after waiting 10minutes for an order that didn’t exist and placing the same exact order at a different sonic it rung up to $25.
My wife went to pick up a mobile order on 11/29/25 around 8:30pm and had a bad interaction with an employee. I dont want to assume gender, so to describe the person: long hair with feminine face, mustache and masculine voice, somewhat heavyset build. The employee sarcastically berated my wife for the tip, which was "keep the change". Whoever this was shouldn't be allowed to have customer interactions or work in the food industry.
Quite possibly the slowest sonic in existence. Every time, consistently slow. It’d be one thing if it was slow and you get hot fresh stuff, nope, still slow and lukewarm every time
Good for late night snack but workers lazy and rude. Messed up order and got annoyed when we tried to get them to fix it still didn’t give us part of our order in the end. Claimed they couldn’t give us toast pretty sure dude was just too lazy to get some he seemed annoyed he had to go get us the fries he forgot to give us with our meal. No matter how many time we repeated what we wanted and how slow we said it he couldn’t seem to hear us and get it right. I usually have sympathy for people who work in these industries but to just be plain lazy and rude is just a person with bad work ethic.
Ordered at the car hop window in person as well as through Uber Eats and I don’t remember one time them including a spoon for the Shakes. You can’t drink it with a straw. Sometimes they include a straw, the other half of the time there is nothing, never do they include napkins. What a joke. This is a consistent issue at most Sonics in the North Austin area for whatever reason. Truly poor management and owners not doing their job properly.
Waited 30 mins for our 3 drinks and 1 kids meal. Saw her walk out with it, looked at us and turned around and went back in. They never answered the red button. This isn’t the first time something like this has happened. NEVER COMING BACK it’s not worth it
They kept having me repeat my order because they couldn't hear me over the music they have playing outside. I requested extra mayo on my sandwich and instead I got a burger drenched in mayo. I also requested sauce's paid for them and didn't receive with my order then when I asked for more she acted like she didn't want to go back inside to get the sauce. Then another person came out to deliver something to the car next to me then she proceeded to smoke her vape on her way back in the restaurant. Very unprofessional. I asked for a slush with my daughter's kids meal but said she couldn't figure out how to add it so was forced to choose a pop to drink instead of the slush. My other daughter got the chicken tender meal which were the tiniest chicken tenders and her tots came only half way filled. This was a very unpleasant experience.
Just ordered a medium chili cheese tots and small mozzarella sticks going though the drive thru the young lady was super rude the general manager then came and handed us the food I’m sure with out looking I did glance over at the order just to make sure everything was there go home to give the food to my pregnant wife to see cheese tots with very little chili will not be back
On October 7th 2023 my family and I ordered three meals. The chicken dinner box which was completely dry and burn, a double cheeseburger which was soggy and nasty, chili cheese tater tots which were soggy, covered in old grease, and falling out of the box. We are so disappointed in their food service ESPECIALLY WITH HOW MUCH THEY CHARGE YOU. ZERO STARS
I didn’t realize there drink prices went up, because it showed on the menu $3.09. I order a large drink for 3.09. When it came to pay it around $4.50. I question the car hopper she said well maybe cause there’s more than one flavor that’s why it cost that much. When I looked at my drink coming on my way home since we don’t have a sonic in jarrell. It says half price drink on the app. She could’ve mentioned that. I was disappointed about her response and her service.
