Had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! Harry was an excellent host, very welcoming, attentive, and friendly throughout the evening. I tried the ravioli, which was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The tiramisu was absolutely delicious, light and creamy. The mojito was refreshing and well-balanced. Overall, a fantastic dining experience.
Lovely food and atmosphere. Brilliant service as well. We had the pleasure of having Roberta as our waitress and she was very smiley and joyful throughout our evening which added an extra sense of warmth to our first experience here. Will come again for definite.
My husband and I had a meal at Gino D'Acampo for our 4th wedding anniversary and it was a lovely experience. We were served by Meg and she was attentive and helpful. Delicious food, fantastic atmosphere and there was the thoughtful touch of a complimentary tiramisu for our anniversary. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back!
A lovely Italian restaurant in the heart of Leeds. After a previous visit that didn’t quite meet expectations, we were genuinely impressed by the staff’s warm welcome and clear effort to make things right. They were very friendly and attentive. This time, every course—from the starters through to the desserts—was beautifully executed. Good food, presentation was on point! It's clear they take both their food and customer feedback seriously. We’ll definitely be returning.
We were staying in the Marriott Hotel and didn't have a reservation in the restaurant. The staff were very accomodating and we were offered a table to which we were very grateful as it was a busy Saturday evening. The atmosphere is very relaxing and cosy. Meg our server was excellent, very attentive and knowledge about the menu. The food is very reasonably priced, the portion sizes are good and everything was delicious. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Leeds.
We came here for the 50% off food deal. Was quiet at the start and then picked up as our meal progressed. The bruschetta was a very light and quick bite, and you cant go wrong with the truffle fries. Paolo was friendly and was working super hard making sure we were alright and with all the other tables he had, assuming some of them were hotel guests too. Very relaxing environment on a tuesday night. Thank you :)))
Stopped by for breakfast here and the food was great. Continental style with pastries, meats and cheeses as well as cereal and cooked breakfast items. Good selection of drinks both hot and cold with the coffee being very nice. Served by a nice young man named Matt who sorted us out with made to order items (fried and poached eggs and vegetarian sausages). Giada also checked on us to see if everything was going good as well as clearing away used plates and such. Overall great experience and would definitely come back!
Absolutely faultless experience, great customer service, and high quality food. From the moment we entered up to when we left it was everything spot on as you’d expect from a higher end venue like this. Staff was very presentable dressed, and the restaurant was nicely decorated. Food was fresh, hot, tasty. Good range of drinks and food available with a decent wine list as well. Well priced for the experience.
We visited this restaurant to celebrate my mum’s 52nd birthday, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The place itself looked absolutely stunning — beautifully decorated, warm, and inviting from the moment we walked in. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive; they were always nearby when we needed something, without ever feeling intrusive. What made the night even more special was how they treated my mum on her birthday. They put so much thought and care into making her feel celebrated, and for that I’m genuinely grateful. It turned a simple dinner into a memory we’ll keep for a long time. The food was outstanding — every dish was full of flavour and perfectly prepared. The drinks were just as impressive, well-made and delicious. It’s rare to find a place that gets both the atmosphere and the food this right. I would recommend this restaurant to absolutely everyone, whether you’re celebrating something special or just want a great meal. We’ll definitely be visiting again!
A beautiful Italian restaurant in the Heart of Leeds. I was very impressed with the design of this place, very classy and stunning looks. The staff impressed me a lot, a nice welcome, very professional, and made a clear effort to make things right. As my mum wanted to order a cocktail, there was a missing ingredient in it so she couldn't get that but on the house, the staff offered us some shots which was very nice of them. The staff was friendly and attentive too. The food and drinks were beautiful presented and tasted very nice. With the atmosphere, I have no words to describe it as the look of this place gives it away! It's clear that what they do it exceptional and out standing. I definitely recommend coming here and I will definitely be coming back! 😍
Very quick and friendly service! Enzo was a star and made us feel very welcome and we didn’t ever need to flag him down he was always aware of us and made sure we had a great time. The food was fab and well portioned. Would definitely come again and try the lunch menu as we came in the evening for tea.
Fantastic breakfast linked to Leeds Marriott. This is our best Marriott breakfast by a long shot. Super choice and quality but the standout is the staff. Matthew remembered our eggs choice and was lovely and Madi and eunice are dream team making sure everything is perfect! Thank you David and Alison
Food & Service was everything I had hoped for. The staff very welcoming, professional. Our waiter was a wonderful young man named Finzi, his knowledge was wonderful & his recommendations where perfect 👌🍝🍸 We are visiting from Belfast with American family, we appreciated the calm atmosphere also the fact the service staff did not rush us or hover around, this means so much as I don't enjoy being crowded over. I will definitely be back if ever back in Leeds.
Gorgeous place. Harry was a lovely cheaky chap and make the experience all the more enjoyable. FOOD AMAZING. Im going to roll out of here.
We were on holiday and visit from Italyand had very good service from Roberta and Kevin. The pizza was delicious I felt like in Italy.
Absolutely loved our meet up at Gino's after having to cancel Christmas due to that horrible virus. Lovely welcome at the door...great friendly service and wonderful food...oh, and not forgetting the wine 🍷...fabulous unrushed meal with friends. Highly recommend Gino's if you haven't been yet .
Nice evening, Enzo was really nice and made us feel welcome. Food was also spot on, we’ve been coming to Gino’s for many years and it never disappoints
Service was really good, staff very attentive, Food was amazing, overall great night.
Had a great anniversary date today here! The food was incredibly fast and the waiters were very attentive, especially Aleks. We got a Margherita pizza to share between two people and it was plenty of food and was perfectly cooked. It came piping hot and within ten minutes of us ordering. Will be coming back again soon!
Gino’s is always a great experience. The staff are always super attentive and knowledgeable about allergies and the menu. Fresh pasta and ingredients make it a special night. Big thanks to my new Argentine friend, Mateo, for taking care of us!
Had a really fab lunch went to celebrate a birthday and they brought out an added surprise of a chocolate cheesecake with a candle service was ace and friendly would highly recommend.
Harry was very friendly and attentive throughout our visit. He made sure everything was perfect and always served with a smile. Excellent service!
The pasta was absolutely delicious, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The ambiance of the place is cozy and inviting, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. A special mention to Enzo, he was incredibly welcoming and friendly, and truly made the experience memorable. Excellent food, great atmosphere, and outstanding service. Highly recommended! 😊
We had a fantastic experience at Gino D’Acampo’s Italian restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious — full of authentic Italian flavour, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care and quality ingredients. A special thank you to our waiter Enzo, who was warm, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome from start to finish. His service really added to the experience. And compliments to Chef Alessandro — the dishes were outstanding and truly memorable. You can taste the passion and skill in every bite. Overall, an amazing meal with great service and atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended!
The food was amazing! The serving sizes matched the prices and the taste was incredible. Wide variety of food. Our server, Enzo N welcomed us amazingly and ensured we had the best experience. 10/10 would return !
I was in Leeds for two weeks due to a business trip and stayed at the Marriott where the restaurant is located. After a long day at work, I found myself here several times for dinner. The food is AMAZING! Fresh, flavorful, filling, and FABULOUS! I can't say enough about Harry, who was my waiter for most of my dinners here. He remembered my name, what I had ordered, and his recommendations for drinks and food were always spot on. He is so nice and welcoming...made me smile and feel like I was at home. Stop in for a wonderful meal...and ask for Harry!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic Service and Delicious Food! He was friendly, attentive and genuinely went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect for us. The food was absolutely delicious — full of flavour, beautifully presented and served in great time. Harry’s recommendations were spot-on, and his warm, professional approach really elevated the whole visit. If you’re looking for amazing Italian food paired with brilliant service, definitely visit Gino D’Acampo Leeds — and ask for Harry!
Stopped in for lunch today without a booking and were warmly welcomed! The lady on the door was very accommodating, asked about allergies, and even took our coats to the cloakroom. Our waiter, Harry, was fantastic!!!! very helpful with the menu and gave great recommendations for both food and drinks. Later in the meal, Harry mentioned that the hostess, Leah is his sister, and you can absolutely tell! They both had such a great attitude and were incredibly attentive throughout. Highly recommend
Had my work Christmas meal here and the food was fantastic. The portion sizes were great with tons of flavour and honestly we all had a fantastic time. The staff were really friendly and had a great atmosphere. I need to mention the manager Giuseppe who was really understanding with our booking situation, and was always friendly and professional. We'd 100% definitely be going back
The place is amazing and the food was delicious! I had some starters and a pizza. the escalopes were also good. The service as well was very pleasant as we had Enzo who assisted us throughout our dinner! Will definitely come back again!
Excellent experience at the restaurant. The food was amazing, I really enjoyed the scaloppine. And the service was great. The waiter Enzo made sure I and the people I was with felt comfortable and at ease. Very funny as well. Will definitely come back again!
Service was absolutely excellent Harry did a wonderful job. Looked after us all night. Being a manger in hotel myself I understand that it has been exceptional service from all. Wine knowledge from himself was brilliant, he was very friendly and had our best interests at heart. Felt very warm and welcomed whilst in the restaurant. Lovely atmosphere and great people. Food itself was wonderful and worth the money and was delicious. I could tell it had all been cooked fresh and would definitely come back again.
shame i have to give it 4 stars as the food was delicious, however we felt incredibly pressured by our rude waiter who kept asking us if we wanted starters or sides with our meal when we had already told him we only wanted the main. he seemed shocked and kept trying to get us to purchase more food however me and my partner don’t eat much and were already ordering the most expensive steak on the menu. really terrible service, and it was also slow. we never did get water for the table after asking twice. our waiter also served the people next to us before he served us, when we had been waiting for longer. he kept coming to our table and touching it like he was going to serve us, and then swerving away which was really strange and disruptive to our experience. onto the food: the 900g sharing steak was delicious, perfectly cooked with a flavourful crust. it was served with roast potatoes and chips - i don’t like roast potatoes but these potatoes changed my mind forever, they were incredible. the red wine sauce that came with our steak was the best red wine sauce ever!! i could literally drink it!! our waiter cut our steak at the table which was a nice experience. cocktails were nice. i noticed the restaurant doesn’t have proper steak knives - this was okay as our steak was tender enough to be cut like butter however it could be improved. if the service improved, we would come back. however i have never been treated like this at a high end restaurant such as this one, which made us super uncomfortable for the rest of our meal. i would expect better service for the prices we paid.
First visit and I was curious to see if it would live up to the expectations. Unfortunately, it didn’t. I had the Prosciutto di Parma e Melone and the Pollo Ripieno. The food wasn’t bad, but it was quite bland and lacked imagination. Service was good and the restaurant itself looks great, but I wouldn’t go back for the food.
We came in for an early Sunday dinner without a reservation. The restaurant itself is spacious, with a pleasant atmosphere and friendly waiting staff. However, I felt the food was overpriced for what it was. We ordered a risotto and ravioli. As I had chosen the ravioli, I asked whether the dish was made on site. The manager who served us explained that it wasn’t prepared in-house but was made for them elsewhere, adding that I shouldn’t worry as “it’s not from Tesco.” Maybe funny but since I am a foodie and interested in where my food comes from I felt dismissed. When my dish arrived—Pumpkin & ricotta ravioli with fried sage leaves, crushed hazelnuts, pecorino, and black pepper—it looked rather underwhelming. Only semi-crisp sage leaves were present, which meant just one of the three garnishes listed on the menu. Given that the ravioli wasn’t freshly made on site but simply boiled and plated, this felt like a significant oversight, especially at £19.50 plus service charge. I asked for the missing garnishes to be added, and the waitress, following the manager’s instruction, took my plate back to the kitchen. Unfortunately, it returned with only hazelnuts added—still no pecorino or black pepper. By this point, my partner was halfway through his meal, so I decided to continue with mine. I would have expected the manager to come over, apologise, and perhaps offer a reduction on the bill or a complimentary gesture, particularly as the restaurant was running Black Friday deals. Instead, nothing was offered, and I left feeling disappointed with Gino experience.
Service was good. Portions are big. And the 50% off January sale, it's got to be good, oh dear, I so want to say try it, but I can't. The tiramisu was good to very good. The Bolognese okay to good. But the tempura king prawns starter was less tempura than over salty fish and chip batter, heavy, fatty and an off putting start. If you go out to eat, food has to be better than good, a good few steps better than a quality ready meal from M&s or Waitrose and it wasn't it. I think there are better options in Leeds especially if you are faced with the full price. It's is possible different menu options would be great, but £40+ for 3 course, no alcohol for 1 person @ full price for okay, no.
My wife son and girfriend booked in august special treat before Leeds utd match food 2 caesar salad 1 pizza v good I ordered seafood ilngine disgusting ordered garlic bread wit cheese never came told waiter after main course garlic bread wit tomato!!! GINO stick to false TV shows or sort your kitche in your name .I work in 4 star hotel
The food was lovely, but we didn't quite feel looked after, nor were the wait staff all that attentive. On the other had, the January deal for 50% off food was excellent value. Note: Service charges are added to the bill, but they are centrally collected and distributed, apparently equally, across all branches.
The restaurant’s decor is beautiful. I ordered the Bolognese, which tasted good. But I don't know how I feel about the service. While taking my order, the waiter abruptly told me to wait and started serving another table. The same thing happened with the bill; despite asking first, I was left waiting while the table next to me received theirs immediately, so I had to ask again. It was quite a frustrating experience.
Sunday evening visit - no atmosphere, almost empty. The staff were lovely and very professional, but both my chosen starter and main were not available (busy night on Saturday and sold out) My tuna was overcooked and very dry. Such a shame as we were really looking forward to the meal.
Extremely Disappointing Experience This was our first time dining here, and sadly it will be our last. We booked our table weeks in advance and travelled over an hour from Doncaster, so we were really looking forward to the evening. Unfortunately, it was dreadful from start to finish. We ordered pâté for a starter, only to be told it was unavailable. For mains, I chose meatballs, one of the main reasons for picking an Italian restaurant, and again the waitress returned to say they were out of stock. I ended up ordering a pizza instead, which is something you can get anywhere. When the pizza arrived, it had no cheese on it and had to be sent back. I then had to wait for a replacement while my partner ate his meal alone. I also ordered a mocktail, which arrived containing alcohol, despite the fact I cannot drink alcohol at all due to allergies. There was very little apology, and we were still charged for the replacement drink. My husband’s burger was raw in the middle and bloody. We showed this to the waitress when the plates were cleared and explained why it was only half eaten, but nothing was done about it and nothing was offered. For dessert, I ordered the crème bruschetta, and yet again the waitress returned to say it was out of stock, the third time this happened during our meal. The lack of available menu items, the mistakes with food and drinks, including a serious allergy issue, and the overall poor service made for a terrible evening. Although we were given 20% off the bill as a goodwill gesture, this was effectively swallowed up by the service charge, making it feel rather pointless. Overall, extremely shocking service and a very disappointing experience.
We visited this restaurant at 7:15 pm on a Tuesday evening Although the maitre d' was very cordial, our waiter was not. Francesco was his name and he did not understand our order even though we were pointing to the menu item. He wanted me to order the large Caesar even though I wanted the side salad. He said it was too small. In fact, when the salad came, it was just fine and not small at all. The Caesar was good.My husband ordered the Caprese Salad which came with no Balsamic vinegar. I ordered the Pollo Marinato and it was horrible. The chicken was pounded so thin and cooked within an inch of its life. The bechamel was delicious and had the chicken been tender, it would have been very good. My husband ordered the Fettuccini Bolognese and he thought it lacked flavored. I tasted it and had order envy because at least it was better than mine. Our waiter never did come to ask about our meals. He was very stand-offish and I saw another table talking about his service after he scoffed at them for asking for a spoon. As far as atmosphere goes, the seats were stained and it was dusty and tired looking. I was not impressed at all and would definitely not recommend.
Went at 7pm on Sunday evening for my partners birthday and we left frustrated and disappointed. Our server was argumentative and rude to the point where I didn’t even know what to say and we couldn’t ask about allergies and intolerances. On arrival we mentioned my partner had a nut allergy and I can’t have citrus due to medication. We ordered drinks and since most of the cocktails/gins etc contain lemon/lime/grapefruit ect. I asked if there was anyway a cocktail could be made without any, If it can’t no problem I will just have a coke. Being a bartender on the weekends myself I didn’t think asking not to add 12.5ml of lemon in a passion fruit martini would be that difficult. I got told to pick something else, no, it’s no good and that I’m not looking at the menu properly. They ended up making it but it was resentful. I felt like the server was practically shouting at me and not letting me get a word in even thought I repeatedly said it’s fine I’ll have a coke. It created an awful atmosphere. Then we went to order mains and we was told there was no large options of any steaks unless we wanted to pay £85+. The server repeated himself 3 times telling my partner to pick the more expensive option and was being overly pushy to the point where again he was raising his voice. We tried to explain we were fine to just have the smaller steaks. He didn’t come and ask us if we would like any more drinks. I mentioned it was my partners birthday 3 times! And nothing was offered to be done. We sat with our finished plates after the main for 25 minutes in front of us and had to ask twice for the dessert menu and by that point we just wanted to leave. My partner asked for the bill 4 times!! to which was still never given to us (waited 30 mins and it wasn’t busy). I had to go up to the entrance desk and ask to pay. Both tables either side of us were given theirs before and then we’re were given limoncello after what I had said about citrus! I was told not to go here by about 6 other people before booking and I wish I hadn’t.
