It's hard to think where to begin with a review for these guys. The Mac is amazing, super cheesy, and creamy. Their "hot dogs" which are really just massive sausages are delicious and served with SO much Mac on top. Their food looks amazing not only in pictures, but also in person. Every. Single. Time. If you haven't been to Happy Motoring to try their official brick and mortar location, then you need to find out where their trucks are going to be and visit them. They are usually found at Deep Brewing company every Sunday from 2-8pm to make the magical pairing of beer and Mac&cheese happen. They've been open since 2017 and have been named the Best Food Truck by Tallahassee voters. If I haven't convinced you to go try them by now, you must hate good food.

This is my favorite place to eat Mac and Cheese and pretty much ANY KIND of pasta 🤍 So good, now that finals are coming up, if you want a quiet place to study and eat some GREAT food I would recommend going here! ☺️

The food is great here, I had the Gouda Mac with Ribs, and the staff is very friendly and sweet. My food was prepared and out to me within 5 minutes which I loved. The atmosphere is chill and friendly, when you look around everyone had a smile on their face. The prices are fair considering you're getting a lot of bang for your buck. After my meal, I was full for the rest of the day. I would most definitely recommend this establishment, 10/10, fantastic!

Amazing sausage covered in mac and cheese and dice jalapenos. One of the best things I have ever eaten. This is my 3rd time here and it never disappoints. I love their creations. Also the buffalo chicken mac and cheese is a great dish as well. Large portions you do not leave hungry.

As a mac and cheese lover, I used to absolutely love this place and was so excited to have it in Tallahassee. I’d been to their brick-and-mortar location at Happy Motoring, as well as when they started out as a food truck. I found myself on FSU campus, so I was excited to try it out, especially the Tikka Masala bites featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. I ordered the “What’s the Dilly” and the Tikka Masala bite combo. I was disappointed by the lack of flavor of both items, and had to add salt and my own sauce. The mac tasted vaguely of dill, but was overall flavorless. It felt like there was quite a bit missing from the Tikka Masala bites as well, as I could hardly taste the spices, jackfruit kofta, or even the Cheeto crust. I will say that the consistency and texture of both items were great. I understand that this is an on-campus location, but the quality of mac and cheese was more like generic bar food, rather than a restaurant that specializes in mac and cheese. I will say however that the food was very reasonably priced, the service was extremely quick, and the seating area was great.

I hate to give local spots anything but 5 stars. It's hard to run a business, especially a lunch place, and the last thing these proprietors need are local guides giving them bad ratings. The sole reason I am giving the Mac Shack 4-stars instead of my usual 5 is because of $$. The crew of young staff were friendly enough and my 'Fire Station Dalmation' lunch was hefty and tasty. As pleasant as all that was, my lunch bill broke down like this: $12 for lunch, another $2 for a can of coke, plus tax, plus tip. It was the first $20 lunch I have had in years which means it will be a few years before I forget all this and return to the Mac Shack for some comfort food schtick. The portions were good and tasty enough, it just wasn't a $20 lunch. (Also, what's with no kids menu? The Mac Shack is missing its key demographic.)

I added garlic butter and there was so much it was like an added cm of butter above the actual food. Tasted terrible. I appreciate the large servings but think about what you're making. Also, there are no menus, you can't scan a menu, and while you order the display of the menu constantly changes so good luck remembering what you want. Everyone just sits there awkwardly while waiting for the menu to flash back as you get another 10 seconds to order.

I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone. The food was not good. If I were to rate it, a 2 out of 10. The noodles were undercooked. The cheese did not give top notch cheese. It tasted like velveeta cheese. I got the snortin nortin. The flavors combined gave it a bland bbq velveeta flavor. On the other hand, The lady who took our order was very sweet and generous.

If you’re looking for watery noodles, and no flavor this is a place for you. It was my first time trying it, and my hopes were really high for it to be at least tasteful. It tasted like water and bowl chicken with a watery alfredo sauce, bon appétit.
