Went to Delhi 6 – Fremont with my family and had a really satisfying meal. We ordered the Murg Shahi — Rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced without being too heavy. The Goat Curry was also good — tender meat and full of authentic flavor. Paired it with garlic naan and butter naan which were fresh, soft, and perfect for the gravies. Great comfort-style North Indian food and a nice family dinner spot. Will definitely be coming back!
Delhi 6, located on Argonaut Way in Fremont and formerly known as Nawabs Kitchen, is a solid destination for anyone looking for excellent Indian food in a comfortable setting. The restaurant delivers on flavor and quality, with dishes that feel well-prepared, balanced, and consistently satisfying. Whether you’re visiting for a casual dinner or a relaxed family meal, Delhi 6 offers a dependable and enjoyable dining experience. The ambience is one of its strong points. The dining area is clean, spacious, and welcoming, making it a pleasant place to sit and enjoy a meal rather than rushing through it. Service is attentive without being intrusive, which adds to the overall ease of dining here. The standout dishes are clearly the malai tikka, biryani, and kofta. The malai tikka is rich, tender, and perfectly grilled, with a creamy marinade that enhances the flavor without overpowering it. The biryani is aromatic and well-spiced, with fragrant rice and generous portions of protein. The kofta is equally impressive—soft, flavorful, and paired with a well-balanced gravy that complements it beautifully. Another practical advantage is the plenty of parking available, making visits hassle-free. Overall, Delhi 6 successfully builds on its legacy as Nawabs Kitchen and is well worth a visit for quality food, good ambience, and reliable execution.
This is a clean and cozy Indian restaurant that has taken over the previous Nawab Kitchen. The Amritsari Dal Makhni combo (as many have said) is delicious and creamy. And when I praised the taste, the lady server gave me more dal to taste! Good and polite service that makes your dining experience very good! The chai is also nice and hot!
This is my go-to comfort food spot. I’ve been here many times and almost always end up ordering from here after coming back from a trip. If I can’t decide where to eat, this is my default choice. Must-try dishes: Amritsari Kulcha Chana and Chicken Malai Tikka for appetizers. For mains, the Prawns Masala, butter chicken with Garlic Naan is excellent, and both the Chicken Biryani and Mutton Biryani are consistently good. Special mention to the Daal Makhani: it’s so rich and flavorful that you can enjoy it on its own without needing naan or rice. Friendly, welcoming staff and great service. Always a satisfying experience.
Food was amazing! I ordered the Tandoori Fish as an appetizer, great flavor and perfectly cooked. The Garlic Naan is the best I’ve had in the area, and the Delhi Dabha Chicken is absolutely worth it, no words, definitely order. The Butter Chicken was delicious too. I highly recommend this place. Not sure why the reviews are bad, the chef is amazing
The food was absolutely delicious! The preparation felt authentic — just like something straight from Amritsar. We ordered Dal Makhani, Amritsari Kulcha, Chana Masala, and Chicken Rara — all of them were flavorful and perfectly cooked. The fresh tandoori breads complemented the dishes beautifully. The service was also polite and quick, unlike some restaurants where the servers can be cold. Overall, a wonderful dining experience! Didnt click many pictures, got busy relishing food 😌
Very Good Restaurant with authentic north Indian Cuisine. Delicious😋. Staff is very polite and service is also very good. 5 out of 5.
Thankfully the food wasn't bland. We requested while ordering for spicy food and got what we expected (something we ask for at every restaurant we have eaten so far). We ordered Mutton Biryani and Goat Curry. The curry was well cooked, the meat tender and tasted delicious. I would also like to point out that the portion/serve size is excellent for the price. Though this place is not swanky - it is well maintained, clean and tidy. The service is excellent and attentive. The only sore point is that the kitchen staff talk loudly and can be heard all the while even if one is sitting near the entrance door!
Quiet, quick service, and super flavorful food. Great for vegetarian and non vegetarian good. Ambience is amazing and would highly recommend.

Update on Catering as well as recent visit to Delhi 6 We ordered Multiple dishes and special mention is for Butter Chicken where all the guests it was out of this world. Some of them even confirmed that the Butter chicken in better than Amber (SFO) or Rooh. It is worth mentioning that the butter chicken at Delhi6 is priced 50% level as compared to Amber/Rooh. Other excellent dishes were Kadhai Paneer, Dal Makhni, Garlic Naan Our today's visit included Dal Makhni, Chole Kulche and they were amazing. They server authentic North Indian Food with Dal Makhni cooked in Ghee and served with white butter. Writing this review after multiple visits to "The Nawab's Kitchen". Most of our visits were on weekday/ evenings and we found the restaurant to have many open tables and thus no waiting!!!. We have now tried Mushroom Mutter (Dhingri Matar- Some places it is also referred as Khumb matar) and it was finger licking delicious. Our experience with Amritsari Dal Makhni w/ Laccha Paratha was amazing as well - The dish comes with steel Katori full of Dal Makhni. I have tasted Dal Makhni all over India and this Dal meets the best. The Laccha paratha was soft, well cooked and plain yummy. They normally give Gulab Jamun with this, but the sweet young server named Armaan requested us to try Kheer, which he said is prepared just now. Right on- The kheer was Excellent!!!. Not very sweet, appropriately viscous and downright delicious. So far everything that we have tried is excellent- Kulcha with Chana, Samosa Chat, Masala E Nimbu, Sweet Lassi, Masala Tea. We did not try any non veg food as we both are vegetarians, but we did pick some Chicken dishes for our son and they were great.
I tried takeout from here on a rainy weekend. I had the aloo tikki chat and the soya chap. Both were so well made . The tikkis were crispy and the chat was very well spiced . The sweet and little hotness from the spicy chutneys was really good. The soya chap was done well as well. The chaap stir fried with the veggies and the sort of indo Chinese food was good. Will definitely be back to try more stuff
Delhi 6 in Fremont is one of those places that instantly brings comfort and nostalgia with every visit. The flavors are deeply authentic and remind me of classic Delhi-style food done right. No matter the occasion—whether it’s a quick casual meal, a family gathering, or a celebration—this place always delivers. My absolute favorites are the paneer biryani and malai kofta. The paneer biryani is fragrant, perfectly spiced, and incredibly satisfying, while the malai kofta is rich, creamy, and full of flavor without being overwhelming. You can really tell that care goes into every dish. What makes Delhi 6 special is the consistency. The food quality, taste, and overall experience remain excellent every single time. It’s a reliable go-to when you’re craving comforting, flavorful Indian food that feels both familiar and special. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for authentic Indian cuisine in Fremont—it never disappoints.
This restaurant has some of the best Indian food in the Fremont area. The environment and seating are very clean and welcoming. You can truly taste the soul they put into every dish. I strongly recommend their Tandoori Fish and Amritsari Kulcha!”
Loved the food and the service. Try amritsari kulcha .I loved their garlic naan and Kadai Paneer ,kadahi chicken especially. Food was fresh and served quickly. Ver good staff specifically jyoti and raman. Highly recommend this place.
It is rare to find a place with authentic Punjabi food. Most places just serve up some generic tandoori or Mughlai food. It was fun to discover Delhi 6. I loved the Fish Pakora and Saunf Paneer Tikka. Such a rare find, and so delicious. The Dahi Bhalla with all the chutneys and channa was amazing! Staff were friendly and compmetely accomodating of our special requests. Thank you Delhi 6!
I thoroughly enjoyed the food at Delhi 6. The flavors were distinct and truly authentic to the cuisine. The veg kofta curry was delicious, with a perfect balance of softness and flavor. It’s very rare to find good naan, but the naan and laccha paratha here were unparalleled compared to other restaurants around. I would highly recommend this restaurant for both its food and hospitality.

Amazing customer service! Clean food and excellent quality, my family loves their delicious chole bhature! I wish I could give them more stars for how well they treat their customers! Thank you Delhi 6!!
The best indian food I’ve ever had in US. It felt literally like home. I’ve had dal makhni, laccha parantha, Amritsar kulcha, aalo tikki chat, soya malaiMalawi and everything was amazing.

Nice staff, quick service and food was great quality. I had the Chicken Tikka Masala and a side of rice (it doesn't come with rice) and it was delicious. The portion is worth the price in my opinion.

Update: Name changed from Nawab's kitchen to Delhi6. Food and taste felt better, peas pulav or Jeera rice is now made with paneer, went amazingly with malai kofta. ————— Small place, got quick service on a weekday dinner. Harabhara kebab was disappointing, it was like green paste. Dal makhani is more on the creemier side, and jeera rice with peas was good. Malai kofta was ghee-ish but tasted good, lacha paratha was nothing special. Butter naan was slightly over burnt. A bit overpriced for what you get, both portio and taste.

The Newabs Lamb Biryani was excellent, good portion of Lamb and properly spiced. The Naan was very good. The Butter Chicken was good. The Lamb Tikka Masala was fair, and the meat was tough. The Vegetable Pakora was poor, it wasn't fully cooked, doughy,it was not crispy, and soggy. Waitress was excellent and attentive.
Visited Delhi 6 and tried the paneer tikka tandoori, makhani dal, and lachha paratha. The paneer tikka wasn’t that great and felt a bit underwhelming compared to expectations. However, the lachha paratha was extremely fresh and flaky, and the makhani dal was rich, flavorful, and comforting. Overall, a mixed experience, but the dal and paratha definitely stood out.

A friend and I stopped by here on Sat for a lunch and ordered 2 dishes with Naan and Rice. The chicken stew dish was watery but it was flavorful. The rice was a bit dry and did not have a lot of scent or much of a flavor. The service is quick and friendly but I am not sure the food was compelling enough to justify a return visit.
Update 2024: To me, the food quality has been in decline or unstable for many months now. I used to love this place and used to refer people often. Recently I took the chicken tikka and was utterly surprised to see that i paid 14.99 for those dry pieces of chicken boti kabab(check photos)!!! 2023 review: I usually like the food here. But nowadays mostly vegetarian. I keep getting disappointed with their non veg food in the last few years. I have been visiting here for many years now. The non veg was excellent when i used to visit this place at least 5-6 years back. I used to love their kababs and their awadhi biryani. But off late their non veg has been consistently average or below average in taste. Recently we had kulcha with chana .. it was so good with extra butter running all over the place. My wife and I Iove the vegetarian malai kofta. It's juicy, greasy, tasty and yummy with naan or roti. Daal makhni was great. So was the paneer gravy in red(forgot the name). The chicken malai Tikka or the chooza e shahi used to be great years back. Nowadays it's always either dry or not tasty. The chicken do pyaza was not that great either. I have stopped ordering the awadhi biryani anymore. I used to love it initially. Slowly the taste deteriorated and didn't feel like trying it anymore. They also serve Yakhni pulao. But i am not recommending it. I have tried it too in the past. Its like a bunch of thick gravy on top of a bed of rice. That's not how yakhni pulav is supposed to look or taste like. But overall i like to come back to this restaurant, may be once in many months for a change of taste. I used to visit this one or take out food multiple times in a month, years back. Due to deterioration of their flavor i have reduced my frequency here.

Food is horrible. Please avoid this place and save yourself some time and money. Ordered 1 dahi batata puri, gobi manchuri. The dahi batata puri was just ready made squeezed sweet yogurt of some sort with some frozen alu inside, it was $10. Gobi manchuri was nothing but tomato ketchup over fried cauliflower. Overall 1 out of 10 on food. And even Chai was over dosed with masala.
