The best authentic yucatan style mexican food in town. This place is a hidden gem. The salbutes or the boxito burrito are something you don't see in any other mexican joint around. The sauce is amazing. I love the refried beans. Kim and her mom are the best. They treat all locals like family
Steak Picada my choice today as usual absolutely delicious. Came with Salad guacamole chips salsa and tortillas. Everything fresh! Right now lovely outside seating in the back if you choose to dine out.
We love Alfredo's!! Been coming here since I was young.. my dad's been a regular for 20 years. Family owned and run... friendly employees and local favorite. We even went here after our civil ceremony wedding. We knew we'd get good food and a family-feel environment. Highly recommend Alfredo's!!
Great place to eat. Can't believe I only live 2 blocks away and have never been here. Amazing food. Only complaint is the price for 2 people to eat was over $50
My bf & I pickt up my oldest Daughter & Went to eat Dinner here! She knows all the Staff as they know her! They we're very friendly & The Food was Great!
Friendly service and good food. What more can you ask for? I always get some sort of burrito wet, and my wife has tried variety of other items, and we have never been disappointed
I returned to Alfredo's with my kids to give them another chance at their service. This time the food and the service was amazing.! All the ingredients for fresh warm like they had just been prepared when I go to a Mexican restaurant that's what I liked feel like I'm eating mom's cooking and this time they hit a homerun! Congratulations Alfredo's
Staff very nice; food selection and quality very good. The best salsa and quac.
I've been coming here for years. Good food, friendly service, great prices. They have the best chips and salsa in town too. Comfort food for me.
The people were friendly and the service was timely. I saw an item on the sign at the front that I had never tried before so I ordered it. Conchinitas. It was a pork dish with sides of black beans and rice that was very good.
Love Alfredo's been going for over 25 years. Number 32 wet is the family favorite, plus there are many other favorites. Family owned restaurant. Plenty of parking in back.
Great food and Great service they treat every one like family here.
I can't believe I've lived in the area my whole life and am just now realizing how great this place is
Good place to come if you're of latino descent and feel far from home or if you're not to experienced with latin food. Great food for a good price. Great to experiment with new food from Southern Mexico, Oaxaca , where they are know for lots of Aztec, Zapoteco, and Mixteco, along with other indigenous peoples, delicious delicacies.
The food here is so good! Everything I've tried so far has been most excellent! The family that owns it and the staff are very attentive and super nice!
Good selection of Mexican and Yucatan style food. Also some dinner breakfast food. Great chips and salsa. Very nice people that work and own this place. In business over 36 years. Excellent selection of food. Eat there, it might be your new favorite.
I love this restaurant. The food is delicious and authentic. The ladies who work here are very friendly and courteous. The restaurant is clean, organized and lovely. There are wild tomatoes growing along the perimeter of the property. So quaint and beautiful. I have been coming here for a long time. Highly recommended.
Excellent place for great Mexican food. I have been coming here for quite sometime for the Chicharones Jalisco plate. This meal is so delicious and tasty. It's so spicy that you shed tears of pain and pleasure. The customer service is super friendly. The premises are clean. The environment is welcoming. There's always plenty of seating. You can eat alone, with a large group of friends or even have a business meeting while enjoying your lunch. Highly recommend. 5STARS!
Amazing food just bursting with flavors and textures you never experienced. I recommend you ordering the Cochinita Pibil Tacos they're absolutely delicious and have the most tender flavorful spiced pork cooked in banana leaves and served on a crispy corn cake topped with lettuce, pickled onions and fresh sliced avocado. I also ordered the menudo and it came with warm tortillas and fresh cilantro and minced onions and lemon. The servings were big but everything was absolutely delicious and the service was friendly and efficient. Five stars for everything and I'm definitely going back because they have the most amazing flavors for all of their dishes as well as authentic Mexican ingredients used in their food that you can undeniably taste in every bite.
Authentic Yucatan food. The #1 rated for over 40 years. Parking free ♿️ spaces. Located 1st floor easy entrance for walkers and wheelchair. Breakfast, lunch dinner homemade soups dine in or order via phone.
I've been going here for 10+ years. The food is fantastic and the service couldn't be friendlier. The chips and salsa are the best. Love their specials and burritos. One of my favorite neighborhood spots.
I have been a customer of Alfredo's for over 30 years, when they started on PCH near Western. The food has always been good. Servi e is great and atmosphere is friendly
This is a small, simple restaurant. However, the food is really good. The employees are helpful, professional and courteous. You can dine in, as they have a few booths. You can also order take out. They also have the outside grill going on the weekends in the summer months.
Alfredo's makes a big deal of the burrito boxito invented there and found nowhere else. You may not know it yet, but you want one. I've never had a bad meal there and I regularly drag visiting friends and family to eat thwre.
This place never disappoints. I had the boxxito burrito which comes with shredded pork and the black sauce over it. Not spicy at all and a real value for the large serving and price. It's a very popular dish.
I have been eating here for over 25 years. It's always the same great tasting authentic Mexican food I've ever had. Mamacita is a shining star and face of the restaurant. I can't say how much I love eating here at Alfredos. I will be a customer till death do us part.
I've been coming here since middle school many, many years ago. It's great tasting food, and the family that runs this place is amazing.
Family owned neighborhood restaurant. Perfect for some traditional favorites. We had a generous cup of chicken soup as well as a shared chicken burrito. Prices are reasonable.
Excellent, authentic Mexican food!
Great food and service. Em spent time describing the different dishes & brought me samples to taste. I will be going there again!👍More than enough to satisfy my hunger.
"Alfredo's is a great choice! This family-owned restaurant has been a Lomita staple. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the food is delicious, with a wide variety of traditional Mexican dishes. The service is prompt and attentive, and the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. Alfredo's is ideal for a casual meal."
My family and I were in the area. Per my daughter the Menudo was really good, Per my Husband the Pachuco Omelette was delicious, for me the green chilaquiles were great. The owner was really nice and we were treated like family. Support small business they offer service that big corporations don't.
I'm glad I finally gave this place a try! I usually have my favorite Mexican spots I go to but wanna try since it's always full of customers. For a small place it sure does seat a lot of people. I was quickly greeted and was able to order. Menudo and Chile verde burrito were delicious. Order came out super quick! Great authentic Mexican food! 👍
My grandson got his first job at Alfredo's I am so proud of him and happy that this restaurant hires the youth that live in their community. We stopped by to say hello to my grandson and get a bite to eat. We were so satisfied with our food. It was AMAZING! I recommend their posole it was hot tasty and authentic.
Long time fans of Alfredo's. Their Boxitos burrito you cannot get anywhere else. Fabulous! Cannot say enough about their overall quality and selections. They always have amazing special dishes every day. Is such a good establishment that the wife has picked Alfredo's for anniversary dinners!
My wife and I enjoy henjoy the food very much. There service is good , The staff is prompt and polite. The food is served very quickly fresh and hot. They're Chile Verde burrito and Albondiges soup, Are my favorites. My wife enjoys the Tacos and Enchiladas. They also have ice cold beer served with an ice cold glass, right from the freezer. Some of the best Mexican food around. I highly recommend them to anyone.
Large menu and large portions for reasonable prices. Friendly service and food comes out quickly. Check out their chili relleno burrito - delicioso!
Live walking distance to here. Last visit there was less than welcoming (by maybe female owner?) Went back today because we love supporting family restaurants. Well Damn that French Toast!! And Stephanie our host was amazing! Go...definitely for the french toast. Posole is delicious. Flan is delicious. It's good. Prices are good.
My father originally found this restaurant on PCH when they first opened when I was in my teens and been going there with my family ever since I am now 53 excellent food wonderful service. You will be missed Alfredo. Rest in peace, to Maria and the kids continued success. Thank you for being there and making my life better with excellent food.
One of the Best family owned restaurants we been going to for more than 20 years now. The food is great! The staff is great! Atmosphere is chill! Highly recommended 👌 100/100
Oh. My. Goodness. I dream of the food from this amazing family restaurant. Their chips and salsa are perfect, their black burrito is heaven on a plate, and don't shy away from trying their nachos or fundido as a starter. Their food is made with much care and the staff is so friendly. The food will keep you coming back for more. So good.
Great service and absolutely amazing food. The pork tamales were the best I've ever had. Plenty of parking and lots of room to sit and eat.
I really love the old-fashioned vibe of Alfredo's. The portions are generous and the staffs are extremely friendly. The free salsa is amongst the best tasting salsas I have ever tried in my life. Overall, it is a terrific Mexican restaurant with a very rich history and a great selection of foods for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
If you’re looking for that authentic taste and flavor, Come Here ! This is the second time back for me and still hits just the same as the first which was BOMB! The frijoles were a liiiiiittle salty today but they are on top of it !:) super friendly environment and they even have an outdoor patio area in the back! Enjoy!
Plenty of seating, great parking, 👍 really good food, Do it.
Love this place. Others made bad comments about the waiters but they are hard workers and handle business. Patients is required when it's get busy but the food is excellent and so are the workers. Great place to eat. Took my family and friends and it did not disappoint.
Have not been here since the beginning of pandemic. Was craving their delicious chicken enchiladas and they are fabulous!! I love this place for dine-in also. Clean, friendly and food has always been good!
We got there just before the rush, and everything was great. I was surprised by how many people came in on a Sunday. It was completely packed, and people walking in for pick up, too. We have come in for years and enjoyed their food we esp love their beans and rice.❤️
First time here and was happy with my experience. I couldn't decide on a burrito, so I ordered the burrito trio to try all 3. My favorite sauce of the three was the green one, however all of them brought their own distinct flavors. The meats in the burritos were also decent, but the red one was a little on the dry side. I also enjoyed the drink, nothing too special, but I liked all the seasoning on it. Overall, good service, good experience.
Food, service, atmosphere & parking lot = EXCELLENT AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT. the portions are tasty & plentiful, you can't go wrong. Plenty of space to park, relaxed atmosphere & screen tv's to catch your fav sporting event. When in the area, stop by. You'll become a regular.
I see this restaurant every time I commute home from work and my wife heard about it on Facebook. We decided to come here and try their food. It lived up to the talk and suggestions from many online. We arrived just as it was getting busy and our host gave us a warm welcome. Asked us to sit anywhere and we chose a booth by the windows. We had their chips and salsa which was homemade, got a bowl of their signature menudo, machaca and egg breakfast with refried beans and rice. Also had 2 of their Conchinita Pibil tacos. Everything was delicious and authentic in flavor. The restaurant was clean, organized, and excellent service. We'll be coming back for more items on their menu.
Had this Mexican restaurant on my saved list for a while and was craving a burrito so finally checked it out on a rainy day since i was in the Lomita area. Lots of parking in the back of restaurant, walked in and was greeted warmly by the waitress also. Ordered their specialty, the Boxito Burrito with the sides and was not dissapointed. Smoky flavor, very unique and filling. Chips and salsa was adequate, the lady was courteous to ask if i needed more salsa too. 5 stars, recommend this place 🤙🤙
My family has been coming here for for brunch for years. They are cute family owned joint that has delicious food, served with pride by Maria. The recipes are unique to the location and too many tasty selections to highlight just one. Each meals is always prepared using the highest quality ingredients, which u really taste with each bite. Come hungry and expect to leave too full to really function. Highly recommend coming here for a perfect mexian meal.
Couldn't have been better. The Staff was all in. Helping each other. Our waitress was perfect. The food was so hot and fresh. Excellent Yucatecan restaurant to eat at.
Had an absolutely amazing dinner. Enchiladas were on point, had just cheese because they are so amazingly tasty! The carne asada tostada was huge and so tasty. My daughter had a burrito and at first thought it looked small but it was extremely filling and couldn't finish it. Deceiving one might say! But if I could give more stars I would! The service was excellent as always. They always make sure you have what you need without pestering you. And one must remember they are the "Original Alfredos"!!
Phenomenal! Soo soo authentic and delicious! They even gave us free rice pudding which was amazing too! The cochinita pibil was so tasty!
I found Alfredo's pretty much by accident: a very happy accident. I'll put it this way: this place alone is worth the 45 minute drive from where I live in LA to Lomita Eat the boxito sauce!
We were on mile 2.8 of a 4 mile walk and stopped by to eat dinner! Good choice to do so. Big servings and decent price. :-)
An absolutely stellar local spot. Strong contender for the best chips and salsa in town. Never had a meal or bad dish it's all excellent. Bring your family and friends and try one of everything. Friendly staff, clean restaurant, and speedy service.

We ordered over the phone for a chicken enchilada and a beef taco and two enchiladas suizas with rice and beans and flan for dessert. When I arrived for pick up 20 minutes later, all items were at the proper temperature. We were given chips and salsa, but the chips were stale and the tortilla on the beef taco was overcooked and chewy. We will go to Alfredo's again and hope that the chips are fresher next time.
Good Mexican food at a reasonable price. They have some outdoor seating for those who are uncomfortable inside. Portions are large ( too much for me) and service is friendly
We were at a birthday gathering, the restaurant is small and cozy. Our group seemed to overwhelm the location, however the servers did a wonderful job, food was good and great parking.
It's all about the food .. if you like Mexican style plates in a no frills spot
Great place for authenticity, it’s been around for quite awhile and they have stayed true to their values of food and customer service. They have regulars that they know and make them feel at home with a nice warm smile. Food taste good and servings are hearty!
Our go-to Mexican place. Excellent food in a down to earth atmosphere. All of the Classic items - tacos, burritos, carne asada, chili verde , etc. And some regional specialties: I had a burrito boxíto (probably misspelled) that started off good then stepped up to excellent when I came to large chunks of a very flavorful meat. So, come here and try something different
Went in there the other day for an early dinner. There was only one waitress and three tables. But as I sat there waiting for my order and eating and everything they just kept coming in. I was amazed at how well the waitress did all by herself she kept up with every table and there was a lot of people every booth and table in the front part of the restaurant was full and one table in the back part of the restaurant. She did very good. And then just before I was getting ready to leave another waitress came in to help her out. But the first waitress was very good and very friendly and just an all-around nice person.
Food is really good. The menu is extensive and there are many choices to choose from. I love the authentic Yucatan food menu. It has different spices and is favorable The boxito burrito pull pork is my favorite.. .
Food was fine. Obviously a family restaurant and at times it was quite slow to get drinks, check, etc. I probably would have ordered 2 more beers but I could never get the waitress's attention. Oh well, their loss.
I enjoyed their menudo. The nachos were homemade and freshly made. The other things we ordered, and quesadillas were good, too!
First time to Alfredo's. The atmosphere was goid very busy. The servers were very courteous, accommodating and friendly.

My mom reserved a section of the restaurant for a private party almost 3 months ago. Kim was very accommodating but when we arrived, her mom was not so much. She was rude and spoke in spanish no realizing that I understood. They continuted to seat people in our area know our party was starting at 3pm. At 3:30pm the last group of customers left and they told us that we need to hurry up and be out of there by 5pm because they had another group reservation. During this time they were setting up, in our space, once again for the party after us. My mom had to clear our plates from the tables when we were done eating because they didn't. The food is great as always but poor management when it comes to large parties. If they can not accommodate, they shouldn't offer the service.
5 starts for the 2 lady's 0 starts for the chef We were having problems with our order, server apologized, let us know the owner is out and the chef is taking over for the week. My husband ordered menudo, and the chef served him pasole with tripe. I was still looking and ordered 7 min later after my husband's order came. I ordered pasole with menudo juice, he said they don't do that and implyed he served me caldo with menudo juice. When I got my order it was just menudo, thats then we realized his order was wrong too. He messed up everything and told us we were wrong.. he was yelling at the girls when they did everything right & took our order perfectly. It was an absolute mess, we had to walk out. I will only come in when owner is there, they honor my special request, serve us the right thing, we are happy comming in & happy comming out, and we don't have to go back and forth with cook. We love this place, we will be back, just not at a time like this.
I had really high hopes for this place, specially after reading some of these reviews and their menu. I made sure we came here hungry. Maybe we ordered the wrong items. Maybe something changed within the operation of the restaurant. Whatever it is, it seems like its glory days are something of the past. The machaca con huevos was super bland. It lacked flavor. I hav to add lots of salt just to get it to taste well. Same thing with the chilaquiles. The flavor was missing both spice and salt. The carnitas tasted alright. Nothing extraordinary about them. We decided to skip on dessert because I definitely didn’t want to get disappointed over bland flan. I guess the items we enjoyed the most were the beers, the chips and the salsa from the beginning.
Taste bad meat smell bad not fresh no green sauce no red sauce rice over cooked no seasoning and the lady at counter she look angry not welcoming at all wont order again
There were many errors in our service which affected the atmosphere and left me and our family having second thoughts about returning. Disappointed with the relative of the owner, who listened to my complaints but no compensation or relief was offered.

Our waitress was horrible! She was not welcoming at all. No smile on her face, no nice words NOTHING nice about her at all. She kept cutting us off when we were ordering and made me feel rushec and i changed one thing on my order(while i was ordering) and she acted like it annoyed her!! Just horrible experience for my Mothers Day!!!!!😡
One waitress and 10-15 tables. 10 minutes later, a very nice server took our order. We got the food cooked in a timely manner. When brought to the table. The presentation was one, kinda small for the price, dry tortilla looking Carne asada burrito on a plate. And mine was a wet Carne burrito. It looked good. But both had the worst tasting and chewy Carne I've encountered. So for 40 bucks we both had about 4 bites apiece of our burrito and a couple of good chips and left never to go back.
Bought $110.00 6ft burrito chicken and beef it was cold and barely any chicken or beef. Salsa was enough for two people. The salad was just lettuce and when I asked for sour cream, which usually came with it, I was charged $7.50 for what I could have bought at the grocery store for $3.00. Then the owner and waitress talked in Spanish making fun of me! Not knowing that I understood everything that they said! My company has been using Alfedos for 10 years. No more!
The owner was very rude to us had a bad attitude and ugly demeanor Then conveniently didn’t put my order in and then blamed the cook when we told her Horrible experience
Came here on a sunday morning for breakfast. Our family had the chilaquiles with steak, chile relleno, enchiladas swizas and a bean burrito. Tasted more like a tex-mex type of place. I was expecting more authentic mexican flavor. None of us finished our food as we were not satisfied with the overall flavor of our dishes. Customer service was not great either, didnt see our waitress mich after our food was served. The food did come out super fast. Guessing by the taste, i would assume that most of the food is already pre cooked and ready to serve, which is why it was brought out really fast.
I called in my order around 6:30pm and was told by the woman on the phone our order would be ready in 30 minutes. It was busy, so I waited in the parking lot and gave an employee my name so they knew I was waiting outside. I waited for about an hour and a half, until I went inside to ask how much longer the wait would be and was told by the same employee that they lost our order/never placed it with the kitchen. . I'm sure the food is fine, but I will never come back here to try it. I would not recommend ever trying to order here when they are busy. The inside was super disorganized.
This place has really gone downhill. The owner is a very nice person but she does not realize she has people working for her that are extremely rude and not customer friendly. I won't bother to go into my experience but I definitely will not be going back here with my family. So sad. Used to be a really fun place to go to but like I said they have a waitress. There is extremely rude. I tried to call the owner to explain my unhappiness but this employee ran interference with the phone call and never gave the honor my message.
This was one of the worst experiences I had to start my day off. The food was disgusting didn't even wanna finish it. Orange juice was nasty too. The coffee tasted like it was just water. The tortillas my husband asked for were stale and store bought to top it off. I knew this place had gone down hill but I thought they fixed the issues, they didn't. I'll never eat there again!!!!!!
Every time my wife and I visit SoCal, we make it a point to eat here. All of our prior experiences were awesome (though dated, we hadn't eaten there in 4 years). Our service was so-so, but my steak fajitas were darn near inedible. The steak was too salty (probably the marinating). What really chapped my hide, though, was the pompous attitude of our server. We got the bill, and we paid cash. However, the server didn't ask if we wanted change back (which we did) and never returned our cash to us, instead ASSUMING it was a tip, and she kept it all. For these reasons (inedible food and thief server), I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU AVOID THIS PLACE. TACO BELL OR DEL TACO HAS BETTER SERVICE.
It was Monday we went. The rice was dry, taco shell was not crispy and the shredded feef was not fresh. The waitress was not friendly, bad service. Won’t have my business again.
Never ever ever again. Tonight we were treated with total disrespect. There was absolutely no reason for her to treat us especially us in that horrible way. We have always had a pleasant time there, spoken quite a bit to her and never ever complained about the food or service. We willll never forget how she and her staff treated us with disrespect and rudeness. We kept going there to help support them during covid, the place was empty and we were there supporting them. We walked in and were totally ignored, she didn't even say hello or welcome, NOTHING. We cannot let this pass as it was so out of character for her, now the old man had no business plopping down our utensils and my wife's drink in front of me knowing full well I did not order anything to drink not even water. The Oldman dropped some chips n salsa in front of me rudely then scampered off. We will ever ever recommend the original alfredos on narbonne ever again. If I can I will delete all other posts and ck ins. When I went to leave and pay for the cold chips and a drink .y wide ordered I mentioned I have never been so insulted and treated so poorly as theyvhad done to me. They did t even apologize or eve ask why I was unhappy. That's when I said we will NEVER EVER be back.
DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION! They have ROACHES and the staff or Manger doesn't care. I went into have lunch and as I sat down there was a HUGE roach walking on the window ledge. Instead of making a scene I told the waitress. Who in return said sorry let me kill it. Wth! I should have left. Noooo because I like the food, stayed. I know!!! Do you know there was no discount on my food! No nothing. I called and email the owner and still have not heard back. Never again.
Had high hopes for this place due to the reviews however was deeply disappointed. Their food is not authentic or flavorful. I feel like this is American Mexican food. I would not come here again or recommend friends to this place. We had the enchiladas suizas, carne asada and sopes.

On a rainy day, when there is no body at the restaurant, the older lady did not want to charge me for the drink and just kept on talking on the phone. I politely mentioned, I have to rush because I was on my lunch break. She just ignored. I was the only customer in there by the way.
