I celebrated my leaving party at Cecconi’s at The Ned London, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. A special thank you to Mourad, who truly made the evening unforgettable and absolutely perfect. He was incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming from the very beginning. His positive energy and warm personality created the perfect atmosphere for such a special occasion. He made us feel comfortable, well looked after, and genuinely cared for throughout the whole night. Mourad went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly, and thanks to him, the celebration felt even more meaningful and joyful. He is a real asset to the restaurant, and I’m so grateful he was there to make my leaving party so special. Thank you again for an amazing evening — it was truly fantastic!
Wonderful afternoon at Cecconi's Feast, their version of the wildly successful Ned Feast that's been drawing in crowds on the other side of the room. An array of food, from salads and charcuterie to a full roast and lobster, weigh down the bar. Pizza and pasta is available to order. And a wonderful dessert table full of brownies, jelly beans, panna cotta and tiramisu. At £100 a head (£165 to include unlimited champagne) it's not cheap, and firmly falls into the "special occasion" category. But it's a gorgeous setting, the food is fantastic and the service excellent.
This place is really something special! We didn't have a reservation, simply walked in, and they accommodated the 3 of us for a late lunch. The service is impeccable, the food is absolutely divine, and you really do feel quite special when you come to The Ned. It was my first time visiting but it certainly won't be the last! Thanks for a memorable birthday lunch!
Love this restaurant. The staff are super professional and on point. The setting is beautiful (it's a former bank, now hotel). The food is excellent. I ate vegetarian options, my guest ate meat and fish. Save room for the desserts. It's usually full of city works having an expense account lunch. I went with my financial advisor and he paid so that was good for me!! It's pricey but worth it for good food and a special occasion. I wrote a review for my blog so am sharing some of those pictures with you.
Cecconi’s at The Ned feels like stepping onto the set of an old Hollywood film — everything from the leather booths to the live band adds to that timeless atmosphere. You’re not just here for dinner; you’re part of the scene. The food? Impeccable. The veal Milanese is perfectly crisp, the lobster spaghetti rich but not heavy, and the tiramisu is the kind of dessert that quietly reminds you why classics stay classic. It’s the details that set Cecconi’s apart — service is smooth, never intrusive. Even the bathrooms reflect the same understated luxury, from the marble finishes to the signature Ned hand cream that leaves your hands softer than when you walked in. The live band rounds it all off — subtle, jazzy, and effortlessly cool — making you feel like you’ve wandered into a movie. A perfect balance of comfort, convenience, and class. Highly recommend.
Had a fantastic dinner at Cecconi’s with a friend (6:30pm reservation). Our server, Andres G., was absolutely wonderful — warm, attentive, and professional. He really made the whole evening feel special. The service was flawless and the food was delicious. Big thanks to Andres for making our experience so enjoyable. Highly recommend!
We came here yesterday for a hen do and were not disappointed. The venue, atmosphere, food and drinks were excellent and it was a lovely afternoon lunch. The food specifically was literally outstanding. I had the beef tartare, pumpkin risotto and finished of with tiramisu and oh my gosh, it was unreal. The drinks were lovely also - we tried some of their champagne and a couple cocktails and they were wonderful, particularly the Old Fashioned. The service was good too as was the atmosphere. The inside of the hotel was amazing and so full of character, plus the live music in the centre was incredible. I would definitely recommend a visit! :)
All you can eat buffet. Inc lobster oysters longustines, roast dinner, fresh ordered pizza and pastas. The unlimited amount of puddings and cheese is just too much for your eyes and belly.Exceptional food . The live band was an absolute joy to listen to. The whole experience was wonderful.
We had an absolutely tremendous evening at this restaurant within the restaurant and bar playground that is the Ned. The ambience and venue needs no introduction and the restaurant maintained the same high class but relaxed look and feel. The service was fast, attentive and even when I had to chase up my second cocktail they felt bad about the wait so took it off the bill after bringing it! Wow! The food choice was fantastic with a great selection of Italian favourites cooked to perfection (only small feedback would be for the lobster spaghetti to be a touch more salty) but aside from that we had a thoroughly good time and the bill was very reasonable. Come here for a casual evening or something special, it fits the bill for all occasions.
We were served today by Emilia.J. The service was amazing. Our table was continuously cleared and set with fresh cutlery. The food was fresh and the options were really great. We were two adults and two children. Our children loved the selections and enjoyed the fine dining! We will definitely be coming back.I would definitely suggest going for the brunch.
Had the Sunday feast all you can eat buffet. Very pricy but fantastic atmosphere at the Ned and very good food and service. Lobsters, oysters and roast dinners are available plus you can request pasta and pizza from the wait staff. There is also a live band playing music. A good experience overall.
This restaurant serves delicious Italian dishes! The atmosphere is enchanting, and I can’t wait to return for a mesmerizing late-night jazz program. If you’re looking to treat yourself, this is the perfect spot! Imagine indulging in a soothing massage followed by a delightful lunch that will tantalize your taste buds. I highly recommend this experience—it’s pure bliss!
Lovely lunch at Cecconi’s, ideally located in The Ned. The service was impeccable and attentive throughout. The food was very good overall : the steak tartare wasn’t a standout, but the salmon was excellent. A lovely spot for a relaxed meal in a beautiful setting with very attentive service. Highly recommended.
As always the feast at Cecconi’s never lets you down. Amazing food and service with outstanding ambience. Ronaldo and Katarina were amazing and so was the rest of the team. Ronaldo has looked after us many times and he is a credit to cecconi’s and the Ned, please pass on our thanks. Thank you everyone.
My family had a great time @ Cecconi. I had Dover sole with brown better. It was delicious and deboned. All the good we ordered were good & appetizing. Our waiter Ryan was friendly and very helpful. Excellent service. We’ll be back again.
Dined here because I was unable to book a table for Ned’s Feast on the opposite side on 3/12. Cecconi’s is slightly different from Ned Feast, having bottemless pasta and pizza to order from the table. Lobsters, oysters and sunday roast are also available and a glass of processco is included. Lobsters are very fresh and meaty but the oysters are on the thinner side. There was a huge variety of desserts and cheese on the other side and I do recommend having the Tiramisu at the end to wrap up the huge meal. Overall, the bill is on the pricey side and there is less variety of hot food available when compared to buffets in Asia. However, I cannot complain too much as there was limited hotel restaurants hosting buffets in London . I would say it still worths a visit if you have a large stomach and a seafood lover.
Our food came out relatively quickly and was fresh and flavorful. Cocktails were excellent. There was a live band and many guests were dancing. The ambiance was warm and cozy.
We are back home in Sydney now – the end of our 2 month holiday in Europe – but before we left London last Tuesday, we celebrated with a late lunch at one of our London faves Cecconi’s, in the beautiful Ned Hotel. If you haven’t been I highly recommend it as one of the most beautiful establishments around - from start to finish, around every corner, there is yet more to adore. Restaurants, cafes, bars… I will write a separate review about The Ned. We’ve eaten here several times - the food always consistently good. The staff less so unfortunately, though I should say, there is a pecking order of levels here, from basic servers to more senior waiters - this time we were lucky & our waiter was a dream - he dealt wonderfully with all my nitty gritty questions, knew all the answers and helped me so much, with no attitude whatsoever. He welcomed & in fact encouraged my questions, which is extremely rare! Wayne had a delicious Chardonnay - Cervaro Chardonnay, Castello della Sala, Umbria, which at £19 per glass you’d hope so! My non-alcoholic Punchy was perfect. We shared 2 entrees which were delicious - the Vitello Tonnato is one of the best. Very generous serve – tender & the sauce just right. Our mains were superb as well - my pasta was cooked al dente & the cheese was so refined. Personally I think a thinner pasta works better to soak up more sauce but it was delicious all the same. Wayne’s Veal was so tender & tasty. Rarely can we fit in dessert - how do people do it!
Had a wonderful early dinner with my family. The Ned is a superb place to visit. Cecconi’s didn’t disappoint , lovely wait staff and great good. Having the live band playing in the Ned was a great addition to the experience.
Italian 🇮🇹 food heaven in the heart of the city! ⭐️ + Fantastic menu with exquisite food. It was hard to choose dishes so many were great. + Staff were friendly and had a sense of humour making the visit feel a relaxed and special affair. + The beef carpaccio was delicate and light. With the lobster 🦞 linguini being phenomenal. Loads of lobster pieces with most of the work done for you which helped a lot. Super tasty. + Dessert 🧁 🍨 was like being in Italy! The tiramisu (as you can see from the photos) was unreal and so tasty. - Little bit difficult to find as there are 9 restaurants. - Very very busy but you’d expect that from such a great place, and the staff made it not feel busy. Great place to come and a little gem 💎 considering it’s in such a huge place. Good for lunches and a special occasion.
Came here for breakfast and got the prosciutto, eggs, and burrata dish which was topped with some freshly sliced truffle. It was very good and very filling! The eggs were fluffy and perfectly cooked. It was not crowded but busy in the morning. The ambience and service were great. Would recommend this spot!
Came for the Sunday brunch, and it was absolutely delicious. Their pastas are really delicious, we particularly liked the cacio e Pepe. The spread is incredible, and they’re very flexible with the options.
The atmosphere of this place is amazing. The building which the restaurant is in is beautiful and when we came here for a late dinner there was live music which made the vibe of the place even better. The food was really good, especially the pizza tasted amazing. When you have a simple pizza with anchovies and you still cannot forget about it - then you know it was good. The place also does amazing cocktails and in the late hours it definitely have the nice bar vibes.
No As you step into Cecconi’s, the ambiance is elegant yet inviting, with soft lighting and a lively atmosphere. The aroma of Italian cuisine fills the air, whetting your appetite as you’re escorted to your table. As you settle in, Chef Roberto, with his warm smile, personally greets you, ensuring your dining experience is nothing short of extraordinary. 😍🙏🏽
Really beautiful meal with exceptional service provided by Mourad. Looking forward to our next visit. Couldn’t recommend more highly.
This restaurant is very elegant and we had a beautiful Sunday evening here! The live music in the Nickel Bar really added to the atmosphere. Food was delicious and great cocktails. We would definitely recommend a visit, great for a date spot as well!
I visited Cecconi’s Sunday Feast and was extremely excited, especially since you have to book well in advance to secure a table. The setting is beautiful, and the atmosphere was wonderful. A live singer was also present, which added a really special ambience to the experience. We decided to go for the free-flowing champagne option, and our glasses were truly never empty. Ronaldo looked after us in the best possible way, he is an absolute gem and a real asset to Cecconi’s. I sincerely hope the restaurant knows what an enrichment he is. The buffet was presented in the most beautiful way, with everything you could possibly ask for: delicious meats, fresh salads, lobster, seafood, charcuterie, you name it. Quality-wise, it is very hard to complain about anything. The food was always topped up and looked incredibly tasty and appealing throughout. That being said, the two-hour time limit feels quite short for the price. You are paying a lot for the variety and abundance of food, but there is only so much you can enjoy within that timeframe. It makes the experience feel slightly rushed, as you want to make the most of what is offered. Extending it to three hours would make it much more relaxed and enjoyable. I was a little disappointed by the cheese selection. Additionally, since I am not a huge fan of sweet desserts, that part was less exciting for me, though that is purely personal preference and honestly complaining on a very high level. Overall, my highlights were the beautifully presented and delicious food, Ronaldo’s extremely attentive service, and the wonderful atmosphere.
Located in old Midland Bank Headquarters giving an amazing location. Don’t forget to see the old vault in the basement by the toilets. Service was excellent and empathetic. Whilst the live music was very good it made conversation a bit difficult . The food was very good. Be prepared for an expensive bill but worth the experience
Started of with a not so good and overpriced starter of calamari; I’ve had way better calamari for less. Also the attitude of one of the male servers was a bit passive aggressive. Despite that, the main and dessert made up for it, and the other female servers were lovely and patient. I loved the live music and the vibe and atmosphere of the whole place in general.
We went twice for the fest at Cecconi on Sunday. We find it quite tricky to book for table there as the demand is quite high. They charged £90 per pax and it is a buffet setting and comes with a glass of beverage of your preference(Prosecco, champagne, beer) Ambience: I would say the seating area it is clean and nice, live jazz music while you dine, could be abit of noise if you sit nearer to the band. Service: Might need some improvement on the service, we see the waiter walking here and there but they just wouldn’t clean our plates after we finish for rounds. Could be more attentive given the price you charged us is service inclusive. Food: Good selection given that this is in London😂 I mean I wouldn’t have sky high expectation for buffet in London, but I’m quite happy with the selection at Cecconi. The selling point is they offer unlimited lobsters, fresh oyster, prawns and smoked salmon. Taste of the seafood is fresh at least, it’s a eat-all-you-can so I wouldn’t fault it the way it cooks, I am happy as long as it is fresh. The rest is just mediocre dish such as variety of salads, lasagne, hot pastas, pizzas and nice selection of dessert as well. I really do enjoy the pana cotta, tiramisu and profiteroles! Bummer is they don’t offer a free coffee/tea to compliment with your dessert…you have to pay for extra if you want to have a hot drink later. Overall was quite a pleasant meal at Cecconi the Ned! I would recommend my friends and would revisit again(not in next few month as I had way too much lobsters since my last visit😂)
Located at the wonderful historical Bank of England building now called the Ned, the classic Italian restaurant Cecconi’s is one of many excellent dining options and experiences that are worth a visit. The Ned is THE meeting place for the city business people doing deals over lunch or after work…Service was friendly but pretty average with staff missing or get wrong orders but the food was in general very good and being in the space is all part of the dining experience! An easy walk from Bank tube so leave the car at home. Book in advance and avoid peak times…..
Had 8PM reservations at Cecconi’s last night. Restaurant was pretty empty, asked to sit in a corner booth and the hostess said there was a party of three reserving that spot but no one ever came the entire night we were there (we left around closing). Took them a while to come to our table to take our drinks orders. When they did come we ordered espresso martini and a vodka martini. Definitely regretted the espresso intake last night, heart was racing. Two is more than enough. The espresso martini was sooo good we ended up ordering seven of them. The vodka martini was very different compared to what we are used to; not bad but didn’t order again. For our starters we ordered the San Daniele, Gnocco Fritto, Focaccia bread w/ olive oil, Buffalo mozzarella, tomato and basil pizzette, and the Beef Carpaccio. The focaccia bread tasted a bit stale so we ended up telling the waitress and she was kind enough to take it off the bill. The beef carpaccio was good but needed some more dressing, and tasted a bit plain. The pizza was very very tasty. The sauce and mozzarella on top were delicious. But the SAN DANIELE WAS TO DIE FOR. My boyfriend and I were so obsessed we were going to go again for dinner to just order that. It was fried dough almost like zeppolis with thinly sliced prosciutto. SOOOO GOOD!! For our meals we got the Veal Milanese and the Cacio e Pepe. Both tasted amazing. The veal could have been a little thinner and needed salt but when we squeezed extra lemon it tasted good. I asked for the cacio e pepe with less black pepper and they listened. Cooked to perfection and tasted sooo good. The pasta was al dente just how I like it. For dessert we got the Profiteroles, amarena ice cream. Looked so good on Instagram pictures but when we tried it, it wasn’t for us. The ice cream in the middle tasted icy and the profiterole itself was hard. They came to the table and poured hot chocolate sauce all over, very nice but still didn’t help with taste. They were kind enough to also take that off the bill since we both only took one bite. If we are ever in London again we would definitely love to come back. Located inside of the Ned Hotel, has romantic vibes with dimmed lighting and live band. Loved it!
Excellent service and the atmosphere was lovely (Saturday lunch with a jazz band). The food was good but not amazing (sadly the profiteroles were dry).
Nice experience, nice location, great service, nice atmosphere. I tried the Sunday Fest all in all it didn't go badly you can eat without limits, honestly for what I spent I would have gotten a better quality result by ordering à la carte, but rightly you can't have everything in life. Experience to do.
Came for a late dinner after spending a full day outside of London. First of all it’s CRAZY noisy and impossible to hear your waiter or companion because of the live music which frankly is not very good (both the singer/song selection were way off), the bread was really not up to par for an Italian restaurant, and the overall experience was just really OK. Our waiter was really sweet. The lobster pasta was delicious, beef tartare good too. Wouldn’t be rushing back or recommending any friends here
First of all I want to start off by saying that the service, cleanliness and atmosphere is the only reason I gave this place even a 3. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the ambiance was great, their was also a band performing in the middle too. We had a reservation to have late dinner for my cousins birthday. As mains, we ordered: Tonnarelli cacio e pepe, Spaghetti lobster, tomato, chilli and Rigatoni bolognese. Starters we had calamari and Octopus salad, tomatoes, olives, celery. The Rigatoni bolognese came undercooked, so I politely asked if it was supposed to be like that and they said they’ll re-cook it for longer. When my second plate came it was the exact same consistency. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to finish my meal. We bought a personalised cake and they said they had a strict policy for no nuts so we weren’t allowed to take that in. The manager was still very helpful and she sent over a brownie and sang happy birthday for her which was very sweet. Overall I would say the service and atmosphere is great but food is pricey and definitely nothing special. Will not be returning or recommending to anyone else. Parking is difficult in the area, would recommend public transport for those that do go here.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this establishment, and let me tell you, it's like a culinary amusement park. The venue itself is a wonderland, but the service is a bit like playing roulette - sometimes it's a hit, sometimes it's a miss. Now, when it comes to the menu, it's like a gastronomic symphony. You've got your high-end delights and your cozy comfort food all in one place. It's like they want you to experience an epicurean rollercoaster. If you haven't been here yet, you're missing out on a food adventure of epic proportions. The place is massive, with so many nooks and crannies to explore that you'd think you stumbled into a food labyrinth. It's like a treasure hunt for foodies, and they've hidden amazing, high-end bars throughout, just waiting to be discovered. One thing I must commend is the impeccable cleanliness of the toilets. It's a small detail but makes a big difference in the overall experience. Now, let's talk about the soul - not the philosophical kind, but the dish. It was cooked to perfection with crispy, golden bits and succulent, tender flesh. It was so beautiful that I almost felt guilty for devouring it. The drinks? Oh, they were spot on. Perfectly poured, perfectly served. No complaints there. But here's where the story takes a twist. The food ordering experience was a bit hit and miss. It felt like a slow-motion race to get our orders in, and there was a delay that even a sloth would've found frustrating. Maybe they were trying to build suspense? Who knows? All in all, it's a fantastic city venue with an upmarket feel and a great ambiance. I'd say, keep up the good work, but maybe work on the speed of service. This place has all the ingredients for a fantastic dining experience – they just need to mix them a little more efficiently.
A bit disappointed. Our server was great and the food was nice but the person who ran the floor of the restaurant needs some etiquette lessons. She appeared at our table to say we only had about 30 minutes left and we were still eating. Her next appearance was to inform us we had 5 minutes. As we were still drinking our bottle of champagne, a more appropriate statement of “so sorry but we do have another reservation, can we move you to the bar to finish your drinks” would have been nice. Sadly, we did our after dinner cocktail elsewhere.
The atmosphere is luxurious and perfect for a romantic night: cool live music, beautiful backdrop and intimate dining seating. Unfortunately the food is average and not worth the price. There’s much better spots in London for tasty italian food.
Awful. That's the only way to explain our meal here Friday night from start to finish. Everything from the drinks served not in the right glasses to average at best starters and then the most bland and tastless mains I have had this year. I'm a big fan of The Ned and Cecconis in general but alot needs to he changed at this restaurant.
If you're happy to pay £20 for 8.5 squid rings and over double for over-salted pasta, you may love this place. If you're not, you may not. Nice staff though and in a loud, grand and festive building.
The service leaves much to be desired; taking an order felt very complicated. We went to Checconis because we wanted Italian food, but it wasn't at all what we expected. To begin with, the service was anything but welcoming. I also ordered a gluten-free dish—mistakes can happen, but we should be careful with this. I ordered two dishes and paid in advance thinking there wouldn't be a problem, but it was quite the opposite. We at least expected them to offer the refund the service charge we had paid, but when we asked, it took a very long time. I don't recommend this place; the service and food are very bad. I think was a supervisor who served us
We tried the Sunday feast which costs £90per person, with the price tag I expected the food to be a lot better than what it was. Yes the lobsters and oysters are unlimited but the lobsters were SO OVERCOOKED it’s chewy. Hot dishes are generally poor too, pasta is under seasoned, lasagna less than mediocre, Yorkshire pudding is burnt, selection isn’t huge and a lot of them are just salads… desserts were just horrendous, so bad that supermarket desserts can easily beat it. Both me and my partner were just very disappointed. Service is decent but could be more attentive. live music is WAY to loud and not very good, rather listen to Spotify.
Food is extremely bad for what you pay for. I had a lobster spaghetti, it is £36, (1) the sauce is just plain tomato sauce, with no seasoning, no lobster flavour, (2) the spaghetti were all very short, I suspect they split the spaghetti into half when cooking, (3) portion was so small. Service, staff were friendly, but they were busy and it took us a long time to find someone to take our order. Atmosphere, it was an open area, not descent, very noisy. Not a pleasant place to have a nice dinner with this price. Very very upset.
