Amazing food and wonderful dining atmosphere. We got the tiger prawn app and the special that night and they were both fantastic. The homemade pasta and sauces were amazing. The head chef came out and checked on us several times, her food is amazing and she is so sweet as was all the staff. Overall amazing experience and some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had. A must try when in London! They were also very accommodating for our member in a wheelchair. They have a couple tables on the ground floor with the rest being up a flight of stairs. The bathroom was not accessible for a wheelchair as per usual in many buildings in London.

A quaint Italian restaurant, probably family-run. Evey pasta I've tried here has a distinct flavour. They bring out the best taste even with few ingredients, giving an authentic flair. Lovely host, great ambience.

I stayed in London few days with my boyfriend, we are Italian, and we had such a great experience in La Fortuna Restaurant. Elsa and her staff were so welcoming and sweet with us, we had both lunch and dinner many times there because we couldn't get tired of that amazing food! Pasta and pizza were so delicious (I mean, you can see it from the pictures). Thank you so much for being amazing with your guests! I felt right at home!

Great awesome food. Atmosphere lovely and quaint, friendly and helpful staff advising on food and wine. Chef very hospitable and inviting. If you want a evening out with good Italian food then this is the place to come to. Even when I spilt red sauce on my shirt, chef came out and cleaned it off for me so it wouldn't stain. What an awesome chef!

This is definitely one of my favourite Italian restaurants I've ever been too. The chef has always come to explain the menu and specials to us and is happy to change things around based on dietary requirements. There are always new and interesting things in the menu so I'd recommend to all.

Very friendly service. It's lovely tasty food, and the best thing is the owner came out and said hello and makes sure that we had a good time . Before we leave, she gave us a hug and thanks us for coming . I am so grateful to be there.

I just loved this place, the food was completely delicious! Genuinely italian, great portions and my husband and me received a lovely treatment since we arrived. For sure is a place to come back for our next time in London.

La Fortuna is truly the best kept secret in Kensington. If you want genuine Italian food, this restaurant will surpass your expectations. The pasta is made fresh everyday and presented in the most appetizing way. The ravioli taste absolutely incredibile! The tagliatelle with asparagus and pancetta are flavorful and the gnocchi are delicious. As a dessert aficionado, I can honestly tell you that l've never had a more mouthwatering profiterole, tiramisu or lemon cake. Elsa, the owner makes you feel like you're her personal guest and cooks every meal for you. Don't miss this fantastic restaurant when you're in London!

The tricolor salad was really good, with very fresh tomatoes and top notch olive oil. The carbonara is also very good.

Lovely Italian restaurant just off High Street Kensington, on Kensington church street. It has few outdoor tables and more indoor, in its grind floor and mezzanine’s. The owner is a lovely, talented and friendly Italian lady from Milan. We ordered a bruschetta as a starter to share and it came in the shape of a pizza. Huge and delicious. Then we got the specials of the day, fresh handmade ravioloni filled with beef and onions and others with ricotta and tomato. Highly recommend if you want to try something traditional and handmade.

My first night in London and my local friends took me and my husband here for dinner. It was chef’s kiss delicious! We had pasta, calamari and the pistachio cake dessert and all of it was incredible. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for some great Italian food!

Real Italian gem! Real food, great taste definitely top star. The best Italian restaurant in London, the dishes are absolutely beautiful and delicious, honestly I had the best time with my friends. The service is really good, always asking if you need something, also they have a friendly staff that makes you feel welcome. The place is like being in Italy, now it’s beautiful decorated with Christmas staff. Go and try it by yourself ☺️

Absolutely amazing, so so tasty and authentic italian, absolutely delicious and great service. The Carbonara, Porcini and Linguini Modo mio is absolutely fantastic and the best tiramisu I’ve tasted in whole London. Will be back!!!!

Familia and best Italian food outside of Italia! Our daughter came in and her new Zia Elsa made her fresh pasta, and her parents savored the Paccheri Lombardi and the special Pollo Parmesan. Such a special night and La Fortuna Kensington will always be our top restaurant in London. Aya’s service is exceptional. Grazie millie Zia Elsa, Aya and everyone at La Fortuna!

Not only was the food so fresh and absolutely delicious, but Elsa and her team made us feel like family from the moment we walked in (without a reservation!). The personalized information regarding the menu, the way each course was explained and delivered to us- exceptional. Immediately made reservations for the next night to see what she would come up with for the next nights special. We had our children with us and she spoke to them directly to make sure they also enjoyed. Ten out of ten.

Completely faultless experience! The most wonderful chef came out to share specials and check on us; genuinely warm, friendly and wanted to take care of everyone! All staff were incredibly friendly and efficient. The food was absolutely out of this world. Will be returning every time I'm in the area of the city.

Such a special restaurant! I was treated to a birthday dinner by my best friends and it was perfect! This is Italian food at its very best - amazing flavours, mixing tradition with novelty, fresh pasta, all served with the warmest welcome and heartfelt personality that defines the Italian way of life. To give some examples- caramelised nectarines with burrata; girasoli filled fresh pasta with butter and sage; pappardelle with rich truffle oil and porcini. Thank you so much for your warm welcome, for the birthday treat and for an amazing evening!

Great dining lies in the detail, and La Fortuna get everything right. Authentic, yet with a friendly note, the food is exceptional and the care behind every ingredient is exceptional. I’d 100% recommend and go again.

I was a few days in London for business, and normally I hop around to try new places, until now. For the first time I reserved 2 nights in a row at the same place, La Fortuna. What an amazing, authentic Italian food rolls out of that kitchen. The owner and staff really make you feel welcome and the setting is fitting the vibe. For a little while it felt I was in Italy instead of London, where perhaps a little bit of Italian music would have finished it off. I found my to-go Italian in London!

We had a lovely evening at La Fortuna. Meals were realy tasty. Deborah our waiter was attentive and friendly. Would love to come again anytime soon.

Hold the phone?! How did we just stumble upon this place. Felt like we were transported to Sorrento. The quality of the food was outstanding. The Burrata to start followed by the sea bass for main, divine! Flavours were unmatched. Looking forward to returning to try all the other dishes. I was seriously impressed with the top class service. The manager Michael and the waitress were so helpful in explaining the menu and looked after us from start to finish. There is a sincere charm to this cosy Italian restaurant, and I urge you to treat yourself to it. You won’t regret it! Worth every penny. Thanks a lot and see you next time!

I’ve been to many Italian restaurants in London, and this by far was the best I’ve been to! The food was unbelievable, best carbonara I’ve ever had and the tiramisu was out of this world. Michael served us and his service was absolutely fantastic! La Fortuna is a must to visit! Best food and service!

I had today the best lunch in years! I went with my parents for a lunch in this beautiful hidden gem in high street Kensington 🤌🏼 Ive never met such a wonderful chef , it was busy but she gave us some of her time and introduced us to today’s specials ! We had them all and a pizza ! Everything was just sooo delicious the wine as well ! So lucky to find such a unique place and grateful for lafortuna team for making us happy witg their lovely food and energy !! ☺️☺️ i highly recommend this place

Really excellent meal in such a quaint and unexpectedly cute spot in Kensington. The pasta is handmade and the service was impeccable. We’ll definitely be back. UPDATE: We ended up going back 3 nights in a row because the food was so good!! Each night was great. I stuck to the chef’s specials each night and they were superb. My family was all so happy each night and we already can’t wait to come back for this food.

Very nice little find just off the main high st. Recommend any of the pasta's which a very fresh. We had all three of the specials put on for that day that were a baked burrata, a sunflower pasta dish and a roulade of pork. Just be aware the pork was on the expensive side which we didn't see till the bill came 🤦. Even so would definitely go again on my next trip to London. Recommend for dates as the mezzanine floor was very coast

We had such a wonderful dining experience at La Fortuna! It was our last day in London before heading back home, and thanks to the waitress’s recommendations, we truly ended our trip on a high ! The homemade pasta was absolutely deliciouss fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I enjoyed my time to the fullest today, and it made our farewell to London even more special. Can't say enough about this gem in the Kensington area. The proprietor Elsa, my new amico, is so lovely and accommodating. Recommend reservations during holiday. The staff is lovely and our experience was absolutely awesome! The food was prepared fresh and was delicious. Definitely a great experience and highly recommend La Fortuna when visiting London! I can’t rave enough about the wonderful food and service! You could taste the chef’s love in every bite of the delicious dishes she created. The waitress was so sweet (a nice change from some other service we’ve received up to this point). Everything was hot, fresh and absolutely DELICIOUS!! The place is cute and quaint! We would’ve eaten there every day during our stay in London if we could. Thank you for a great food experience, we really needed this wonderful food and service!

Honestly everything was a 10/10 The food was incredible, portions are perfect, the staff are so welcoming and so friendly. I can’t get over it, made Valentine’s Day so special. If I could I would give more stars than 5!

This is such a hidden gem, a very family run feel, very warm service. Small and cute and set back in time. We shared the burratta special which was huge and then the ravioli special which was divine! Not ridiculously expensive like everything seems to be which was refreshing for a change. I will definitely be back :)

Authentic Italian restaurant. Really good Italian cuisine, I could definetly eat there again. I was sitting upstairs and the only thing that I didn't like wad that the sound level was very high, so it was difficult hearing what the other people were saying. The toilet wasn't that nice either. But very serviceminded staff and good food

The worst pizza my husband and I ever had, we couldn’t even eat it. At £17 per pizza we were at least expecting something edible. We left after eating half a slice, it was that bad. The place itself was shabby and the staff was rude. Needless to say we don’t recommend you go there. Don’t be fooled by all the good reviews like we were! We were the only customers there Sunday lunchtime which should’ve been a red flag in itself.
