Wahaca Wimbledon

Delicious food and wonderfully entertaining service! Thank you, G. I hadn’t been here yet despite having grown up in Wimbledon, so it’s now being added to my list of regular local eats 🌮🥦🍹

We had a wonderful experience at Wahaca! Our server, Gianina, was absolutely fantastic – she looked after us perfectly with such a positive attitude and good vibes throughout the evening. It was truly a pleasure to be served by her. She made our visit feel extra special, and we really appreciated her friendly and professional approach. Perfect customer service, incredible food and extremely reasonable prices. We ordered 5 dishes and they were all delivered in about 10 minutes which was very impressive. Our server, who I believe was named Christina, was so warm, welcoming and polite. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Really good food - pleasantly surprised. Daniel our server was great in particular, and very fast serving us our spicy margs. Twisted my arm for another ! Seabass special dish was actually sensational with the spiced pineapple salsa and toasted almond chilli oil. Fish taco was a little less than authentic but the kids enjoyed it. Food great would return. Restaurant itself is a little tired could do with a spruce up. Service was perfect.

Visited Wahaca on the 22nd of October for the first time. My friend recommended the Wahaca for One it tasted absolutely lovely and was presented beautifully. I even wanted to order another one, I will definitely be coming back again. We were served by Daniel, who kindly explained the menu to me. Thank you for your excellent service

Absolutely incredible customer service from Gianina. I have been to other Wahaca’s in the past but G really made us feel welcome, appreciated and truly valued beyond expectation. The food that she recommend was to die for and I really cannot overstate the brilliant, warm and kind atmosphere that she provided. Thank you so much - I will be 100% be advising friends and family to come here in the future. What a lovely evening!!

The food was delightful, albeit a little delayed due to a high volume of take out orders. Dan C. was very helpful. He helped with an allergy and made sure our drinks were filled.

Gianina G was absolutely incredible tonight!!! She really made our evening special and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we wanted. She kept us laughing the whole evening and even when noticing our wedding photo on my phone stopped to ask how our wedding was. She was absolutely incredible and is such a huge asset to the team. The food was delicious and everything came out in a good amount of time. 100% recommend!

We spent time with Christine and her “shadow”, Dilaash - they were both helpful, friendly, engaging, and warm! Christine offered us suggestions from the menu and was very knowledgeable. We’ll definitely come back. Lovely service.

First time I went there . I loved the service. Everyone was very nice and friendly. Due to my intolerances, the manager sat down with us and went through some things of the menu with us. They also suggested the beef croquetas that were really good( according to my partner since I cant eat it) They also have blue light card discount. Gluten free menu and vegan menu available

On a whim, I found myself at Wahaca in Wimbledon while exploring the area, and it turned out to be a delightful treat. The decor inside caught my eye, it thoughtfully designed with a vibrant yet cozy atmosphere that immediately set the tone for a great meal. Our waitress was incredibly kind and attentive, going above and beyond by recommending dishes based on our appetites, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I settled on the tortilla, and it was packed with flavor, wonderfully juicy, and every bite seemed to burst with taste. My girlfriend chose the tacos and a few other dishes, and she couldn’t stop raving about how good they were.

We were a big group and had guacamole and tortilla chips, house nachos, a load of tacos (different flavours), and burritos. The service was great and all of the food amazing, very flavoursome. We also tried different cocktails and they were excellent. I loved the marmalade mezcalita and the margarita picante. Would definitely go again!

Lovely place to go. Me and my boyfriend came in this evening, lovely atmosphere and so cozy. Food was amazing, full of flavour and very filling. We both got 2 small dishes each and a side so a total of 5 food items and couldn’t eat anymore:)!! Our server (Dan C) was very pleasant who also gave us some great recommendations!! Would 110% recommend if passing or have a chance to visit:)) we shall be back again!!!

Gianna (G) gave me and my son an impeccable service at the Wahaca - she gave us banter and looked after us so well, always asking us when she passed if we needed anything. Tbh all staff are friendly but G is our favourite and most outstanding - always does when I come with a friend and recognises us (we don’t come often enough) - thx G truly a star at what you do for us customers ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazing food and service! The manager/ door host (sorry not sure of his name!) was super accommodating when we asked to move tables and our waiter (Dan C) was great at helping us decide on what to have out of the many choices. Food was delish. Will be back soon

First time being at the restaurant and the atmosphere here is very calm and the waiter Antonio who help us is very hospitable ,throughout the dinner and very helpful at recommending his favourites. Overall I really enjoy having a meal here. I would recommend anyone who enjoy varieties of taco even for the first time.

Amazing authentic mexican food . Alena S was a wonder hostess and very knowledgable regarding the menu . I will definitely eat here again .

We were waited by Gianina. Honestly, it was the best table service I'd experienced in my life. She was so real, kind and sweet, added such a human feel to the whole experience. A waiter to actually talk to and laugh with, someone to look forward to coming back to the table. Thank you!

Went with family on friday eve, the restaurant was quite busy but Daniel was excellent with service and the staff were all very courteous and attentive. The restaurant manager ensured that all guests were being looked after. Great way to run a restaurant! Menu had plenty of choices and the food was sumptuous.

Fantastic food as always (we are regulars). All the staff are always really nice, but kudos to G (Gianina) today! She is fun and a great waitress, made good food recommendations and tips about how to properly eat some og the things. And she was right, it was better! We will be back again soon to have more or the special edition birria, it’s delish.

The food was delicious and the service was fast, efficient and friendly. Our lovely waitress, Alena S, offered helpful recommendations to assist our order and listened carefully to our customizations. She was really sweet and the vernal atmosphere was one of attentive, cheerful culture. Xx

We had such a great experience at Wahaca Wimbledon today. The food was delicious, but what really made our visit special was our waitress, Gianina. She went above and beyond and had the best dry, fun sense of humour — the banter was brilliant and made the whole experience relaxed and genuinely enjoyable. The service was excellent from start to finish, and we left having had a really lovely time. We’ll definitely be back.

Decided to try Wahaca out with some colleagues at lunch and I can honestly say that's the best Mexican food I've ever had... and I've had a lot. Despite it being a chain, the food felt and tasted perfectly homemade, so fresh and very authentic. The taco range is incredible. Finally, the main thing that prompted me to actually write a review was the service. Our waitress was a delight - so friendly, helpful, bubbly and funny. 10/10 experience.

She sat us down at a nice table elegantly and instantly offered food and beverage. Christina made the smart suggestion of what we order making sure we don’t break the bank but leave satisfied. Food:10/10, service:10/10, Christina:20/10. Wow. It was more than the food. People go to restaurants to escape their home lives, to try a different cuisine and get served. I went originally to have some nice food then Christina served us. As soon as I saw her, I knew that she was a kind soul. I will never come here again if Christina does not serve me. If Christina goes I go. 🥹

As always, another great meal at Wahaca Wimbledon. Tonight's meal was also made wonderful as Alena served us and was awesome. She made great recommendations, was helpful and lovely. A great server who made our evening great. We will be back for more tacos and tequila.

Great service - our waitress Gianna was so lovely and funny, you could tell she loves her job and keeping customers happy! She even gave us a complimentary dessert to finish our meal off which topped off the whole experience!

We have been here many times, service as usual is good. Dilsha on training with Michael F was amazing. Overall food is good but please don’t try the corn side dish called Esquites, it is absolutely terrible, I wish they continued the corn on the cob they used to do before. We didn’t like it at all and didn’t even eat and our server Dilsha was kind enough to remove that from our bill.

Went for lunch during a quiet time. Our waitresses were very welcoming and friendly, the service was really good. We ordered some guacamole to start with, Baja fish tacos, grilled chicken and avocado tacos, halloumi al pastor tacos and prawn aguachile. The portions were perfect. Our favourite was the Baja fish tacos. The grilled chicken and avocado ones were alright but a bit bland and not mind-blowing. The halloumi ones were disappointing and lacked flavour. The prawn aguachile was tasty and fresh, but lacked a bit of sourness and spice. We also had horchata and passion fruit and pineapple picante mocktail. We loved the horchata but we didn't feel the kick that we expected in the picante mocktail. The chocolate and pecan brownie was served with ice cream. It felt indulgent and was perfectly soft in the middle.

The service delivered by Alena S. was nothing short of exceptional. From the outset, she demonstrated the highest level of professionalism, attentiveness and courtesy. I am definitely visiting again in the near future.

Was my burrito good? Sure. Tasty tacos? It's alright. Tres leches tiramisu dessert delicious? Yes. But all this is to say that this missspelt restaurant isn't going to wow you. This isn't a local restaurant in Condesa or Roma. But it's good enough and fresh enough to give the illusion of good Mexican food. Service was patchy and lacklustre. Our food didn't come all at once as asked, and we had to ask thrice for more water. I'd still come back for the dessert.

Alena S was our server, she was so patient and kind. We had the best time and would love to have her as our server again! Thank you Alena!

Had a great evening. The food was delicious and fresh, the cocktails are good (Try the Margarita Trio if you can't decide what to choose) and the desserts perfect. Don't struggle to park on the street use Wimbledon Quarter carpark as it cheaper than on street parking and only a few mins walk away.

Food, drinks and service was excellent, however it was disappointing that 3 dishes were missed off the Feasting Menu including 1 of these that we had to swap as it wasn’t available. We had to ask the waitress for these 3 dishes and they arrived long after the other dishes (and itemized separately on the receipt) which implied they didn’t plan on serving these dishes. I can understand 1 dish missed but 3 is odd. I wonder if any other guests have had a similar experience.

Very poor service , I am guessing because it was a Friday afternoon. However there were only two servers and we had to wait for a very long time for someone to come at our table. Also towards the end we ordered for desert to be packed as takeaway and it took around 20 minutes! Asked the waiter twice to get us the bill, we ended up going to the counter to pay as everything was just taking too long Please see picture of what they consider to be tiramisu !!
