Cozy vibes and yummy drinks! There’s clearly a lot of love put into everything they do (the barista working at the time talked about how hard they had worked to perfect their chai recipe) and they are definitely a community staple. I’ll be coming back for sure!

Welcoming atmosphere, a super friendly barista and tasty coffees. I visited twice during my stay in downtown area just because I loved everything. Cajeta Latte and Rompope Latte were both amazing. Rich coffee flavor and perfect for someone who enjoys sweet beverages. Definitely want to go back again.

I'm a coffee lover and this place its definitely great, love the refreshing Confidential Tea and no words to describe how delicious the rompope latte is 100% recommended thumbs up👍🏻👍🏻 to Denise and Gustavo.

A friend of mine introduced me to this place. He went on a couple of vacations to Italy, Greece, France, and a few other places and in the process came back with a far better appreciation for espresso. Hands down, his favorite place when he's in town for a simple espresso is this place. He says there's no competition. My palette isn't nearly as discerning as his, and I normally don't take espresso straight up, some taking his word on it. Whenever we come here I always ask the barista which is her favorite drink. A lot of them are seasonal and change regularly. They also have plenty of milk alternatives for people like me with a little bit of milk sensitivity. I've never had a bad drink here, never had a bad experience, the place is clean, the service is pleasant and friendly and knowledgeable, and it's easy to waste an hour or two. Just chatting and enjoying yourself here.

Just the perfect place to grab a delicious cajeta latte or a good tea! Cozy environment. Wifi. Perfect place to do work or study. Owners are amiable. Denise makes the best drinks ever. I love this place. Small businesses over Starbucks!

Wonderful neighborhood spot with great drinks, friendly service, and chill atmosphere. Queer & BIPOC friendly, with fun events throughout the year. Lots of outlets around the room, giant table in the middle for a group hang. They have a small stack of board games, a library of books to borrow (or take) and an open mic night once a month. Most staff don't wear masks anymore, but they don't judge if you do and they have outdoor seating available. They also offer treats for dogs and pastries. Best way to keep up with events and hours is to follow them on Instagram. @confidential_coffee

I really like confidential coffee and I encourage others to support it. I visited for the first time while taking a weekend trip to Long Beach in August 2024. Coming in was one of the highlights of my visit. I enjoyed the coffee drinks and really appreciated the atmosphere of the cafe. I had the cajeta latte and came back the next day for an Americano. Both were really good. I returned to Confidental Coffee the following January while fleeing the Los Angeles fires. It was comforting to be able to return to a familiar place during such an uncertain time. I stayed in the cafe for several hours while waiting to check in to my AirBnB, and the staff never made an issue about my extended presence (I made sure to buy things periodically). This is a real Long Beach gem; I recommend it to visitors and locals alike.

Love this!!!!! The lady working was amazingly informed and was great to talk with!!!! Love the different options!! This place was recommended to me by my uncle, who frequents this establishments, and I was in love with it!

Confidential Coffee is a refreshing change to the whitewashed cookie cutter coffee shops in our region. Unashamed of where they came from I was welcomed in to get a taste of culture. The coffee is prepared with excellence, and the atmosphere is light and friendly! I am proud to have this specialty coffee shop here in Long Beach. Taste the Mazipan Latte! You won’t regret it! The cold brew is great as well!

Cozy spot with excellent coffee, kind staff, and a chill vibe—definitely a great place to unwind or get some work done

The mazapan latte was incredible - never had anything like it. It's almost like a peanut butter latte, but the taste is subtle and not overwhelming. Really liked the interior decor as well.

This coffee shop is an absolute gem! The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming—they truly make you feel like a regular from the moment you walk in. One of the coolest features is the chalk wall, where customers can leave fun messages or drawings, adding a personal touch to the cozy atmosphere. They even have board games available, which makes it a great spot to hang out with friends or just unwind. And the music? Always on point, with the perfect blend of chill and upbeat vibes. Highly recommend stopping by for great coffee and an even better experience!

The coffee here is incredible. Some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. The Horchata cold brew is the perfect drink, the balance of the coffee and flavors is unmatched in this drink. Great service, too!

The Horchata Cold Brew was amazing. I would definitely go back to try more of their drinks.

Had an iced chagaccino (mushroom coffee) and loved it! It’s like a less sweet mocha but doesn’t hit me with a huge rush of caffeine compared to usual coffee- it was more relaxing. Ask for cinnamon on top! It was perfect.

Amazing drinks, immaculate vibes. Had the Confidential Iced Tea and Horchata Cold Brew, both winners. Place is very thoughtfully laid out, lots of love in the details ❤️ Coming back for sure

The cutest place. It really makes you feel welcome with soft seating, homemade displays, and reading materials + games. How a coffee shop should be! The cappuccino I had was unlike any coffee I've ever tasted (and I've had A LOT) with almost a floral taste. Needless to say, it was amazing. So happy I stopped in here on my trip!

Roomy place good for getting some work done or meeting friends. Very good drinks that are not run-of-the-mill. Definitely will come back when visiting the LBC.

I’ve been here three times and tried something new each time. The coffee here is carefully crafted and tastes great in my opinion. I have met three different baristas and two of them were super nice. The other was not mean or unwelcoming by any stretch ; just not very inviting. She was still nice. I like the art decor around the place. It is a very relaxed environment that will make you want to sit and enjoy your cup. They play good music and have small events as well. I love a few blocks away and this is definitely my favorite place to go so far. I highly recommend at least trying it

You’ll always get friendly service, great coffee retail bag offerings, and delicious coffee beverages at Confidential. They have free WiFi, plugs for if you need to charge, fun decorations, great events and fundraisers, and for parking there is a lot right next door and meters out front on 6th Street. If you want great coffee in Long Beach, definitely visit Confidential! For Christmas right now they have an entire gingerbread village set up in the store. I really like their iced and hot oat milk lattes.

I frequent this place because it's really comfy and perfect for study. It's LGBTQ+ friendly with their being weekly events and delicious coffee drinks particularly their most popular cajeta latte (iced or hot). And Id like to particularly compliment their pristine bathroom. It's beautifully decorated and comes with helpful amenities unlike any other bathroom I've seen.

I ordered Chorizo Breakfast Sandwich and Mazapan Latte, and the coffee tasted like a sweeter latte. As for the sandwich, it has that small spice that kick in it adding more flavour to the sandwich. They also offer coffee beans, and the roasted date is also indicated on the beans that they offer, a bit expensive, though, for those enthusiast out there. Staff is friendly and accommodating. The only issue here while the interior is really great and gives out the cafe its aesthetic and personality despite being spacey. I feel like the seats and table were pretty limited. Other than that, they also offer outdoor tables. I would really recommend it if you're visiting the Long Beach area.

After a really disappointing latte at a nearby coffee shop, I came here and ordered their signature drink - and it was exactly what I needed. Smooth, creamy, and perfectly balanced in flavor. The latte art wasn’t just decoration - it was crafted by someone who clearly loves coffee. You could taste the care in every sip. The atmosphere was welcoming, with a unique design that gave off a cozy library or old-school classroom vibe. It felt real, not over-styled, just authentic and comfortable. Only one downside: there’s a $1 extra charge for plant-based milk. That felt unnecessary, since it’s just a replacement, not an upgrade. Still, the experience made up for it. I left grateful and satisfied.

Nice, cozy coffee spot. The barista Alvaro was kind & made us pretty latte art on the mazapan latte & Mexican mocha we ordered. He recommended the chocolate sea salt vegan donut. I shouldve got 2! I love the Mexican theme of this shop. We came to long Beach for work and this place was our taste of local goodness.

Confidential Coffee in Long Beach is a gem worth visiting, especially for those who appreciate supporting small businesses that uplift communities like minorities and the LGBTQ+ community. This café has shown resilience, having faced challenges but emerging stronger, and it truly deserves all it’s flowers 💐 Located at the corner of 6th and Pacific Avenue in downtown Long Beach, Parking is accessible with both street parking and a small adjacent lot with about 15 spaces. The ambience is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot to relax. The baristas are friendly and helpful, often assisting customers in choosing drinks. The cozy decor consists various couches, a communal bench, and bookshelves stacked with books, complemented by plenty of natural lighting A standout piece is a beautiful painting of Frida Kahlo done by a local artist, adding a unique vibe to the atmosphere. When it comes to drinks, Confidential Coffee offers a unique selection. Their seasonal drinks my personal favs, but the flexibility to customize milk options is a nice bonus. My only complaint is the Cajeta latte fell short in flavor, lacking the expected taste of cajeta. Despite this minor hiccup, the still give this cafe a standing ovation 👏🏼 for their dedication to fostering community and creating a sense of belonging is commendable. Overall, it's a wonderful place to unwind, enjoy quality beverages, and connect with a welcoming community.

I think this might be my new favorite coffee shop to go to. And the biggest reason? It's super dog friendly. They even have a dog menu 😭💙 I love that so much. The coffee is good as well and they have flavors you don't often see, so I appreciate that change. Will come back to try the different lattes. I will also say the prices are spot on and I'm assuming taxes are included in their pricing? Because it was a solid $7 for my total cost (not including tip). I got the Mazapan Latte ($6) and the Peanut Butter Buddy Bite ($1) for my dog. And I'm glad my dog enjoyed the treat. He can be picky at times.

Addicted to the mazapan latte. I sometimes have to get one every day to quench my craving. They also have filling and flavorful breakfast sandwiches, so far I had the pesto one and then the chorizo. Today I got the chorizo for the second time because it hit so good. I like this place because they clearly prioritize flavor and vibes and I can taste it, so it’s always worth going there and fixing my craving.

This place is chill. Coffee was delicious (had a black iced coffee but was hoping for a nitro), but they have good seating, and a great atmosphere. There's a bar here if you wish to imbibe, tons of plants and awesome paintings, as well as board games and books. Music was playing by stereo but looks like there's a record player too (though not sure if it works).

tl;Dr Cold brew was only thing I tried, I didn't like it. They're sweet drinks seem to be the best option. Great spot to spend some time and vibe tho. give it a shot. It's so cute! Love the vibes, love the atmosphere, the clientele is also passing the vibe test. I got a cold brew, it wasn't my favorite if I'm being honest but it's the only thing I tried. They're sweet coffees I think are going to be where it's at, but I'm trying to cut back, I'll be back to try it but yeah the cold brew was not it for me.

Would be 5 stars for the coffee. But the only thing I would constructively like to say is that the music is so so very loud at times. Bizarrely so. The music should be ambient. Not a distraction to reading, working, thinking or talking. Great coffee though.

Visited for the first time last weekend & excellent service, yesterday returned and service definitely was slow and overall disappointing compared to our first visit. Ordered 2 horchata coffees, full of ice and not much liquid. I asked for light ice when ordering and the server made a face when I asked her to kindly remove some of the ice. Cup was quarter full so I asked for her to top up to which she said "I already measured it". I won't be back due to inconsistent service and product. $18 for 2 cups of coffee and you can't even give me half a cup full, shocking. First visit was stark difference to yesterday.

I live in the condo above this business. I used to pick wildflower bouquets for them; before I became ill. I am a 70+ year old white lady. Yesterday morning I had an asthma episode while checking the mail. It was an emergency and easier to go next door than to attempt the 3 flights of stairs back up to the condo . I went in this shop just asking for them to call my husband. They not only denied my assistance request but ejected me from the premises. My God why? Where did kindness go? Why did they treat me this way? If you want coffee go somewhere else. That way maybe they will rethink how they should behave toward people in in crisis. Both my husband and myself have patronized this business often, never again. Just thought you should know.

Two days ago I was really wanting a cup of coffee from this place. I am walking distance. It was 4:00 pm I checked their website for their hours - open till 5pm. By the time I got out on the street it was raining. But I got this far and kept going. Then I noticed they had closed. Their storm/crime doors closed. I walked home in the rain, dammit! These people are making it real hard to give them 1a good review!

It's my first time here because I was awarded a gift card from a group. I had a great first impression when I ordered, but it went south from there. When one of our drinks came, I realized I made a mistake and forgot to change the milk. I asked the tall, young lady what kind of milk was in the drink, and she said it was whole milk. I said I'm lactose intolerant and won't be able to drink it, and she just said sorry to me. It's a bummer that I wasn't offered a redo of my order to help me out. Other coffee houses are more than happy to offer to fix the drink. I ended up giving the drink back and leaving. We drove out from Irvine to try this coffee shop out, and it's sad to say that I cannot recommend this place to others based on poor service.
