Taro based donuts! Each donut is made to order and dipped individually by hand. Very interesting process of making them and fun names : original sin, hot single, PB cup, Hail Mary and lilikoi. You can get an assortment box from 4 pieces to a dozen. Friendly and patient service: it's not easy deciding which one to NOT get. Also got iced Hawaiian vanilla latte and and iced Hawaiian chocolate drink. One bathroom but no changing table for infants or toddlers. Lot of merchandise including coffee beans and shirts, bags, mugs, hats etc... Open air seating but our group took up the one long table (10 adults). Many more stools available. I really enjoyed the lilikoi or passion fruit donut. You can get a pack of donut holes dipped in one flavor I suppose.
I was on a mission to find some matcha while waiting for my partner to get our burger order from The Win~Dow. Unfortunately, the coffee shop next door didn’t have matcha so I needed to find something quick. I walked by the colorful storefront and noticed the Asian flavored donuts, which immediately had me looking for a drink menu. Lo and behold they had several types of matcha drinks on top of a mocha inspired drink which my partner was looking forward to. The donuts themselves are made out of Taro and made to order, so very warm and delicious! I ended up ordering a matcha with 4 donuts varying from sesame seed to passion fruit flavored. And while the price per donut may seem more than your mom and pop shop, the flavor, uniqueness, and quality of the donut really show for it. Overall, cute shop and happy I stumbled upon it!
Absolutely DELICIOUS. I got waffles and sausage for breakfast a little too sweet for me, but it was absolutely delicious. We got a variety of donuts, including the most popular ones and everything was fresh and tasted magnificent. The coffee was good and the presentation of the box and how everything was put together was very classy. I love this place check out the photos, they say everything.
Great little donut shop. I got the tasting menu and a latte. I like that they make the donuts fresh to order so they come out hot every time. Out of the four on the tasting menu, the passion fruit was my favorite. I love anything passion fruit and this one had a nice flavor combo. The donuts are vegan, but if they hadn’t mentioned it I wouldn’t have known. The texture and flavor were close to what I’m used to, maybe even a little crispier in a good way. There’s a small seating area outside where you can hang out. Definitely worth a stop if you’re nearby.
We stumbled upon this donut shop just walking down the street and decided to give it a try. The donuts are made it fresh right in front of you and were fantastic!
One of the best donuts and coffee’s I’ve ever had. Unfortunately, for $7, you coffee size is a little on the small size but definitely worth every penny, except the unexplainable “service fee” 😝. I would definitely return!
Oh my goodness I am so happy with this place, the donuts were amazing! The taste was beyond good. I am a huge fan of taro and definitely gave that texture and let me tell you about the service! ROBBIE and THE PASTRY CHEF! Reminded me what great service looked like which these days is so rare. If you have any catering needs or just popping in definitely go to this one!
My first time at this lovely place. The staff were really helpful and kind, helping me make a selection for a vegan first timer! The staff helped me answer questions about freezing the doughnuts and other weird questions I have about random things with patience. We chose the Lilikoi Passionfruit. It was delicious, sweet, yet not overly so, fruity and I felt as if I had definitely had a treat! Great vegan option! Very easy on the digestion, too, as it’s light as well as satisfying.
Stumbled upon this donut shop while walking down the street and wanted to try it out after hearing good things about it. Ordered one featured donut and one regular donut to try out! Price point was on the higher side, however understandable that it’s made to order and they use premium ingredients. It took quite a while to get our 2 donuts (about 15 minutes) but there was a large group before us so we figured there would be a bit of a wait. The donuts’ flavours were so delicate, nicely balanced and not too overwhelming sweet! Was pleasantly surprised that they were delicious and you could taste the flavour in each bite. Definitely pairs nicely with a coffee, will try that out next time!
Let's just say it: freshly made donuts hit different, and Holey Grail totally proves that. I'll admit, I was a little curious about their donuts since they use taro flour and are fried in coconut oil. I wasn't sure what to expect! But honestly, you can't even tell the flour is taro. These donuts are seriously delicious. We got to try a few, and here's the rundown: * The Reincarnated was a perfect, classic maple. * The Hail Mary was really interesting with cardamom and rose – you can definitely taste them, but it's not too much at all. * The Lilikoi had this awesome, bright passion fruit frosting. * If you like pandan, you'll absolutely love the Pandan Paradise. * And the Tropical Swirl was just a great all-around choice. Holey Grail has really created something special with their unique and incredibly tasty donuts. You should definitely give them a try!
Food: Is it pricey for donuts? Yes. But the donuts are made with the finest ingredients and made fresh to order. This place is where you go to bring friends and enjoy a delicious rich breakfast. You want to order donuts for your office, prob not the place to go unless willing to spend the money and then for sure the right place to go. My husband dislikes donuts but he had two here. You have to at least go once while visiting here and if you live here… bring friends and family! Service: AMAZING! The two that worked there today were sweet and so kind. They made sure the hot chocolate was the right temperature for my little one. They took the time to make us feel comfortable and went above and beyond. Atmosphere: opens up to the street. Nice and cool. And able to take Instagram worthy photos.
This place is a perfect little donut shop. Definitely fancy donuts versus your run of the mill donut shop with the pink boxes. Donuts are pretty sized for a snack. Not a meal, which is perfect. Flavor profiles are fantastic. Mixing tropical flavors along with that Hawaiian island nod. The taro dough makes the donuts extra crispy. Every donut is made to order. It takes a minute. Worth the wait. While waiting you can enjoy the great music along with the decor. Whoever setup the sound system here knows what they're doing. They use Kef speakers 👌
Really pleasant atmosphere and service. Visually appealing to those that like to watch the artists at work (my kids in particular). And most importantly the donuts were decidedly “Wow!”. Had the snickerdoodle and the vanilla bean glazed and they were served piping hot and fresh. Fluffy, crunchy, and satisfying. Great for early morning before school as they open at 7am everyday and open till 9pm Thurs-Sunday.
this place is definitely worth the visit: staff and atmosphere is very LB, and the donuts, well - they’re amazing! you won’t regret the decision to swing through here

The best donut I’ve ever had. It is more expensive than most donuts, but you can’t beat the made-to-order freshness. Incredible atmosphere and amazing variety of flavors. Will be back a lot…

This donut shop has a great location and a really nice interior. It’s clean, modern, and inviting. It’s definitely the kind of place you’d want to stop by if you’re in the area and craving something sweet. The donuts are unique and clearly made with care. They were a little on the heavier side, and while they were good, they didn’t quite blow me away. Still, the quality is solid and the flavors are interesting enough to make it worth trying. Overall, it was a four-star experience. A great spot to satisfy a donut craving, especially if you’re into specialty treats and good atmospheres.
Made to order doughnut with a variety of interesting flavor to choose from. The doughnut was dense and slightly crunchy if eaten within 10 mins. If taken to go the crunchy texture will be lost. So eat half at the store and save the other half to go...
I don't blame any shop especially something like donuts to somehow offer something out of the norm, but at what cost? So here we go, right off the bat, these donuts r delicious but I think they are more like an awesome churro dough combined with a mochinut. It's different, has a great doughy middle with a slight crunch. So now the minuses, they're small, maybe 40% smaller than regular but cost twice as much, all donuts are the same but the toppings are different. So don't expect it to be different like a cinnamon roll to old fashion to a long John, it's the same donuts. Lastly since they were made to order, there could be a wait, I waited 10 minutes for mine, and I was first in line. U can imagine that there could be a long line because of it, not sure if u can order ahead, but if so, go that way.
Stopped in after grabbing a coffee next door. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff, with interesting combinations of toppings. I got a single Original Sin, which was hot (fried to order) and tasty. There wasn't a line, so I think I only waited 3 minutes. Really the only downside is value, at $4 for a pretty small donut, it's not going to fill you up, but these prices are to be expected for The Shore.

The donuts are good, but despite the complex names they all seem to taste the same. The dough is not exactly light, it looks like a cake. I ordered a hot coffee and it came lukewarm. They don't have disposable cutlery.
The cake donuts are good. The toppings and flavors are made no order...not the actual donut. Bit over priced.. I mean 16 bucks for 4 mini donuts? Definitely the Over priced ingredient argument. Anyway. They were nice. Good. Not great. I've had Hawaiian donuts in Honolulu at Leonard's bakery. Just didn't taste the same. Or Four sisters in Wailuku.. just didn't feel the Hawaiian connection.
