Weekly spot to enjoy the MOST AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS vegan eats! Recommend that you always get the special if there is one! One of the agua frescas, coffees, or a choice from the variety of other drink selections are a must have. The photos are from different times, mostly specials. Anything on the menu is the right choice - just depends on what you're feeling. The ENTIRE staff is great! Fun, attentive, and absolutely the best team. Do your tummy and taste buds a favor and visit the Wild Chive! The art hanging and on the walls, and entire restaurant decor are the vibes!
Had brunch here on a Sunday morning and it was busy, but no wait. Our server was so pleasant and kept our waters full. I had one of the best micheladas that I have ever had and my country breakfast was tasty! There was a bit of a dog kerfuffle while we were there, but the staff didn't seem rattled by it and other than that a perfect brunch!
Awesome vegan comfort food. Nice people. It is my favorite place to eat in Long Beach I went there again on August 4. The lady at the desk smiled and handed me a menu so I could choose my lunch. I told her what I wanted and she took me to the counter and helped me place my order. She invited me to have a seat while they prepared my lunch. I was wondering how I was going to hear them call my name. No worries. When my order was ready she brought it to my table.
When a vegan foodie friend came to visit California recently, we went here for brunch, and it was fabulous. The service was great, our server was so cool, and the decor and vibe were on point. ALL of the food was so good, including the fried pickles! I got the French toast and cleaned my plate. My friend also loved her breakfast entree, made of tofu. I would definitely return, and I’m not even a vegan. Check the hours - they aren’t open late. Parking is just street parking and in the residential neighborhood.
I'm not a vegan but I definitely would recommend this place to anyone who wants to give vegan food a chance. One of the best vegan brunch spots that I've had! I got the Vietnamese Iced Coffee and it was amazing. They made it with house made condensed oat milk and I can't wait to go back to have more! We also got the Monte Cristo, Zucchini bites and Mushroom burger! So so good!!
Ok, I’m going to start with I am NOT a vegan and this place is phenomenal! The service was great, the workers are super nice and food is just.. yum! Their cheese tastes like dairy cheese, I could not tell the difference. I didn’t care for the “bacon”, it had the consistency of thin jerky and the bland taste and altogether just didn’t pair well for me. However, the “BLT” sandwich was still amazing without it. I will come here every time I want to eat more green 💚 next time I will have to ask for my coffee to come out hotter, besides that my time here was nothing shy of perfection.
First time we try this place and it has become our new fav brunch/lunch spot in Long Beach right away! The food is super tasty and healthy, definitely one of the best vegan food I ever had in LA. Great atmosphere and super friendly staff. To top it off, the patio tables and indoor/outdoor space make it very dog friendly which was perfect for our dog (it’s also 5min from Rosie’s beach, so very convenient!)
Came for takeout brunch AND dine-in dinner. Had to try out the different items. Food was so good! Especially the Southern fried chik'n sammie and the fried pickles. Only complaint were that the beignets are pretty yeasty. Don’t get them.
A+++ Amazing Vegan dishes, Amazing customer service & awesome design & decor. We started with the fried zucchini and after I took the first bite I knew we were in for an experience. The flavor and texture of the zucchini was perfect. The homemade marinara and aoili dipping sauces made it hard not to double dip. I had the chicken and waffles. Soft and moist waffle and chicken had me thinking it was real. The habanero sauce was flavorful but not very spicy. My wife had the BLT; I had a piece and it was outstanding. All the different flavors between two perfectly toasted bread was delicious until the last bite. The food is very reasonably priced considering its vegan food and the amazing staff & eclectic atmosphere. We are planning on heading to LBC just to eat here again.
Great vegan restaurant with some fun plays on popular street comfort foods. Made a reservation online around noon for 7:30 that night (mid-week). Overall was a lovely experience. Definitely coming back. We ordered the tofu Bahn Mi bowl, the fried mushroom Po Boy, the fried pickles, and added a side of fries to the Po Boy. A lot of fried food, but it was done perfectly - the last of the fried pickles were still crunchy at the end of the meal. The mushrooms in the Po Boy were marinated such that my girlfriend (who usually does not like mushroom earthy flavors) thought they were great. The fries are also worth mentioning: perfect; crunchy on the outside to the last bite, but creamy on the inside. Looking forward to future meals here.
I loved my Lunch/Brunch. The Vietnamese Coffee was perfect and balanced. I had a Monte Cristo sandwich with fries. Also excellent. While it’s always difficult to balance plant based food to their meat counterparts I think they did well. Could have been a tad Smokey -er. It was still well made and the jam was excellent. Next time a bring a bunch of friends to enjoy this local goodness. And did I mention the sweeten condensed oat milk was made on site? Bravo.
I believe I had the breakfast Sammy with a side a fruit, and drip coffee. Ordered it to go. It was amazingly good. I did feel the vegan sausage was over seasoned or salted but for a vegan dish I can’t complain. The vegan cheese is the best I had so far including the egg substitute. Would I come back again, yes I would. Something I do recommend to improve service is an offer of sugar & milk with the coffee. They did bring it over once we asked for it.
The Bahn Mi Bowl is decent, very filling. The Cilantro overwhelms the meal. The Coconut rice is like a carrier for the ingredients. I request my meal without the beer batter so my review is about the meal without it. I like the way the coconut and cucumbers diffuse the sauce textures. The Crispy tofu is good in a spoonful with the other ingredients and breaks the dulling of the cucumber and Cilantro flavors. The price for the meal is okay. The customer service is on point. The store is open with a decent amount of spacing between seats, wide with high ceilings, and has artwork on the walls.
The ambiance inside this place is pretty dope and the staff is just part of the extraordinary vibes you pick up walking into the restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating available…highly suggest that you book a reservation at all possible so worth the wait for the delights you’ll be enjoying here! Did I say the staff is wonderful already…everyone in such a great mood and teamwork notice from afar…from your waiters to the kitchen and bartenders of course we can’t forget Wendy she’s the owner and will be greeting you if you’re lucky at the door! I tell you I waited to long to visit this place and now…I can’t stop thinking of those delicious not greasy at all Zucchini’s and house dressing deliciously fresh and crunchy you can hear and taste! Our server Kesic was so friendly and very informative with the questions I had for him everything on point and all the food was perfect for sharing so Momma and I could try some of each others items..I ordered the Mushroom burger it was different because I’m not vegan but absolutely delicious goodness knowing I was having something healthier made the experience even more joyful. Mom was suggested to try the Monte Cristo…the bartender Wally suggested that and of course the zucchini’s which was a great hit…yes I got my bite of that Monte Cristo and let me tell you it was like having Mac n cheese with sweetness from the marmalade but crispy from the bread it was yummy! Chicken and French Toast was delicious…it’s not Chicken but it’s coated and deep fried crispy goodness you wouldn’t miss the meat…believe me it was so delicious we ate that left the French toast to go…we had an extraordinary experience and I absolutely loved everything about this place! Thanks for the sweet welcoming the suggestions..the service and of course the Delicious food plus the love and attention you all gave my momma was sweet…🌻Gracias this Sunflower means I will definitely be returning and highly recommend you all to try if you’re visiting Long Beach it’s a must try…Wild Chive you’ll love it I guarantee you sure will…thanks to all the staff the cooks who came out to bring their creations my hats off to you all🌻💯🙌❤️oh before I forget if you like spice …you have to try their habanero sauce 🔥❤️my favorite to pair with my spicy 🌶️ needs
You have to make a reservation to dine in the restaurant, but it’s so worth it because The Wild Chive has The BEST vegan breakfast / brunch in Long Beach! I usually share the crispy zucchini sticks with my partner (who said the pancakes were delicious) and have the stuffed french toast with a Vietnamese coffee, so yum! If they’re open for lunch or dinner check that out too. Honestly everything on the menu is good.
Amazing food. Great service went during brunch time. Reservations are required on weekends. Use Tock. No bottomless mimosas but that’s ok. Will be going next time I’m in Long Beach.
Best stuffed French toast in town! This is a not-to-miss vegan cafe in Long Beach. Really fun, vibrant atmosphere and loved the brunch here. 🅿️ Easy, free parking

One of my most favorite vegan spots in the country, I always make it a point to stop at The Wild Chive when I'm anywhere near Long Beach. They used to have an incredible monte cristo sandwich that I'm still dreaming about. Pa's Cubano is a good substitute though. The Vietnamese coffee kept me going all afternoo. The always-kind and helpful staff make every visit awesome!
Absolutely LOVED our visit here - the food was fantastic, the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the playlist playing was fantastic. I was signing along as we sat there for almost 3 hours visiting with family, and the staff never minded, and in fact they made sure to keep us hydrated and well taken care of the whole time. The fried pickles and the oat milk pancakes were absolutely fantastic - some of the best pancakes I’ve ever had in my 43 years in this life. Absolutely wonderful!

1000000/10 I loved every minute
Staff and atmosphere are kind and cool (minus waiting ten minutes for a water refill), but the best thing we consumed was the Aqua Fresca. Mushroom burger is over-salted, has the worst of the store bought bacon on it, and lacks any interesting flavor. Tatar tots were okay, but uninspired. The salad was a British type of salad (eg Tree leaves). We didn’t eat any of the breakfast desert items (French toast, pancakes, etc), but those do look better than what we had. Doubt I’ll risk coming here again and it won’t make my best of Vegan places in the world bookmark.
