This is my favorite tea shop in Long Island City. They use all fresh fruits, and the sweetness of the fruits is great, without adding much extra sugar. They use organic milk and tea leaves better than most milk tea shops, the service is good and fast! I'll be back here again with my friends for a drink!
I recently visited moge tea, and I have to say, it’s my new favorite spot for milk tea! The flavors are absolutely delicious, and you can tell the ingredients are fresh. I tried their mango one and strawberry one, and it was perfectly balanced—just the right amount of sweetness and fruit freshness. The staff was super friendly and helped me choose the perfect drink based on my preferences. Plus, the shop itself has a cozy, welcoming vibe, perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. Highly recommend if you’re a milk tea lover!
One of my favorite spots when I'm craving a sweet treat. I love the fresh fruit infused teas and I always get it with herb jelly, and 30% sugar, so it's a little healthier. I've never had the cheese foam yet, but it sounds interesting! I've had the mango, pineapple, and strawberry teas so far, and will try the watermelon next.
Creme brulee milk tea was good! A little thick, sweet, and yummy. The tapioca was also good, not super hard or chewy. Service was fine, location had some seats where we could wait for our drinks. They also have Asian snacks at this location, like egg tarts and cakes. Would like to try more from Moge :)
As a boba fanatic, I'm so happy this place opened in the heart of LIC!! It's super cute, a 5 min walk from ALL the subways, and the tea is deLICious! 😄 TEA I've tried the bubble milk tea, mango fruit tea, pineapple fruit tea, Avocado Fruit tea, and Fresh Lemon Green tea and all of them are quali-TEA 😜. The classic bubble milk tea is always a winner, but also their fruit teas come in slushie form and you can tell by the taste that they are made with FRESH fruit. I didn't expect that at first and was pleasantly surprised. If you like green tea, I highly recommend the Lemon Green tea - it's one of my faves. You have the option to get cheese foam on your fresh fruit tea. I personally don't like cheese so I opt out, but my boyfriend got it with the Oreo Milk tea and said he really liked it! He described it as a heavy creamy cheese foam. I think it's supposed to slowly seep down into your drink unless you drink it really fast like he did 😂 PRICE Drinks start at $5 and go up for the fruit/cheese foam teas. It may seem a little pricy at first, but once you taste it & see the quality of their tea and cups/caps (they kind of seem reusable), the price is totally justified. They don't use powder like most places and are generous with their fresh fruit so you can tell they care about quality here. SERVICE - the absolute best! 💯 They just opened so they're working out their new-business-kinks but you can tell they really care about giving you the best service. The business owners around here in LIC are so friendly and down to earth and this place is no different so they fit right in with the LIC-community-vibe. Love it 🌟 EXTRAS They have a cute Instagrammable sign #doitforthegram & a sequin covered column that you can draw on while you wait. It's probably for kids but not gonna lie, I drew on it because it's cute and fun and why the heck not. The creme brulee milk tea and one of the parfaits are next on my list to try, but I will definitely be frequenting the milk teas & fresh fruit teas. I didn't capture pics of all my teas but included some here. Hope this review is helpful! 👍
Had a medium brown sugar bubble tea. It was delicious. I wanted to say "less sugar" but they don't add any extra sugar so it wasn't necessary - didn't taste overwhelmingly sweet. The store on a Sunday afternoon was packed so I had to wait a while before getting my order. Knocked a star off because the bubbles in my drink were all clumped together. They wouldn't fit through my straw so it wasn't a great experience drinking it.
decided to give this a try because they look extremely vacant compared to hey tea, tried to support small business and fight back big capital businesses- and you know what :) 100% know why there are no guest/customer. The size is tiny (I have L size in image), no cup sample to know size different. I was surprised by the size inflation. The drink is ... nothing special Price is nothing to compare with size Never visit again.
Order: Cheese foam black milk tea and Creme brulee Uji matcha. Pros: Good cheese foam. Good tea flavor. Great customer service. Comfortable place to relax with plenty of power outlets. Cons: On the pricey side. 1 dollar charge for large upgrade. Boba/bubbles/pearls/tapioca was not the best. It was too chewy and could use a little more flavor. Being from Southern California, I needed to get my boba fix and this place was walking distance from our hotel. It was enough to satisfy the craving but it wasn't the best or even close to the best that I've tasted back at home. Walking in, there were a couple of samples available and that guided our decision to order. I understand that it is a fairly new place and I would be willing to give it another try, potentially at another chain store.
I have had Moge Tea Uji Matcha Crème Brûlée Milk tea several times in Forest Hills and Sunnyside and absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, this one in LIC gave it to me tasting SOUR. I realized as I was walking with it that it might be either the milk was expired or the crème brûlée. I was going to an interview and did not have time to go back so I just threw it out. I thought of asking for a refund or told them but I felt bad since I was already having a hard time asking the employee questions about the menu (we were having a hard time understanding each other) I don’t want to get this employee in trouble or fired. But THIS IS A HEALTH HAZARD! If you’re in the food business, you should make sure not to get people sick from expired stuff. I was so excited as I just moved to LIC and saw it was about 15 min. walk from my house. It was also a very cute and promising looking branch. I really hope this was a one-off mistake and the staff and manager can check all their ingredients for expiry dates (but also just smell the ingredients to see if they’re still good?). I know sometimes milk and cream can expire sooner than its actual date once you open it. Again, if management reads this I don’t want to get the employee in trouble but please for the sake of your customers triple check expiry dates. I would say I want to try again next time but I’m scared now since I have a very sensitive tummy. Thank you.
I got orange yakult around 7PM today. It wasn't good, too sugary and lesser ice. I had to remix it at home. But alright, maybe it's not for me. I wouldn't review if I didn't see a piece of aluminum from the yakult. Please please be careful while making drinks. I was the only customer so there shouldn't be even an excuse for this. :(
This place is awful. I came in after I went to the vet with my dog to pick up a classic brown sugar Boba. The guy did not ask me if I wanted to ice or level of sugar, if hot or cold. Then he proceeded to preparing it, and just setting it on the table, after I grabbed my order, I was confused because it was in a paper cup but still cold so I grabbed a straw and left. Then I tasted it OMG. The Boba balls tasted hot and old. It was really gross almost like a late goat cheese flavor, which was moldy the fact that they were hot made it 10 times more disgusting. I was already a block away, so I just threw it out but it’s upsetting as I love hopping around different Boba places, but this was by far the worst in Long Island city.
Walked to this location specifically because it's close by. Went in and ordered, but the guy didn't ask me what level ice or sugar I want. The guy in the back started making my first drink without me being done ordering. I asked about their Yakult drink flavors and the guy recommended Passion fruit after assuming that was the flavor I asked for. I then said I wanted 30% sugar and no ice in both drinks. The guy in the back comes over to argue with the cashier instead of just telling me they can't adjust the sugar. Cashier then gets annoyed with me saying that they don't offer passion fruit Yakult and asking where I saw it. ??? You told me it was a good flavor. And so I asked AGAIN for a recommendation and he suggested dragon fruit which is a $9 drink. When I changed my order to Orange, he got annoyed! THERE WAS NO ONE ELSE INSIDE. It was empty when I entered and empty when I left. Sorry for making you do your job???? They don't want people to go there obviously. So go to the other locations. I also noticed that the screen was black so I couldn't see a total AND they were really quick to snatch the receipt afterwards. When I got home, the drinks were not great: they were both watered down(couldn't taste much flavor), both with ice, and the Oreo topping was on top. Don't come to this location.
