Stop here to try this Michelin star restaurant. The beef sandwich was good and flavorful beef could’ve been a little more juicier but wasn’t bad fries were good and my friend order the steak tartare lol and didn’t realize because he didn’t read the description lol he did his best with it.

Bury me in Bell’s. This meal was OVER THE MOON! Everything was fabulous and only made more outstanding but the exceptional service. No wonder this spot has a star. Also dog friendly outdoor area!

Bell's is a fabulous culinary experience. Their recently earned Michelin star is well deserved while staying true to their farm-to-table style. Highlights include a friendly and knowledable wait staff, a cozy setting in Santa Ynez wine country, a top tier (yet reasonably priced) wine list, and locally sourced ingredients that in some cases come from the ocean or ground the same morning. My favorite was the Santa Barbara sea urchin with caviar on a crepe (shown in the attached photo).

Bell’s salad and fries and lemon water in the hot day of October was just perfect! I am in love! Found this place just on the map when refill gas for my car near the hwy and this place was just like little paradise in the desert 🥰

What a fabulous first meal. Not just for the food but the wonderful customer service. The moment you walk in, there is a warm greeting followed by the Fresh greenery display inside. Waiting staff helped one another and we’re very nice. We will return!

Bell’s is the most unpretentious Michelin-starred restaurant we’ve ever tried. What a delight. We visited for my wife’s birthday. I would call the cuisine certainly French inspired, if not rigorously French like some French restaurants. You can order ala carte at lunch and prix fixe at dinner. We found the meal to be an excellent value. I’m a frequent Vegas visitor, so to get a whole wonderful meal for the price of an ala carte ribeye on the Strip felt like stealing. The wine list was decidedly European. It lacked familiar faces to this wine amateur. But the prices were far, and our under $100 selection was well received. Now to the food. The uni appetizer with caviar was ok. The flavor was perhaps too subtle for me. The salad and bread, while simple, were delicious. I gave the next course, a tuna credo, a solid 10. It was a fantastically delicate offering that practically melted in our mouths. My wife liked it a bit less. The rabbit was outside my wife comfort zone but she enjoyed it. My steak frite was perfectly prepared but the cut was a touch tough. The fries were piping hot and delicious. We tried a couple of the desserts and they were good. Nothing special. But the pastry they brought out for her birthday was unlike anything we ever ate before. Impossibly light and delightful. Now as for the service, we have enjoyed a few Michelin starred restaurants over the years and find their service to be generally excellent, and often very formal and occasionally stuffy. The service here is different. Many of the staff are in tee shirts. They offer none of the preening and primping you come to expect from fine dining. Our server Raymond was a consummate pro. Like many at the restaurant, his style was personal and engaging, but again utterly lacking in pretense. After the meal we looked up what it take to earn a Michelin star, and what we read surprised us. It appears that Michelin looks for overall experience as opposed to merely the ”service” when evaluating a restaurant. At Bell’s, it is indeed the experience that delights. We were plotting our return to Bell’s before we even received the check. 5 Google Stars well deserved.

Bell's is the culinary destination of the Santa Ynez Valley. Fresh Californian flavors presented with attentive service in an intimate and elevated environment that fits the community of Los Alamos. Excellent wine list. Servers will gladly answer questions and make recommendations. Recommend the kitchen bar to watch the chefs at work.

I was able to finally try this place out and I cant wait to go back. The hospitality really stands out from the moment you enter this restaurant. The menu is curated from local ingredients and you can tell everything is fresh. The vibe is great, food is great and drinks are great. It seems like they mix up their menu quite often so Im definitely looking forward to next time!

My wife and I enjoyed a redo meal for our 46 anniversary due to a poor meal in SLO and me not being in a great mood that day. Bell's was easily the best meal we've ever had. We dined at River Cafe in New York for an anniversary dinner and Bell's hands down was better. Can't wait to come back, Lauren our waitress was the best, Thank You Lauren and Bell's. Bruce

My wife made a reservation for my birthday and we drove all the way from Los Angeles; I will be the first one to tell you that it was all worth it. Excellent, super helpful and professional staff and freshly prepared, tasty offerings from the beginning of the thoughtfully put together and reasonably priced Prix Fixe menu. We will be back.

Just had our Funday Friday lunch at Bell's after an extended absence. Excellent in very aspect. They remembered us and welcomed our return. Already planning for our next adventure with them.

Fabulous meal with impeccable service. A five course dinner started with a sea urchin and caviar amuse-bouche and then delicious sourdough bread and gorgeous salad. We choose Roses de Veau for the third course and it was delicious. For the main course I had amazing steelhead trout and my partner had steak au poivre. Both excellent. Finished dinner with a dark chocolate mousse that was rich and not too sweet- a perfect balance. My partner had rhubarb clafoutis which was tart and well balanced. Make reservations and experience this jewel of a restaurant, you will not regret it.

Everything was so amazing! From the moment we stepped in...the staff was so kind and friendly. The menus had Happy Anniversary typed on them. The tasting menu was delicious and so many choices....it was divine...the whole experience!

What a find?!! We got lucky on our drive from Pismo to LA getting hungry with limited non fast food options open. We ordered for pickup but after seeing the place we asked if there were seats available. Cozy & friendly service. Small menu of excellent, farm to table food. Menu changes everyday. Excellent service and beautifully put together bristo pieces. You're gonna get the beef cheek sandwich - soft bread and salty, tart and sweet filling. Onion soup isn't messy around either.

I was graciously brought here by a friend for my birthday and what an experience it was! Incredible food, unique and wonderful wines and an amazing staff. One of my favorite dinners in California, and beyond. Canape of Santa Barbara Uni with caviar, sweet local lettuces with fresh pepper, sweet breads with capers, and an incredible preparation of west coast sturgeon with confit shallots and fennel. The menu was inspired and perfectly executed. Would highly recommend, and, at a prix fixe of $50, truly a great deal for a meal of this quality.

5 course Menu de Gustation with Wine Pairing. Al fresco patio dining is de rigueur at Bell's during the PandemIc. Food concepts & techniques there should earn Bell's an Une Étoile Guide Michelin rating. Tyler is great at pairing wine to each course. Bell's creates memorable meals at a fraction of the cost compared to such places as the Bay Area or Los Angeles.

Absolutely fantastic. Great atmosphere. Staff extremely friendly and welcoming. Succinct and refined menu. Fries were cooked perfectly - crisp on the outside and tender in the middle. I had the braised beef cheek sandwich. Bread was crisp and soft (like the fries). Meat was shredded and flavorful (reminded me of barbacoa). Sandwich does not look large when it arrives but it is quite filling. It was not inexpensive but was definitely worth the money. Fries and sandwich were about $27 with tip Such a cool place to eat in a quaint wine country town. So glad I was given this recommendation by someone who knew about it. I will definitely share this spot with others I know who appreciate the tastier things in life!

Take equal parts skill, innovation, integrity, best quality ingredients, commitment to the team, gracious yet unassuming service, and you’ve got the winning formula at Bell’s where MacReeves and I had the pleasure to dine on his day of birth. Some of our favorites from the meal included caviar and uni mille crepe (delicate bursts of briny sweetness), tender gem lettuce salad with perfectly balanced shallot and date dressing, the most delicious house made sourdough and cultured butter, yellowtail crudo with plums, vaguely smokey duck terrine with seductive little pickled grapes and little jewels of assorted fresh beans in creme fraiche and pesto. For dessert we had a subtle and silky fig leaf ice cream, almond financier with creme anglaise, and a hefty gateau Breton. A Gamay and a local Pinot added to our enjoyment, along with the kind, casual and gracious service of everyone that took care of us, but especially the delightful Christina. Cannot wait to celebrate another occasion here. Or maybe just lunch?

bell’s definitely leans toward cozy charm. It’s this rustic, French-ranch or ‘Franch’ thing. The place has personality, and the staff is friendly enough. The food is pleasant, not fancy, and the prices add up. Good for a casual splurge but don't come expecting fireworks

If I could give this place ten stars, I would. Beautiful atmosphere, and amazing tasting menu. Definitely recommend coming on a Monday when they do half priced bottles of some of their higher end wines. The wine list goes deep, heavy on French and California wines. Staff was so accommodating and friendly. Can’t wait to come back.

I don't review many restaurants and don't consider myself a connoisseur at the level to distinguish Michelin 1 star from a three, but we have enjoyed some pretty amazing restaurants around the world. Bell's is on par if not punching up a level in terms of the experience. They reached out often in the days leading up to see about allergies, find out if it was a special occasion, and were quite accomidating to our preferences. The only similar experience was at a 2-star restaurant in Burano, Italy. The personalized menus were a nice touch to memorialize the occasion. The food was as expected, which, if you have read the reviews, is pretty amazing. It was more seafood heavy(great for me!), but it appears to be a seasonal menu with many locally sourced options. It was my first experience with sea urchin and it was quite delightful! The texture was unlike anything I have ever eaten in a good way. The scallop risotto lived up to the high standards that you have after spending years abroad. The sea bass was good and fresh but not a showstopper. The steak was very well done, and I don't mean overcooked. I am glad we each got something different to be able to experience the chiefs full range of talent. This may be amateurish, but the salad was quite amazing. I swear they took each leaf and spray coated it evenly with the dressing. It was so uniform in appearance and taste. I tend to be amazed at the small things in life. Desert was pretty good, in comparison to top-tier restaurants. The walnut, honey, and cheese dish was the unexpected star of dessert. The atmosphere was nice but not a place that you would feel out of place in a polo and jeans. If you are looking for great food and great service, this is the place. If you are looking to flaunt the high life on insta, this might not be your vibe.

Visiting Bell's was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Their star was definitely well earned. First of all, the atmosphere and service was impeccable. It felt I was being welcomed into a friend's home. The staff really care to make the experience special. The food was insane. They have a new menu everyday, using amazing local ingredients, so your experience may vary. Each course was made with so much care and detail to unique flavors. My personal favorite was the appetizer course, in which I had the Rabbit en croute. The rabbit was so tender and not gamey at all. The crust was so flaky and delicate, while the sauce was savory and complex. I also had the steak, which was perfectly cooked with a peppercorn sauce that was out of this world. I could continue writing about every detail of the food, but it would make this a very long review. Just do yourself a favor and get a reservation if you're in the area.

This was the last night of our visit to our family in Santa Barbara, so we treated ourselves and went to this great, 1 Michelin Star place in tiny Los Alamos. As described in the Michelin Guide, "Daisy and Greg Ryan: their particular skill lies in blending phenomenal product (90% of products are sourced from within 20 miles), focused flavors and methods." They serve unpretentious food in their delightful restaurant, which has an excellent laid-back vibe, but with great service. The food was beautifully presented and each dish was fresh and lovingly put together. The menu is fixed, but with a few options on the larger courses. I chose: • Santa Barbara Sea Urchin, Regis Ova caviar, mille crêpe • Bell's Seeded Sourdough, Stepladder Creamery cultured butter • Finley Farms Lettuces shallot & medjool date vinaigrette • Wild Bay Scallop Crudo, Santa Rosa plums, tomato consomme, garden heros • Halibut Poché, bottarga, summer bean ragoût, white garlic • Pistachio Financier chantily, summer berries I really enjoyed all the courses, but the Scallop Crudo was especially delicious. What a special place. Amazing service, atmosphere, and food. Not even super expensive for a Michelin 1 Star Restaurant. Worth the travel to Los Alamos to visit Bell's. We had a big party and basically ordered whole menu to share. Nothing disappointed, you should definitely order something out of your normal wheelhouse here, don't be afraid. Oh, and bring your kids just so you can get the pasta off the kids menu, dang that was good. They really know their tomatoes, hence the near perfect Egg Salad Sando, with the tomato paste that they make.

Third time eating at Bell's was as good as the first two. Great -- and inexpensive wine -- to accompany a first rate 5-course prix fixe menu with original pairings and generous portions in a cozy setting. The service is friendly, knowledgeable and relaxed, much like visiting Los Alamos itself.

We love Bells! We took our kids for the first time too last visit, best butter noodles they will ever have in their entire lives, and they still stole my caviar. Highly recommend!

Incredibly attentive service and food that ranged from very good to world class. The wonderful surprise of the night was the sourdough bread. It hit all the right notes: the chew that contrasted to the crust, the temperature it was served, the subtle sourness and the high quality butter that brought these elements together. World class! We wanted to buy up their whole bread stock and took it all back to SoCal with us. We BEGGED. Alas, no luck. The service: we got outdoor garden seating. The sun hit my eyes just as it was setting. I put on my sunglasses. No big deal right? The proprietress saw it and directed her staff to put up an outdoor umbrella 25 feet away to block the sun in my eyes. I didn't even prompt them or anything. Then an hour later. The evening chill set in and my wife put on her jacket. Next thing we knew the proprietress came by to offer her blankets. This was some Joel Robuchon, Eric Ripert, El Bulli thing going on. Yeah, color me beyond impressed to say the least. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wife and I returned for lunch. It was a 4-hour drive to get here and so worth it. We ordered 4 appetizers, a dessert, a bottle of sparkling water and a Figlia apperitif. The Uni over Panna Cota was the most beautifully plated thing I've seen in a long, long time. Perhaps ever. It tasted top notch, in strong contention for my personal food hall of fame. We'll have to come back and eat it again. And if we still love it as much, then it's a hall of famer. Besides the Panna Cota everything else was quite good. Total came out to $150. We'll be back.

The perfect lil cozy spot...that also happens to be a Michelin Star restaurant. It's fine French dining comfort food, but in the most elevated, unpretentious manner. The escargot, the crème-fraiche panna cotta, the terrine, the steak tartare, and the butter cake...all were absolute heaven with every bite.

We had a beautiful lunch today! The terrine was outstanding, the moules frites delicious, and my partner loved his beef cheek sandwich. Solid wine list as well. The highly-seasonal, farm-to-table, always-changing menu will have you always daydreaming about next visit. On mine, I enjoyed a fresh and fragrant tomato gazpacho, warm and flavorful fries, and a salad that I couldn’t get enough of. Bell’s is so highly- and widely-recommended for a reason.

Stopped by for lunch during an afternoon of wine tasting in the Santa Ynez area. Food was absolutely fantastic. Ordered the fritto misto app, the ham and cantaloupe app, and the chicken liver mousse app. Sweetest cantaloupe I’ve ever had. For the main, we each got the egg salad sandwich, and it was perfection. Roughly chopped hard and soft-ish boiled eggs, kewpie mayo, and tomato jam made up the best egg salad sandwich I’ve ever had. Tried to order cake but they ran out close to closing so waiter brought us a scoop of homemade ice cream instead and it was also lovely. Would’ve loved to eat here for dinner but lunch was well worth the stop!!

If you’re anywhere near Los Alamos, make the time to stop here. It’s a must. The food is consistently exceptional, with a French-inspired menu that’s both elevated and approachable. The egg sandwich is a total standout—simple but absolutely perfect. The oysters are incredibly fresh and expertly prepared, and the steak tartare is one of the best I’ve ever had: bold, balanced, and beautifully plated. Service is always on point—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable without being overbearing. You really feel taken care of from the moment you walk in. The atmosphere ties it all together: relaxed, stylish, and full of good energy. Bell’s nails it every time. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this place is unforgettable. A true gem in wine country. Can’t recommend it enough.

Bell’s is a dining experience. We are here for an anniversary celebration. They custom made our menus to say our names and occasion at the top. They started us off with a complementary glass of bubbly. The food was amazing. The steak au poivre is a must get. The service was great. Bell’s is a must go to for a special weekend getaway from LA.

Bell's was in a great location for my boyfriend and I to stop by for lunch on our road trip from San Diego up to San Fransisco back in April, so I'm really glad that we stopped. Los Alamos literally feels like the old west, it was so cool. We sat outside and even though it was a little bit chilly they had heat lamps going. The service was also great, our waiters were very friendly and attentive. The mille crepe with caviar and uni was delicious, definitely a must order. We also got the "chips and dip" which was an elevated version that had regis ova caviar in the dip, so good! In my opinion the steak tartare was my least favorite thing that we got, for some reason I didn't like the peppers with it but I can see how other people would love it. For my entree I got the egg salad sandwich and that was exactly what I needed to help get me through the last few hours of the road trip! All of the ingredients used here are very fresh making for such a delicious meal.

The outside of this gem looks small, but good things come in small packages and Bell's will not disappoint. There is indoor seating with approximately four tables and counter seating of five seats. Outside in the back, is more quaint, romantic and roomy. Although the website encourages walk in for lunch seating, I noticed the evening dinner seating was "sold out" already. We visited on a Monday for lunch. Parking is on the street, or on any side street and readily available. There is one electric charging station and difficult to find. Lunch menu was small and gave the impression that the menu changes daily with the availability of fresh ingredients. When I was touring the facility I looked to see what other patrons had ordered. All smelled delightful and appealing. We shared Bell's Salad with Chicken. The first bite enveloped my taste buds with the freshness of the Romaine lettuce and fresh apple slices. The salad was also sprinkled with Persimmon Seeds, Pomegranate slices, Hazelnuts, and Pepitas. Lightly washed in a Mustard Vinaigrette dressing. I noticed a prominent lemon flavor that was refreshing. The Braised Beef Cheek Sandwich is packed with flavor on a fresh, lightly crunchy roll. The Basque Peppers add the right amount of flavor to the beef and Bearnaise Aioli, tantalizing the taste buds. The French Fries are fresh and crispy. Thin fries but seasoned with rock salt and parsley. Service was spot on. The restaurant had a full staff. Someone was always available to tend to your needs. The meal is enjoyed while listening to soft eclectic music. We enjoyed listening to "List My Head There," by Kurl Vile and "Borderline" by Tame Impala. A hip, new metro-type dining experience. The only draw back of this recent Michelin Award winning restaurant is an added 15% Service Charge to the bill and then a request for gratuity on top of that. A bit much. It just is not that kind of restaurant. No free bread, no samplings, no white table cloths, no cocktail suggestions, oh yeah... beer and wine only. But this must not be a detriment as the dinner seating was sold out. I can't wait to go back and see how the menu changes. A culinary experience and nice surprise for a Los Alamos eatery.

Special place, food was delicious and service was fabulous. We really appreciated the attention to detail, and the high quality ingredients. Favorites included the uni, crudo, sweet breads, steak, corn risotto*, and olive oil cake with roasted strawberries. Our 9-year old was also swooning over the food. Yum! Looking for a cute homie spot that delivers on flavor in a totally unexpected way? Look no further. The best way to describe the food is, “an adventure in flavor” as the combination of sweet, salty, and acidic will excite your pallet. Highly recommend this place to any foodie, it is a destination spot that I would for sure drive 3+ hours to enjoy. The staff was extremely welcoming and they tailored the menu to us by writing happy birthday, and our server, Zack, was attentive and informative. If he didn’t know the answer to something he would go find out, by the end of the meal it felt like he was already part of our party, I can’t speak more highly about his service. Most importantly he knew the menu in and out, including ingredients and allergens. I will be coming back as a returning customer, to introduce more people to this gem, stuck in the middle of the timeless town of Los alamos.

Bell’s is my favorite meal of the year so far. Their attention to detail, the customer service and the food was phenomenal. Our server Tyler (hope I got his name right) was genuine throughout the night. He helped us and entertained us a long the way throughout our meal. The food speaks for itself. Spectacular cuisine and incredible service. Mouth watering proportions are ideal to try a few things and not feel over-induldged. Ingredients across the multitude of dishes are combined and layered in ways which allow your palate to experience all of the intended flavors. As a bonus, the restaurant does a lot of awesome community charity work.

This is one of the best meals I've had in the US. While it's a bit pricey and the food takes a little time to prepare, it’s absolutely worth it. If you're traveling between Southern and Northern California (or vice versa), this is the perfect spot to stop for a delicious meal.

Excellent experience with the fixed price menu. I had the salmon though I recommend you choose the steak as your main course. Incredibly fresh with Exceptional service!

Little unexpected French corner bistro in the middle of nowhere. I passed by this cute little town so many times, and was always amazed how beautiful it is, and yet food and coffee is not quite good. And then I tried Bell’s for lunch, obviously dinner was all booked for MDW. Food is amazing, fresh, flavorful, sophisticated and simple enough at the same time. Coffee is black and pleasant. Absolutely love this place. Even a music on a background was good.

Phenomenal dining experience. I went with my husband and teenage son for a late lunch on a Saturday. Everything was perfect from the educated and attentive wait staff to the music playing on the patio. The food highlights were the gazpacho and egg salad sandwich along with the Bell’s salad but honestly everything was swoon worthy. Will be back!

Had a nice lunch here - BLT and tomato gazpacho soup. Nice decor and vibe - just seemed a bit pricey $21 for a sandwich and bag of chips and 20% service charge (in lieu of a tip).

💕 My husband and I made dinner reservations about a week before our anniversary. We got lucky as normally you'd need to make reservations a month in advance. Especially for weekend dinner. We went on a weekday and had an early dinner so maybe that's why we were able to get in. The staff were all very friendly. Great service and the food was amazing! We came here for lunch, and we loved the ambience. We got Santa Barbara Uni, Steak Frites, Moules Frites, and Gateau Breton. The Uni tasted amazing, the fries were great, and the steak was good. The mussels were a little subpar for us -- perhaps the wine wasn't fully reduced, giving it a bitter and alcoholic taste. Everything else including the cake was great. What amazed us the most were the butter on top of the steak and the caviar, which were fresh and delicious.

Bell’s is truly something special a cozy French bistro with a Michelin star that it absolutely deserves. From the moment we sat down, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You can feel the pride and care in everything they do. We ordered the panna cotta, the egg sandwich, the crab sandwich, escargot, and the pâté and every dish was a standout in its own way. The panna cotta was silky and perfectly balanced. The egg sandwich was simple but unforgettable, the kind of dish you think about days later. The crab sandwich was fresh, sweet, and beautifully composed. The escargot was rich and garlicky, classic in the best way. And the pâté… absolutely incredible rich, smooth, and full of depth. Bell’s captures that rare magic of feeling both elevated and comforting. Every bite reminded us why this place earned its Michelin star. It’s thoughtful, delicious, and executed with so much heart. If you’re anywhere near Los Alamos, Bell’s is a must. A little gem with world-class flavor and service.

The tin is from Spain and came with cultured butter and hot sauce. My boyfriend ordered the steak tartare which he really enjoyed. My dad had the mole frites, my mon had the summer vegetable salad, and I got Chicken Paillard. My mom isn’t usually a salad person but this was incredibly well done - bursting with freshness and vibrancy. My chicken paillard came with a delicious sauce and had fresh greens and cherry tomatoes. For dessert, we had both the Gateau Breton butter cake as well as the Creme caramel (flan). We’re glad e tried both but the favorite was the butter cookie - simple yet rich and decadent. Parking was easy and credit cards accepted. We walked around the small town afterwards to digest. Overall, well worth a stop from a delicious meal!

The set menu is a thoughtful five or six courses with options, and each dish was unique, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. Our meal lasted close to two hours, but the time flew by thanks to the atmosphere and the way each course flowed into the next. Bell’s truly makes dining an experience, not just a meal. Five stars isn’t enough. I almost did the prefix dinner but then decided to try lunch so I could pick and choose what I wanted. Every dish was absolutely incredible. The sea urchin Panna cotta was extremely unique and ridiculously buttery and balanced. The buckwheat crêpe was again so so unusual but absolutely perfect. The gazpacho was fresh and delightful and exactly how summer tomatoes should taste. Everything was gorgeous from the bathroom, to the back patio, to the towels hanging on the wall, to the ice bucket for chilling wine. The service was excellent and attentive but not overwhelming. The wines are ere fantastic. The prices were extremely reasonable… then again I am coming from Los Angeles but I would pay double considering the quality and excellence of every single dish & the experience. I will absolutely be going back as soon as possible (Also, can I say I love that the head chef is a woman🙌…)

For dessert we had the gateau and the caramel crème. Everything at Bell’s is priced incredibly well, the value is amazing given the quality of both the food and the service. I will be back more times in the future I am sure! Always happy to sample new menu options as they seasonally come available. If you’re driving through Los Alamos- definitely stop in for a visit, you won’t be disappointed (unless they’re booked and you didn’t make a reservation ;)!

This was one of the best prixe fixe menu’s ive had the opportunity to enjoy. Each dish is thoughtful & flavorful. The desserts were to die for. Bottles are 50% off on Monday… We ordered a nice champagne 🍾

Bell’s is the definition of high quality dining. We had heard about Bell’s from friends and were blown away by our experience. The ambiance inside is a great mix of casual yet refined dining. The servers were extremely kind and knowledgeable about the menu and were able to provide great recommendations. Overall, the food was fantastic and tasted like it was made with the high quality ingredients they claim. We started with the escargot which was delicious. We then got the tuna sandwich, crepe du jour, and the french fries. I highly recommend all of the above items- especially the fries and crepe du jour. We were so blown away by the meal that we hope to one day come back for their dinner menu. I cannot recommend Bell’s enough.

This place will knock your socks off. The freshness, flavor and aesthetic are all next level. My kiddo had the most delicious grilled cheese. Hubs had steak frite and I had the sardines and salad. Best salad I’ve had in a long time. Definitely going back!

Fantastic lunch off the a la carte menu! Salad was a little plain, but chicken, fries, and gazpacho were all very good. Love that the patio is dog friendly!

2nd time dining here and it was even better than I remembered. The steak frites and the egg salad sandwich were the highlights but the cucumber gazpacho (cold soup) and the salad were also delicious. This is a must go and it’s casual. The only Michelin starred restaurant I’ve actually enjoyed.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm smile and seated promptly, even though the place was buzzing with energy. Had a nice lunch here - BLT and tomato gazpacho soup. Nice decor and vibe - just seemed a bit pricey $21 for a sandwich and bag of chips and 20% service charge (in lieu of a tip).

First time here and I’m definitely coming back! Service: was phenomenal from beginning to end. When we walked in the staff had a warm greeting, our server Sarah was amazing!!! Came here to celebrate my anniversary and to check it out since it’s been on my list of places to try. Food: the shrimp croquettes 5/5 the homemade sauce that it came with the 5/5. The snails was delicious as well as the flavor on them! Steak frites 5/5, steak was cooked the way I wanted the butter on top of it was prefect!!

Best food I’ve had in over 20 years! Great atmosphere… Brain (the severer) was fanatic! He gave us personalized recommendations tailored to our meal and made us feel at home. This experience will be the blueprint for future fine-dining. Not pretentious , very grounded experience food focused , and accommodating to dietary restrictions.

On our drive back to NorCal we stopped to have lunch at Bell's. Very cute place with a huge patio dining area. The lunch menu had lots of interesting meat dishes. However it was limiting for a vegetarian. Your choice of an egg salad sandwich or a salad. Not quite French I think more CalFrench. Service was great, waiter was professional and friendly.

Stopped here for lunch. Nice and cool inside on a hot day. Great vibe on the back patio. He had steak frites and loved it. I had the salad with chicken with the awesome midnight moon cheese. Great dressing. Nice ice with a bottle of regular filtered water. Salt on the cheese with the baguette a thoughtful touch they gave us because our order was delayed due to a large party. Wallpaper in bathroom with woman dancing fancifully.

For a Michelin star restaurant, it was very unassuming and casual which I actually really liked compared with some others I've been to. For two of us, we ordered the wild Burgundy snails, egg salad sandwich, braised beef cheek sandwich, a side of fries, and the gateau breton for dessert. The 6 Burgundy snails were flavorful and melt in your mouth. While not too unique, they were classic and super enjoyable. The egg salad sandwich was just amazing. Now I know what you might be thinking, but wow. It was good. Really really good. It had a tomato jam inside which complemented the sandwich perfectly, and came with some unique dill but bread & butter hybrid pickles that oddly enough really worked. The braised beef cheek sandwich was okay... but honestly wasn't something I'd order again. It was a bit mellow and just didn't impress like the rest. The gateau breton was the other star. Moist on the inside with a carmalized crunch on the outside I couldn't get enough of, even as someone who doesn't really like cake. Overall an 8/10 meal that we walked away from feeling happy

Good food but a little disappointing overall. The Hope Ranch mussels were luke warm at best and the broth was nothing special. My beef cheek sandwich was room temperature and a little bland. The outside patio has a mostly decent ambiance, but it's small and they converted some seating into a storage and wine room so we felt we were seated right next to the service traffic. But the service was excellent, the cultured butter was excellent, and they have an interesting local beer selection. I'm told the dinner is better than the lunch, but frankly I can't see myself spending $200+ for dinner for 2 in that diner with a patio environment.

After a recent dine-in experience I was left disappointed, the server/dining experience seemed rushed. I was approached with a prolonged pause neither offering any insight to any dish nor welcoming attitude. I mistakenly ordered raw beef/raw egg yolk thinking I had ordered steak. When I had asked to order the steak frites, an order of fries came out by itself,when I asked if the steak would be coming soon the server said, "it appears we have a miscommunication" my steak was shortly brought out but the flavor was bland compared to what I had on prior visits. I was charged for both meals even though I did not eat the first dish. I feel like quality and service were missed.

It pains me to give this review as this was a much anticipated dining experience. I’ve heard the menu is ever changing by the day, so maybe we just hit it on an off night. We were sat at the table right as you walk in through the door. It was kind of annoying for 4 people since it was such a large round table, and it was distracting every time someone came in. I’ve heard from others that the back is a way better area for the ambiance. The food… their opening taste, uni and caviar was a nice start. Then on to the greens, which were fresh, with a date vinaigrette. Then on to the egg en croûte, which was overcooked, leaving it dry and without flavor, with the exception of the sauce, which was salty. Next up was the gnocchi, the display of which was beautiful. Unfortunately it was a salt explosion of flavor. Without saying anything, I passed it to my wife who tried and said it was like licking a salt rock, so she passed it to her friend who said “this is amazing”. To each their own. The steak was cooked perfectly, but still on the salty side. The deserts were shared and didn’t really stand out. All in, I believe I may have just missed something with Bell’s. I have an urge to secretly go back for another taste to see if things changed.
